I tried to put a buy order in when looking at the number of bids at $35, but as soon as I put the order in (and still pending) the price crashed again.
My order hasn't executed (now way above market price).  It's impossible to trade like this when you're looking at data that could, potentially, be half an hour old or more.

Sell Bitcoins --> Market Order. Wink

Guy is claiming to be the "inventor" of viral marketing? Naaa....

"Arguably."  Smiley

Tim Draper is arguably the creator of "viral marketing."[2] His idea to use "viral marketing" in web-based e-mail to geometrically spread an Internet product to its market was instrumental to the successes of Hotmail and Yahoo! Mail, and has been adopted as a standard marketing technique of hundreds of businesses. Although Draper coined use of the term "viral marketing" in connection with Internet services and was among the first to document the phenomenon in writing,[2] several arguably "viral" campaigns preceded Hotmail and Yahoo Mail!'s use of the technique (for example, MCI's Friends & Family Plan launched in 1991, a full 5 years prior to Hotmail's launch[3]).

"Draper" is a big name with a long history in the valley.

Big name you say?

Tim Draper - Founder of Draper Fisher Jurvetson

  • 3rd generation venture capitalist, funded Hotmail, Skype and Baidu
  • Created the DFJ Global Network, the first international network for early-stage venture capital
  • Inventor of Viral Marketing

Boost is run by his son. Cool

Over the weekend the BitInstant team has been hard at work securing our system from a sophisticated attack on Thursday evening.

Overall, due to major choke points and redundancies in our system, the hacker was only able to walk away with $12,480 USD in BTC, and send them in 3 installments of 333 BTC to bitcoin addresses.

Well, it's been more than a couple of hours. As food for thought, here is a bet to consider:

Prediction: Bets of Bitcoin won't be back online.

Rationale: Whenever a sufficiently anonymous service is entrusted with bitcoin without sufficient collateral,
and the amount thus entrusted is large in comparison to the profitability of the service,
that service will seize to exist when the ratio of coins coming in to the coins going out turns negative.

Deadline: January 1, 2014.

So beautiful. Blows the already awesome Casascius Bitcoin Bills away.
...This looks like money, not just paper.

Talk to Casascius about licensing the design perhaps?

He has written software for automating production using trustless(?) n-of-m keys and other neat stuff, IIRC.

You two should talk:

Lol, when did Samsung decide to migrate from Korea to Japan?!

Heh. That's one thing. Motorola is from... Illinois.

Does anyone have records for supply changes? Are things starting to look bleak for those who want cheap bitcoins?
