How can my pool be added to the list? (Who do I need to bribe ;-)  )

Why is there never a simple download link, that would ALSO work from the command line?Huh?
764  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New 1.2.0 Automated Transactions on: January 10, 2015, 07:14:52 AM
I want to run a node. I got a fix IP, I got 100 MB line, I got a NAT router with port forwarding.

I followed the instructions of NXT, but by entering the information for the hallmark, it ends in page not found.
What do I need to change to get over that point?
765  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bittrex / Poloniex / Cryptsy All Coin Trading Software, Quatloo Trader. on: January 06, 2015, 11:57:46 PM
@Elmit looks like you should send some of those 1915.49 coins from polo to bittrex because you did not have enough there to cover the arb of 354.55 coins.

I expected that this will be automatically done!!!
Maybe I missunderstand arbitrage at all.

I thought it means, if there is a better rate at the other side, then transfer coins over.

I read the line:
BuyFrom Poloniex at a rate 0.00000143  354.55 <coins>, sell it to Bittrex at 0.00000146
as:
send 354.55 <coins> from Poloniex to Bittrex

Now, even worse, my coins at Poloniex are gone!!! No trading history at Poloniex, but now zero.

766  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bittrex / Poloniex / Cryptsy All Coin Trading Software, Quatloo Trader. on: January 06, 2015, 05:08:58 AM
somehow my arbitrage trading does not work. Please explain me the reason:

Quatloo Trader 2.3.1.7
Bittrex BTC: 0.00195     Poloniex BTC: 0.0014
BTC holdings to use  (tried to use:) 0%, 10%, ... 100%
Coin holdings to use  (tried to use:) 30%, ... 100%
Minimum arbitrage: 1%

Bittrex Coin Balance: 13
Poloniex Coin Balance: 1915.49

Bittrex Buy    Poloniex Sell     Poloniex Buy   Bittrex Sell     Arbitrage
0.00000146     0.00000143      0.00000140    0.00000155     Yes 2.10%

BuyFrom  BuyRate        SellTo   SellRate        Quantity     Percentage    Result
Poloniex   0.00000143   Bittrex  0.00000146   354.550625  2.10             Fail - exceeded <coin> percentage allotted for arbitrage in Bittrex or balance is 0

Which value does not match?

767  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bittrex / Poloniex / Cryptsy All Coin Trading Software, Quatloo Trader. on: December 04, 2014, 06:59:08 AM
Quatloo Trader 2.3.1.2 released!  3 way Arbitration with Bittrex-Poloniex-Cryptsy
http://quatloos.org/downloads/Quatloo-Trader2.3.zip

3 way arbitration requires 20,000QTL holdings.

I think that is too much.

I prefer instead of new feature to fix all open things first.
768  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Alphacoin - the new innovative alt coin! | Version 1.1 released, please update! on: December 01, 2014, 03:56:52 AM
It seems alphacoin is dead!!!

The wallet cannot sync anymore, even with 8 connections I am 795716 blocks behind. There is no maintenance anymore at github.

R.I.P.
769  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bittrex / Poloniex / Cryptsy All Coin Trading Software, Quatloo Trader. on: November 10, 2014, 02:17:07 PM
I use the program now for a week and found some parts that could be enhanced:

1. it would be nice to have the same column order for different exchanges, also the same font!!!

2. it would be better to use a different color schema for each exchange

3. BITtrex BaseCoinValue is the default sorting

4. CEX_IO has no accounts listing

5. CEX_IO Marketing History does not mention WHAT was traded

6. Export to Excel for decision making information is good, but Common markets is missing

7. One error popped up saying that I must have at least 1000 QTLs to operate the program, and I have 4000. This error does not go away till you restart the program!!!
I have 3 windows open and had to set all for each trading pair again, ... It would be nice if we could use templates, or if the last setting for EACH coin would be saved automatically

8. Auto refresh after placing order does not work, if it is traded via auto pilot.

I thought it is time to upgrade from 3.99 (gridseed), which I downloaded then, ...

Now I did:
sudo apt-get install bfgminer  - that installed 3.10 again!!!

I downloaded the zip file and configured with:
./configure --enable-cpumining --enable-scrypt

sudo ./bfgminer   finds my ~/.bfgminer/bfgminer.conf

which includes, beside the pools:

"api-listen" : true,
"api-mcast-port" : "4028",
"api-port" : "4028",
"expiry" : "120",
"expiry-lp" : "3600",
"log" : "5",
"log-microseconds" : true,
"no-pool-disable" : true,
"no-show-processors" : true,
"no-show-procs" : true,
"queue" : "3",
"scan-time" : "60",
"scrypt" : true,
"skip-security-checks" : "0",
"submit-stale" : true,
"temp-hysteresis" : "3",
"shares" : 0,
"kernel-path" : "/usr/local/share/bfgminer",
"scan" : [
   "gridseed:all"
],
"set-device" : [
   "gridseed:clock=800"
],
"api-allow" : "W:127.0.0.1",
"api-description" : "BfgMiner 3.99.0"

When I execute bfgminer, it shows the gridseed devices, but does not find anything to mine.
Changing the directory of bfgminer-3.99 let me mine immediately.

The pool uses nomp, just in case that matters.

What have I forgoten to do?
773  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Alphacoin - the new innovative alt coin! | Version 1.1 released, please update! on: October 20, 2014, 12:42:31 AM
... So, I just downloaded the wallet to try out solo mining, then will probably delete it. Says that there are still a few people mining this coin other than me. Are any of them here? If so, I am curious why you are still mining a coin that is, for most intents and purposes, dead?

Where did you download the wallet?

774  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Some wallets give me headache on: September 11, 2014, 04:37:03 AM
I have some troubles with some wallets, compiling on a Ubuntu 14.04 machine:

alphacoin
The link to download a compiled version is not valid anymore, not for Windows nor for Linux. I tried to use qmake/make:

/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -loleaut32
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [alphacoin-qt] Error 1

noblecoin
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lboost_system-mgw46-mt-1_54
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lboost_filesystem-mgw46-mt-1_54
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lboost_program_options-mgw46-mt-1_54
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lboost_thread-mgw46-mt-1_54
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [noblecoin-qt] Error 1

Krugercoin does sync, but will never finish. The bar at the bottom ends, but the sync still remains.

How can I solve these three problems?

775  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / NOMP - setup, questions, hints for enhancements on: August 22, 2014, 04:31:53 AM
I have setup NOMP and it is running. Still there are a couple of questions, which I am not sure or fail to do.

1. I have setup for two coin daemons blocknotify.
So far I do not see any possible usefulness of doing that. In fact it just bothers me to see lines on my screen telling me that it has NOT found a block:

sh: 1: /bin/blocknotify 127.0.0.1:17117 einsteinium 649fcbdba95bbeaf8f8693616893723e79687bfafbef7009d21899fcb1fd2c62: not found

sh: 1: /bin/blocknotify 127.0.0.1:17117 einsteinium bcada6ad3a4b35dc13e81af021b34833b792b4e8d44a54c1bfe2c61b5d38be6c: not found
sh: 1: /bin/blocknotify 127.0.0.1:17117 42 0a948ea648760a00ef4f1ececeb61d3dcd117b918bb5674c23321b7c9f2c7405: not found

Is there a way to direct this to a blocknotify.log file instead. If I want to know it, I would look up there.

2. A pool config file starts with:

{
    "enabled": true,
    "coin": "litecoin.json",

    "address": "LeJZH5ZpD2F9o3FLEj7WpBodkW5x3wAZ6U",

    "rewardRecipients": {
        "f720e6b8d6dd0572bd33781bcb64220eac57cb44": 0.9,
        "22851477d63a085dbc2398c8430af1c09e7343f6": 0.1
    },

The "address" I got with:
litecoind getaccountaddress ""
LeJZH5ZpD2F9o3FLEj7WpBodkW5x3wAZ6U

Do I need to know the private key? If so, how to get?

Is it OK to use a key instead of a litecoin address for the rewardRecipients?

3. How can I retrieve the PUBLIC address of a miner, who is mining with a key?
The idea is to get a page up showing for a miner all his balances in all currencies.

4. backup daemon
I copy ~/.litecoin/litecoin.conf into ~/.litecoin/backup/litecoin.conf
litecoin.conf looks like:
server=1
gen=0
rpcport=9332
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcuser=lite_user
rpcpassword=xxxxxx

What do I need to change for the file backup/litecoin.conf ?

Is it correct to start then the litecoin daemon with:
litecoind -daemon -datadir=/backup

"at least one backup daemon" - how would I setup a second backup daemon???

In pool_configs/litecoin.json I would add in the "daemons" the second daemon:
    "daemons": [
        {
            "host": "127.0.0.1",
            "port": 9332,
            "user": "lite_user",
            "password": "xxxxxx"
        },
        {
            "host": "127.0.0.1",
            "port": 29332,
            "user": "lite_user2",
            "password": "xxxxxx2"
        }
    ],

(depending on what I have to set in the backup/litecoin.conf)

5. forever
Do I need forever or forever-monitor or both?
How to setup / use it?

6. IP tables
I am lost what I need to do at a Linux system, to make it automatically.
I understand that it allows me to enable/disable ports to the server.
Some of the ports are coming from a webserver, NOMP web site, NODE irc site, some from the mining ports, ...
What is a good idea to open/close? (I know better close all what you do not need, ...)

7. Website changes
How can I add the information of Profit Result line:
2014-08-22 12:14:21 [Profit]   [RESULT] Best coin for scrypt is fastcoin on Cryptsy with 0.00055581 BTC/day per Mh/s

There is also an error not showing the port for auto-switching.
Does anybody have an idea how to fix it, or how to circumvent it hard coded?

... please jump in where you can add/clarify.

How can I fix that?
780  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Auto swtiching - Auth error on: August 14, 2014, 12:43:05 PM
I came a big leap further ;-)

I found on http://pool.kryptochaos.com/mining_key   how to create the address.
This address now works even when it switches to another coin.

However, how do I handle that? Where are the awards going to? How can I check it?
If you know of a guide, please give me the link!
