761  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Using Crypto at Gas Stations on: February 06, 2020, 03:34:47 PM
I guess it is already possible now paying Crypto at Gas Stations by using crypto enable visa card but not most of the Gas stations are accepting Credit cards. I knew a decent crypto card like crypto. com but it is quite expensive for me to have one but I guess there are some alternatives which are cheaper. Maybe another method is easier paying crypto via crypto wallet is much better with no third party like Visa.
762  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: There is no highland of knowledge on: February 05, 2020, 05:17:07 PM
It is really up to us and the eagerness to learn, like for an instance the Ranks here on Bitcointalk it doesn't mean that you are in high rank you are better and knowledgeable than a newbie or jr rank. Having more knowledge about cryptocurrency and blockchain tech is helpful and it keeps you away from scams/fraud. You can attain some knowledge in a short period of time but the advantage of the high ranks here is experienced, those are the things that you can't attain without experiencing it for a long period of time.
763  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can more ATM's increase adoption for Bitcoin? on: February 04, 2020, 11:55:14 PM
There's no need for bitcoin ATM no more, fiat? Well yes!
Lots of gadgets have overshadowed the need for bitcoin ATM as individuals can easily explore and transact from the comfort of their homes using those gadgets
But the question is will it increase adoption for bitcoin? OP is not comparing it about how convenient is ATM or some gadget, etc. For a country that few people only believe in crypto or bitcoin, this really helps the adoption. If your local bank opening a bitcoin ATM for sure many will be curious and interested and start trusting it. Gaining the trust of the community is a core key to a nationwide or worldwide adoption.

TO OP:
Quote
Would you buy Bitcoin at ATM or nah?
It really depends on the rate, I will always go for the higher rate, ATM rate or others, but it depends on the availability and situation.
If I really need the money that fast I better choose ATM.
764  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BITCOIN ESCROW SERVICE on: February 04, 2020, 11:25:25 PM
I guess this thread is more appropriate at service discussion https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=85.0 but since your question has been answered above already and I can't add anything more because it is a complete list of trusted escrows maybe you can close this topic now.
765  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Paying with crypto is more accessible than ever on: February 04, 2020, 10:51:07 PM
It means that more people open their eyes about it and adopting it. The progress of cryptocurrency until today is really great but what I like these days are those crypto cards, there are few altcoins that partners with VISA and provides a convenient service like paying crypto in different merchant because Visa is more available currently in the establishment and businesses right now. I think VISA and cryptocurrency are not an enemy they are good partners but I find them often being compared to each other.
766  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP Price to $14 - Any thoughts? on: February 04, 2020, 06:31:21 PM
I don't hate xrp in fact, I am using it for arbitration because it is fast and has a low fee but I don't think so, Circulating supply > 43,698,224,662 XRP X $14 = $611,775,145,268 is pretty big numbers if they can really reach $14. In the next bullrun I guess Bitcoin dominance will increase more and not for XRP. Just my opinion but who knows if bitcoin reaches a great All Time High, looks like it will bring along some altcoins too, we will see about that.

The price of XRP is currently around $ 0.26
And the forecast is XRP = $ 14
So about 52 times of its value!

XRP's market capi is currently $ 2,799,788,195
* 52 = $ 145.588.986.140

BTC Market Cap * 5

So what do you think? Is it possible?
That's is Volume not Marketcap.
767  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Methods that fraudsters use to scam people on: February 04, 2020, 05:57:45 PM
Earlier this day I found a new fraud/scam on telegram, what they are doing is fooling people muting the group and provide fake proof of withdrawal they get it from a random transaction on Etherscan and make it their own if you don't check it carefully you might get fooled. To withdraw it needs to send some amount of eth a very aggressive move by scammers but some people are getting fooled they have scammed 1.3 ETH so far please help me report their telegram to stop this scam.

This is not a new trick pal, this have been around since i start investing in crytpo in 2017, once you try to warn others on the group that its all scam attempt you will instantly get banned, or if your message consists of any scam accusation you will be banned, only new investors can fall for this, its a very common trick
I am not saying a NEW trick, what I am saying is a NEW SCAM popping out which means a new group just started scamming people and needs to be reported, Everyone should be aware. If you already knew this just ignore it is not for you this is for those who do not know about it. I am just sharing it here as you say "new investors" remember there are always new investors Cool
768  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Quick Guide] deltabalances guide on: February 04, 2020, 05:08:12 PM
There are many app which track balances of a variety of assets like blockfolio and many others.

But imo all those apps are good only for newbies. Veterans already have a 100% bitcoin portfolio  , or close to that Wink
FYI that tracker is not about other coins like bitcoin as you say, it is all about Ethereum platform and tokens, It is an alternative to Etherscan most of the tokens on Etherscan is verified they are not showing some tokens that are obviously scam or sh*tcoins but there are some that still exist. This Deltabalances shows all of your tokens including sh*tokens it shows some prices on different ethereum DEX too.
769  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the next Dapp you want to see built? on: February 04, 2020, 04:23:32 PM
It is the first time I heard about Decentralized Marketplace at first I thought it was like a DEX but I see some cart right there, I will download it later to get a better look. This could be huge in the future. I vote for Video/movie sharing I haven't seen a Dapp like that it is interesting but I already encountered  DEX, P2P forum/chat. Anyways I haven't read their whitepaper and other details. where is this "Particl" running in? Ethereum, EOS or they have their own blockchain?

771  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ETH-based descentralized casinos on: February 04, 2020, 02:16:41 PM
The idea is not new.

Who doesn't like a decentralized form of gambling?

But there is no massive call or demands for that and crypto-gamblers still prefer the usual way which is choosing a much reputable site-deposit-play-withdraw. And to those persons or groups that are planning to build a site like that, gamblers should also see that they are serious in promotions and marketing.
Maybe not on Ethereum platform but they have some gambling dapps, On TRON and EOS they have decent volume with Decentralized Gambling Sites. Just like this one on Tron https://888tron.com/ But of course, do your own research about this site. To OP you can find the full list on https://dappradar.com/
772  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [ Paypal ] Where can I buy bitcoin if I have Paypal money? on: February 04, 2020, 01:36:22 PM
Hello, it's always better if you can do some on forum dealings although most people here will not agree to accept paypal because of it's reversable nature. However, I am promoting BestChange, so, I can suggest you using BestChange for buying Bitcoin with Paypal. Make sure you have checked the feedback given on the available exchange suggested by BestChange. https://www.bestchange.com/paypal-usd-to-bitcoin.html
I support this OP but first try in your own risk and read their policies. Besides from our signature I also recommend these sites
https://localbitcoins.com/ and https://paxful.com.  I know you said this
Quote
"- I'm not looking for a person who I can pay Paypal to exchange with Bitcoin"
but if you are still into p2p you can find some reputable member here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=53.0 don't trade with untrusted members with no trade history and feedbacks.
773  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coins do you Hold ? on: February 04, 2020, 01:06:33 PM
The safest one, of course, I should say Bitcoin but since you are posting in Altcoin Discussion I recommend ETH the second-largest marketcap next to Bitcoin. I not a fan of long term HODL in other coins. In trading, I'll just do scalping, the profit is not that high but it is earning a little, but if you are holding I guess it is okay with reputable coins just do your own research. I think those coins you invested in are decent and actually you are good at english.
774  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing 1$ every day in bitcoin over the last five years on: February 04, 2020, 02:38:19 AM
In my case, as a freelance graphic designer that accepts crypto. I do save the every 5% of my salary or every project in my bitcoin paper wallet. This is for my family and for my kid's educational fund in the next decade. I believe this is far better than investing in banks.
I guess this is better saving from your salary every project than investing 1$ every day since you already have the amount you don't need to worry about the transaction fee. But the only downfall is you need to invest it for longterm investment since you don't know when will the market price will go pump and dump in the market better not to use it in emergency since you might lose profit if you need the money and you might withdraw your investment in a low price in the market. Also investing in bitcoin and even saving money is not that easy Grin

You have a point when you are accepting cryptocurrency as payment and save or hold it, there is a tendency that it will go down, just like me I am joining signature and other stuff like creating banner and stickers, etc. here on bitcointalk and I converted it all to fiat. Getting $1 from your daily job is better in this scenario and it is good when we are in a bear market. But when we are in bull market Freelance job that accepts crypto is an advantage they can earn more and grow their money as bitcoin price increases.
775  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So a bitcoin scam has been getting a lot of publicity in the Philippines lately on: February 03, 2020, 11:00:54 PM
I saw this in his TV Program I'm sad about how he said it, looks like he is allergic to bitcoin. In fact, Bitcoin is just a cryptocurrency being used as a payment method by scammers and bitcoin is not a scam. Bitcoin is just like a dollar, So if a dollar used as a mode of payment by scammers? the dollar is a scam? I wish he has more knowledge about it so he can clarify everything. Of course, it has an impact on those who don't have knowledge about cryptocurrency and blockchain. Ignorance is dangerous.
776  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto gambling websites need to add self-control functionality! on: February 03, 2020, 10:30:22 PM
This is not about the gambling website it is about yourself on how you can control it. You can always delete or email the support to delete your account but that is not the solution you can always create a new account or register to a new site. I think you need to control yourself and have self-discipline.
No matter how I look at it, If you really want it you are still coming back and create another account.  Cheesy The best solution is to tell your wife or husband what you are doing so she can stop you from it and keep nagging you all day, maybe it will help.

777  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I feared new altcoins might be left out on: February 03, 2020, 10:08:56 PM
I think if the altcoin is really promising and you have done a lot of research already maybe for me, I will just sell 80% - 90% of it for bitcoin, of course, your decision is good #BTC is the safest coin in cryptocurrency no doubt about it. Only legit, unique and has community support will survive of course if no one is buying or support it, it will probably die. But bitcoin is different no one is backing it just the community is enough.
778  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: How to protect yourself from fake giveaways. on: February 03, 2020, 09:43:47 PM
I have been seeing more scammers on telegram there is only one thing to verify these telegram groups or even twitter and facebook, go to their website as you say and make sure it is the correct URL and find their social media usually in the bottom. If you are not sure about the website go to coinmarketcap if the project is listed there you can find some info there even chats, etc.
I use adblocker (Ublock origin) too and anti-phishing protection like cryptonite by metacert.
779  Local / Pamilihan / Re: [Newbie to Full Member ranks] Merit Spree for the future of Phil Local Members on: February 03, 2020, 02:43:45 AM
Its been a fruitful 3 years for me here in the forum actually this coming August 2020 is my 3 years stay here. I just luckily found the forum while finding some Satohsi (Faucet Website). But I didn't Register that time, Later on I learned about bounty and airdrop and it requires to register and that's where it started. The most important thing I have learned is about Satoshi Nakamoto, I have learned that after several months  Cheesy I was just amazed that He/she is the creator of bitcoin and the Founder of this forum. A life-changing creation that unites the world. As a member, I am thankful and proud to be here.

I have learned a few things.
* I have learned about cryptocurrency and blockchain technology but I am not an expert.
* To be a good member you don't have to be a good poster and create many threads, reading and learning at the same time is enough. But if you have the
knowledge and you know it can help others it is much better.
* Use the search button before creating new threads.
* Time management, Signature campaigns really helps me in that part.  Cheesy

Scammers are everywhere on telegram when you join to a particular group they will chat you promoting some website saying they have funds and cant withdraw and obviously a trap similar to your case, I am still getting some unknown PM but if they didn't state their true intention I just report spam and blocked them or ignore. Don't ever give them your info they ask for emails, locations, etc. they are very desperate please be careful guys.
