761  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] BC.Game - Crypto Casino | Sig Campaign | Up to 0.0036 BTC/W on: October 15, 2023, 09:43:48 PM
The moment I saw it was a scam, it was avoided. That's the sane rule with every campaign. I will never apply or be a part of a campaign if I have existing suspicions of scam behavior. Before I have these suspicions, you can't blame me for that. That would be blaming me for not knowing the future.
As much as I feel this isn’t the best place or right place to have this discussion, I’ll like to make a few things clear.

I would like to start that, I did see some of your complaints at the time although, didn’t take much to it.

Then again, I’ll like to say;

Until something is proven beyond all reasonable doubt, you shouldn’t expect a compliance at all level. We’ve all be on this forum for sometime and have seen where new projects at times are being exploited and victimized by cheaters. This in fact makes truth what you make it on the forum.
Even existing and trusted projects still gets complaints on their services and still, it’s allowed due course.
Using 1xbit as pointers, once it gets that loud, your sure to see reactions at all levels.

Across projects, complaints and its resolution are subjective as, companies do take their course to tackle issues which could result in delays. Still, I wouldn’t want to bank on that for a justification of denied resolution an a pressing issue but then,
If the case is as loud as we have it on 1k bet on the forum, with more and more veteran users of the forum taking to the case, you would find users distancing themselves from the project.

Icopress remains one of the trusted on the forum and you can as well expect him to make some good judgment and good calls amongst others.
With complaints, testimonials and projects running side by side, it’s easy to assume all is well. It would take more than a handful of complaints to void the counter testimonials on just practices.

I stand to be corrected if I’m wrong but, I like to have a project yo due course and an unequal take by forum users to result any drastic actions. Let’s not be in a haste to make mistakes and in the event that we are, it would be a sad one as well which wouldn’t be any regrettable.

I note the word suspicion on your piece and you can’t expect much when it’s still a suspicion. I do hope we have more on this from other veteran users to speak truth with facts and foster reason with reactions.
762  Economy / Economics / Re: Global markets brace for fallout as Middle East tensions rise on: October 15, 2023, 08:34:59 PM
With my economic brain, the impact of the Israel-Hama escalation would not affect the world like that of the Russia-Ukraine war if it didn't expand to other countries in the region. The two main commodities from the Middle East that the world needs are Gold and Crude oil which is why their prices are moving Northwards till the market closes on Friday.
That’s what is hoped and that’s what US hopes to prevent by sending clear messages of there undiluted support for as an Ally of Israel and hopes Gaza is been left to themselves through this crisis and that no other nation sees it for an opportunity to exploit the situation into a money making market.
Rough maps are been drawn to create possible relativism between some of the great nations of our world and I’m referring to US and Russia to have some connections exclusively on either side of the crisis. I don’t hope to see any reasons to it but, it’s unlikely the Israel and Gaza war would take long or have any great impact on the world economy.
I feel Gaza would be the most affected in this as you can see how they’ve been under fire since the start of this war and Israel aren’t giving much soft landing.
763  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If only property I have is bitcoin on: October 15, 2023, 08:26:51 PM
The mystery is behind the both when it occurs. Right now I'm thinking to myself of my investment and if only investment i have is bitcoin, and when I'm no more who will manage my bitcoin investment and how will my family know about my bitcoin investment, when  I was ill, I was asking myself series of questions in my mind.

> should I show my family my seed phrase ?
> If I die who will take over my bitcoin since nobody knows my seed phrase?
Well, the forum is no stranger to this sort of thread no more.
I’ve had to see several threads talking about what would happen to their Bitcoin after they die?
What’s the best means to ensure your accumulated Bitcoin don’t get lost like the rest of them wallets whose seed phrase are no where to be found and as such, it’s lost to the world.
What’s the best means to pass on Bitcoin as an inheritance?

These are common threads you can easily find around to suit into your thread’s context but, you’ve created yours uniquely and I’ll say this to you,
Your seed phrase is your first line of security and as such, you ought to safeguard it above all.
Not your key, not your coins. Letting anyone have your keys simply means, them coins are both exclusively and jointly owned.
Lastly,

It’s up to you to decide how you would ensure your Bitcoin don’t get waste away.
764  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin is different from other means of investment on: October 15, 2023, 08:20:20 PM
I know several threads have been made in this regards with most of them moribund. I created this post because I feel so bad regarding what happened in my country. As you can see in this post and the video in it, the state government demolished an entire estate with several buildings and properties inside. This is peoples investment that just got destroyed. This was a property approved by previous administration but demolished by new government...another risk many people do not put into consideration in real estate and some other physical investments.  This is a confirmation that Bitcoin is safer and better than many conventional investment portfolios.
That’s largely true! Living in a state where it was a common practice for the governor, looking out for land to grab in the name of the state government and later converts it to an investment of his own desire and ownership, you begin to wonder if you ever made the right choice in buying properties for an investment choice ot should have sort a more different line.
In most cases, they get compensation and at other times, nothing at all. Though, I discovered there is an advantage to some. In compensated cases, you get a chance to erect a more modern building but, the disadvantage is always large as, you lose a good site and don’t get full value for your wise choice over the years.

Unfortunately, as much as I would want yo side Bitcoin, I would t be so Pro-Bitcoin by placing it ahead of Real Estate, both are good choices I would say.

When it comes as an honest mistake, that I would understand and comprehend reasons as to why but, when e con be deliberate something or you just trying to out smart the system by direct copy/paste with hope say, them no go see am or you use word spinner or you use AI Dey generate post which I agree with Cryptomultiplier say na the worst of it all, I just see a person way no wan give himself a trier at getting things done right for life and that’s so uncool.

I no like to dey see Nigerians Dey come up for matter way no go honor them for the forum so, make we try Dey look watin we Dey do and add small pride to our name. We Dey do well no be lie and we fit still Dey do better. No need to try rush the process, when e no Dey the body, rest! When the energy boost, you kwa you go feel an for your core.
766  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: We should control our tongue at all time. on: October 15, 2023, 07:53:53 PM
She said '' You people are just wasting our time, if it were the bad boys terrorizing the region you people won't stop them''. The Sars man got angry and asked the girl to come down from the vehicle, the girl came down and she was taken into their custody for further questioning about her comment. The officer asked the driver to carry the rest of the passenger and continue with the journey. Some passengers pleaded with the officer to let the girl go but they refused, they said the girl must show them evidence where she saw them not stopping bad boys. They accused the girl of working with bad boys. The girl was detained while we continued with our journey.
Indeed her words was misguided and I must say, there are always these persons, once that others need to learn from and in this instance, it was her. She should have been aware enough on how the scenario would turn. Not like these things don’t happen but, in as much as you expect the Police or any arm of the armed forces to take you in without due reason and evidence, you should as well be very aware not to accuse them without an evidence as that, was an accusation.

I have had the opportunity to see passengers been caught with unlicensed fire arm in a regular stop and search, I’ve also seen some smugglers been caught migrating themselves into the control from these stop and search. Not to mention the risk they take in those check points. There are good cops and bad cops. We should as well acknowledge that and not ridicule those doing the actual job.

The rogue officers will always be after there #100 and that’s all. You can as well be patient with them and let them do their job. If you want to take a case with them, have your papers in tact and let’s see how they would force you to pay them a penny. That can’t happen, it’s only when your in the wrong or your about them not doing there jobs of stop and search.

I know these guys deliberately delay your time in these search due to lack of compliance but, bare with them and help them change.

768  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cockfighting? on: October 14, 2023, 11:04:06 PM
These cockfighting superstitions are  fallacy.  There are no proven statistics that prove that these superstitions really work.  Even my relative who used to raise fighting fowl has his own superstition but in the end stopped because most of his fowl lost.
I really don’t understand how these superstitions goes,
What is it about them? Like is it what you tell yourself or some phrase you get to repeat over and over before taking a bet or engaging your animals in such activity to make money off them and eventually turn them to food?

I see a lot of animal cruelty in that and don’t or wouldn’t want to encourage any form of cockfighting. Come on?
Everything could be simulated in this day? Why do we have to put these animals through these.

I’m not a veggie or anything but, I was thought not to play with good, let alone to gamble on them. Just eat the damned thing and get your gambling on a sportbookie or casino.
769  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is Bitcoin really risky as they say? on: October 14, 2023, 10:56:49 PM
Generally, most people sees Bitcoin as being of high risk , meanwhile, others tend to disagree with the fact of being risky.

Bitcoin can be understood from different angles on how it will become beneficial to one. Either as a store of value(So as to avoid taxes), Investment or means of payment.
Avoid taxe you say? I doubt that is a major consideration for bitcoin investors. Don’t forget that even not having to declare your worth, both in Bitcoin and the asset you hold to your name is considered taxe evasion and that is punishable by law.
I find much people lashing into Bitcoin because of it’s decentralized nature, as a new means of finance and see it for an evolution for the future of finance so, why shouldn’t you! Despite the energy government keeps pulling on citizens of the world, it continues to gain popularity and that to day, there is more to it than being any risky investment.

Those who still get scared have got some inexperienced down times with the currency, are ignorant of it or way too traditional to change. There is a lot that one could benefit from Bitcoin and it’s never an avenue to evade taxes.
770  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Before and after bull run. on: October 14, 2023, 10:47:27 PM
Keep in touch with your family and friends before and after bull run, the happiness of profit can also drive one crazy which can make one do something unreasonable such as getting drunk, driving recklessly and many more.  To those who will see this thread, please keep this words in mind.
I get it when you say keep in touch with our families but, do the bear market or bullrun really creates conditions that could lead to lose of life?
Maybe if your invested in altcoins or some scam projects, I’ll agree as most of goose projects are always schemes of scammers and self proclaimed professionals which could easily go to shit, Altcoins as well, they could dump and never get a second chance at anything grate but, with Bitcoin it’s a whole different story.

Bitcoin has got some assurances on it and even with the biggest disappointment in a bear market, its significance is only as you make it in not having to sell. Bitcoin is sure to pump in value with time and as such, having your hodlings doesn’t stagnate its values but ensures you experience what ever happens with price fluctuation.
771  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: You data is not safe on centralized exchanges on: October 14, 2023, 04:59:56 PM
How do hackers know who to send messages to?

Is the message randomly sent to people? I think the hackers target Hong Kong Binance users and that can only be from data breach or insider work.
I have always had a hard time believing that in any hack that happens to any exchange or project out there, there isn’t an insider work. I have great doubt in thinking otherwise. There is always going to be the hand of an insider so long as I’m concerned. This makes relieving staff or cutting down staff of there job in a critical position, as by some means to stabilize operation a dangerous thing. These guys knows the loopholes in the system and can explore it.
Also, not having to give your staff proper welfare, it’s some means to tempt them.

Quote
If it is someone like me, this is easily avoidable, but what if it gets to the hacker's selling peoples data to thieves and which can lead to physical robbery and attack.
It’s definitely one purpose by which, these bridged data’s can be used and one can not be too careful enough as some services are very much needed.
772  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie Don't be afraid of buying Bitcoin on: October 13, 2023, 08:40:59 PM

If you are afraid that Bitcoin would go to 10k,ask yourself why they hold billions in Bitcoin.
Don't you think that they had more insight than you will ever have?
Why do you think Nasdaq crashed 1.8% 2days ago  and Bitcoin holding 27k line? Buyers still buy no matter what, that shows confidence in Bitcoin, and remember retail got no money right now.
Inflation is too high, retail salary vanished day it arrives, it not retail that buy Bitcoin now,
you wouldn't like to hear this, but the one buying assets now are the wealthy, they will likely continue the trend of the rich getting richer
Well from the much we’ve observed, Bitcoin seems to define a dip at every bear market and somehow, the dip is maintained through the next bear market and by that I mean; come the bullrun and yet another bear market, the dip isn’t broken.
Now, the dip is around $17k and I don’t see that being broken even in the next bear market but, still, this isn’t a yardstick for measurement neither is anyone billionaire having there billions in Bitcoin a yardstick or reason why you should too.

That was how a lot of users trooped in and quickly trooped out because of Musk.

I expect users to find their own genuine reason for believing and making Bitcoin investments. It’s solely your decision but, I can say Bitcoin is the safest coin out there.
773  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are Bitcoin ETFs taming Bitcoin? on: October 13, 2023, 08:30:51 PM
The impact will still be there whether it is negative or positive, but a positive impact is much more to be expected. Apart from being able to increase prices, massive adoption will occur when a bitcoin ETF is approved. People are increasingly able to see bitcoin and its innovation, so I think a bitcoin ETF could be something valuable.
There is always going to be this and that possibilities but, do we really think these companies could ever come together and sensor Bitcoin? Could they ever agree on one thing and act on it?
I highly doubt that. There are always young to be different goals for each company and these companies would always act in their interest at a particular time. I don’t expect or hope to find a forum that would bring these companies together.

Also, there isn’t a guarantee or any chance that would mean, you using Bitcoin ETF companies would mean your coins have got to stay there. There are chances for withdrawals and the majority of hodlers out there and traders will always be more than a combined company would have, I think.

The more exposure that could come out of ETF programs, the more people would seek to be more private and decentralized on there transactions which would result in not having to stay on ETF centralized companies.
774  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you ever feel tired of waiting? on: October 13, 2023, 07:55:51 PM
To be honest, I've had this question for quite a while. I keep seeing people claiming to just hold and hold; it'll take one, two, three, or whatever years for the next bull market. However, I'm often wondering: do you ever feel tired of waiting for Bitcoin to thrive? The past few months, or the whole past year—I'm not sure I've lost track of time—have been quite stale. Bitcoin has been ranging between $25.000 and $28.000 for quite a while. The volatility compared to other periods is lower than we're used to, or at least, to what I was used to in the past.
Saying I don’t get tired of waiting on some lofty progress on the coin would be me lying to myself. Of course I would like to see some unexplainable value for my hodlings but, what can I say, I have to do the time for that value to be worth every second spent in waiting for a desired value.

The next question is, what desired value might that be? Where would one peg the value of Bitcoin to say “yes” it’s yield just enough value as it ought to have.
With this ranging in the uncertainty, one can’t really get satisfaction at any price. Bitcoin isn’t an investment for a time but rather, an investment that would last a life time and that means, you don’t need to attach a time to it as you can’t attach a time to living.

You just treat it like an investment, use it conservatively and be sure you’re not withholding yourself from other aspects to enjoying your ROI due to hodling.
775  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Israel -- Hamas War on: October 13, 2023, 03:08:19 PM
If you check this war well, Israel is an ally of USA so one way or the other USA must give aid and if that's is so then there will be massive drop in USA dollar rate at the financial markets due to investors pulling out their investments.
Yeah, that’s one thing I know for sure. Israel and USA are very strong Allie’s and it’s no hidden secrete that in times like this, you can expect the full support of the US government for the people of Israel in terms of military fire power, ammunitions, trainings and support through these trying times for there people. USA continues to come public on there support for Israel and warns other nations to stay clear of any form of support or aid to Hamas (Gaza) while, seeking possible peaceful relations for the releases of kidnapped civilians being held in an underground tunnel by Hamas and continues to show military strength in Gaza.

In these economic downtimes, it’s hard to imagine all these wars coming up to further push dilapidate the situation.
776  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Battle of why we dey earn but no progress on: October 13, 2023, 02:42:12 PM
With the facts of observations and my research, once u start dey hustle as an oyibo, u hustle on ur own and u owe no one responsibilities of bills bcuz every 1 dey ok &  contented with themselves without living to hope say anyone go take charge of their bills for them where family and relatives takes their financial responsibilities upon themselves.
I am sure this situation alone go allow person plan himself as him want.

Com to Africa, our 9ja in question, we dey papa house marry, bear kids and grand Pa takes all responsibilities.
How him want take establish or make increments in his income?

Pikin or person go dey in position of earning attractive amount of money, na so u go see responsibilities spreaded from the East, West, North and the South for u.
No just space for savings in order to establish and reach to a dream.
By this, I find out say responsibilities dey play a major role in our societies when we considers about forward ness.
Believe me, this na the legit. Everything way you cap here dey within the context of watin dey worry us and very valid at that.
Despite the fact say, we no get a very good or leveled foundation for success in we country, the load of responsibility way dey on top man Pikin head too plenty. In fact I believe say the poor get rest of mind via say, people dey just believe say them no get and cucuma leave them alone to face there wahala way no dey pass watin them go eat to pass the day.
Once e con be say you dey make small money way never even set you up, na there you go see responsibilities coming left, right front, back and center. No be just one man needs you dey carter for but, a generational need. That kind thing, e cast wella.

To escape this, one needs to make hard choices because. When you fail if you fail, them no go still recall the helping hand way you give them. Na the one way you no give and the one way you give other people aside from themselves go dey there head. Human being na just something else!
E Dey very important say make you grow yourself and help only with what you can leverage. No go dey over do yourself because, responsibilities no dey finish for the life.

Even now I’m smiling because, it’s been a thrilling management and having to pass this piece of information to let participants have to decide on what way to go shows quality in your management. I can’t say I had issues promoting the brand and I just might hold unto it through the week and maybe till we get the news we hope for and it’s always pleasurable working with you @Icopress, peace Ukrainian!
778  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cross addictions is Just as Bad. on: October 12, 2023, 10:20:38 PM
So a friend told me that a mutual friend tried to replace his gambling addiction with another another one because he has tried all everything else. The new addiction is PS4. He pays for extra on the game and he is getting more and more into it. According to my friend, this mutual friend feels that paying $20 per month its subscription is better than $100- $500 on slots where he ends up losing.
Looking at this from a more positive angle, I think this is been done wrongly or applied wrongly. In course of cross addiction, you don’t get to replace a bad habit with yet another one. Worst still, your having to pay to gamble in the form of stakes on bets (spending money) and then your replacing it with yet another habit of having to pay to play video games (spending money). Now note that both activities have to do with you having to liquidate your hard earned money. Though, arguably, one might be more expensive than the other but, you’re spending money none the less in a situation where you want to save money.

Instead of having to be invoked in activities that results in you having to spend money, you could as well cross addict with a more productive behavior. Engage in activities that help you earn and make meaning out of your time and addiction towards that activity.
779  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake phishing on: October 12, 2023, 10:12:42 PM
This is suspicious...another player also got an email while he was playing - see this thread about how a player got phished out of 150k from his account
I don’t know what’s really suspicious about it, some user is being targeted for phishing and that’s it. Now the point of wonder is who is at the end of all these phishing mails, whose the jacket here; is it stakes or some rogue officials within its ranks of any (which I don’t want to believe as stakes have proven to be fair and bigger than petty theft) or it’s the work of some out of the box hackers.

The fact that not just one user is receiving this mails doesn’t narrow things down to stakes but, can go down to vindicate them none the less.
Hackers typically use methods of bulk sms which is mails in this case to reach out to a good number of users. Looking for potential victims in numbers. The chances of success is in the numbers as, you can likely have a not well informed or secured user amongst them.

Best course go solution has always been, not having to respond.
780  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Practices for Staying Safe When Gambling on: October 12, 2023, 09:56:18 PM
Even if it's going to take some extra but necessary steps to make our gambling experience worth a deserving one, then we shouldn't hesitate giving it what it demands, I've learnt that some people cannot just do something and be successful in them without the help or assistance of other people, such is life and we are to appear being our brothers keepers in times of need, gambling responsibly is not what one fan just say by mouth, we need to act upon it and see the results or outcome evident.

I am meant to understand that no man is an Ireland  and there is a saying that says " the right hand washes the left and the left does same too so both can be clean. "No tree can make up a forest."  Likewise every man  would definitely meet someone who would assist them in life in one way or the other. Standing alone is not advisable as one can never assist himself in n anything but rather would need help and support to climbing up the ladder. So I am not doubting your point here.
Well, that’s a saying for sure but, I would like to think of it differently or apply it differently. Of course we both need each other in life as, the world would make such a boring place to live if you live in it alone and nothing would make sense or be worth having where you have no competition over it. That’s just to stress on the fact that, we need people and we do better when we assists ourselves but, assistance isn’t always about giving aids (both as freebies in gifts and advice) but, we can aid ourselves through others by using them for a yard stick in measuring how in depth we’ve gone into a behavior and what means we could use to assist ourselves.

This you can or might not be awaken to but, you are based on a party you’ve identified around you. You might also be advised or maybe go through a therapy but, the active phase to this is you having the determination to act on it. Until your ready to act, it would be difficult to improve your behavior even in situations where your getting all the aid you need.
