ICO rating sites talk money from ICO's for favourable ratings. I have seen them recommending projects that I was able to discern as an obvious scam within the first 5 minutes of my due diligence process. They do little beyond replicating the information that is already on the ICO site without doing anything to verify it. If you use ICO rating sites to guide your investment decisions you will end up losing a lot of money.

I think that the community is a hugely important part of cryptocurrency success. If you look at every single coin in the top 100 on CoinMarketCap you will see that each of them has developed a community that is highly supportive of the project. It is one of the things I look for when I am assessing new coins for investment. You can use the search features on the site to get the information you want.
Just go to the search page and use WAVES as your keyword, set a time frame and search only the Announcements or Bounties threads.
You can also choose to search "topic subjects only" which will give you only threads started in your time frame that mention WAVES.

I think there is a great demand from investors for accurate and verified information about ICO's. Within the traditional investment industry you have brokers playing that role by acting as underwriter to IPO's. The cryptocurrency space needs to develope the same sort of businesses that can provide investors with kind of information they need to make intelligent investment decisions.

There are a lot of projects that are diligently executing their business plan and meeting their roadmap targets but are so far being ignored by investors. I am having no trouble finding good projects that ICO'ed last year that are trading at a small percentage of their book value. This bear market is one of the greatest gifts to smart investors who know how to find really good projects that are trading for pennies on the dollar.

There are quite a few that are doing that in the mistaken belief that the market will rebound. Quite a few bounty managers that used to pay on time no longer do and are ruining their reputation. I get regular email from one about new bounties that I don't even bother opening. Other bounty managers have become pedantic morons and will disqualify you for the slightest reason meanwhile they allow their bounties to fill up with worthless bots. I generally now avoid bounties done by "bounty managers" as they tend to be very poorly run and I now recommend to my clients that they run their bounties in-house.

It really should not matter but as others have already said there area lot of newbie investors who think a lower price means a greater chance of the coin rising multiple times because they mistakenly believe the "Law of Small Numbers" that applies to stock market investing also applies to cryptocurrency markets. What they fail to grasp is things like Board Lots are of no importance and that unlike shares cryptocurrencies are divisible to multiple decimal places.

BTC is the AOL of Cryptocurrencies, it had the advantage of being first but will slowly lose its dominance because it is not capable of evolving. The case for Ethereum just continues to get stronger with the recent announcement that Hyperledger has gone into a partnership with the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance. This will pave the way for Ethereum to become the dominant platform on which enterprise blockchain solutions are built.

I think the bear market is over but if by bull market you mean the kind of rapid rise we saw in 2017 then I think you may wait a long time before anything like that happens again. I expect that the overall market will rise but it will be much less steep and over a longer time horizon than in 2017. You need to put 2017 behind you and remember it was an anomoly that is very unlikely to return.
