Emercoin IncubatorWith the release of the Emercoin research and development lab in different locations of the world, the vision of launching the Emercoin Incubator at the already existing locations is just around the corner. During this two months program, startups that are interested in using blockchain technology for the benefit of their business, as well as developers from established companies are welcome to apply.
In contrast to the research and development lab, the Emercoin Incubator aims at applying knowledge in direct business context and helps startups and established companies to develop suitable distributed blockchain solutions tailored to their business. Graduates share the benefit of having access to the Emercoin Research and Development Lab at no cost for the first year after graduation, as well as having being part of a network of likeminded people that are willing to help you with related problems.
Week 1: Blockchain Fundamentals IntroductionTo be able to create great solutions with Emercoin’s technology, it is crucial to make sure that Emercoin Incubator participants have a solid understanding of the implications and opportunities of blockchain technology.
Week 2: Emercoin Technology IntroductionUniting fundamental blockchain knowledge with Emercoin's technology.
Like receiving a toolkit for building on top of the fundamental blockchain knowledge, the participants are being introduced into Emercoin’s technology features and learn how they can use them for their benefit to create great solutions for their business.
Emercoin's technology features currently include:
SSH: Secure shell management
SSL: Passwordless authentication on the internet
LNX: Decentralized pay per click advertising
DPO: Digital proof of ownership for physical and digital goods & services
DNS: Uncensored domain name system

Week 3: 1st Hackathon In order to achieve the steepest learning curve, it is important to turn the newly acquired knowledge into practical use. For that reason, participants are being formed in groups to work in teams towards a certain use case that builds on top of Emercoin’s technology.
Monday:
Going after the interest and technology focus of you and the other applicants, groups are being formed.
Within each group, you brainstorm ideas for building an MVP (minimum viable product) on top of Emercoin technology and decide upon one MVP per group.
Tuesday to Friday:
Group Hacking:
Working in teams under guidance of Emercoin developers, you are surrounded by the best environment to help you succeed on realizing your MVP. During this period, you strengthen important core concept knowledge and internalise important knowledge that is beneficial for going forward.
Week 4: Hackathon Results & Concept FormulationMonday:
The week starts by evaluating and reflecting upon the results of the hackathon to help strengthening and building on top of acquired knowledge.
Tuesday – Friday:
Concept formulation of how the applicant wants to integrate Emercoin technology into his or her business. Together with Emercoin team members, participants are being assisted on how they can benefit from integrating Emercoin technology into their business.
The concept will be the underlying roadmap and blueprint for the next upcoming project focused hackathon to help the participants stay focused and work towards a self-imposed goal.
Week 5 - 8: 2nd Hackathon: Project FocusThis is the major part of the Emercoin Incubator.
After having formulated the concept for his or her use case of Emercoin technology, the participant has four weeks to work goal oriented towards his or her concept implementation for Emercoin technology into his or her business model.
During the whole hackathon, the participants benefit from being surrounded by likeminded peers as well as receiving support from Emercoin team members, enabling fast, professional support and guidance when needed.
Each Friday, progress of each project is being presented and discussed in front of the crowd, enabling valuable feedback from peers to ultimately improve the overall results of the hackathon for the applicants.
