Yes,having something to say about Haaland,I think this season is going to be different,he will still win the golden boot, but I don't think he will get the number of goals he got last season. This is premier league and we know how aggressive defenders are there, the moment they see that you have been superb in your goals scoring form, they will place all their attention on you and make sure they put you on goal drought. It is true that Mancity will be demoralized by the result they got in the community Shield, and it will be a boost of moral for Arsenal that won them going into the premier league this season. The game against Burnley is going to be a win win for city, but Burnley will still give them headache and that game might end 1:2 in favour of city. While Arsenal will comfortably win theirs on Saturday against Northingham Forest.

He may not have the same number of goals he got last season. I think a lot of clubs are aware of his methods and would now aggressively seek to block him at every turn. But he would still be able to score goals due to the combined efforts of the team.
I don’t think Manchester City would be demoralized cause they had lost out on winning the community shield. After all, they had played well and only lost out due to penalties. But it would surely be a morale boost for Arsenal going into the new season. Having bagged the FA Cup, it would motivate them to go even stronger for the EPL title this season.

Since city gonna be the next opponent for burnley and it makes people speculated if burnley gonna lose against city. City will get easy points from burnley. Vincent kompany may need to drop its first points in EPL due to the lose against city soon.
City is over power right now. It makes sense to say burnley has no chance in beating manchester city.

While I think Manchester City would easily win the opening game of the new season in the EPL against Burnley, I wouldn’t say Burnley has no chance of beating Manchester City. In football, the win could go the way of the underdogs irrespective of how strong their opponents might be.
Burnley might just go ahead and win the game. I’m at this point rooting for the underdogs to win but still being realistic about it. It wouldn’t be an easy task to win their first game against the current champions of the EPL. Burnley should expect some tougher competition in the EPL and their first game doesn’t come any tougher.

763  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: August 10, 2023, 07:14:23 AM
.
Even though Burnley will be playing at home, Manchester City will not find it tough to defeat them again. Even if they had to play with all of their might, Manchester City wouldn't give up until they had won. Regardless of the work put out by the smaller team(Burnley), a team(Manchester City) that is superior than another team will continue to be superior.

Playing at home isn’t a total guarantee of winning the game. Although some may argue that playing at home has some sort of advantage for the home team. It surely wouldn’t have much effect on the opening game in the new season of the EPL.
Manchester City, being the current title league holder, is by far the superior side and is predicted to have a smooth start to the season by winning Burnley, who was just promoted to the Premier League.
Burnley may surprise us all and win or hold City to a draw cause they’re back in the Premier league and would want to prove a point.

I know Australia are a good team but I don't they can actually the match the strength of this french women, I mean check out their style of play alone let's you how dangerous they can be and not to talk of their goal scoring capabilities and I know Australia are partially the host nation but even that isn't going to do them any good.

Australia playing at home in the quarter finals against France isn’t really going to help them bag the win. France is the better team of the two and would go ahead to bag the victory. I too don’t see them matching the strength and capabilities of the French as France plays better football than Australia and is predicted to win.
I’m not trying to underestimate Australia cause we’ve seen countless times in football where the underdogs would go ahead to win against a superior opponent. In this case, France is in my opinion, the stronger team and it would take more than playing at home for Australia to win the game.
765  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: August 09, 2023, 08:43:02 PM

Burnley would be hard to beat, that's because they'll want to impress after returning back from Championship. Manchester City depends on the entire squad for goals but last season more goals came from the talented viking.
Manchester City will win the game but then, But then, I'd love to see Vincent Kompany winning at home. With how impotent Erling Haaland was last Sunday, I double doubt he'll be on the score sheet against Burnley, it's a tough prediction, but I'm hoping to see it happening.

Sure, they would want to make a statement and what better statement is there to make by beating the current title holders of the EPL. No doubt, a lot of Manchester City goals last season came from Haaland. He’s the striker and put there to score goals. All those goals scored last season won’t be possible without the amazing teamwork of the entire team.
I still doubt Burnley would be hard to beat. They would surely play at their best but it might not be enough to keep City from going ahead to win the game.
766  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Who you betting on? on: August 09, 2023, 07:39:01 PM
I still feel like Elon Musk was and is just bragging about it but things get little bit too big. I think Elon Musk is probably gonna use that surgery thing as excuse, nothing other. I would definitely love to watch billionaires fight each other - not denying this - but it still feels too awkward and weird and probably not gonna happen. Youtubers did these fights many times for likes, subs, money and also gambling sponsors but billionaires don't exactly need those in their lives. I hope Elon Musk is not misleading us all.

I didn’t see this fight being a reality then and I still don’t see it happening now. It definitely would be really good to watch billionaires trade blows and knock each others teeth out. But as much as I along with a lot of people would love to see this fight become a reality, I doubt that it would. In my opinion, both men have absolutely nothing to gain by fighting in a cage match. They don’t actually need the money nor publicity that would be gotten from the fight. They’re both wealthy and famous already and don’t stand to gain anything from the fight.
Concerning this fight, I think Elon isn’t being serious and perhaps is having a few laughs at our expense.

Man City are traveling to visit the newly promoted side Burnley, is going to be the opener of the EPL. Burnley did very good last season before coming to the EPL and I believe they'd do better this time around in the  EPL but on the other hand Manchester City are the champions and they have their midfield intact but that scoring machine Haaland is not that sharp as of last season, so I don't even see City doing too well like last season in terms of scoring much goals.
So to me I feel City are going to struggle if they see Haaland as the only striker to give them much goals, concerning this fixture against Burnley I feel is going to be a tough one for City to grab all 3pts.

It would surely be a surprise to me if City would struggle against a club like Burnley. You seem to think Manchester City depends solely on Haaland to score goals. And it’s somewhat laughable that a just promoted team to the EPL Burnley, would give the current title holders, Manchester City a tough time. I think  Manchester City would win the game and claim this 3 points easily.
City doesn’t depend solely on Haaland and the sooner any team realizes that, the greater chance they’ve got to actually stand a chance against them.
Congratulations to Burnley and Kompany on being promoted to the EPL. Now, they’ve got to face stronger competition.

Maybe there is a separate reason why Erik Ten Hag removed Maguire's Captaincy, because if you have watched several Manchester United matches last season when Maguire was installed by Erik Ten Hag at the bottom line, maybe you will also know why Erik Ten Hag removed Maguire's Captaincy. And from rumors circulating that West Ham is interested in Maguire and has also made an offer to Manchester United.

Harry Maguire wasn’t the best fit to lead the team and Ten Hag felt so too. He has been inconsistent in his performances and didn’t really look like someone capable of leading the team. He seemed to me like someone that could get unsure of his actions and that could make blunders on the field. If a player cannot display some sort of confidence in himself, how then could he make other players in the squad feel confident enough to play and win games against the toughest opponents.
It didn’t come as a surprise when he was removed from being the captain of the team and it certainly would not surprise me if he’s actually being let go from the team.

Mixin safe review.

Mixin messenger application.

I had first downloaded and installed the Mixin messenger on my mobile device. The installation process was pretty smooth and it downloaded and installed wig very little time.
Upon launching the app, it prompted me to register with a phone number. That didn’t go down so well with me as I would have greatly preferred an email address to register with.  I filled in my phone number and got the verification code almost immediately to finish my registration.

Registration over, I was greeted by a message from Team Mixin, a support bot. I was then quickly went through the guidelines.

Creating a wallet on Mixin messenger app.

It was pretty easy and straightforward.
Using a 6 digit pin, I created my wallet. I had to confirm the pin about 4 times. I think many might find this exhausting but I thought it was okay and it emphasized how important the pin was.

The wallet supports a wide variety of coins and I choose bitcoin as my preferred coin to test with.
Using the wallet for the very first time, I was advised to test with a small negligible amount for my first deposit. I deposited said small amount in bitcoin and it got credited to my wallet after 3 confirmations. I like the fact that your pending deposit would be shown awaiting the minimum 3 confirmations needed to credit to your wallet.

Adding contacts on the Mixin messenger.

I think it’s pretty obvious your contacts should have and also be registered on the app. You would need either their phone number used during registration or their Mixin ID to add that person to your contacts.
Sending coins to your contacts is really easy. I think the app might see a lot more users as people could converse with each other as well as sending and receiving money.

Mornin key download and installation

The app wasn’t free for download on the App Store as it was sold for approximately a dollar($0.99). I got past that by downloading the APK file of the app and later installed it on my device.

After installation, I launched it and registered. Registration was pretty easy and uncomplicated. It’s basically an app that helps safely secure your multiple accounts and passwords.
During the setup, you would be required to write down and save your seed phrase given to you for backup purposes.

Creating a new safe.

This process involves going onto the website as I had initially thought this would also have either a mobile or desktop app.
Carefully following the process on creating a new safe, I scanned a QR code from my Mornin key app and was granted authorization. I was then signed in. I was asked to add a contact.

On creating a new safe, I clicked on new safe, named my safe and chose a network for my safe.
Going forward, it required an upgrade to my plan for me to complete the creation of the safe. Choosing and paying $2 for a year on the standard plan using crypto, I could then proceed to finish the creation of my safe.

Depositing coins to my Mixin safe didn’t take much time before I was notified and the coins credited.
Being touted as a safe, the process of withdrawing funds from your wallet is pretty secure.
You would need the approval of the owners as well as the member by scanning a code generated from the Mixin messenger app and the Mornin key app.

After the approvals, I was able to successfully withdraw.

Nigeria vs England
The match between Nigeria vs England in the Round of Sixteen was a tightly contested match. The Nigeria vs England Women's match was a goalless draw at full time.  Despite a tough competition between the two teams, England eventually won against Nigeria through penalties.  England confirmed the Super Eight by defeating Nigeria on penalties with a margin of 4-2 goals.

I was a Nigerian supporter in today's match but unfortunately the team I support lost in the tiebreaker. A win against England today would have ensured Nigeria a place in the quarter finals as an African nation but unfortunately they lost on penalties. Congratulations to Nigeria for losing against England but fighting hard and then losing.
Round of 16 matches everyone wants to play well because if they can pass it then the team will go to the quarter finals. And only after the Round of 16 is it known which team has a high probability to play in the finals.  So no one cares about losing in round of 16.  Meanwhile, the Nigeria vs England match was very tight.  Both teams played brilliantly.  However, Nigeria lost on penalties. Nigeria's goalkeeper is most responsible for this.  Because the goalkeeper plays the most important role in penalty shootout
Of course, those who are eliminated from the round of 16 will be eliminated. And today, Nigeria women fought brilliantly against Australia until the last moment. However, both the teams tried hard enough to reach the quarter finals, but they attacked the field very much. However, penalties mostly depend on luck, so it is not guaranteed which team will make the quarter-finals. As Australia women's team performed brilliantly in penalty shootout in today's match due to which they advanced to the quarter finals. But penalties are basically a goalkeeper's sole responsibility and if the goalkeeper performs well then there is a chance of winning. However, in today's match Australia's goalkeeper performed well but Nigeria's goalkeeper did not perform well. Everyone will blame the Nigerian goalkeeper for that, but Australia did well in the penalty shoot-out that saw them through to the quarter-finals.

I’m pretty sure it was England and not Australia who played with Nigeria. The game had ended in a goalless draw and later going into penalties. Australia won theirs against Denmark with a scoreline of 2:0.
Concerning the ENG vs NGA game, It was a good game for both sides as they had played well. Obviously, it was better for England as they went ahead to clinch the victory after the game ended with a draw. Going into penalties, England was lucky and came out the winner.

Why do you think the Nigerian goalie didn’t perform well and would be blamed? She performed really well during the game and made some good saves. Everyone played their best and there shouldn’t be any faulting anyone for anything.
772  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's safe to say - gambling is a guy thing. on: August 06, 2023, 11:59:27 PM
If it is were the old days when women were restricted I would have said that this is really true but things are advancing now and most of the country now women are now taking part in almost all the activities that were once reserve for men only and that also includes gambling habits too.

I still think gambling is male dominated and may remain so for a long time. Yes, we’re moving past the ancient times where women relegated to the background and were not allowed to do certain things. During these times up until now, men has been more involved in gambling and even if we’re starting to see more and more female gamblers enter the scene, it’s nowhere near or compared to the number of men already involved in gambling.
A lot of men has been gambling then and more still do today. It may not be a guy thing anymore to gamble but it’s certainly still male dominated.
773  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you rather start/grow a business from scratch or buy an existing business? on: August 06, 2023, 11:17:41 PM

So, given that the resources are available or not and you are presented with the opportunity to start/grow or buy an existing business just like Elon Musk, which option is more preferential and benefitial to you?

Starting a new business and buying one entails one thing. Putting in a lot of work. Successfully building and managing a business for it to continue to yield profit for you and your shareholders is no easy task. When also buying an existing business no matter how successful the business may have seemed, there is always more work to be done in order to keep it up, running and still successful.

But now, if you’re incompetent or just lazy and you happen to be wealthy, you could easily purchase a business and get the right and best people suitable for managerial and other roles.
774  Economy / Economics / Re: Entrepreneurship and women on: August 06, 2023, 10:51:34 PM
Seeing today's technological developments, of course, it will be very easy for everyone to do their job, and it will make it easier for women who want to work and take care of their own family at home. I think that both men and women have the same role in taking care of the house, but it would be even better if women took care of the house than men.

Yes, due to the advances of modern technology over the years, it has become easier for people to do their jobs. It doesn’t just make things easier for women alone going into entrepreneurship. As well as it could also make things easier for anyone and not just women who wants to work and manage the home.
You’re right, men and women has a role in taking care of the family. In some cases, husbands manage the household a lot better than their wives and don’t mind doing it. For me, whoever wants the job of staying home and can efficiently handle it, gets it.

Manchester united won the pre-season match 3-1 against Lens. In this match, the only thing that was very surprising came from Andre Onana's blunder who was too advanced so that the Lens player took advantage of the opportunity to score a goal from the middle of the field. I think Andre Onana is too confident in his abilities at the moment and he has made mistakes that shouldn't have been made.

The Lens player, Sotoca had a good eye and took advantage of that moment with a really precise kick that beat the new and improved, recently acquired goalie lol.
About him being overconfident, I doubt he was cause I think it’s obvious that even the best players makes bad mistakes every now and then. Look at Mason Mount and the goal he failed to score. Would you say he too was overconfident as well?

It was a good thing they later scored 3 goals and finally won the game. It would have been a shame cause they had played really well.
776  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 05, 2023, 04:14:41 PM
That means if he doens't wanna deal with the risk. What a looser. That's why it doesn't matter how many goals made by him and he will never be able to win even a single prestigious trophy.
Being loyal to a club for you means being a loser? Tells you everything that you have to know about modern football and its fans.

Being loyal to your club doesn’t equal being a loser. Modern football. I pondered for a moment on that phrase. Have things changed that much in football? I read an opinion of someone implying there isn’t any passion left in the game football and seems to think players should just go over to where they’re paid the highest. I disagreed with his opinion but perhaps that’s the modern football now.
I think in football, some fans have always had very strong feelings about certain players and even stronger opinions on what goes on in their football careers. That’s not new.
777  Economy / Economics / Re: Entrepreneurship and women on: August 04, 2023, 05:47:11 PM
The presence of information technology makes many women who successfully become entrepreneurs, of course it is not an easy thing for women to be successful as an entrepreneur, especially in my country that the most important task of women is to take care of the house and children so that women are rarely found to be successful entrepreneurs.

It’s real crazy that in this present day and age, the most important task of a woman in your country is to take care of the home and the children. It isn’t easy for anyone to successfully start and run a business and the presence of technology has made things easier for everyone.
I think your country should have a change of mind on what they classify as the most important task for a woman to do. It may surprise you that there are also men who are much better at taking care of the home and kids than their female counterparts.
778  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's safe to say - gambling is a guy thing. on: August 04, 2023, 02:59:16 PM
I would like to add another reason: men are often the family's breadwinners. They need high-paying jobs. They will turn to gambling simply because gambling is like a job. They can make a lot of money quickly, and yes, they can accept the misfortunes of loss. Suppose a woman has to take care of all the money in the house. I think they will also see gambling as a place to make money. They will also be addicted to gambling like men.

Gambling will be an entertaining game for people with abundant financial resources, but sometimes also a job for those who want to earn quick money to cover living expenses in the family, but risky—very high loss.

Sure, they’re are a lot of women who get addicted to gambling but I disagree with your point about a woman seeing gambling as a way to make money if they’re the breadwinner of the home.
There are a lot of women who work hard and manage their household finances without having to resort to gambling to make some money.

I think people who see gambling as a job in order to earn money and perhaps get rich enough to cover one’s living expenses are delusional. You don’t get a steady weekly or monthly paycheck from gambling. For that, one would have to get an actual job.

You sound bitter man. Why are you so concerned on what other people do? Why allow yourself get angry if someone fucks around with  a thousand women a week instead of using the money to invest in bitcoin?
You should be more concerned about your own finances than that of someone else’s. It crossed my mind that perhaps you’re just envious you can’t afford that lifestyle yourself.

Don’t allow someone’s lifestyle that you have no business with rile up your emotions. Else I think you could be easily manipulated.

After the interview, he offered me a handsome amount of money that i can not reject so i accepted his offer.

Greed is the probably the leading factor in my opinion on why people get scammed. I had read through the OP and when I came upon the quoted sentence, I chuckled. You’re right, Scammers are getting innovative and are always cooking up new schemes to defraud people. But a common trait in these schemes, old and new alike is that the victims are lured in with the promise of huge returns and profits.
In this case, the OP was observant enough as well as a bit cautious. If all he had been doing what thinking about what he stands to gain while filling out the form, the scam would most likely have been successful.
