Did I read that right? > 120? ...as in 120+BTC?

Somehow I doubt "a few minirigs" will be available at a price that makes sense, but I'll stop by the minirig store later and take a peek. Wink

I'd take a couple Avalons if the price was low enough...they're an admins dream to manage and we're not going to find cheaper hashes than that given their overclocking potential.

Cheers.

Even at higher difficulties these make sense. Your ROI isn't 2 weeks, just because you don't achieve 100% ROI in 2 weeks doesn't mean they're worthless. That's as silly as people on here offering $800 for an in hand jalapeņo in early July. Yes, difficulty will get up there to the point that ROI is measured in months rather than weeks, and eventually non-existent, but were still a ways away from that. I think.

<sigh>

We're not talking about an ROI of two weeks or even two years...we're talking about an ROI of approximately *NEVER*. There are more efficient products in the pipeline right now(Bitfury, knc, VMC, Hashfast, etc...). When those products become available in quantity the clock will start ticking and BFL has made it abundantly clear that they do not care about shipping products in a timely manner as per FTC rules. You will have a locked in(non-refundable) pre-order for a gen 1 ASIC while gen 2 ASICs destroy any possible hope of ever breaking even let alone making a profit.

Chargeback now if possible.

Is that Northern Indiana by chance? I'm in South Central MI, but Indiana is a long state as you know. The difference between a drive to Gary and drive to Muncie is huge. Smiley

Tried on another system and was greeted with a screen that says I must be logged in. When I clicked that link it led me to a wordpress page, which I logged into, but I again have zero downloads available and I still haven't received the file even once. Perhaps your counter could monitor actual downloads completed and not downloads attempted?

Possible that saved wordpress login credentials are messing up your system? Avalon used wordpress for their sales.

Please again reset my download counter so that I may try to get the file from a 2nd computer.

TIA.

What a PITA. Can you just email me the file at the address I registered?

I download files everyday and don't have any issues.
767  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Haasonline Simple Trade Bot For BTCe and Bitstamp[Main topic] on: August 12, 2013, 05:01:10 PM
I have taken a look at your order and everything seems to be alright from the website perspective. I can see you already downloaded the software 4 times. Is it possible the download itself is blocked on your computer or something like that?

Just to be sure i have reset the amount of downloads for you order, this way you can give it another try. Please PM me of use the ticket system if this does not solve your issue. Then i will have a look again.

Thanks for your efforts, but I still cannot access the file.

The error message is different depending on which of the 3 browsers I try(chrome, firefox, IE), but the result is the same...no file.

Agreed. Blades are a bunch less hassle and I'm not even crazy about the idea of running a bunch of 10Gh/s devices, plus I don't believe they'll hold their value as well as BFL gear will given their higher power consumption.

I have bids in for a few different auctions.

Cheers.

75BTC sans PSU. You pay next day shipping and I pay escrow.

120BTC for both, shipped express/next day. I pay escrow.

I heard John K. is out of the country and propose Carnth as an alternative escrow agent.

Difficulty will increase by an estimated 36% in 26hrs which will lower the value of all pre-orders by this amount...and it will happen again and again until those pre-orders are worthless.

A decent price is only decent if you receive the gear when difficulty is low enough for said gear to be relevant. That will not be the case for those that purchased pre-order hardware from bfl this year and most of last as they're shipping entirely too slowly.

Chargeback if you're able.

Hi Stephan224. I paid for your STB yesterday and was notified today that payment was complete and I could download the program, but when I try it says the file is unavailable. As a result I've never received the file and I'm told I have only one remaining attempt. Can you tell me what's going on?

Cheers.

Very nice work!

Paypal only? You won't accept payment in BTC?

Avalon batch 3's are waiting on DHL last I heard, and yifu didn't even announce anything til mid/late July.

You heard wrong and I have the batch 3 next to me to prove it.

creativex: Are you aware that you're next on the list of SEC?

Hi narayan. I did not know that, thank your for the information.

Not seeing an October delivery as likely for hashfast. Their products are interesting, but there isn't any evidence offered that they'll have a chance of meeting their timetable.

Cheers.
779  Other / Archival / Re: btt on: August 10, 2013, 08:16:49 PM
All the early Bitfuries are spoken for, too late to get that on that boat now.

I'm aware of that. However, just as we were able to wait for a review of an Avalon b1 product before ordering a b2, the Bitfury products for August delivery should give us a real look at their products before we have to pay for products slated for October delivery. We won't have to order completely blind like we would with other vendors. Also there's some talk of possible improvements on Bitfury M boards between batches.

As to CREDIBILITY, check out this glowing Hashfast endorsement from Cypherdoc:

Thanks, I'll have a look.
780  Other / Archival / Re: btt on: August 10, 2013, 07:51:02 PM
Pre-orders do not have a 100% failure rate.  G1 Avalons were spectacularly profitable.

1) Credibility - Can this vendor deliver what they claim and most importantly can they deliver it WHEN they claim. To date pre-order vendors have a 100% failure rate, though obviously some have failed more spectacularly than others.

When HW vendors get the money up front any semblance of customer service goes right out the window. While b1 customers did great hashing with ASICs while everyone else was using FPGAs and GPUs it was a one time event on a small batch and Avalon couldn't even ship that on time. Their performance since has been far worse.

IMO, Bitfuries are great at present but soon to be overtaken by 28nm tech, perhaps by Christmas.

Depending on your power costs and climate, YMMV.

Perhaps, but I don't think we can afford to wait that long to add new gear. Aren't knc's 28nm products expected to have a lower efficiency than Bitfury's 55nm products? We'll have to make a decision based on what's actually shipping.

Cheers.
