761  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: OMG !!!!! You BitCoin people were right. I wish I had bought back in March :( on: December 21, 2020, 06:53:33 PM
Except you are just trying to make a thread, what have you been doing in this forum since you join last year July, I will always newbie in the Forum to buy bitcoin and Ethereum while they learn, the risk at that time was so low and will save the time spent on learning. You were not learning and making right decision since you been here. It is not about buying a whole bitcoin or more at a time, you can buy in trickles has the excess money shows up. At $22K, you can still make 5x from here.
762  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH high gas fee on: December 21, 2020, 06:46:08 PM
Until eth versi2 is fully realized we will definitely see high gas continuously. this will stop when the post starts operating. but don't know the exact date, I have seen eth version2 run early last month but it seems like it is taking a while to fully run.
The 3 phases will take at least 3 years before completion. The mistake from Ethereum classic is what they want to prevent. Thorough test will be engaged after each phase and users will be allowed to adjust to the changes on the blockchain, the aim is security and stability of the new blockchain. The result of the upgrade will determine the future of the blockchain and success will be remarkable for the space.
763  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XCARD]✅Spend Anywhere, Any Cryptocurrency, With Any Payment Card🔛💲💳✅ on: December 21, 2020, 05:14:26 PM
Seriously? I've taken a look at this since i am interested on any debit card solutions. But their telegram is dead, and from what i gather looks like they didn't pay even for bounty hunters either. So why sould investors trust them to deliver either?
Wojciech has track record in crypto although not an outstanding one because it was more like I take over from existing business. He made his money elsewhere and found crypto very lucrative at the moment. Have followed Xcard from the onset, over 2 years and I hope they could deliver on their promises to prove doubter wrong. Some of this project are trying to get the timing right to enjoy the hype of the bull market and get enough fund to push the project through the bull market.

New roadmap: www.mobilum.com
where widget can be found on: www.mobilum.com/buy

Quote

WHAT HAPPENED TO XCARD
Mobilum is the entity behind XCARD and XCARD will be a product of Mobilum with the XCARD Wallet to be released within the next fortnight following by issuance of XCARD credit and debit cards in 2021.
The current marketplace is one in need of products and services that can bring actual usage to their demographics as opposed to ideas only. Therefore, we took a step back and analysed our position and offering, finally deciding to restructure under Mobilum and bring all our offerings under one name.

WHAT’S TO COME
Mobilum is starting implementation of the widget in a small group of projects and exchanges to begin with. The focus at the moment is on raising funds for Mobilum through the sale of our native MBM tokens and private funding through sale of equity in Mobilum.
This will allow Mobilum to fast track their development and bring the offering to users across the globe with a planned 173 supported currencies in our widget to be implemented by Q2 2021 and the roll out of both credit and debit cards.
765  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [IEO] ⚡AMEPAY- Crypto ⇌ Retail. IEO in BKEX + Listing in Bithumb Global 🔥 on: December 20, 2020, 05:32:51 PM
What is the expected dilution rate after exchange listing especially in the 2nd exchange?
I noticed the project is ignoring DEX trading for now, can it come up in the future?
I somehow seek project to acquire partners in relevant forms to the project, Does Amepay have anyone now or in the pipeline? Any certification acquired?
766  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Money laundering via BTC on: December 20, 2020, 12:29:08 PM
Governments are using the cryptography research teams to track the BTC transaction, so Govs are very much aware of this and trying to stop money laundering through BTC.
Is it only the Government that have access to this tool to track BTC transactions? Not even the exchanges and security agencies?
767  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] dfinance - A Non-Code Platform for Decentralized Trading Instruments on: December 20, 2020, 12:20:55 PM
I am part of the first bounty of Oikos I do like their project I am late in getting back in Oikos but I am now on this project and things are looking good for this project I hope they will get the same success like Oikos is enjoying right now.
This is the second DeFi bounty I'm in and it feels good to be part of the bounty campaign.
oikos and dfinance are completely different projects, read the project documentation. It is not entirely correct to compare them.Dfinance more interesting.
I will always prefer an ETH defi to Tron defi most importantly because of the access to DEX trade, however, some tron defi have done very well this year. Oikos is really struggling after listing in over 4 exchanges. I wish XFI succeed in the delivery of its roadmap, I also think they could achieve a lot before the dilution of at least 50% of the token.
768  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Take Profits in BTC or USDT on: December 19, 2020, 09:21:00 PM
This forum spent more time on Bitcoin and Ethereum than the new projects in Announcement section in previous years, I think this topic is right now. Bitcoin should loss its market dominance when altcoin season resume, Ethereum will regain its dominance but may not be like in previous year, So it will be smart to move to Ethereum as bitcoin loses dominance maybe to achieve 0.1 btc, at this price buy back bitcoin.
769  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Values of Bitcoin & Altcoin are correlated on: December 19, 2020, 09:04:31 PM
Frequent rise of this topic is as a result of the trend in the bear, new traders seem not to understand how it could change for Altcoin to pump after bitcoin pump. Most of the altcoins maximalist I know are now sole bitcoin maximalist due to their size of fund in bitcoin and I can say they made most of this bitcoin from altseason. Not all altcoins will pump in the altseason and this market will different for altcoin due its bigger size in this market. We like to believe retail investors will put fund altcoins but I like to believe the market cycle has an influence that control the trend irrespective of sentiment
770  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Brave Browser The Newest Favorite Among All Browser on: December 19, 2020, 02:06:35 PM
i was a brave user i think a year or two now i like them more than google chrome since i think they are more faster than google chrome and they block some of the ads and lastly of course they are crypto friendly and they reward you some brave token from time to time.
what do you mean by crypto-friendly?
771  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Software wallet analysis by Veriphi on: December 19, 2020, 01:33:02 PM
How come hardware wallets like Trezor and Ledger are not recommended? they are making some desktop/mobile wallets look like a better option.

Also not sure what do they mean when they say that Trezor has bad privacy? as it's always possible to run Blockbook and connect the wallet to your own node.
Probably because not everyone can afford a hardware wallet? I can afford one myself but I'm not using laptop to connect the hardware wallet with to make some transactions or is there any hardware wallet that can make transactions without connecting to the internet? I don't think there is one right now.
He stated that the article is not about the hardwallet, just software but we see quite a few mentioned there. He mentioned the weakness with software wallet but not the hardwallet, we all know hardware wallet is not absolutely secure offline, can be destroyed with water, forces, fire etc nothing anonymity and sovereignty. Another difference between last year and now is the improved availability of hardware wallet and we also have cheaper brands.
772  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC reached another ATH, what about ETH? on: December 18, 2020, 11:20:35 AM
ETH will likely hit an All-Time-High by 2021. I believe that a mighty altcoin like ETH and some other top-ranking altcoins will also follow the price increase. Usually, I see if Bitcoin goes up, it will be followed by some of the mighty altcoins. So in my opinion, if 2021 bitcoin hits $ 30K, then ETH will also hit the new ATH value.

To reach ATH Ethereum must double its price. You really think this is possible? Look how I see it - back in past ATH was reached due to popularity of ICO and Ethereum did not have big competitors. Now ICOs are not so popular, neither projects use Ethereum blockchain by default for development. Instead some create their own. That is minus one "price pusher". Regular transaction fees issues also play negatively on Ethereum.
I think Bitcoin will reach $30k quicker and possibility to reach it is greater, than we would see Ethereum's new all time high. Even though my portfolio on 2/3 consist of ETH.
ICO had stopped for over 2 years now and Ethereum had recover from the dip of $80. ICO was seen as the top utility then but Defi has grown with over $10 billion locked in it, most USDT are on ethereum with over $15 billion marketcap, top decentralized exchanges are for ethereum blockchain and have the top trading volume which are not fake beside Binance. Some people say ICO is coming back but I dont see it in the size of 2017. Bitcoin is the king and the money while Ethereum fend the money for bitcoin. Those manipulating the market know what they are doing and I believe they can still decide where the market goes for even the institutions.
773  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC reached another ATH, what about ETH? on: December 18, 2020, 10:26:53 AM
How exactly have we been looking at Eth in the past 1 year? It has made over 500% profit for investors in a year whereas Bitcoin just made over 300% profit. we expect Ethereum to make the highest transaction in history of all coin this year at over $1 trillion. I love both coins and I am learning how to maximize the profit from this market. If bitcoin price movement slows down ethereum is likely to pick up from there, the idea is to make the whole 2021 exciting and profitable if one is well positioned.
774  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: South America University, set to adopt crypto topics on brand new specialization on: December 18, 2020, 10:13:50 AM
It is no new that many Universities are beginning to adopt crypto (blockchain & bitcoin) education into their academic curriculum, and the adaptation of crypto education will soon commence in some large south American Universities,
We all know the saying "blockchain is open for everyone", but the manner of specific attention given to this crypto education is unique, not everyone is entitled to this course except the following a complete degree in engineering, mathematics, graduate from any physical mathematical science etc .

Source: https://news.bitcoin.com/major-latin-american-university-launches-specialization-featuring-crypto-related-topics/

Is it right for only most people in the university to be educated about crypto or is this just a test run from the school management to see how it turns out?

Except for certification, education has gone beyond the 4-wall of classes. Online education has help interested student around the world and access to this information 24 hours can help devotion in secluded area. Classes has not produced most computer literate around and I think cryptocurrency will more easier for anyone as the computer education. The understanding most people need about cryptocurrency is the security of fund, exchange of fund and other financial implications involved in making decision.
775  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where DeFi is headed on: December 18, 2020, 10:04:00 AM
we should be reminded that not only altcoins are locked in Defi, Bitcoin also does, although had fallen during recent market run with about 25k btc. Ethereum Defi still retain the 1%+ of its token locked in its Defi. The onground financial institutions with Defi are considering institutional lending at fixed rate with sensible collateral, which should be a thrive leverage for financial ecosystem. Defi has attain new height of fund store in last few hours
776  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Accidentally sent USDT to bitcoin address - supposedly recoverable? on: December 17, 2020, 09:22:18 PM
I think transaction from non bitcoin wallet will not go through to a bitcoin address, correct me if am wrong. Most USDT coins are on ethereum blockchain or  Tron, most times my transaction are rejected, so how did this go through?
777  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who said that ICOs are dead? on: December 17, 2020, 08:03:30 PM
I am really expecting surprises with this talk around ICOs, It is a very difficult prediction of is comeback but we have had some ICO this year and I can say they were all with good valuation. Another factors that affect the ICOs this year is the bad world economy and pandemic. Some really made good money from Defi, bitcoin etc but new small investors could not participate in crowdfund like in previous. We had more huge successful private sale than public sale this year
778  Economy / Speculation / Re: $25,000 can be achieved by end of year? Or January 2021? on: December 17, 2020, 08:02:55 AM
Any price is possible from the present price below $40k, the challenge is the short days in the year to expect such a massive move. At the same time we can see correction from any price soon. Lets enjoy the sight of our investment adding value and pick more from the dump cause the sentiment for upward moment is back, the waiting is over.
779  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How high do you see Ethereum going this market cycle? on: December 17, 2020, 07:58:57 AM
I will first look at it in term of bitcoin value before the parabolic. At the moment except for the staking Ethereum has nothing or news to drive the price. We only rely on Utility use e.g Defi, transaction fee, smart contract etc that has always been. The staking will make the coin scarce, Over 1% of ethereum is staked at the moment. I expect Ethereum to climb toward 0.1btc (2500+) in the first part of the year and probably make a higher climb after the parabolic market towards 0.15btc (20000+).
