761  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't doubt the power of Staking coins on: December 28, 2019, 05:26:37 PM
and the project is gone now, you have to think using logic how they could continue to make unreasonable profits.
more famous currencies also offer betting programs, but with reasonable returns.
so let's just say this is a lesson and think about it before deciding later.
Most of them are already dead as of now and only a few who do able to sustain and still up nowadays but still it isnt really that ideal on investing on staking coins.
Why? Returns on said dates arent really that worth and also you can only felt those staking if you do able to invest huge or thousand of dollars.
Some do have staking coins been earned from various bounty but eventually turns out to be useless later on.

I have no idea what miracle tele had done though, did they offer high yield to stakers?

I'm more concern to the top projects offering staking algo but had survived like the EOS. There are more in the future like ETH I doubt this one will also end up to be dead. Its interesting to see how much will staking coins will also rise up since I planed to do it with the rest of the coins I got like ADA that recently launched their testnet for staking and this ADA like ETH is one of the top coins today.
762  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchanges that conduct IEOS You should stay away from ? on: December 28, 2019, 04:17:42 PM
IEOs has certainly become the order of the day for new start up in cryptocurrency. replacing the traditional ICO which was a means of raising funds for new crypto projects. As we all Know, IEOs are been conducted on Exchanges which was a means to guaranteed investors that they have a platform to exchange( buy/sell) their token and as well a trust and accountabilty in the crypto ecosystem.
Currently there are Exchanges that are not deem FIT To conduct these exchanges because:
1: 90% of the projects the marketed failed to reach softcap.
2; most projects been marketed are still Scam and have nothing to offer.
3; they never review any of these project but rather charge fees for IEO listing.( once, you make your payment, you are allow to conduct your sales on their platform) a sure way of damaging their reputation.
4: they list multiple projects at once making it difficult for investors to make their own review and choose a quality project.

I know of LATOKEN exchange as Number one in this category.
Please drop yours if you have any.

I think there are currently many exchanges that do IEO. Almost all exchanges offer new projects, maybe more Latoken are used for IEO sales targets. Indeed, of the many IEO projects failed too. As you said, it doesn't reach softcap. This investor money can be returned.

Its due to the project that aren't really making a real promising development in the industry. I have participated to once project, it felt like I was already scammed that trading has yet postponed and my BTC were gone. Latoken, Exmarket and P2pB2B are the exchanges doing IEOs this year which most of the project were scam, if this is the case then they allowed the team to withdraw the funds, right?

763  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nothing is wrong with altcoins on: December 27, 2019, 04:22:19 PM

Don't get too hateful to the altcoins, it may just be the only you can have with so little USD you have today. I did listen to the fud during the time when ETH's price was less than $3 now that I can't have 10 of it with $1000. Today you still can buy a ton of the altcoins you wish to invest, take time to see which one you think may rise above to be more than just an altcoin.
764  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why YouTube Bans Bitcoin &Crypto Videos? on: December 27, 2019, 02:53:15 PM
most of crypto channels are made to scam and spread false information and all , if we check YouTube regulations and rules we will know why they have banned videos ,or typical copyrights issue just read youtube regulations

i dont think they ban crypto education channels i follow some channels and i think they are fine according to me

As @avikz say on the first page 'youtube is trying to keep themselves clean from any controversial matters' and that is true. And honestly, most video that has deleted by youtube are airdrop event.

But it is a good step in my opinion, they will reduce the negative things about cryptocurrency first so as there is no one who will be scammed anymore. And this case will eventually same with facebook when they tried to ban crypto and they accept back again.

Their reviewer must manually check each video to clarify what exactly had the videos violated because it only confuses people right now and now want to upload anymore.  On the other thread it I also read that the videos deleted are the ones discussing investment and encouraging people to invest to some project which is the reason for the video taken down.
765  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fake Litecoin Foundation Scam Defrauds 309 LTC from Users on: December 26, 2019, 08:18:30 PM

This is why its hard to trust anyone in crypto, a too good to be true offer are always a sign of scam. This is a classic example of the cointele offering to double the coins when they send something to a particular ETH address. These scammers are just watching the new comers in crypto who are too excited, greedy and willing to risk their tokens for small amount in return.

This time LTC on youtube and foundation is something easily faked.
766  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In 2019, Students Demanded Blockchain Education. In 2020, It’s Coming on: December 26, 2019, 06:57:54 PM
Formal education in the blockchain and cryptocurrency field has been available in 2018 as well. See the MOOC and Masters programme offered by the University of Nicosia.

The thing is all information is available on the internet. You can always buy some blockchain books or just read some well-documented articles out there, you don't need a degree.. Come on. We're passing to the next decade. The world has changed. If you have the will and the mental power to do it go ahead and work. Wink

Its been documented, there is also bitcoin wiki which is also very helpful in education. I have tried downloading ETHEREUM video tutorials of UDEMY, some of them are really informative in teaching Solidity language and the blockchain as well. Discussions we don't see on youtube are there which an individual who just wanted to learn by themselves can definitely teach their own.

I guess you can give your contributions to blockchain community if the companies you wanna hire you asks for credentials.
767  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In 2019, Students Demanded Blockchain Education. In 2020, It’s Coming on: December 26, 2019, 05:11:43 PM

The innovations today are more related to blockchain that countries like China and Germany are making use of the technology.

If blockchain developer receives about $130,000 in US as their salary, its really about time for student to demand they be taught to learn the technology to become a developer.  They can actually learn all these with Udemy but then real time experience is much needed in studies.
768  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Do Women Want? More Educational Materials Before Investing in Bitcoin on: December 26, 2019, 03:53:27 PM

If they really want to be educated regarding Bitcoin and blockchain, they can just go ahead and go to youtube, they can go ahead and watch bitcoin videos. People had been uploading videos explaining what BTC is and blockchain is. They can also go deeper into Andreas Antonopolous discussions. Women and men are a like, when it comes to money we all feel powerful. Women feels they don't need men when they're earning money.
769  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The fight against Bitcoin is coming. Are we ready?! on: December 26, 2019, 02:53:55 PM
I don't understand why anyone would try to stop bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, perhaps they fear the future.
Some countries have tried to stop bitcoin, but again nothing. This is probably because they understand that there is nothing wrong with bitcoin, only good.
No one will ever stop bitcoin.
Of course, you need to understand that the government today is not ready to accept bitcoin. The government can harm itself, thereby infringing on the rights of Bitcoin consumers and those who are involved in mining Bitcoin. It is necessary to ensure that both sides do not go into conflict.

Governments are going to keep their control over the people and the economy, they can't do it when bitcoin is borderless. They wold need to regulate the market and the money coming into it because the citizen has to be protected too when it comes to scam. Some government are already adopting to crypto but some are just going to keep the battle. Bitcoin is already too big to fail and I think its been ready to fight against those who stops it.
770  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins getting delisted on: December 25, 2019, 05:46:37 PM
Hi guys i read on the news that major few exchanges are delisting some altcoins that falls to keep up due to present bear market, for example poloniex exchange is delisting Omni and primecoin and others, what do you have to share about this?

Some are saying its good to invest in old coins now few old coins are dying, I believe they've met the end of their roadmap, no more excitement about them, this is why i still feels that newer coins will take the bigger advantage of future greenish market, what do you think?
Old altcoins are being removed from exchanges because after a long time of operation, these altcoins have become a failure. There are no real products and failed to complete their roadmap. Also the price of tokens has fallen hundreds of times compared to 2017. In 2020 I believe that hundreds of old altcoins will die or even more than that.

Omni is not a failure. It was funded recently for bitcoin layer, this is an app on top of BTC. Remember when Justin announced they are removing DGB, wel its not yet removed. It wouldn't be surprising if the said coins are still going to be listed and these announcements aren't true.  This is to impress people in crypto that polo isn't crawling for help, but it really is begging for people to trade there.

Justin should realize the he doesn't own a big exchange as Binance who can dictate which coins to support or not.
771  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will Senate safe Donald Trump's impeachment? on: December 25, 2019, 05:26:10 PM
And what if they vote that he is not guilty..?
Whether or not the Senate finds him guilty of the charges, the fact that Donald Trump was impeached remains.

Quote
Donald may get reelected when he is not impeached.

He's been impeached. He may get reelected in 2020 as I don't think the democrats have enough number in the Senate to convict President Trump.

Not impeached but there will be impeachment proceedings in the house.

This stunts of the demo will really made them lose in the next election, the dominant rep will crush them all to finally make it peace. Trump is doing good for the US, he made it great as he said and so people likes him. The demo just react in a way they intend to but this will not succeed as its decided by the numbers.
772  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin bubble by 2023; capitalization up to 150 times, a research suggests on: December 25, 2019, 04:54:17 PM

Something you wouldn't really believe until it happen 23% dominance for BTC is just mad when all we are dealing today are for BTC. Currently 68% so why would it shoot up to $140K if its dominance will just be 23%. The possible reason is if there is a new token that will dominate and are widely known already by the people on the internet.

But why would it take 4 more years from now, halving will happen in the next few months. Many expects the bullrun will happen after 6 months.
773  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum: Sinking ship or Sleeping Giant? on: December 25, 2019, 04:13:47 PM

It would be too late for us to dump what we have today since they have already dumped, once we do it today and the price goes up without dipping a below our selling price it would mean we will be forced to buy back higher price. That is just priceless example of buy high sell low scenario, the last time it went $300 should have been your best opportunity but today I'm not doing it.
774  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's up with XRP now? on: December 25, 2019, 02:20:56 PM

Its not that they are not interested to XRP, its just that there isn't much fluctuation happening to XRP, if you try to invest on it you are the only who will make its price fluctuates and everyone will just dump it. I think it now lies in the best price for buying. If you are an investor who sees an opportunity to buy at a current price you will buy XRP but for an investor who wants to keep seeing growth, he be buying at every dip during bullrun.
775  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Price pressure of exchanges on: December 22, 2019, 08:37:20 PM
I really happen?  I use to think the fake volume are just for marketing on CMC. But aren't they audited everytime specially now that is regulated.

Most of the time I withdraw BTC and will just leave the fiat (USDT considered fiat) to wait for the BTC price to dip before buying back otherwise buy ETH and withdraw. I'm form the 3rd world so its much harder to receive USD unless its sent via paypal or western union by someone personally.  BTC, ETH and XRP can easily liquidated in in my country.

776  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [ATL] ATLANT World's Real Estate Blockchain Platform Price Speculattion on: December 22, 2019, 07:28:37 PM
As i remember they had some problem with law (like they don't have lisence for security tokens or something like this). And they are trading on Youbit. This is not trusted exchange. So i would not recommend you invest in this
After they did not fully paid the bounty hunters I don’t trust this project in my opinion. The same I would not recommend others to invest in this coin. Although, mostly alts had fall its price in the market once they have more improvement and updates they might attract new investors.

Correct they implement the KYC option so that they will deceived there hunters and to have an excuse on not to pay them imagine who will pay ETH for own KYC just to get there shares?  Well for that I lost my trust to them and maybe for new people it's 100% advisable that they will not look nor try to buy their tokens since they are rotten already and will surely mess up those new people who will invest again.
Yeah, ATLANT team suddenly make this rules without KYC and another thing you have to claim your reward every month first of all team asking 1 ETH but i was against this bullshit rules and i am talking about ATL official telegram group but they blocked me. Than i never claim my reward because i didn’t turst when. ATL market condition is unexpected.
the team is also blocking me even i just ask about where are the project will be going on. Scammer will always be a scammer and that will never change the scammer's attitude. Atlant is the worst project and this can be verified as a scam too. I hope that people can do something to report this one to the regulators

That is weird. If you check out their Telegram group chat and back read most of the current conversations, you can get the latest updates and plans. Maybe they just don't like your tone of questioning, maybe it sounded entitled.

Probably removing the unnecessary accusations, that's the thing about the channels they control you just can't see them replying to issues whereas here in the forum they are going to be cross examined.  They did close their announcement thread though which add up to the suspicions of the investors. If they just distributed the bounty campaign tokens before 2018, a lot of the users probably have dumped and completely forgot this project. But perhaps the reason why Altant still survived was because of how the distribution was done.

777  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Real reasons to Why do you gamble? on: December 22, 2019, 06:36:09 PM
ofcourse many people gamble to win some money. But the winning is not guaranteed in gambling. Luck plays a major role in gambling.  So expecting 100 percent win on gambling is not a wise thing to do.

Well, gambling is an entertainment and one needs to pay for gaining entertainment right? If someone sees it anything other than pure entertainment, then surely that's their own fault Cheesy it's a pure loss in long run if it's not considered as an expensive entertainment period.

Many of the gamblers actually don't stop even when they knew they can't win all the time in dice or in blackjack, the is no hundred percent we can find out the provably fairness of the casinos but we kept going to gamble away. Its mostly for money for me but I'm doing it when traveling and using my phone only, its sort of an entertainment at the same time which is why I only bet few TRX every time. TRX is cheaper so betting just 25TRX satisfies the thrill.
778  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Historically, how good has the Community been at detecting scams early? on: December 22, 2019, 05:14:48 PM

The scam accusations in the forum are longer than the OP's list, the scams that were covered by mainstream media are just too few than the countless list of scam in the forum since the time of ICOs.  The long list I guess proves the community had accomplished a great community of combating the crypto thieves and there could be more coming.

And the ones that are not published here in the forum to try are probably the ones going to succeed somewhere, which is why when I see someone in linkedin PM me about the project, I will always try to ask the link of the ANN thread in bitcointalk.
779  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which will be the most valuable altcoin? on: December 21, 2019, 06:11:23 PM
Bitcoin's will surely have good days ahead post halving but which will be the most valuable altcoin for 2020?  I vouch on Ethereum and Tron but I would like to know expert's opinion as it would help other members while choosing their altcoin investment as altcoin does pump along with bitcoin so those who cannot afford to invest into bitcoin can invest into altcoins.
If halving has an impact on altcoins, my choice will be top ones. Because there is no definite increasing expectation to take big risk. Maybe, we will earn less, but our loss will not be more as well. Also, considering that halving will influence bitcoin more, that is why diversify most of your funds to it.

Yes top altcoins will be favorites for everyone but it would help us if you can let us know about your favorite out of the top altcoins like I would vouch for Tron and Ethereum.  As our suggestions will help others to do their own research and consider out inputs in order for then to choose right altcoin to invest.

If tron can improve their security and privacy features they may really be a good choice for someone who not only are using it for gambling but are making anonymous transactions. They did announce having that feature but I'm not aware how they were integrated, I think its was zsnarks that was mentioned in their announcement. Tron had been successful in many ways but the price just won't last if Justin keeps jerking the space.
780  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How and why to buy Stablecoins in 2020 on: December 21, 2019, 04:41:56 PM

Volatility is always an issue in cryptocurrency, you just can't trade profitably without it which is why traders are mostly trading coin/stablecoin. We are mostly trading on BTC/USDT which is why tether somehow becomes very trusted as far as i know its the first stablecoin we have been using until the newer comes along.

The problem with stablecoins is that the owners can steal from us which is why tether was being audited previously. They can release more stablecoins while the reserves are unsure.
