Copenhagen progress to the round of 16 was indeed a surprise, because everyone previously favored Man United or Galatasaray who would accompany Bayern Munchen to the knockout stage. Menurut ane, banyak orang indonesia mau jadi ASN itu bukan karena gaji, tunjangan dan lain-lain, tapi karena ambil statusnya saja. Pemuda yang berstatus ASN akan lebih bergengsi jika mau melamar anak gadis tetangga dibanding karyawan swasta (walau gajinyanya 2 digit). Banyak calon mertua (yang kolot) akan lebih memilih menikahkan anaknya dengan PNS dibanding Pemuda yang penghasilannya cuma trader. Itu fakta sih, soalnya temen ane gagal nikah sama gacoannya karena ortunya milih pemuda yang bekerja sebagai PPNPN (honor) di kecamatan. Padahal pemuda (trader) tersebut bisa menghasilkan puluhan juta/bulan, tapi karena statusnya gak jelas, ditolak. Tau sendirilah gaji honorer berapa, tapi karena pemuda tersebut berbaju dinas coklat dan ada pin kecamatan, ortu si cewek melempeng kayak kerupuk disiram air. Saya harus bilang hanya orang bodoh yang mau jadi ASN hanya karena "status" dan mengesampingkan segala benefits jadi ASN khususnya yang PNS. Menurut saya alasan paling banyak digunakan orang tertarik menjadi PNS adalah jaminan penghasilan dan jaminan masa depan. Kalau untuk urusan ditolak calon mertua karena status temen om yang tidak jelas, saya berdiri di sisi calon mertua tersebut. Tidak ada orang tua yang mau melihat anaknya menikah dengan orang yang status kerjaannya tidak jelas walaupun bisa menghasilkan puluhan juta per bulan karena ini bukan sesuatu yang pasti. Tapi disisi lain, benarkah calon mertua tersebut menolak temen om dan memilih yang bekerja dikecamatan itu semata2 hanya karena status pekerjaannya? Saya yakin om blue snow hanya dengar dari satu sisi saja yaitu dari teman om dan tidak mendengar dari sisi yang cewek atau dari orang tuanya si cewek. Bisa jadi ada alasan lain yang tidak om blue snow ketahui kan? Tidak bisa dipungkiri memang masih banyak orang tua melihat status, tapi tergantung kitanya juga bagaimana kita berusaha meyakinkan calon mertua dengan apa yang kita bisa lakukan. Satu contoh kasus dari teman om ini tidak serta merta bisa mengeneralisir bahwa semua orang tua kolot seperti itu. Ada kasus lain dimana orang tua lebih memilih calon mantu yang pedagang daripada ASN, dan lain lain. . Pastinya orang bisa memiliki penilaian berbeda-beda, dan saya pun sebagai orang tua yang sudah punya anak walaupun masih kecil pasti juga punya keinginan agar besok anak saya punya suami yang punya pekerjaan yang jelas, setidaknya yang tidak bikin saya sebagai orang tua khawatir akan kehidupan anak saya setelah menikah. Sebenarnya ada benang merahnya disini, maksud saya status PNS dalam pandangan sebagian orang menjamin masa depan ada benarnya. Saya berasalan bahwa jaminan yang dimaksud disini bukan hanya untuk gaji perbulannya saja, tunjangan, honorarium atau lain sebagainya. Akan tetapi jika terjadi hal yang paling buruk katakanlah PNS nya meninggal dunia, maka istri dan anak-anaknya masih mendapatkan uang pensiun, jadi dalam hal ini dapat dikatakan bahwa pandangan tersebut ada benarnya. Namun dalam konteks gengsi karena status PNS nya, hal tersebut sangat bergantung pada orientasi dan tingkat kecerdasan seseorang. Sebagian orang yang tidak pernah bergaul dengan lingkungan pebisnis tidak akan tahu berapa keuntungan yang dapat mereka hasilkan perbulannya, begitu juga dengan pekerjaan lainnya seperti trader, yang bagi sebagian orang tua awam hal tersebut adalah angan-angan belaka, dapat dimengerti sebab mereka tidak pernah tahu keuntungan yang didapatkan. Terlepas dari itu semua, pendapatan PNS memang tidak seberapa besar, di sebagian tempat angkanya terlihat besar namun itu seimbang dengan harga kebutuhan pokok sehari-hari.
