767  Other / Off-topic / Re: Scrypt Asic International on: November 22, 2013, 02:53:47 AM
Their site seems like a bunch of bullshit, we aren't going to mine with it to prove it's hashrate?

"We have had a lot of emails asking why don’t we mine on a pool to prove its hashing speed but we do not feel that this is fair to have to choose a particular Scrypt coin to mine, we want to keep everything neutral and fair."

What a bunch of shit lol.

typical scammer excuse

Cindi32 is a fairly obvious sock puppet of bitcoiner222, Exdeus is another matter.

Update - I received a full refund. I dont know if he reversed the payments himself or paypal did it.

Status:

This claim has been decided in your favor and you'll receive a refund

In the end Im out nothing, but, a lesson has been learned.

im glad it was resolved
776  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: WTB - Im looking for 2BTC - Paypal - Gox price on: November 19, 2013, 04:04:29 PM
the problem is that if he waited days and the guy is a scammer by then he would have already taken the money out of the paypal account then the sender is stuck with nothing because paypal will not reimburse you from their own pocket they take the money back from the receivers account but if the receiver has no funds in their paypal account the account just goes negative and the sender is left with nothing ive had this happen to me before in the past i was just stuck with nothing

you can cash out with paypal in 30 seconds as soon as funds land so he would be in the same boat. If he was going to be scammed it would have happend as soon as he sent payment. so waiting 24 hours wouldnt have changed anything.

you cannot if you using a paypal debit card there is a daily limit if you are sending funds to your bank it takes 2-3 days
