761  Other / Politics & Society / Re: a slap on the faces of patriotic citizens on: March 17, 2024, 07:29:57 AM
there is absolutely nothing wrong in critizing your leader. criticism is part of democracy but when you call your country a zoo and all sorts of names and regret being a citizen, you have crossed the redline.
I also have no problem with some people's vituperation and hate over there country but to suddenly decide to serve the same country you hate is hypocrisy of the highest order. and such people will have nothing to offer.they want to make use of the government to gain there own personal subscription, if appointed at the end. Because there are enemies of the country.

Criticism of bad leadership anywhere in the world should be encouraged, because it's important to raise a voice and call a bad government to order by criticizing where they're doing wrong, it wouldn't be right to see things detoriating in the economy and keep quiet, it'll only encourage the leadership to continue in their wrongdoings.

The explanation in the OP that someone criticized the government and called it a zoo, then later comes back to to serve the same country, is ok if he sees the change that he desired coming to manifestation, criticizing your government doesn't mean that you hate your country, it's just the leadership that's you hate. Let us always speak out when we see something going wrong.
762  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: HELP! Can’t someone decode and confirm this website pls. on: March 17, 2024, 06:58:03 AM
Honestly, I have never even heard of EnHash Group.  They say they're some kind of big shot global leader in blockchain? You wouldn't know it from their website.  There's no phone number, address, nothing to let you actually talk to a real live person from the company face-to-face.  Pretty fishy if you ask me, and  i sure wouldn't be keen to invest a dime with them.

I'm also hearing of them for the first time in this thread, and one thing is for sure that it hasn't gained any reputation in the crypto space, so the OP must be very cautious if he wants to go ahead and use their services, but I won't advice that, seeing that it's trust rating so far in this forum is very low. I wouldn't worry about crypto exchanges as there are many reputable ones that he can choose from, let him not take my word for it, but go to coingecko or coinmarketcap like BitMaxz, advised, he can choose from the list of trusted exchanges there.
763  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are the Altcoins Going to Dip in Short Term? on: March 17, 2024, 06:29:52 AM

My dilemma is, should I sell now, wait for the short-term pull back, go back in and sell in the long term, or is this a foolish sentiment?

Never make a mistake of not taking profits of a pumping altcoin. The least regret will be taking profit early and not losing

Taking profits when an altcoin is pumping would be a smart move for any investor, because you don't know when the next dip will happen and whether the project will recover and pump again. Bitcoin price movement controls altcoins, so as we're seeing a correction now, it'll affect the price of most altcoins, let the OP decide the altcoins to sale in order to maximize profit, but if I were him and I have a top altcoin like Ethereum, which is as reputable as Bitcoin, I'll not panic and sale it now.
764  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: How we fit benefit from FG clampdown on Binance? on: March 16, 2024, 02:44:42 PM
Na true say opportunity de create opportunity and as Binance don get wahala for Nigeria, wey make dem suspend dem p2p services, na di opportunity wey our indigenous p2p platforms go take gather our local customers to de patronize dem services, but di problem be say dem trust ratings never reach di foreign exchanges dem levels. Dis issue of Binance p2p na di opportunity wey Patricia, for take collect plenty of dem Nigerian customers, but dat hack wey happen to dem and dem customers funds still de hang, don spoil dem reputation.

As for roqqu, I no know much about dem, and just like most Nigerians na foreign exchanges de more popular and reputable, so for now no be about patronizing indigenous platforms for our exchange matter, na to use exchange wey don gain reputation for di crypto market, na im matter pass.
765  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When do we expect the altcoin season or has it already started? on: March 16, 2024, 01:08:23 PM
So are we still expecting the altcoins season or the gains some of the altcoins made following Bitcoin is already classified as the altcoin season?
Im not sure but everyone expecting a massive altseason after the halving. Cause thats what happened before, right now the alts that are moving are the big projects expect some mid tier to be on the move. Memecoins are on the standby for now and some staking tokens or airdrop tokens are on stagnant too.

Bitcoin bull run is still in it's early stage, and since it's the string that pulls altcoins bull run, I'll have to say that altcoins bull season is warming up, hopefully after the halving, we'll begin to experience most of the reputable ones to start bulling. This is an opportunity for investors to start buying top altcoins like Ethereum, Solana and BNB, even dogecoin, they're certainly going to make their investors to smile, when they aim for new ATHs in this bull season. Undervalued projects should not be overlooked too, investors can also put in some percentage of their investment capital, you never can tell which project will make you richer in the bull run.
766  Economy / Exchanges / Re: I have some testnet3 bitcoin in coinomi but can not withdraw on: March 16, 2024, 11:54:54 AM
There have been many complaints against Coinomi recently. The wallet is not fully functional and the project may have been abandoned.

Sorry to slightly digress from the topic in discussion but it has to do with my coinomi wallet experience, because I don't know if they're a scam wallet now. I had a coinomi wallet that I misplaced my passwords, when I tried to use my seed phrase to alternatively send send my Bitcoin, it keeps telling me that I missed a spelling, even when I imported the coinomi wallet, it's still saying the same thing, but I'm very certain that it's the correct seed phrase that I have. Till date I've not been able to access the Bitcoin in it, so hearing this now, and I'm thinking that they're not a reputable wallet.
767  Economy / Economics / Re: Senators pressure SEC’s Gensler not to approve any more crypto ETFs on: March 16, 2024, 10:40:40 AM
There is really nothing preventing Ethereum ETFs from being approved, and if they are not approved immediately, it may happen within 12 to 18 months, so it is a matter of time, but I do not expect more ETFs, especially since the majority of other cryptocurrencies do not have a solid base like Bitcoin and Ethereum, and I do not expect that. Mutual funds are enthusiastic about such assets, in addition to the possibility of purchasing them through services such as trusts or Grayscale.

I'm also hopeful that Ethereum ETF will be approved sometime within the timeframe that you're predicting, because it has a solid base like Bitcoin, and considering the hurdles before Bitcoin was approved, I think that Ethereum, will overcome any obstacles and be approved too. After when Ethereum, is hopefully approved, I don't look forward to other approvals, atleast not in the near future, like Solana and BNB, that are in the pipeline for approvals too, so that the ETF doesn't lose value, because as they keep approving more will be positioning to be approved too.
768  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best altcoin now? on: March 16, 2024, 08:44:21 AM
With the current situation of the market, I think SOLANA altcoins are growing. I do think that there are a lot of opportunities in Solana, and knowing that it could replace the current leading coin when it comes to smart contracts, Ethereum. With its cheaper fees a lot of coins can grow.

I think that since the last quarter of last year Solana, is gaining massive trust in the crypto space, so I can say that it's going in pair with Ethereum, as the topmost altcoins to invest money in this bull run, so I'll put my money in these two for a guaranteed ROI when they reach their new ATH. Let's not take anything away from Bitcoin, it remains their king, despite the momentory price dump, I believe that it'll still hit the anticipated $150k price in the peak of it's bull run, so I wouldn't panic about it, so far I'm hodling for the long term.
769  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Politicians and false humility on: March 16, 2024, 07:59:10 AM
It is because of this that you should vote the right leaders into power and not just those that sugar coat everything just to fulfil their ambition of getting to the seat of power they aim for. Politics is a very dirty game according to many people and those that fully partake in it, politicians do anything to get what they want and when they get it, they forget to fulfil the promise of those that get them into those seats. After some years, when they’re looking to go for another term or going for another position, they use the money meant for the development of the citizens and the country to fuel their elections again to find their way into power for another term. When electing leaders, we should go for the ones that will do what they promised, if they fail to do so, they shouldn’t be given any change to go for another term.

Perhaps votes can count in developed countries where they respect the rules and regulations of electoral processes, where one man one vote counts and the leaders are held accountable for the promises that they made during their campaigns. In most developing countries elections are rigged, so it doesn't matter if majority of the masses voted for a credible candidate, in the end powers that dictates who enters office will manipulate the process and their scrupulous candidates will emerge winners, who will carry out their unpatriotic agendas. It's said that bad company corrupts good manners, so a politician can emerge with good intentions to serve the masses, but most times they surrender to pressures and blackmails from the corrupt ones to join them. A country can reduce corruption if there's a revolution and these corrupt politicians are all chased away from power.
770  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A curious Newbie!! on: March 16, 2024, 07:07:20 AM
Hi everyone, I'm a newbie with crypto knowledge though. I'm here to network. I see some beautiful profiles with lots of merits and I'm interested in being like that someday. How can that be achieved? Is it like a gift or something.. pls help 😎

Welcome to the forum, and I'm happy that you have crypto knowledge before joining, so you have an edge over some newbies that joined without any crypto knowledge, I believe that with your experience you might rank up with making quality posts than other newbies. I'd advise you to learn the forum rules and focus on quality posts, because if merit is your first priority in this forum, then you might be discouraged to continue, because no member is under obligation to merit you, so it might not be pouring in as you expected, learn to give it time, and eventually it'll start to come. Merit begging is frowned at in this forum so keep posting quality stuff and members will reward you with merits, same you will reward other members too.
771  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Web3-phones trend: are you ready to participate? on: March 16, 2024, 06:33:22 AM
I have seen people that are also influencers that does endorsed these crypto phones. I'm not sure if they're paid and sponsored but mostly they're talking about it with potential airdrops. It's like a hit or miss if they're for real but if I am going to buy any phone, I wouldn't buy those ones that are labeled with crypto. People are too furious nowadays and when they know that you're holding a crypto or web 3 phone, you'll never know what they can do to you.

I guess that these airdrops are the main catch why people who are into crypto are patronizing these crypto phones, because you can also carry out your crypto transactions with your regular smart phones, also for some reasons these crypto phones are not popular among the crypto users that I know. I guess that the crypto phones can expose a user whereby people who are familiar with the phones will know that the holder is into crypto, and I know that most of us that are in the crypto space don't like to anounce it, we prefer our privacy, because we can become targets for scammers and other criminal minds.
772  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Minimalism in Bitcoin would slow your accumulation process on: March 15, 2024, 07:27:49 PM
The beauty about Bitcoin investment that I love so much is that every investor is not in competition with any other investors, and there's no minimal or maximum amount that is required to start the investment journey, so it's up to anybody to decide how they accumulate and hodle. Despite what Bitcoin price is at anytime, any income earners can start according to their capacities, and they don't need to have the money to buy 1 Bitcoin, they can just start by purchasing in Satoshi, and doing DCA method till they reach their goal.

I think that if anybody is hodling for the long term, then they don't really need to worry about the present price when they want to buy, because it'll surely surpass that price in future ATH, although it's more profitable to buy in bearish seasons.
773  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk hints Possibility of Accepting Dogecoin for Tesla Car Purchase  on: March 15, 2024, 05:51:03 PM
How the hype will come. I mean the doge coins will be used by the holders and they'll buy the car if they have the coins of cars worth. Why people will get their assets into exchanges and Then convert them into dege coins and then buy the Tesla car. Do you really think people will do that? If you're thinking that then you are at a very big mistake brother.

Yeah it can be an option if he gives discounts to people who'll buy doge coins and then can discuss the matters with the project owners. This can potentially attract some people to buy with doge coins otherwise I think it'll be of no use to introduce this even if it's true.

If Elon Musk, is planning to accept dogecoin, for the purchase of Tesla cars, then the question will be how many crypto investors that are willing to purchase a Tesla, with dogecoin? And can the average crypto holder afford to buy a Tesla car?  So it's not really about accepting dogecoin for the purchase of Tesla, but a hype for the memecoin, in this bull run, so a push buy a major whale like Elon, can make doge, to hype and pump, to attract investors to it, it's just a promotion strategy. I guess that investors that are up for it can buy it now before it's price starts to surge, I think that it has the potentials.
774  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Man bet his life savings on 1 spin of Roulette on: March 15, 2024, 04:53:30 PM
A person that'll stake all his life's savings just for a spin of roulette is either crazy or the video is staged to promote irresponsibility, because no sane gambler who has responsibilities will risk all his money to gamble , which which depends on luck. It's said that he that is down fears no fall, so if a gambler is very poor that he wants to use his last cash to gamble, then it can be understood that afterall if he doesn't gamble the money that it'll all still be spent on the next meal, but for someone that has a substantial savings and wants to gamble it all at once is nothing short of insanity.
775  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sell Crypto TO Fiat in a Crypto Friendly Country? on: March 15, 2024, 04:13:52 PM
You're a foreign if you only open a bank account in Portugal and you're still a subject as Canadian citizen when it comes to tax. You might be not have any problem for few months or years, but if you have a lot money, don't be surprised if you would receive a letter from your banks or tax authority.

A better idea is to change your nationally or just spend your coins directly (move to El Salvador).

I think that the OP can consider the possibilities of making the exchange of his crypto into fiat, in probably the most crypto friendly country in the world, being El Salvador, he can carry out research and see if he can carry out his transactions without being heavily taxed in that country. Even if it requires him moving to El Salvador, altleast it's in the same American continent with Canada, instead of traveling all the way to Portugal, if it calls for traveling to the crypto friendly country. Let him make take advices but make his own research before making up his mind.
776  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Putin have 2 options to stop war or get russia occupied by france on: March 15, 2024, 03:30:24 PM
WTF I just read? First of all, from where did you took that France have intentions to occupy Russia. After all it's not Napoleon era anymore. I guess it's related with Macron words about sending ground troops to Ukraine. Even if such thing will happen, do you really think that French troops would come here to occupy Russia? I don't even think there is big chance thatthey will send troops to Ukraine, so far it's nothing more than words.
And do you think that France is capable to occupy Russia alone. With just 200k active personel and little reseves it doesn't sounds realistic. Unless we talk about apocalyptic scenario with nuclear missiles used.

Thanks for this clarification, because I was wondering when France, declared that they were going to invade Russia, it's obviously in the OP imagination, if France, crosses that line, then Russia, will not fold it's hands and watch, they'll surely retaliate and the aftermath will be an escalation of the war, which might lead to a world war. France, can not precede NATO in that regard, because Russia, is not a pushover country, they'll give in everything in their arsenal, which is the dreaded nuclear weapon, so anyhow you look at it, a full scale war will not be favorable for Russia and the NATO alliance, it's only in diplomatic dialogue that the issue of Russia invasion of Ukraine, will end, violence begets greater violence, especially when it's two elephants that are involved.
777  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Our newbies de ternish Nigeria, image too much for main boards on: March 15, 2024, 02:18:52 PM
This is the third of this thread in just few weeks. I did against this type of thread in the past because I knew we may be posting about something like this in new threads continuously and it is happening. I am not against giving your own opinion on the threads you people are referring to but no need of creating new thread about it.

Thanks for this observation it's not mandatory that one must create thread even if we want to create let us avoid this over repeating of one thread is very irritating, this the major reason most of our senior ogam them some most time don't post on this board,I remember some week ago commenting on similar topic like this, let make the board more interesting by posting New thing not a repeat of thread.

I thank una for di observation, my apology say I start thread wey some members don already start, na di vex wey de for my mind make me just go straight to start am without checking first. Di thing de annoying say among di whole nationalities wey de for di forum na only Nigerian negative matters we de always see, abi oda countries no get corrupt politicians and criminals? E come be like say nothing good fit to come out from Nigeria, while we get millions of positive people wey de very innovative for dem professions and de make di country proud, but our newbies no go start topic about dem.

Dis development no de good for our naija reputable inside dis forum. I remember one negative thread wey one of our newbies start, and one legendary member from another country come make comment about how fraudulent wey Nigerians de, I come quote di member say we get over 200 million citizens for Nigeria, and na less than %5 de into cyber crime, say majority of Nigerians de work hard for dem money. Abeg make we de discuss our country bad reputation for dis our local board, because I believe say na so odas de discuss dem own for dem local boards.
778  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Am i bad to this friend if i refuse to loan him some money in bad economy on: March 15, 2024, 01:00:24 PM
Someone must know that you're capable of giving them a loan before they'll approach you for it, so you've probably at some point told him that you're discreet in spending because you're investing your money, this is why we must be very careful about the kind of people that we discuss our financial matters with, because the irresponsible ones will believe that when they're broke that you're going to either loan or gift them money.

Since the loan is not to save a life or make payment for an important emergency situation, then it's your choice whether to give or not, but you know your friend's character, whether he's a reckless spender or a prudent spender who genuinely needs help. Remember that money and women ends  friendships, so loan a friend money that you can afford to loose.
779  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My observation on memecoins seeking legitimacy. Cool or not cool? on: March 15, 2024, 12:24:27 PM
I believe that if these meme coins you mentioned were to have utilities, they would no longer be considered mere meme coins because a meme coin typically lacks a real use case or utility; they are just for fans, a joke coin. If they were to be given use cases, it would imply that they are no longer just for amusement because they have transitioned from being a joke to something serious.

I think that the name memecoins have underscored any meaningful innovations that any of the meme teams will want to add to their values, and who can blame investors that has this mindsets towards the meme family, when most of them operates more like Ponzi schemes. Most of the new memes are scams, they'll come with hypes, give early investors mouth watering ROI then scam the latter investors, this is why I'm most skeptical about them. Although top memes like dogecoin and Shiba Inu, are trying to change the narrative of memecoins, but they can only impact their own tokens and not the bunch.
780  Economy / Economics / Re: World fight over resources don't live in country where is a lot natural resource on: March 14, 2024, 04:47:28 PM
A country without natural resources and they're not technologically inclined will have a very poor economy, so they're not better of than countries that have natural resources and bad government that doesn't manage their resources well. So the best thing for anybody that falls into the category of people that suffers due to corruption and governments mismanagement in a country is to either relocate to a developed country where they can have a better life, or stay and try to better their standard of living. They should think outside the box and learn a skill that'll make their services relevant, if there's unrest in the country then they should find a way to migrate to a peaceful country and seek asylum.
