761  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin? on: March 05, 2015, 02:02:24 PM

There are no safe investments with btc.

I'd argue the best way to 'grow' your bitcoin is to start your own business / service, but even then there's no guarantee it will suceed and make a profit. There's no easy way increase your wallet balance, scams like cloud-mining and dodgy dice sites are best avoided if you don't wont to get burned.
762  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Saudi executions now at 'unprecedented rate'... on: March 05, 2015, 01:31:40 PM
Saudi Arabia is a place where the people want to live according to the stone age rules. I don't care about them, as long as these people stay there and leave everyone else at peace. But what is happening is that every year hundreds of billions of USD is given out by the Saudis, to spread their stone age ideology elsewhere. I just hope that the falling oil prices will stop this.

Surely the US will call for regime change?  Smiley

Strange that one of America's staunchest allies is also one of the most backward countries on this planet. Guess money (oil) can buy everything.
763  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The NSA’s Call Records Program Didn’t Stop a Single Terrorist Attack on: March 05, 2015, 12:46:48 PM

Quote
The pesky, rather inconvenient fact is that the government's mass surveillance programs operating under Section 215 of the Patriot Act have never stopped an act of terrorism.

After wasting $billions of taxpayers money you'd think the US gov would start questioning the reasons for funding agencies like the NSA (assuming it's not to spy on every human on this planet) if they haven't stopped any terrorist activity.

Can't see how there can be anything patriotic with laws allowing mass surveillance programs.
764  Other / Politics & Society / Re: US police shoot homeless man dead in Los Angeles on: March 04, 2015, 09:36:03 PM
I'd think the homeless guy doesnt have the current mental privillage to understand exactly what might happen if he goes for the officers gun.  If the police are actually protecting the public they have to take this into account.   Decision making is different at different times.

Conclusion: If you are a good cop its your job to not let this particular guy in range of your weapon.   Seriously this is an embarrassment for the police.
kind of hard to arrest and cuff someone without him being in range of your weapon unless you have telekinesis

No way at all that guy posed an immediate threat, if six police officers can't subdue one unarmed homeless dude then they really need to put the donuts down and hit the gym.
765  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Free BTC Methods on: March 04, 2015, 08:19:57 PM
What are your best methods?

Feel free to share below!

Faucets are pretty much pointless when it comes to earning btc so I'd avoid them unless you want to spend hours earning a few cents.

Sig campaigns pay a bit more but you still have spend your time making the required post counts etc.
766  Other / Off-topic / Re: How do you earn money online? on: March 04, 2015, 07:30:52 PM
Currently I don't earn money online but I'd like to. Any good suggestion is welcomed.

Sites like freelancer.com can be good for for earning a few $$$ online, apart from signing up for sig campaigns you can try pimping your skills out on the services board.

Some members earn btc by providing loans and escrow services though there would be some risk involved.
767  Other / Politics & Society / London property boom built on dirty fiat on: March 04, 2015, 10:46:55 AM

Billions of pounds of corruptly gained money has been laundered by criminals and foreign officials buying upmarket London properties through anonymous offshore front companies – making the city arguably the world capital of money laundering.

Some 36,342 properties in London have been bought through hidden companies in offshore havens and while a majority of those will have been kept secret for legitimate privacy purposes, vast numbers are thought to have been bought anonymously to hide stolen money.

The flow of corrupt cash has driven up average prices with a “widespread ripple effect down the property price chain and beyond London”, according to property experts cited in the most comprehensive study ever carried out into the long-suspected money laundering route through central London real estate, by the respected anti-corruption organisation Transparency International.

Some sources claim it has skewed developers towards building high-priced flats and houses rather than ones ordinary people can afford. While corruption and tax evasion are likely to be the biggest sources of the illicit money, drug dealing, people trafficking and sanctions busting are also common, police say.

TI’s research, which includes previously unreleased internal figures from the Metropolitan Police Proceeds of Corruption Unit, found that 75 per cent of properties owned by people under criminal investigation for corruption are held through secret offshore companies.

London has become a global magnet for corrupt funds, TI said, due to the high prices of property – enabling millions of pounds to be laundered at a time – and Britain’s notoriously lax rules on the disclosure of property ownership.

Any anonymous company in a secret location, such as the British Virgin Islands, can buy and sell houses in the UK with no disclosure of who the actual purchaser is. Meanwhile, TI said, estate agents only have to carry out anti-money-laundering checks on the person selling the property, leaving the buyers bringing their money into the country facing little, if any scrutiny.

768  Other / Off-topic / Re: Which BTC wallet are you using on: March 04, 2015, 09:54:02 AM
I personally use Blockchain, as it's by far the most convenient and easy to use.

yes I think almost everyone uses blockchain, because it is reliable. Simple and easy to use.

and walletnya quite compatible in every game direct

Haven't used Blockchain.info since the 'hacks' but it does look like a lot of people still use their wallets to store btc.

Electrum is one of my favorite wallets without doubt, was glad to hear its been bundled with the latest Tails OS. Apart from that I keep a few satoshi in exchanges so I can quickly buy some alts without having to wait to deposit bitcoin.
769  Economy / Services / Re: DaDice.com Signature Campaign - The Best Campaign Yet! on: March 03, 2015, 05:40:48 PM
Just saw (looks like the post has disappeared) that I was pending being accepted for the sig campaign, any reason why that is?

You were on pending because your post history is not very good.
Nov 26 then a series of posts on Dec 10, Jan 21, then feb 27. (many are in off-topic too)

I removed it because I want to enquire with dadice whether such is allowed and should you and few others be enrolled since essentially this is a pay per post campaign and there are a good number of rules given in OP too.

Fair enough, I agree some of my post history is a bit patchy but I guarantee I'll improve the quality and amount of comments (without spamming Wink) if you decide to sign me up. Got quite of bit of spare time over the next few months so it shouldn't be a problem.

thanks

771  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can I publish my book for Bitcoin? on: March 02, 2015, 07:38:37 PM
A really easy way would be to sell on an auction site like https://cryptothrift.com/

Fairly sure they've got digital download section but you'd have to check it out for yourself.
772  Economy / Economics / Re: If arbitrage is so significant then why is BTCe always lower? on: March 02, 2015, 07:02:49 PM
Depositing EUR to BTC-e used to be a pain in the ass over a year ago (not sure if its any quicker nowadays), certainly couldn't rely on it for arbitrage. Found it a lot easier arbing alts between a few different exchanges, then converting them to btc Smiley

775  Other / Meta / Re: Whats up with the people loaning bitcoin to increase their trust? on: February 28, 2015, 01:27:53 PM
It's like on Ebay when people sell hundreds of really cheap items to boost their feedback score (especially now with all the new account restrictions).
776  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Pakistan requiring all cellphone users to submit fingerprints or give up service on: February 28, 2015, 01:11:42 PM
Coming to a neighborhood near you....

Won't this just create a black market for sim cards / fingerprints?  I doubt any self-respecting terrorist wouldn't be communicating by phone.

Women generally seem to avoid groundbreaking technology until it becomes mainstream. They were like that with the Internet, they're like that with BTC and they're like that with anything related to immortality (i.e. cryonics, mind uploading, telomere extension, nanotech, etc.). They become bored with such topics when the technology doesn't exist yet and also discourage financial investment in those things by their husbands. They also seem uninterested in anything that's beyond the rock we're sitting on. And that's okay, because people should be themselves.

Soon as you can buy shoes and dresses with bitcoin I'm sure a lot more women will embrace crypto-currencies.

Jupiter Ascending - Complete and utter shite.

Thought it was going to get better halfway through but never did, even Mila didn't look that hot....
780  Economy / Auctions / Re: Full Member Account - Black Positive Trust - Cheap on: February 27, 2015, 02:59:11 PM
I thought the reason for selling accounts (the given reason anyway) was to join sig campaigns and earn a little every week, making the purchase worthwhile.
As far as I know, sig campaigns don't offer more for people with positive trust, so why do people pay more for positive trust accounts? It sounds a lot like they want to buy it and immediately scam people using their positive trust...

I can't beleive people pay 0.25 for a full member account, how much does a hero account go for?!

I've seen senior accounts sell for ~0.4 btc in the past (when the price of bitcoin was much higher) but there seems to be an influx of people seling their accounts now so the prices have gone down a bit.
