761  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: February 27, 2024, 12:11:24 AM
I might regret this bet on the Pistons later. Even though they're one of the worst teams, I still like their chances of covering the spread against the Knicks.

They should lose this game, but i'm banking on them to have a good start and hold in the second half since the Knicks are usually getting outscored in the first half.

Also, BOL on your Raptors and Pacers bets. It's fishy when the Pacers have been doing okay while the Raptors are only given 4-5 points.
762  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling games that gives you an exciting experience on: February 26, 2024, 10:46:08 PM
What is your favorite gambling game and what are the reasons that made you prefer it over the rest?
If sports betting is included, I would put it at the top. It doesn't fail to give me that consistent enjoyment because too many things change from every league (players, rules, schedule, format, etc) once the regular season ends. Those changes could make the league more competitive and sometimes unpredictable to spice up things up in the next season.

Aside from that, I would put live table games as my second best only because I always enjoy playing a few rounds of blackjack or baccarat (sometimes the interaction with the dealer can be interesting). If i'm on the losing end, it doesn't feel too bad compared to other casino games.

Girona has some good enough odds at home after dropping their form in their last three matches. They should be back to winning when Rayo Vallecano isn't as impressive compared to the other teams they've faced recently and hopefully, they shouldn't be too shaken up from their recent losses/draw.

We also have a daily special for the EPL match (Brentford vs. West Ham), but it's tough to pick a side when both of them are struggling.
764  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Buying and Selling of Casino Accounts (Discussion thread) on: February 26, 2024, 02:38:51 AM
But why do people buy a gambling account in the fist place? I hear that some criminals buy bank accounts but why do they buy Casino account?
It's like a shortcut for some gamblers to gain better bonuses and bypass restrictions because there are gambling sites that can restrict accounts from future promotions once they see you try to abuse their promotions even once.

It's also an option to avoid going through the hassle of KYC, even though non-KYC gambling sites exist, there are KYC casinos that are simply a cut above the rest.
765  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The odds we can get on our side. on: February 26, 2024, 01:54:56 AM
4. Consider the motivation of players and teams within the tournament. I'm talking about matches where a team or player can afford to lose without much consequence to their place. That is, there are significant matches, and there are those that do not decide anything. In such matches, teams and players do not have much motivation to play.
This method can help, but it can still go both ways because even if a team doesn't have anything to play, they could still pull an upset to end their season on a high note while the other team that needs to win could crumble through the immense pressure to win.

One method i'd like to add to that list is live betting on favorites. You can secure better odds through live betting on a few favorites if you know they have a slow playstyle. Even though it doesn't work every time, it's still a decent alternative if you're very confident in a team that usually delivers on the later half of the match.

Yes, its currently on groupstage. Just like to ask about DPC points, is it already been removed?
Unfortunately, DPC points aren't a thing anymore after Valve stepped down from hosting DPC tournaments and passed it all down to the third-party organizers to create their point system.

I won't be surprised of Aurora will have a deep run this DreamLeague season.
It's nice to see them do well after the first day, but it's still too early to say since they'll get to face much better teams in the next few days.
767  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Phase Or Are You Slowing Down Your Gambling Activity When.... on: February 26, 2024, 12:23:23 AM
I never thought about this, i just gamble when i feel like it, no matter what's the occasion since you can just open your phone/computer to bet.
I also don't tone down my gambling activities only because of the upcoming holidays. I still take breaks, and it mostly depends on my current situation, as sometimes you can't avoid those times when it's starting to feel like you're overdoing a certain activity.

It's still a good way to take a step back if you need a reason to do so since it's one of the rare days of the year when you can shift your focus to something else.
768  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: February 25, 2024, 02:45:38 PM
Mlb season starts soon and sportsbet has a really nice season long promo
That's a decent promo for betting on underdogs, but they might only be available for certain countries since I can't see the promo page on my end after clicking the link.

There's also a daily special for the EFL final between Chelsea and Liverpool. This would've been more favored for Liverpool if it was an EPL match.

Captaining Watkins will give me ~10 points differential against most of you that went with Haaland and that should compensate a bit.
I did the same with Watkins and it feels great to climb a few spots after continuously going down the ranks these past few rounds.

I was also forced to use my free hit because of the postponed match between Chelsea and Spurs, but I failed to take advantage of it, as I only gained a few points.

I just should have trusted my instinct, that's 18 points + 2 bonus points for Richards and 15 more for Douglas Luiz whom I left on the bench Sad
Andersen and Johnstone as well for a combined 30 points, that's a ton of bench points to miss out on.  Lips sealed

I think Im going to regret this and tbh, I've been losing like alot in dota2 ever since this year and it makes me totally lost interest in betting it lol. For some reason I've been doing pretty okay on cs2 although I dont really watch most of the games
Congrats on your XG ticket and i'm in the same boat with my Dota bets, i've always had more losses because of the trap odds. While in CS2, I got a few nice wins, mainly from Team Spirit during their clean IEM run and betting against some of the weaker teams in the RMR tournament.

But GamerLegion's result was unexpected for me. Because they completed the Paris Major as 2nd but now they couldn't even get past RMR stage.  Sad
That's because GamerLegion had a downgrade after the major. They lost their two best players in the team, iM got picked up by Navi and their former IGL siuhy is now playing for Mouz.
772  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the highest amount of money you've ever bet in a single game? on: February 25, 2024, 01:08:31 AM
1. What is the highest amount of money you've bet on a single game in the past?
2. Did you win or lose that game?
3. Was it an amount you were actually ready to comfortably lose?
I couldn't recall the exact amount, but I know the highest amount i've risked in a single bet was around the hundreds ($200-$500) and it was for an esports match. It reached that point because my bankroll grew so much after a perfect week with only a few losses. My bet won, and it was close as the team was only slight favorites by the bookies.

It's an amount that i'm not prepared to lose, and I only pulled that risky move because it was mostly made up of my wins. There's always that confidence building up once you start winning a lot and it pushed me to place one of the biggest bets that could've made a big hole in my bankroll.
773  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A lot of gambling sites are scams ! on: February 25, 2024, 12:36:49 AM
How can I choose the best betting site that provides me with a safe betting experience?
Does this site provide a high level of safety for its players?
I need help from those with experience in this field
One of the best and fastest ways to find the best casinos is through review sites, which was already suggested by a couple of posts above me.

The safety level of some of the best casinos is usually good enough and is less of an issue because they're always cautious in storing information and funds. If you still have doubts, it's better to form a backup plan, like spreading your funds through different casinos. It's a bit of a hassle at the start, as you'll have to create several accounts, but it'll pay off once you can add an extra layer to securing your gambling funds.
774  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Outcomes of insighting gambling for a source of income. on: February 25, 2024, 12:04:17 AM
That reminds me of an old story where an owner of a well-known business gambled the remaining portion of their funds in hopes of avoiding bankruptcy and it paid off once their bets ended up winning.

I never see gambling as a bad activity unless you gives yourself up to it in controlling your emotions. So I think these two guys knew they were at the wrong side of it that is why they never wanted me to know they were into gambling.
If it's an idea expected to fail, they most likely thought you'd try to stop them, and maybe that's why they kept it a secret. It might've been a different story if he won, but still relying on luck, specifically through gambling, always backfires.

I am looking at ramzes profile, I haven't heard that he has parted ways with 9pandas but that seems so.
It happened during the offseason after TI and it was probably overshadowed by the other big players since there were too many roster shuffles at the time.

Surprisingly zai is back, but he's only behind the scenes now that Tundra took him in to fill the manager position.

I don't understand why ramzes has to stand on his own and build a new team with set of new and unknown players. I think he's a good mentor to them but if it's with this kind of tournament, he should be in a better team with better players.
That roster was probably formed at the last minute as they're one of the many teams that got invited, and with decent prize money, it's usually better to field a team than to withdraw from the tournament.

That's a nice temporary boost for Falcons, even though it's only for the Blast Spring Showdown.

I've stumbled upon a tournament in SEA for Dota 2 named RES - Regional Series SEA #1.

IHC and Talon esports are the ones that have fought at the grand finals and it's just a best of 3 series game. Talon Esports made 2-0 against IHC and took home $25k prize as the champ.

There's this point that they've won too which is 100 but I don't understand for what it is. Maybe RES globally?
I guess they'll have a leaderboard similar to what ESL has done with their EPT leaderboard, where teams that accumulated the most points through smaller tournaments would eventually be qualified in bigger tournaments.

It's like the leaderboards for tier 2 teams, but there's not much info on the tournaments or the points system. I only found some clues because they're also organizing tournaments in CS2, specifically the CCT online tournaments.
779  Other / Off-topic / Re: Don’t play gambling with drugs or in half sleep on: February 22, 2024, 12:09:02 AM
That's a recipe for disaster gambling, and drugs shouldn't be used together unless he doesn't mind losing the last bit of control he has while gambling.

Playing in the morning half awake shouldn't be a big problem because if you can control your emotions and accept your loss, then it shouldn't affect you for the rest of your day.

Doesnt matter whether you are influenced by drugs, playing early morning, being drunk or whatsoever things that happening on you. There's no way that it would really be able to
affect out someones luck on the time that you do play gambling specially when you are dealing with luck based games.
I'd still say it matters because playing in a stable condition could impact his decision-making. OP's friend might still lose from the house edge of casino games, but it's better to gamble without other factors affecting your session and have a clear plan on what to do once he starts winning.
780  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Couple won the jackpot but split soon after! on: February 21, 2024, 04:52:54 PM
Have you ever tried something like this situation before?
So what is your thoughts on this, 50/50 good for you or nah?
Will you insist to have an ego battle if you are on the same situation?
What are the things you would do to resolve the issue?
I've never tried sharing a bet with someone before, and I wouldn't let it happen. Splitting the jackpot would be the best case for both sides, but it's understandable why it only went to one person.

I'd let it go instead of having a confrontation where it won't change the situation, knowing she owns the ticket. My way of fixing the issue is to give the guy a smaller chunk of the jackpot and call it a day since splitting the money is already out of the picture.
