mailing them a check has worked for me several times. Don't know about Postal Money Order...

I love to see these large purchases with this kind of slippage. Is very likely that these coins are leaving a traders hands and moving into a medium to long term investors' -- someone who does not care about 1 to 3 percentage points. Especially an early-week purchase -- funds hit the exchange, so buy the coins. Sure a trader could do this to try to spark a rally, but that's a VERY dangerous game; a lot more dangerous with a lot less upside then just buying at 65 to 75 and holding for a few days Something else to think about: We dropped to 65 and then right back where we started at 100+. Did ANY money leave Gox AT ALL? Or was this all just long-term bull traders trying to outfox each other?

its interesting to see this rally with significant volume on major price rises. I don't think we've seen that so consistently since the run up to 266

Hope all you newbie doomsayers got back in! If not, well welcome to bitcoin and thanks for your coins. Trading here requires a steady hand; its not for the faint of heart. You can choose low volatility and inflation (USD), or high volatility and deflation (BTC) I'm sure all those "weak hands" who sold out at $200+ are kicking themselves now. Hmm... I was more referring to the action of the past few weeks where these forums seemed so bearish even in the face of lots of positive developments.

"Trying to escape"? Through a process that takes more then a year? You are a child in the art of FUD. More like: countdown to the next monster bubble: 364 days

You registered your company in December last year. With such a short time in business I would like to see more. Companies often also provide bios of key members, for example. Also, you could indicate whether an item is in stock and how long until it ships... It is great to see another PM vendor that accepts bitcoin, keep up the good work!

|
|
You should post your company address, a link to your corporate registration, and who you are (your name and bio) in your "about us" page. I won't send any bitcoin unless I know who I'm dealing with...

Are we really calling these guys whales at $1500-$5000??
over 40k coins changed hands. That's $4 million bucks
|

50 BTC moves the market 5 bucks :-)
Looks like bull and bear sentiment is diverging -- some whales REALLY think we're going up, some REALLY think we are going down. I don't believe a single player is manipulating both sides -- too expensive

Why'd you put that in such small print? Crow does not taste good my friend. I have to eat it in very small bites :-)

Mtux says Mizuho Bank's automated wire transfer API is broken right now. Wires can only be sent out manually by Mizuho. Gox is opening accounts at other banks, which should drastically improve USD withdrawal times and bypass the technical problems at Mizuho. This process should take around 2 weeks.
LOL W(hy)TF didn't Mt. Gox just put THAT info in the press release? They seem to love crafting press releases designed to maximize panic.

Wall at 106.02 which I hope gets eaten. My ideal entry point with good profit is 105.5 You're playing a very dangerous game, for sure. Hardly, I'm betting a percentage of the profits from purchasing at 100. Besides, we are just about to watch it fall. really? Is your monitor upside down

I dont think that even one cvprus citizen bought a bitcoin. When they seized your bucks the last think you want to do is put yourlast coins in a highly speculative market like btc is. Dont buy the press. I read the press that in Argentina we re almost paying in the supermarket with bitcoins because our outrageous crisis. None of them is true too.
BTC will really rise if it gets into the real economy (starbucks, real estate, restaurantes...) accepting it. This is why for me the new start ups that are now being funded are the real middle-term very good news.
Once cyprus happened it was too late (for them). Think about it. Who will trade BTC (or gold) for the Argentine peso? Only people who plan to spend them right away (tourists). Its good to buy gas before your car goes dry... I don't think you're likely to be able to use your BTC stash to buy groceries at the corner store in this round of Argentine fiscal disaster. But you'll be the only person on your block who can buy anything over the Internet from China, Europe, or the USA. (Unless you guys have got a lot of USD squirreled away)
