761  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Japan plans to become the Bitcoin capital of the world. on: March 06, 2018, 10:20:26 PM
I always like Japanese technology, they are always reliable. If bitcoin is going to be developed more over there then expect big things to come out of it. Some type of fast payment method would be useful, or simplifying usage for the average Joe.
762  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I BUY GOLD OR BITCOIN? on: March 06, 2018, 10:16:42 PM
If you can jump into a time machine and go back to when gold was actually used as a form of payment then I'd take the gold. However, in an increasingly technological world - bitcoin is king!
763  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is holding bitcoin Greedy? on: March 06, 2018, 09:57:20 PM
It's a risk many are willing to take. It's true that it could be worthless in the future, Warren Buffet has said it will end badly and who would argue with the worlds best investor? I think it is worth taking a chance but don't take my word for it!
764  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin-Credit Card on: March 06, 2018, 09:55:28 PM
I think the only way it would work is if it was a pre-pay card which was topped up with bitcoin and then each day a set price is made for the conversion. It would be possible to link it to exact price at transaction due to the slow speed of transaction and volatility of the price
765  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: transferring bitcoin to paypal on: March 06, 2018, 05:23:50 PM
There is a rumour that paypal is going to start accepting bitcoins as a form of payment with their new patented technology that speeds up transaction times. This is the main problem that is hindering acceptance of bitcoin as a form of payment
766  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think the current crash is a biggest opportunity to grab asap? on: March 06, 2018, 05:22:33 PM
It is for any good investor with some spare cash. We all know the market is going to rebound and recover in a big way, whales will be taking advantage of this and buying up in big quantities.
767  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Ripple on coinbase on: March 05, 2018, 11:34:02 PM
Come on guys, coinbase will not add Ripple.
https://twitter.com/coinbase/status/970746383308177408

Must be the usual ripple shills trying to create some fomo for this bankers coin. This is not worth investing in as it has already pumped and has a large market cap. Any price rise will be modest, unless you invested in ripple 1 year ago and still have your stash
768  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: i hav 0.5 btc ... on: March 05, 2018, 06:23:06 PM
It depends on how rich you want to be and how patient you are. You can hodl and wait for it to rise moderately, or gamble it in the altcoin exchanges by picking a fast rising coin that will appreciate in value faster than bitcoin. ICO's are good if you find a good one.
769  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin affects students' performance in school on: March 05, 2018, 06:19:53 PM
It depends on what they want to be when they grow up. There are useful skills to learn from bitcoin, not just mathematics and computing, but also trading skills and market research. Education should come first though of course
770  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: After all bitcoins mined on: March 05, 2018, 06:15:10 PM
It may not take as long as these other posts are predicting. Technology is moving quickly so when more powerful processors are released so will the speed of mining. After the last one is mined, I would say price will rise even quicker!
771  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC for taxi on: March 05, 2018, 06:07:11 PM
I don't think it will work for taxis, the transaction times for bitcoin is too slow and people will want to rush out of the taxi and go. Most likely here will be an altcoin for this purpose instead.
772  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Americans jail a 24 year old for selling bitcoins wthout asking for ID on: March 05, 2018, 06:04:01 PM
A little more on the story ... the guy was previously convicted of heroin trafficking, so he was likely already on the feds radar after getting released from prison.

http://www.philly.com/philly/business/bitcoin-crime-nets-pa-heroin-trafficker-prison-time-20180228.html

Exactly, it wasn't like a regular person was trading bitcoins in private, this dude was a criminal king pin and they wanted to lock him up for as long as possible. Only worry if you're on their radar

774  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin under 1$ to invest in now? on: March 02, 2018, 11:46:36 AM
Get some WAGERR, this is gonna be big this year. It will allow p2p anonymous betting for sports and esports, with the mainnet just being released the final product is going to be ready soon. It is currently cheap due to it being on small exchanges, but they are doing a coin swap now from waves token to wagerr coin so after that it wil be listed on major exchanges. Once it hits something big, it will go well over $1 which it has done in the past already https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/wagerr/#markets
775  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: AION, SophiTX, EOS, LISK Blockchain 2018 on: March 02, 2018, 09:19:29 AM
For 2018 LISK will start to shine. It is a slow moving project but finally their SDK will be released in the next few months and ICOs will be running on their sidechains. When this starts to happen the price will go to the moon! Same thing happened to NEO, it stalled at around $40 until red pulse was released, and now it is over $100. Both projects are good, but LISK is cheaper now so you can stock up before the SDK is released.
776  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I lost half of my crypto amount! what to do? on: March 02, 2018, 12:04:51 AM
Picking the wrong coins is a common mistake, it happens all the time. When buying at the top it is a huge risk, when a coin has pumped just assumed you have missed the boat and pick something that hasn't pumped yet. Small market cap coins with good products are a good buy, xspec / deeponion will be big this year. A safer bet will be NEO which most people on this forum is agreeing to i.e. NEO will pump big in 2018
777  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: LISK price speculation on: March 01, 2018, 12:10:13 PM
It will go over $100 when they start to produce ICOs on their sidechains. Demand will build up like it has been doing with NEO when ICOs went live on their blockchain. If you check the NEO prices now, it has survived the red market with a minor dip compared with other coins. LISK will be where NEO is now by the end of this year so it is good to hodl some for the long run. Solid investment but required a bit of patience.
778  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XSPEC x200 this year on: March 01, 2018, 11:16:29 AM
I wouldn't say it is a bad investment at the current price. It has a low market cap so it is worth a gamble on a few coins that might go 100x. Not all forks are bad, remember that litecoin is a fork of bitcoin so being a fork of shadow cash is not a bad thing. I certainly wouldn't go all in with xspec, but it's at a low enough price to invest in right now. If the developer does deliver stealth staking, price will rocket as a game changing feature.
779  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitconnect is Dead.... :( on: February 27, 2018, 10:08:13 PM
There are scammers even trying to get the last rays of hope from those who have already been scammed! Seriously, this world of crypto is not for newbies. It truly is the wild wild west over here. Too bad for those who got ripped off, it is easy to be blinded by the potential riches and take a gamble - I guess people just wanted to believe that they could change their lives in the blink of an eye. They will be more cautious next time.
780  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Venezuela is about to launch a free cryptocurrency course for every citizen! on: February 26, 2018, 08:45:34 PM
I wouldn't educate them too much, they will realise that the petro is just a token on the ethereum blockchain and that there are better investments to be bought. A bunch of kittens brought down ethereum and the next wave of games is likely to make it worse. On the plus side, the more people that get into crypto the better, it ill raise the profile and value of bitcoin and ethereum which in turn will raise the overall market.
