761  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Past two months bitcoin journey on: July 16, 2021, 01:37:59 PM
I am really not expecting prices to rise with great boom period shortly and don't have any worries at all.I have just decided to invest my funds for period of 6 months regularly without even waiting for price to go down or up and want to hold that investment for long period but if I will try to increase my DCA investment strategy for a longer period and completely give up on unhealthy foods and unnecessary items which only lies in my backyard. This will surely keep on going with btc investment because we are still not too late to this journey.

Yup for long term investor, we shouldn't think about the movement price in the short term. As long as BTC was created, it has a good performance and the price is always higher than before. There is no asset without bearish condition, if we are in bearish market, thats natural. Even gold that is popular as a safe asset has its own history when the price dump. We have to be focus on our saving and investment. In this pandemic, indeed all of assets have the slow movement.
762  Economy / Economics / Re: Poor and middle class as a mentality on: July 15, 2021, 04:36:04 PM
But, if the government is corrupt, then it is upon the individual on how he can alleviate himself from poverty.

When we talked about the government's corruption, that will not end. The corruption come from the greedy of human being. So, for the country which has many cases about corruption, that means the wheel of principal cant work effectively. The poverty which built the poor mentality  will be a culture of their life. One solution for them is only from them too, because without intention from within will damage ur life.
763  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do many mainstream economists always oppose Bitcoin? on: July 15, 2021, 03:31:49 PM

Now suddenly uneducated people are trading Crypto currencies without intermediaries and broker fees and "special" knowledge and those people hate that.  Wink

I couldn't agree more, because when my lecturer taught me how the stock investment flow, that looks like only for they are clever who can invest in stock market meanwhile I was a poor student without much pocket money but really want to come out from the poverty then I found BTC. Although for the first time, I dont believe with BTC but for next my friend encourage me to start investing in BTC and I feel better than before, in crypto market the flow is easy to understand and without broker fee or anything else. Just use ur own brain and that really helps me.
764  Other / Archival / Re: Brief History of Bitcoin Adoption on: July 15, 2021, 02:17:50 PM
BTC is a great invention which use technology as a solution for financial system issues. Everything in this world has their own milestone and same like BTC. For the beggining until now, BTC has grown too. I know BTC since I was a student of university then my friend introduced me BTC as a new investment choice, but I still unbelieve with BTC. Because I dont understand about investment and I dont know anything about them. In my head, investment is saving money in the bank account or saving gold or buy a house. I dont understand how coin who invisible can make u become a rich, but we can see know how great BTC is.
765  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is cryptocurrency bad for the environment? on: July 15, 2021, 01:30:22 PM
So far, while there is a lot of speculation that cryptocurrencies are bad for the environment, but there is no evidence to show the damage caused by crypto mining. in fact it is not harmful, because if you compare the mining of gold then you need to reflect on the statement that mining crypto is much more effective and efficient, than mining gold, coal, natural gas, etc.

just because it uses a waste of electricity that requires high power? okay, let's see how much it costs Bitcoin mining and electricity costs? I think a lot of speculation is exaggerated so that those who are interested in mining Bitcoin think again.

Just like what happened a few months ago when the tweet about it cause some big issues in the market and the reason for it to crash just because of that non-sense topic where it does not prove any point. Looks like they already planned that thing before tweeting those words because it is impossible that the reason for the market to fell last few months was because of the bad to environment thing. Therefore, whenever they tweet those negative words and link them to cryptocurrency, we should take heed and don't listen to them because they are not really hearing themselves every time they talked, it's just simply non-sense at all.

Yup, I really hate this situation because when the popular man tweet on his page about environment issue of BTC that was just a bullshit. They use this issue just for their own profit and kill the price. But as the penny investor, we follow what whales said meanwhile they told the statement with full politic agenda behind of this.
766  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Debunking the "Bitcoin is an environmental disaster" argument. on: July 14, 2021, 04:34:39 PM
This is the real reason, masked under the idiotic ESG moratorium of a "polluting industry".

Yup, I couldn't agree more. I really hope this drama ends soon, because BTC is a viable invention for future financial solutions.  If a lot of people shout that BTC is not environmentally friendly, it's just a rant.  Even gold, which is an investment asset that has been trusted for a long time, also damages the environment.  If you want very real evidence without thinking hard, just look on google "project freeport Indonesia" how mountains turn into ravines just because they want to dredge the existing gold.
767  Economy / Economics / Re: Singapore, the banking industry, and Bitcoin on: July 14, 2021, 03:34:58 PM
As long as I know, the Singapore's government policy really support their society to advance their life level. Tha public facilities is made for advertising their country to investors, in the south east Asia Singapore is popular as the Bitcoin heaven because the government support their society to trade and invest in BTC, but to protect their fiat existance the government made tax fee for trading BTC at least 7%. I know that is a high fee for paying but this is a win win solution for the country. The government really understand that BTC has a potential for the future currency and there is no forbidden about BTC there, I really admire their government system.
768  Economy / Economics / Re: Yahoo Finance, US and UK Inflation Contribute to Cryptocurrency Sell-off on: July 14, 2021, 02:34:13 PM
Not only crypto market that has been affected by tappering off policy The Fed, but also economic condition of the others countries such as my country. Central Bank of my country has prepared the policy for facing easing restriction in the US. If we talked about crypto market, as long as I know the movement price sometimes depend on the bigger market which has the same characteristic especially in risk term. Indeed, I dont follow the global stock market daily news but in my country stock market news has been really crowded just because of The Fed policy. Thats natural if crypto market has been affected this news too, The investor always has one purpose which is "gain". In the pandemic era, the risky market isn't sexy anymore with additional the bad issue from the China Government. When The Fed apply this policy, will be sexier if we save our money to the deposito than crypto which can down until 5% per day.
769  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: [DISKUSI] Tapering off The Fed akankah mempengaruhi Pasar Crypto? on: July 14, 2021, 01:27:57 PM

770  Economy / Economics / Re: What is better - cryptocurrency trading or investing? on: July 13, 2021, 03:57:17 PM
To my friends who wanted to enter this market, I always suggested they do investing instead of trading because as you may know bitcoin much more profitable in long term, and if you invest in bitcoin for the long term you will definitely get the reward for it. But on the other hand, bitcoin can be very much risky for people who don't have enough patience to get the profits and always panic sell or sloce the orders, also since the price is moving sharply and hugely in short term, people may lose control and do emotional actions that's why I think investing can be more profitable.

Although Investing is better than trading for begginers but We have to learn more about strategy to earn gain or avoid lose. Because when the investors cant choose the best asset which he want to invest, he will get much lose from his investing. I have felt the moment, when I invest in crypto with following others without knowledge, the result what I got was a bigger lose. I sold ADA for bought AOA, thats really dumb. That looks like I sold a gold just for a shit.
771  Economy / Economics / Re: The first rule of investing is saving on: July 13, 2021, 02:32:14 PM
Investing with debt isn't matter if you can manage ur financial. Credit is one of the ways for investing, for example home credit, property with credit, those are the kind of investing. I dont think that those are bad for our financial instead of those help us to get asset with easiness. But for our notes, when you wanna try to take debt you have to choose for paying productive sector because when you pay investing with debt you should make sure that ur investing can earn passive income.

This is like the worst possible thing to do. If you take out a loan to invest, then the chances are that you will end up with a net loss. Let's consider a scenario. An individual takes out a loan at an interest rate of 12% per year to invest in certain assets. Now he can't invest in bank deposits, because the interest rate will be much lower than what he needs to pay on the loan, and on top of that, he needs to pay tax on that interest income as well. So that option is ruled out. Now comes the other options such as stocks and bullion. 12% return may or may not be possible with the stocks. But remember that taxes need to be paid on capital gains, even in this case. So after the taxes, the individual may be left with a net loss, unless for that year the returns from the stock market is exceptionally high.

There are so many people out there using debt for paying their business, I think that isn't matter, you are right for ur opinion but I dont think that my opion is worst. Almost all chinesse have their own debt for supporting their business, not only them but also Michael Saylor using obligation for buy BTC, I dont think that was a worst decision as a CEO of the popular company.
772  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: Sadarlah, Orang Terkenal Bukan Untuk Kamu Jadikan Pegangan! on: July 13, 2021, 01:28:19 PM

773  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: Sadarlah, Orang Terkenal Bukan Untuk Kamu Jadikan Pegangan! on: July 12, 2021, 04:32:40 PM

774  Economy / Economics / Re: The first rule of investing is saving on: July 12, 2021, 03:36:21 PM
Indeed. If you do want to invest into something that needs to spend money, of course you do need to save and earn money to afford spending. Rather than borrowing money from a bank or to someone you do know, it is still best to spend money on investing that comes from your own hand because if ever such investment fail, then you at least have no debt into someone that you will be hard to pay with. Also, upon doing investment, not all money you have saved must be put in all together. Only invest into the amount you can just ignore or afford to loose in a way you will not get frustrated when you loose such amount.

775  Economy / Economics / Re: Poor and middle class as a mentality on: July 12, 2021, 02:45:59 PM
I concur. As I saw on Facebook, he teaches the beggar how to code (how to create his first app) and then gives him a laptop so he may continue. As a result, he has already uploaded his first program on Google Play, and he now refers to himself as a developer. He claims that it will be approved by Google Adsense in a few months, and he will earn from it. Financial assistance from the government is only temporary unless you have a strong desire to start a small business so that you can earn additional money.

Cash handouts do a great deal of harm in the long run. But as far as I can see, a lot of governments are distributing more and more such handouts nowadays, giving the excuse of COVID. And even those who oppose such handouts in principle will find it hard to reject such payments. In the United States, the Biden regime has unveiled additional spending plans worth more than $6 trillion. Anyone in their right mind would oppose these measures, because it will wreck the economy with high taxes and inflation. But at least in the public, there is hardly any opposition.

I dunno why, but the government is really like to give the society cash handouts. Not only in US, but in my country too. Dont you know that the fact behind of their cash handout is just to cover their corruption. I have read a lot of corruption news, and the proof of their corruption is covered by their social acting exaggerated..
776  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Finals in June 2021! on: July 12, 2021, 01:17:27 PM
My guess is right, if this final goes to penalties then Italy will win. Maybe if I bet I'll have some extra pocket money. Being able to score a goal, England couldn't move before being locked up by Italy. Looks like the title of the host can not help their mental rise. In fact I was amazed by Italy they were able to control the ball and shoot more. Congratulations to Italy , congratulations Giorgio Chiellini this may be your last title for Italy.
Congratulations to italy for winning EURO 2020 at home to England and such a great achievement after returning the goal and sealing the match from England even though in the end the penalty shootout decided the win.

Harry Kane was worse than before why wasn't he more aggressive and Sterling didn't have a lot of gaps and it was more of a lock on the Italian defense to keep targeting England's main players but the defense was really good and it ended up being a win
Senior defenders Bonucci and Cheilini became the key to his success in Italy.

It's very sad for England to have to give up the trophy at home to another team.

I have read a news that president EUFA has said the format of this league is unfair for players and suppoter, as long as this league there are many teams which got discrimination for their travel. EURO 2020 Format which use many countries that contributed is a bad format and EUFA dont want use this format anymore. England which can reach the final is one of the team which got the advantages for this format and their achievement is not strong as Italy team. 6 of 7 matches England at home.
777  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin after the pandemic on: July 11, 2021, 05:06:21 PM
Bitcoin been part of the portfolio of many investors during pandemic when the stock market is too low. Now bitcoin been find useful by many as it can easily be accessible by many and now convenient to use in payment and transfer options. We see how bitcoin is able to increase in price in pandemic so what more when once more adoption happens those who are using now can have more profit in the future.

There are a lot of people that start their investment in crypto, but we should know that crypto investment cant guarantee which is better than stock market or others. Why in the crypto market can give us higher profit than others because if we get loss the amount is higher than stock market. Now there are many bad issue in crypto which made our market is bearish, the price is resistence at 30K USD. I dont know until when the price will go to the top again, the fundamental news is just about the fud. We need some movements to make the market become bullish again.
778  Economy / Economics / Re: Poor and middle class as a mentality on: July 11, 2021, 03:51:31 PM
Poor people mentality is when they have money, they spend it on relaxation and luxury. Unlike middle class, they spend their money wisely. With poor people, they lack enough knowledge on handling their finances and where to put it. They also rely on other people and support from the government unlike middle class, they value their hard earned money. They adopt what they learned in school. They are eager to be wealthy and be comfortable in their lives.

That is not the case on all the occasions. But it is understandable. When someone works really hard to earn money, he will think twice before wasting it. When I was a student, my parents were providing me with financial support. Back then, I used to spend a lot of money on unnecessary things. But now, I have a full time job and I know how hard is it to earn money. Same is the case with the poor people. When they get freebies and handouts from the government, they are careless with those. But when they work hard and earn, they don't waste much of the earnings.

I couldn't agree more with the statement that Don't give cash assistance to poor people because it only adds to poverty in their brains, but provide them with livelihood assistance and ways to make money to support their lives.  Because between giving fish or fishing rods to poor fishermen will be very much different but there are many mistakes that occur in the government, they only focus on providing cash assistance to the community just to cover up the bad government behind the assistance such as corruption in their institutional.
779  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Finals in June 2021! on: July 11, 2021, 02:19:04 PM
I just found this picture on Twitter

[img height=300]https://pbs.twimg.com/media/E58lJWPUcAMUP9w?format=jpg&name=900x900

Almost supporter for Italy, all Europe exception England off course. I don't know why England doesn't have a supporter much, I'm pretty sure my country also Supports Italy like me. I hope they fair to play and present the match without controversy. I'm happy to see the Conmebol final even if I lose in a bet because they present a fair match. I hope the euro final like that too.

I support Italy because they have Inzaghi.

If England can re-name two of their players into Beckham and Overmars, maybe I would support them instead. Nostalgia is kind of my weakness. In fact, I didn't know that England made it to the final game till I read this topic's last page. I didn't even know that the final game was today lol.

I should probably watch this one.

Just wait for several hours to know who will be the champion. There are a lot of people support Italy than England, but there are a lot of possibility for the match. Italy or England, they are the best team for this season. The funny moment when the captaion of Italy moke England why they can entered the semi final just because play at home 6 of 7 matches. Now, I found that John Stones moke back the captain and make the final condition become hotter than before.
780  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat and cryptocurrency on: July 11, 2021, 01:30:43 PM
same concept do happens in crypto and to think that crypto does rely on fiat value too since you do need to convert then it is just basically having that kind of connection after all.
I dont really see the reason on why do try to make things complicated if these both things does have its own usage.

If Fiat or Crypto have same concept, that doesn't mean Crypto can give us independence as he means. We made it complicated, crypto has the same function with fiat. Both of them are just a tool for transaction, or save the value, or even for speculation. If they have their own differences, those are just innovation and characteristic that owned by themselves.
