761  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Theoretically there will be exactly no bitcoins in the future. on: May 07, 2016, 04:00:45 PM
Op's argument isn't entirely wrong though. We've only considered the present times which is that the number of bitcoins lost is dust compared to what is mined everyday. If, I say again, if there comes a point when there are no minable bitcoins left, the number of bitcoins will start reducing everyday. Those that hold onto bitcoins with paper wallet can, theoretically, be 'lost' because they are not in transaction anymore.
I stand to be corrected as this is only an opinion.
762  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you actively spend your bitcoins? on: May 06, 2016, 07:36:50 PM
No, currently I am not spending actively but I am saving for the future.

price will climb up in next couple of months so you can sell it, but I do spend my bitcoins actively, for online purchases or for paying my bills, as I want that its useless to keep bitcoins idle, it should be used in the best possible way.

I hope everyone feels the same as you feel, as majority  of people are holding their coins without spending it and that will led to decline in the value of bitcoin in long run.
Yes we should have to use bitcoin as a normal currency so that it will flourish, and if we kept these coins for long time then after a few years bitcoin value will be not god and the fluctuation will be continue, sometime up and sometime down and no stability will occur.
You are true but here people do not hold their coins for life time but it is only holding till halving and after that bitcoin will be used the same as other currency and people will then start their businesses with it.
763  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: May 06, 2016, 07:27:36 PM
For now, better you invest your money into bitcoin now. Because i think the price of bitcoin will increase because halving is so close now.

That's true we all are hoping for the same that price will be higher in coming days, so if you have a plan and capital to invest now then bitcoin is the right choice.
And the important thing is that we have to work to increase the demand of bitcoin as it is also one of the major factor for the price increase of bitcoin, if the buyers increase then the sellers will be satisfied with their coins and will not sell at cheap.
764  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin can not replace fiat on: May 06, 2016, 07:20:28 PM
Of course not. You must be mad to ever think that it can replace what took 100's of year to develop and people have died for. To undo that in say 5 years is a farce and undermining humanities ability to keep it's economical fabric intact.

Wow that is a good one there Sir. I guess you are in writing or something. And I strongly agree with you. That is one hell of a history of a country and just change it for something that have been made just years ago and is still young.
Yes, bitcoin is born only a few years ago and it will take centuries to become a currency which will be able to replace any country fiat, otherwise bitcoin will remain as online virtual currency and will be there only.
765  Economy / Economics / Re: Does the Price of Bitcoin Matter? on: May 06, 2016, 07:15:38 PM
For newbies the price does matter if they see the price rise they will buy in and if it goes down they will sell all their bitcoins fast for sure.
I think this rule is only applying for the newbies..

I think no, for newbies price is the main factor to begin working with crypto currency world, they seeing that price is good and than making decision.
For newbies the price increase is a major factor in order to join bitcoin and after that if they involved completely in that field they try to learn more and so after that they come to know all the realities of bitcoin.
766  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you quit your day job to go full time on bitcoin? on: May 06, 2016, 07:05:11 PM
I will never quit my job to get full time on  bitcoin as spending whole day on laptop would be really weird, so  I will just treat bitcoin as an passive income.
I think it would be a bit bored if you stare at the computer all day. what's the difference with working in an office?
I think bitcoin easier?
It is also correct, we should have to make some change in our daily routine with different timing, with that we will be fresh and wil not get bored and do our both jobs with happiness, so do a day job at day and after that come to online job.
767  Economy / Economics / Re: Why You Should Never Sell Your Bitcoins Ever on: May 06, 2016, 06:53:43 PM
Selling your Bitcoin will be not that best now indeed because I dont see also no reason to sell it because the value is not even that high so you wont get much money for it.
And you can better wait a longer time if you want to sell it and it can takes indeed a long time until it will reach that high value.

I think holding for the next couple of months could be better as halving is coming so we might see higher price by then, but holding forever and not selling is something foolish thing to do.

I believe on what you have said JumperX holding bitcoins forever is just a waste of bitcoins. Much better to hold bitcoins for just a couple of years or five and then sell it because we are sure that you will get some bucks on it.

Yes everyone wants to make money from bitcoin and if you will never sell it then how can you expect to make profits by just holding it, sell it when you see price is higher.
I don't even get the logic of "not selling bitcoins ever is profitable." Holding on to bitcoins is highly different to "not selling" bitcoins. Buy low sell high. That's just how it works whether in investing or in trading. The difference is the time-scale.
It means that the price will increase and decrease but we do not have to take part in that trend and we only have to keep our coins in our wallet in order to reduce the supply and with that the price will be increased.
768  Economy / Speculation / Re: Getting closer to Halving but .. no increase ? on: May 06, 2016, 06:36:55 PM
I don't know what you mean about no increase but Bitcoins ARE slowly, steadily increasing in value from $400 to $450 in just about a month.

You might've not noticed but there really is an increase.

this topic started in March, the price value of bitcoin even dropped some back there, from $400+ to $370 as i remember. the nearly increase sure is obvious like a sky rocket, no one can not notice.
Yes, the price is definitely increasing but no one is noticing that increase and it will start to increase with more speed as the month of June and July come more nearer, just wait a little more and continue to buy bitcoins.
769  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: May 06, 2016, 04:45:47 PM
I would really go for the bitcoin because of the patience you need with gold, I do not want to wait for such a long time to make profit.

patience is obvious for both. if Gold need more patience it is also have more profit then bitcoin. you can sell gold also for less profit if you can't wait. and if you hold bitcoin for long time you also get more profit.  so I think both are equally important and have advantages.
No gold do not have more profit than bitcoin, the amount which gold will give you after a few years will given to you by bitcoin within a few weeks or if more longer than I will say a few months, so bitcoin is more profitable than gold.
770  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of the paper money on: May 06, 2016, 04:22:52 PM
In Germany the biggest bill (500€) is gonna get removed.
That speaks for itself.
Has it been confirmed? I tried searching for articles about it and I've only seen that Germany, Austria, etc are still debating and only considering it because they might not be able to support without the 500euro bills.
771  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin make Banks disappear? on: May 06, 2016, 03:43:37 PM
It will only make it disappear when there will be a lot of people that is going to use Bitcoin otherwise it will be not possible for them and that will takes indeed a long time.
So you have to know that there will be a lot of people must promote Bitcoin to disappear the Bitcoin.
What? I'm highly confused of what you said. People must promote Bitcoin so bitcoin would disappear? What? That's very contradicting what you said there. How can bitcoin disappear if people must promote them? Or do you mean 'people must promote Bitcoin to disappear banks' ? Well even so, I have to tell you that that would be nearly impossible.
772  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Bitcoin not have been a better option for Zimbabwe? on: May 06, 2016, 03:08:00 PM
Bitcoin would definitely be the better choice for Zimbabwe. But the problem is that it needs internet and internet connection is really rough there. I mean, somebody, an individual or a company, would have to invest/donate to Zimbabwe so they can have access to better internet and that would require heck load of funds and guts.
773  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you still believe in bitcoin on: May 05, 2016, 06:59:48 PM
I will continue to believe in bitcoin bitcoin for me to be successfu
I'm also sailing on the same boat like you. Believing on bitcoin ecosystem would definitely make me more successful in near future in terms of financial freedom. For that we must continue our beliefs on bitcoin like keep on investing into it and saving it for long-term.
774  Other / Archival / Re: Do you use bitcoin as currency or investment? on: May 05, 2016, 06:50:31 PM
I use Bitcoins as a currency and investment.
Most of the people right now saving bitcoin as investment as well as they are daily using it as currency. But the prime deciding factor would be their belief on bitcoin ecosystem. If they believe bitcoin would return some life changing returns then definitely they will stop spending bitcoin and they will save more.
775  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: HYIP !!! on: May 05, 2016, 06:42:45 PM
My very first reaction when I saw this thread is "Noo! Another one's going to regret his decisions!" and I was glad when I read the content that op is just asking what it is. Basically, it is what the users before me linked. Just stay away from them. It's hard to know if they're ponzi scams or not, but it's definitely a lot harder to find a legit hyip.
776  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you ever wonder... on: May 05, 2016, 06:24:45 PM
Why in the hell this amazing world changing technology called bitcoin is down here at the $400 ($7 billion market cap) level.

It blows my mind how people aren't realising this and buying it with every last dollar they can find.

This is the answer to the worldwide currency devaluation as well world peace and poverty!!!!!

Everytime I check the price I am completely bewildered that the price hasn't shot to the moon!!

Am I the crazy one or is the rest of the world really that stupid?
No. You're not a crazy one here but a little however. There are many reasons why the value of bitcoins is still in the 4zone (<$500). Most people truly don't see the potential of bitcoins because, well from personal experience, many of my friends try to avoid large online transactions. They feel insecure. Just give it some time. People wil eventually realize how great bitcoin is and there will come a time when we can say to their face "Told you so!"
777  Other / Off-topic / Re: Worst mistake you did with Bitcoin? on: May 04, 2016, 07:34:40 AM
Sending to the wrong address...happened yesterday Sad

Luckily it wasn't a lot...but still, never make transactions/trades when you're sleepy  Shocked
I heard some where in this forum, there is a virus bot, which enforces wrong bitcoin addresses when you are copying bitcoins address. I'm not a technical guy how this is possible. But, we need to be very much careful after pasting bitcoin addresses in the send field.
778  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People hate Bitcoins? on: May 04, 2016, 07:17:09 AM
We can't generalize this information but there is some people and not all of them hating Bitcoin. In the other hand i think Bitcoin's having nowadays a large community which support and advertise it as well

Only loosers hates bitcoin who don't have a courage to digest failure, majority of the users loves bitcoin and that is the reason we all are investing our time in earning it.
You are right. I too could not understand any reason why people are hating bitcoins. Only those who were missed out their opportunities to get start with bitcoin may hate bitcoins. Maybe some competitors like Paypal kind of payment processes spread rumors like people hating bitcoins.
779  Other / Off-topic / Re: 2017 Year of the Bitcoin on: May 04, 2016, 07:05:57 AM
This again? Which year hasn't been entitled as a 'Year of Bitcoin' yet? People always have higher expectations in the symbolic moments (beginning/end of something) or when they expect quick and significant profits - they are excited by that perspective.
That's true. People get more exiting at the beginning or end of the year with respect to bitcoin prices.
Most probably I too would believe within 2016, we can see some new lifetime higher price for bitcoin. So, there are more chances to name 2017 as a year of bitcoin.
780  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin can not replace fiat on: May 02, 2016, 04:18:02 PM
Bitcoin cannot replace fiat is not true. It will replace soon

Not at all a possible thing. Till the day we describe bitcoin in terms of dollar or some other form of currency, bitcoin would never replace fiat.
Fiat is still need and necessary since we are using it to buy goods in the real world. Bitcoin only used to buy online gooda and services and can only be used online.

There is no need for bitcoin to replace fiat since these are 2 seperate things. I would like bitcoin to be an option next to fiat. Sine both of them are very handy.
And for offline world people need fiat more as for them fiat is much convenient to pay for the goods on their local market, and they pay to the seller with the fiat within no time without any transaction fee.
