Saudi Arabia’s mass execution of 47 men on terrorism charges has unleashed anger at home and beyond.

Prominent Shi’ite cleric Nimr al-Nimr was amongst those executed on Saturday.

The Saudi embassy in the capital of mainly Shi’ite Iran was stormed by protesters, who ransacked the offices and started fires in the building.

Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamanei condemned Saudi Arabia for the second day on Sunday (January 3) saying politicians in the Sunni kingdom would face divine retribution for the cleric’s death.

The two regional rivals were already at odds with each other over an ongoing conflict in Yemen where Saudi-led fighters are battling against the Iran-backed Houthi rebel movement.

Crowds of Shi’ite Muslims marched through Saudi Arabia’s majority Shi’ite Qatif district to protest against the cleric’s execution.

Al-Nimr was convicted after a political and grossly unfair trial, according to Amnesty International.

The Saudi cleric was described as a thorn in the side of the Saudi authorities, an outspoken and long-standing critic of the kingdom’s discriminatory policies against its Shi’ite minority.

He was executed along with three other Shi’ites and dozens of Sunni jihadists.

the price nowadays is the double of the price in last September , so miners did not stop when the bitcoin price reached $200 So WHY will stop them when the halving happen with current price ? it will be the same as 25 btc in Sep 2015 = 12.5 btc now in price

one of the most profitable ways is altcoins trading. although it is so risky but it is possible to double your btc in one trade only and in few hours. but you have first to choose a trustworthy exchange which has great reputation.

When compared to bitcoin, it's pretty easy to explain 3D printing to someone.  We’re all quite familiar with 2D printing, so the concept isn't that abstract. In contrast, few people are intimately familiar with how the financial system works, so they don't see much of a need for bitcoin. This backdrop simply requires more airtime to explain.

ISTANBUL — Turkey issued a statement on Friday saying that comments by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan — in which he cited Hitler in response to a question about whether a strong presidency was possible in Turkey — had been misinterpreted.

Mr. Erdogan, who is pushing to imbue the largely ceremonial presidency with sweeping executive powers, told reporters late Thursday that “there are already examples in the world.”

“You can see it when you look at Hitler’s Germany,” he said.

Mr. Erdogan did not elaborate, but his comparison to Hitler drew immediate criticism because of what many view as his increasing authoritarianism. His comment also raised the issue of how the leader of one of the world’s most influential countries, an American ally and member of NATO, would mention Hitler in the context of his own tenure.

On Friday, the office of the presidency said that “Erdogan’s ‘Hitler’s Germany metaphor’ has been distorted by media outlets and has been used in the opposite sense.”

It said Mr. Erdogan had used the example to demonstrate that an executive presidency does not depend on a federal system of government.


“If the system is abused, it may lead to bad management resulting in disasters as in Hitler’s Germany,” the statement said. “The important thing is to pursue fair management that serves the nation.”

A gunman opened fire on a popular bar and other shops in the center of Tel Aviv on Friday afternoon, killing two people and wounding at least seven others. The assault created mayhem along a busy street and led to an intense manhunt by the authorities. The suspect was still at large late Friday.

"The naval forces of the Guards have not had any exercises in the Strait of Hormuz during the past week and the period claimed by the Americans for them to have launched missiles and rockets," the Revolutionary Guards website quoted Ramezan Sharif, the Guard's spokesman, as saying.
"The publication of such false news under the present circumstances is akin to psychological warfare," Sharif said.
NBC News, citing unnamed U.S. military officials, said the Guards were conducting a live-fire exercise and the Truman came within about 1,500 yards (meters) of a rocket.

Prosecutors in Bosnia have charged a former member of the presidency and three other men with war crimes involving killing, torture and forcible deportation of civilians during the country's 1992-95 war.

Borislav Paravac, who served as the Serb member of Bosnia's tripartite presidency from 2003 to 2006, is accused of "willing and active" participation in deportation, looting, beatings, torture and killing of non-Serb civilians near the northern towns of Doboj and Teslic, prosecutors said Thursday.

The crimes were part of a "wide-spread and systematic attack" by Serb forces aimed at permanent removal of non-Serbs from the area.

Some 100,000 people were killed during the Bosnian war in which Bosnian Serb forces attempted to empty a large part of the country of its non-Serb population to create a homogenous Serb territory.
