Personally I liked the chart patterns as well. Grin Keep up the great work.

Yeah, I prefer chart patterns over wave patterns as well. But then again, we're getting both. What's not to love? Smiley Keep up the good work WaveAddict!
762  Economy / Speculation / Re: Its called a correction on: February 17, 2012, 08:01:20 PM
Haha, nice! Things are getting even better  Grin
763  Economy / Speculation / Re: Its called a correction on: February 17, 2012, 07:17:46 PM
No problem! Smiley I definitely like the charts, really informative! Now let's see how it plays out. Wondering how accurate they are Smiley!
764  Economy / Speculation / Re: Its called a correction on: February 17, 2012, 07:11:25 PM
Got it once as well, but it was a forwarded message instead of the original. Not that it matters of course, but just reporting that here Smiley Thanks again! Looks good, I'm going to study and read those charts now. Thanks again!
765  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoinica now supports email notifications! on: February 17, 2012, 04:48:39 PM
OMG Z is goin short!  Wink

Seriously tho, thanks for the feature.

One question: do you have plans to make option to edit orders? Cos now one needs to cancel and create new.

There are three ways of editing orders:

- Directing to another page: it's painfully slow. Rejected.
- Modal window: it's still slower than canceling and place again. Rejected.
- In-place editing: it causes user errors easily. Rejected.

I don't think it's a necessary feature to have. So there's no plans for that. :-/

I have a simple solution for that: Just add/substract new orders from previous orders. So when I have a limit buy @ 4 for 100 BTC I can:

-Place another limit buy @ 4 for 10BTC causing the order to show 110 BTC limit buy @ 4
-Place a limit sell @ 4 for 10BTC causing the order to show 90 BTC limit buy @ 4
-Place another order altogether, causing the window to show 2 separate orders.

Wonderful! I've been waiting for such a feature! Good job!
767  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DIANNA: the IANA Decentralized design concept on: February 17, 2012, 01:08:15 PM
Really great idea! I love the fact you have something laid out, with arguments and ideas, rather than just a vague description of what you want to do. This could materialize really fast and become something awesome! This has potential Smiley Is it going to support merged mining by the way? May have missed it, but I don't think I could find anything about it on the wiki.
768  Economy / Speculation / Re: What if Bitcoinica requires identification for all customers? on: February 17, 2012, 10:49:20 AM
Why are so many people voting the last option? Do you honestly think Bitcoin has any way of succeeding without required identification at the major trading and exchange sites? Of course I would prefer no requirements of identification at all, but it's just not realistic in the long run. What should be discussed is the actual terms we will have to agree/disagree with. As long as we don't have to agree to outrageous terms, it's going to be a step forward for the long run.
769  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MTGOX new privacy policy??? on: February 16, 2012, 12:46:04 AM
There's nothing stopping anyone here from transacting anonymously on a one to one basis.  If you're not happy with goxes policies don't use them.  Afaic, whatever they're doing to stay in business is fine with me as I have nothing to hide.

I have nothing to hide either, but accepting terms which state they can be careless with information about me? No thanks...
770  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MTGOX new privacy policy??? on: February 16, 2012, 12:25:08 AM
You have to protect your identity, and YOU are liable for MtGox's losses:

Members are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their Account information, including their password, and for all activity including Transactions that occur under their Account. Members agree to notify Mt. Gox immediately of any unauthorized use of their Account or password, or any other breach of security by email addressed to security@mtgox.com. Members will be held liable for losses incurred by Mt. Gox or any other user of the Site due to someone else using their password or user account.

Mt Gox doesn't have to protect your identity, and they aren't liable when they don't:

Mt Gox will transfer Members' Personal Information to Mt. Gox K.K. as well as the third party service providers entrusted by Mt. Gox with the hosting of the Platform and other technical operations relating to the operation of the Platform. These parties may be located anywhere in the world. By accepting this Privacy Policy, you consent to such transfer of your Personal Information out of Japan. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure and whilst we will do our best to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site when it is outside of our control.
...
To the extent permitted by law, Mt. Gox will not be held liable for any damages, loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of business, loss of opportunity, loss of data, indirect or consequential loss unless the loss suffered is caused by a breach of these Terms by Mt. Gox.

"You may request it, that doesn't mean we do anything about your request.":

You may also request the deletion or destruction of both the Account and Personal Information by sending an email to us at: support@mtgox.com. Mt. Gox will action your request only where this is not inconsistent with its legal and regulatory obligations.

...they are hoping you read that and not this?:

In accordance with our record keeping obligations we will retain Accounts and Personal Information for, at least a period of five years after they are closed by Members.

("...and the user can't specify or change any terms ever."):

Mt. Gox reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to change, add or remove portions of these Terms, at any time.

They just say this about when they will demand ID, which is just a continuation of the existing policy of holding funds ransom with no notice until they get what they want:

Transactions may be frozen until the identity check has been considered satisfactory by Mt. Gox as required by applicable money laundering laws. Mt. Gox may request additional identification information at any time at the request of any competent authority or by application of any applicable law or regulation.

These terms are insane. What the hell?!

Got your email as well, waiting for 1 confirmation before I can send the money I withdrew from Bitcoinica. The current block is taking insanely long :p I'll let you know once the 2.5BTC are on their way to you Smiley
772  Economy / Economics / Re: MasterCard fears Bitcoin: News Article on: February 15, 2012, 07:24:49 PM
Mastercard should fear BTC. They are already marginal and losing more market is not good for their future.

I disagree.  I would gladly pay MC a monthly fee and interest to give me a BTC credit line and the usual chargeback / contest charge / fraud prevention services.

This! People need to stop thinking they can't coexist. Creditcard company provide valuables services that people will continue to use, even if Bitcoin would gain widespread acceptance. In my opinion, they would do far better in the long run by embracing Bitcoin, rather than fighting it.
773  Economy / Speculation / Re: Its called a correction on: February 14, 2012, 09:11:29 PM
ok, since I really am not going to waist a whole lot of time on a fancy web page given that I'm charging only 2.5bitcoin/month...I'll keep it simple. I'll give everyone a time of day (a window) when they send a payment to my address. Each window time will be associated with a different member. Send me your email address (hushmail is what I use with bitcoin) and I'll add/subtract from the mailing list depending on who pays and who doesn't. Sound fair?

Now since many are probably thinking..."well hell how do I know that he is not going to just take my money and run." There really is no guarantee here. the first payment of 2.5 coins is really a trust thing...but let's me honest, I'm not asking for much. I'm more interested in you guys liking what you see and telling your friends about it. I'll probably have the first week free so you all know what you are getting into. Plus it will always be month to month. Plus, I will stop posting on this free forum for fairness sake when it comes to charting and direction.

What do we do!   I wanna pay so I dont have to think.. Smiley

Don't work with time windows, that's really an odd way of doing things! Just create a separate address for every member who wants to subscribe. Easy to keep track who has paid and who hasn't! What's your email address? I've send you a PM because I couldn't find your email address anywhere... Thanks! Smiley

775  Economy / Speculation / Re: Its called a correction on: February 14, 2012, 05:37:56 PM
I'd most likely be in as well. If it contains short-term updates as well. Those are the most valuable to me.
776  Economy / Speculation / Re: Its called a correction on: February 14, 2012, 02:45:11 PM
I heartily agree. It makes me cringe when I see people in here trading actively on Bitcoinica who don't know what a margin call is, what swap rates are, or any other myriad of extremely basic trading concepts are. Then they blame Zhoutong for stealing all their precious money when they inevitably lose it all.

This +9000
777  Economy / Speculation / Re: The only Winner: zhoutong on: February 14, 2012, 11:55:26 AM
Maybe the plan to bring the price down, get many people zhoutongued and make much money, then buying back all BTCs at cheap level by using a not public known account and make the game again.
If the person which does it, is zhoutong he would be the only winner of the game. ;-)

1) The price of BTC is not to your liking
2) Blame Zhoutong with Bitcoinica
3) Huh
4) Profit

By the way, I'm winning with my short. That makes me a winner too Smiley
778  Economy / Speculation / Re: Gox is goxxing? on: February 10, 2012, 11:21:51 PM
Yeah, mtgoxlive is extremely slow again and btccharts is showing wrong values. I'm seeing constant activity in sierra charts with multiple trades being executed, but not a single one of them is showing up on mtgoxlive. Weird.
779  Economy / Speculation / Re: Gox is goxxing? on: February 10, 2012, 11:19:40 PM
mtgoxlive.com and btccharts.com both load fine for me, but don't show any action, while sierra chart is showing constant activity. Looks like yet another Mtgox API issue. This is getting old...

Really?..  I'm on my Mac right now.  What is Sierra Chart showing that isn't reflected in mtgoxlive?

The spike to 5,98444 wasn't showing, but then it updated, but didn't show the drop back down to 5,93xxx. Now it's fully updated again, and both sierra chart and mtgoxlive is showing the same values. Let's hope the API doesn't crap out again once the volume increases!
