when launch the coins?
Shooting for end of week either Thursday or Friday. We will make a firm decision mid-week. Looking at getting some pools onboard first. Most of all we would like to have a merged-mined pool ready to go since this is a auxPOW coin. Will create a new thread shortly for Umbrella-LTC. Then plan on gearing up for Umbrella-BTC shortly after that, as it was the next coin to launch based off of feedback and votes! |

why are there no pools ready to go for umbrella - BTC?
Hey Everyone, Pools will be announced for Umbrella-BTC after Umbrella-LTC has launched. Since it looks like that is the crypto people want next that's what we will work on. As I mentioned earlier, we are going to launch end of this week for Umbrella-LTC (Thursday-Friday). Some people complained about times, what is the general consensus for a good time to Launch? Also, anyone who was compensated for rig rentals, we will resend compensation with new wallet. As far as Umbrella-Doge, we do not want to crowd the space. We have selected one leader per algorithm and feel this is sufficient to reach mass market. Thank you, |

Mined a new genesis block. New blockchain has been created. Got new wallets and source code ready to go. Going to wait a couple days and try and get some pools, merged-mined pools and work on the merged-mining paper before launch.
Looking at launching end of next week.

Hey everyone,
Been pretty busy today, lots of interest and support coming through all communication channels. We are humbled by the support we have received. Even more surprised at what seems like a very strong and involved community. This is very exciting as we are only about a week old on Bitcointalk. While the dust settles, we are planning the next launch very carefully. We plan on working with several pools over the next week to guarantee a successful launch. We are also talking with one of the very popular merged-mined pools for also being ready at launch. We will be supplying them our source-code and merged-mining proxy so they can test before going live. We will also have a document to explain how merged-mining will work with these coins ready at launch.
We have also taken feedback provided by the community. Some of the concerns will be addressed shortly. We plan on keeping a general thread for Umbrella Products and creating separate threads for each currency as it is released. This brings us into the next area, multiple currencies. We will spread them out further to better digest and support each one. We are still fine-tuning the details like how far apart and order of release. We see a strong demand for Umbrella-DRK, so this may come before Umbrella-VTC.
We like that the community is involved so we will most likely start leaving these types of decisions up to a vote. Look for new voting topics soon.
I Wanted to reiterate that 2 exchanges have shown a great interest in Umbrella. We don't think they will be ready and online by launch, but we have a good feeling they will come online shortly after. Again, this was done organically. No buying votes or secret partnerships between groups. We are proud of this accomplishment as it shows that are plans are coming to fruition.

Wait, has the source already been released? I thought people wanted the source so there could be pools, does your pool have it set up already or you just gathering people until the source is released? That is a pre-release for UBTC. So the solo miners are the only winners with this coin.....
I would not be surprised if the developers are the largest solo miners.
no that's not so  Explain? no the dev is not a large solo miner  Um OK cool cool. I'm new so I can't vote and Dev isn't replying to my pm so I guess I'm fucked out of btc due to yet another sketchy coin launch.
Anyone who had already mined some ULTC, screenshot your wallet and we will verify on our end what you have (email us). When the new wallets are released we will shoot you the amount you had so you are not reset back to zero.
Again, apologies for this borked launch. We know we will loose some miners but we hope we can make things right. We are here for the long haul, please bear with us. We happened to work remote today (offsite) and there was some miscommunications about the source code. In fear of asking for another delay, I proceeded to launch anyway. I take full responsibility for this mishap.

scrypt and gpu not good idea
Yea, I have one rig @ 1.4MH and nothing has been found. Difficulty is way up. How would everyone feel about a proper relaunch? Going to put up a new poll. Either way people are going to be angry so I will leave it up to a vote. I would have never imagined a coin launch to be so difficult but we are a dedicated bunch and will press on. Looking forward to your responses. Again, sorry for wasting everyone's time. People who have been reimbursed will get new funds as well as bounties. And yes, that is my real name. As I mentioned, we ran into some hiccups. This launch should have been pushed back to get everything in order. We tried to do a FDC which delayed a few things while we were in talks. Seems too late in the game to relaunch. We will guarantee that UBTC and UDRK will launch as smoothly as possible. As mentioned earlier and on IRC, if you rented rigs shoot us your ULTC address, we will try and make things right.
Source is coming. We have put too much work into this to try and skim or scam at launch time. That is not us, please be patient and we will deliver.

for the life of me why would u not have source at launch.i miss another launch or have to start at block 300 or 400 cause some us can only mine with reantals.this sort of launch is just ridiculous.i was excited about these coins u are releasing now i couldnt really even care.
+1 this is ridiculous, and obviously thought of beforehand, and he still has too launch more coins for his project...yikes..
