Well, BTC is going up again, and this is the third time in about a few months. The two previous times it has reached near the 500$ but this time seems it has somewhat less strength...

What are your predictions about how high it will go before dropping a bit again?

i think we have big chance to reach $600 , block halving make bitcoin price more strong...
also the bitcoin hardfork code (increse to 2mb) will be come at middle of this year  Roll Eyes
764  Bitcoin / Press / [2016-02-22] themerkle.com : Is Bitcoin Mining Worth it? on: February 22, 2016, 03:38:51 AM
What is Bitcoin Mining?

Before we delve into the details of whether Bitcoin mining is still a profitable venture for miners in today’s world, we first need to establish a basic understanding of what exactly is meant by Bitcoin mining. Bitcoin mining is the process of receiving bitcoins in return of validating transactions for Bitcoin users. Unfortunately, the Bitcoin network isn’t preceived to be trustworthy as for many the concept of digital currencies is still a mystery.

766  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you store your bitcoins? on: February 22, 2016, 02:37:30 AM
I use offline wallet on protected USB stick with linux OS.
Do you make backups of that stick? I recently had to replace a 3 year old good-brand stick, because it simply stopped working. This stick contained movies, if it was bitcoin it could have been an expensive loss.

I always have multiple copies of the bitcoin in many places. I will not store it in a single place. Too risky.
What is the risky ? if you smart people you will save the backup and use authentication. you can use 1 wallet

i have bad experience with 2fa called authy (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/authy-chrome-extension/fhgenkpocbhhddlgkjnfghpjanffonno ) someone acces my computer using RDP , then i lost my email, bittrex, blockchain and local exchanger acccount.

im shocked only Xapo wallet where using my android wallet as 2fa which is still secure, after it Im using some wallet and i use my number phone as 2fa...
767  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin 'real money' to you? on: February 22, 2016, 02:30:43 AM
bitcoin is real money as US dollar, local currency etc.
you can trade it to other currency, you can use it to pay your electric bill, you can save it for investmen like other currency
768  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin? on: February 22, 2016, 02:20:56 AM
Signature campaigns are so far the best way to earn and grow bitcoins.

Signature campaigns are a good way to 'earn' bitcoins. I think the intention here is that if we have some bitcoins, how to grow them?
you are right, you can produce a bitcoin to join the signature campaign in this forum, and once you get the bitcoin, you can play trading or investments to foster bitcoin that you get from the signature campaign

im earning from signature campaign then trading it with local exchanger , sometimes i trade at huobi with leverage 1:3 so i can take more profit for every trade Smiley
769  Bitcoin / Press / [2016-02-22] Cldmine Cloud Mining Review on: February 22, 2016, 02:03:58 AM
There is no shortage of cloud mining services in the world of Bitcoin and digital currency. However, it is important to keep in mind very few of these services are legitimate, as most of these “businesses” are nothing more than a glorified Ponzi Scheme. Cldmine is no exception in this regard, as this so-called cloud mining company has no positive feedback to speak of. Users need to avoid Cldmine at all costs, as investing in this company will only lead to a loss of funds.

When accessing the Cldmine, the user will be greeted in their native language. Even though this is a very nice touch, it is also the only positive note to make on behalf of the company. Their service offers users a safe and secure cloud mining service, which will return 1.5% of the original investment per day. Such numbers are not sustainable by any means, and are just the first of many warning signs along the way.

778  Bitcoin / Press / [2016-02-18]Gavin Andresen Agrees, Mike Hearn’s Bitcoin Exit ‘a Whiny Ragequit’ on: February 19, 2016, 12:03:24 AM
Bitcoin Developer Mike Hearn’s departure from the project last month created many stories in the mainstream press about how the end of Bitcoin may be near, but pretty much everyone left in the Bitcoin community has disagreed with Hearn’s overall position. The former Google employee, who is perhaps best known for his work on Bitcoinj and Bitcoin XT, claimed that the centralization of development power in Bitcoin Core, the centralization of bitcoin mining in China, and a myriad of other issues led him to come to the conclusion that Bitcoin is a failed experiment.
