Hi all!  I have the new RX 480 cards.  Will this miner work with those?

Wow so what happened to this token? Pretty epic dump.
763  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: July 08, 2016, 04:18:34 PM
Again, Lisk literally does whatever Ethereum does. That's concerning because the imminent hard fork of Ethereum is going to make or break Ethereum. Looks like it'll make or break Lisk as well. A better job needs to be done to market how Lisk is different from Ethereum.
Got proof for that?

Well, I've lost track of how many times I've watched ETH go up on Polo, then Lisk follows, or ETH goes down, and Lisk follows. Could the argument be made that other coins behave this way too with ETH? Sure. But I don't know how many coins pros/cons, when launched, were compared so aggressively to ETH. There needs be a better job of differentiating the differences between Lisk and ETH, and marketing that. That's all I'm saying. I'm a Lisk ICO holder. Haven't sold any coins yet. I'm just saying that it'd be nice to think that if ETH crashes and burns that Lisk might have a shot at taking its place. Right now Lisk might go down with it.

So I'm interested in investing. I hear RADS is a great staking coin. Anyone know ballpark how many RADS I'd get each week if I staked 2,650 coins?

I have to say thanks to Max and the Lisk team because they are doing such of great Job, most of the icos fail, but Lisk still 4 times ico price, I have no doubt that Lisk will have his time to shine, Lisk will have his momentum, now is just the promise but its ok time will pas and Lisk will reach the sky!

You know how much LISK was in the sale right? 18K so times that by 4 and you get? What is the price now? Saying that the numbers really don't mean as much as people here are trying to make out. I mean don't hold if you need the btc just sell and move on.

+ 212 sat https://blog.lisk.io/lisk-ico-statistics-ac36fbb94fe3#.iish2rfa0

We bought Lisk in ICO at around 18k sats @ ~400 USD/BTC which is should be around 12k sats at current price so those who sell today are still in big profit at least those who got them during ICO.

That would be me. Still haven't sold my ICO coins though. We'll see what happens in a year's time.

I'm interested in jumping back in at 31k.

I've been trading DAO nicely... today another 300€ profit.

I'd like to know how the hell the DAO is doing better than Lisk at the moment. The DAO's dead for Christ sake!!!
768  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: June 19, 2016, 04:12:46 AM
the dao steal my lambo Angry
Oh can't make the payments any longer, OUCH   Tongue

Nice that Lisk now ISN'T doing what ETH's doing. What the hell? When ETH is crashing no one wants Lisk. When ETH is recovering no one wants Lisk. Great.
769  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: June 19, 2016, 01:18:55 AM

From the article... this: "Hoskinson identifies an early fault in the marketing of Lisk. He points out that Lisk in its early stages was presented like a version of Ethereum, saying that it shouldn’t be so."  Exactly what I said earlier.  Max and gang need to market that Lisk isn't Ethereum, a fork of Ethereum, or anything such.  I think maybe that was helpful to do over the past couple of months to gain popularity for Lisk, but maybe not so much anymore now with the issues with the DAO and a possible soft and hard ETH fork on the horizon.
770  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: June 18, 2016, 06:58:47 PM
Lisk literally does whatever ETH does.

Yes, ETH up, LISK up, ETH down, LISK down

Well, that just tells me that Max and his marketing team aren't doing a good enough job educating people as to how ETH and Lisk are different. People probably think Lisk is a fork of ETH, and that's just sad. We better hope to hell that ETH doesn't go to zero because as I see it now, so will Lisk.

I thought this is the thread for Lisk

Yes! Smiley

Dear god people seriously chill out lol I hold Lisk ICO coins so I'm on your side. Just thought it was interesting and wanted to share. ETH is definitely in a bind. Could be good for Lisk.

Interesting:

===== BEGIN SIGNED MESSAGE =====
To the DAO and the Ethereum community,

I have carefully examined the code of The DAO and decided to participate after finding the feature where splitting is rewarded with additional ether. I have made use of this feature and have rightfully claimed 3,641,694 ether, and would like to thank the DAO for this reward. It is my understanding that the DAO code contains this feature to promote decentralization and encourage the creation of "child DAOs".

I am disappointed by those who are characterizing the use of this intentional feature as "theft". I am making use of this explicitly coded feature as per the smart contract terms and my law firm has advised me that my action is fully compliant with United States criminal and tort law. For reference please review the terms of the DAO:

"The terms of The DAO Creation are set forth in the smart contract code existing on the Ethereum blockchain at 0xbb9bc244d798123fde783fcc1c72d3bb8c189413. Nothing in this explanation of terms or in any other document or communication may modify or add any additional obligations or guarantees beyond those set forth in The DAO’s code. Any and all explanatory terms or descriptions are merely offered for educational purposes and do not supercede or modify the express terms of The DAO’s code set forth on the blockchain; to the extent you believe there to be any conflict or discrepancy between the descriptions offered here and the functionality of The DAO’s code at 0xbb9bc244d798123fde783fcc1c72d3bb8c189413, The DAO’s code controls and sets forth all terms of The DAO Creation."

A soft or hard fork would amount to seizure of my legitimate and rightful ether, claimed legally through the terms of a smart contract. Such fork would permanently and irrevocably ruin all confidence in not only Ethereum but also the in the field of smart contracts and blockchain technology. Many large Ethereum holders will dump their ether, and developers, researchers, and companies will leave Ethereum. Make no mistake: any fork, soft or hard, will further damage Ethereum and destroy its reputation and appeal.

I reserve all rights to take any and all legal action against any accomplices of illegitimate theft, freezing, or seizure of my legitimate ether, and am actively working with my law firm. Those accomplices will be receiving Cease and Desist notices in the mail shortly.

I hope this event becomes an valuable learning experience for the Ethereum community and wish you all the best of luck.

Yours truly,
"The Attacker"

Actually I'm honestly shocked at how well Lisk is holding up to the Bitcoin price increase. And second in volume on Poloniex behind ETH. Pretty impressive.

Will the ICO tokens only be able to be bought using VRC or will you guys be accepting BCT as well for the ICO tokens?

We will only be accepting VRC, we are working on setting start date and ICO distribution schedule.  More details coming soon.

Sounds good thank you!

A little selling at the top. Seriously, what idiot would dump prior to an announcement next week?
