761  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: October 29, 2019, 05:21:59 PM
He has been banned from all forms of cricket for the next two years (with one year suspended). He is already 32 years old, and this could possibly mean that his international cricketing career is over for all practical purposes. Staying away from the game for 12 months and then attempting a comeback is not something very easy to do. It looks like he will be looking at other career options in the meantime. BTW, more than Shakib, this is going to have a negative impact on the performance of the Bangladesh team. They badly needed him now.
Damn that is so fast, i thought he was selected in the team for their Indian tour and now he is banned for corruption, it is real bad for the Bangladesh team as he was their best players ever and this ban looks like his career as a cricketer is over, the dispute with the BCB and now the ban things are fishy as hell regarding the circumstances but he needs to spend a lot of money to prove his innocence.
He has agreed that some bookies contacted him for match fixing. The problem he facing is, this has to be reported to the International Cricket Council. He didn't do that, and now for this reason he has been banned from the cricket team for two years. I don't think he'll get back to form if he gets into the playing eleven after two years.
762  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC 20,000 USD by the year end. on: October 29, 2019, 04:06:06 PM
I think people are getting overly bullish again because it's November again which in the past (except 2018) was proved to always be a bullish month. And the fact that the Xi comments have sent us from 7300 to 10600 in a few hours people are already expecting new ATH to form.

If you want to see what the general market thinks just go look at the Deribit options for the year end expiry. Currently there is a premium of about $55 and the Bitmex futures for Dec expiry only has a $125 premium currently from the spot market, hence very low probability.

There is a large premium for the $10000 and $11000 options however which implies that sometime before the end of the year we might reach at least $12K or maybe $12.5K but $20k is way too far fetched in my opinion.

Meh, Bitmex sentiment ain't everything.

I don't sense that people are overly bullish. On the contrary, I sense a lot of skepticism and unwillingness to buy back. Regarding the November factor, I think last November's crash is still fresh in people's minds. Recency bias is a bitch that way.

Last week, most traders probably thought $10K by end of year was out of the question. Let's see what else the honey badger has in store this year. Smiley
Yes, now people aren't much into buying back thinking of the previous year market change that happened within a very short. Until last week the speculations were mostly about the drop in the price of bitcoin losing momentum at some price point. After the present growth the market speculations have turned towards the bullish trend. With the ongoing market growth the chances for $20000 is highly possible.
763  Economy / Economics / Re: Don't spend bitcoin. Not now. on: October 29, 2019, 03:12:53 PM
Don't spend bitcoin, this is mentioned based on the growth happening with bitcoin. In reality for a better and bigger move forward there is a need for direct spending of bitcoin. As of now the usage is very limited, and priority is given as an investment. Somehow there is circulation happening around, and in future we can expect the spending to happen much more than the present leading to its perfect use as an alternate to fiat transactions.
764  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are there any applications on Mobile to trade crypto? on: October 29, 2019, 02:26:10 PM
I’m rather curious about what are the best Crypto sites to trade Cryptocurrency & if they have a mobile application because my PC has broken down recently and I currently have only my smartphone (iPhone) with me right now that I can use in order to trade cryptocurrency.
Almost each and every exchange have got their mobile application. This gives the anywhere access to trading, and the same is possible without any issues. I have been using Binance and hitbtc in the beta version. Both functions perfect and this is quite good for traders who can't spend a lot of time infront of the PC
765  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Buyers Club on: October 28, 2019, 10:30:40 PM
What Op has done can be done individually. For a regular investment purpose there is no need for a club. Maybe through this club one can get to communicate and share information related to the market trend and everything associated with cryptocurrency. Clubs have a big role in promoting services, and in such a way these buyers clubs too could contribute in the promotional process of bitcoin.
766  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: October 28, 2019, 09:54:58 PM
Today there was a statement from Nazmul Hassan (president of the Bangladesh Cricket Board). He hinted that Shakib Al Hasan may miss the upcoming Indian tour. The team will be leaving in two days time, so I don't think that Shakib is left with many options. In case Shakib is left out of the squad, then the playing XI will be very much weakened. Already they are missing two big names (Mohammad Saifuddin and Tamim Iqbal).
It is just a statement just to put pressure on Shakib Al Hasan because if the Bangladesh cricket wanted to avoid him from the team they could have already done that but instead picking him in the team and then voicing their opinion that he could miss the tour does not make any sense other than making news headline and putting pressure on the player. If he is not in the team then it will create a big void in their performance because even with Shakib in the team there is no chance for Bangladesh.
It is a way to give pressure to the player and make him take responsibility. He is one that has helped Bangladesh win several matches. He also got good record against India compared to other players of the squad. Another thing India is strong to face any team, but India will have fear playing against Bangladesh. Once they won against India and that day was declared national holiday in Bangladesh which caused big criticism over India.
767  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do we still expect a repeat of 2017 ? on: October 28, 2019, 09:24:26 PM
tbh i have no idea. i'm a trend trader---i keep betting trends until they end. all i know is bitcoin is in a decade-long bull trend and hasn't shown any signs of stopping yet. so i'll keep hodling.

Yep, that's the consensus. But not until late 2020 or 2021. Can't have a 50-100x bull run every year.

it's the consensus among bitcoin permabulls---that's it. most of the world is still fairly skeptical. if the global consensus was that bitcoin was gonna bubble next year, i'd be preparing for a crash instead.
Prepared for the crash is always the best choice when we think about the cryptocurrency market. We don't know what will be the market of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies tomorrow. It can give a repeat of 2017, or it can react completely opposite. By this time if we've prepared for a bull trend and things happen opposite to the prediction our portfolio gets collapsed. If we're planned for crash as the above user we can withstand any market conditions.
768  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First Time in Bangladesh on: October 28, 2019, 08:57:56 PM
I just saw a news that yesterday  Brac Bank Talking  about blockchain technology and they also working to legal blockchain technology.Maybe this is the first time any Bank in Bangladesh talking about blockchain.Though few months ago Bangladeshi PM told that blockchain technology will be legal soon. Now just waiting for confirmation that bitcoin (blockchain) is accepted.Because we faced many problem to use btc, even few people arrested.also in 2018 one people scammed me 4-5.5K$ worth of crypto currency.who live in Bangladesh. Even he scammed maybe more than 300k$ from 20-30 peoples.Though i have all kind of proof but i didn’t take any steps because crypto is illegal.I didn't take any steps.because police can arrest me for using bitcoin.

News source:  https://www.thedailystar.net/business/news/pri-brac-bank-workshop-focuses-blockchain-sme-1819279?amp
From all that you've mentioned it looks like Bangladesh is moving forward with something positive about the blockchain technology. This needs to get legal usage access for bitcoin, there are countries where blockchain usage is found high while they've got restrictions on cryptocurrency usage. Anyhow acceptance of blockchain technology itself a big recognition for people who have been facing hard days of arrest and other hard punishments for using bitcoin.
769  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does the discipline help in gambling? on: October 25, 2019, 11:37:39 PM
Being disciplined is not gonna get you anything in gambling. You're lucky, you'll win and if not you get your wallet emptied. Maybe if you are a self motivated person you can keep yourself strong on losing and keep yourself into control on winning. This is where most common mistakes happen and causes frustration, depression, stress and all other mental illness. Discipline will let the user stay away from self harming.
770  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [CHALLENGE] Who wants to be a millionaire ? on: October 25, 2019, 05:21:04 AM
This won't go even for the 50th bet. Better Op needs to check with a small amount to know the risk he has scheduled in front of him. Even when we go with the increased winning probability we aren't assured with the win. This way I find it really a hard thing to achieve. Playing on different gambling sites I find no gambling site gives way for such a win on consecutive bets. Even yesterday I lost all the campaign payments on Windice which is unexpected, and it happens which is why it is termed gambling is risky.
771  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why lots of people got scam easily on: October 25, 2019, 04:27:29 AM
People get scam especially in crypto largely because people fail to learn. They fail to learn to research into projects before investing in them. Although some scam projects can go undetected even after researching into them, it is better than not performing the research at all. Others are scammed out of greedy, thus chasing after enticing offers which looks so glamorous to be real.
Yes, people find it hard to learn more about cryptocurrency. When it comes to different projects it is truly hard to identify which is a scam and which is legitimately working on development. Apart from this most of the time users gets caught into the hands of scammers who shout with the slogan easy multiplication of bitcoin through different schemes. This is happening with fiat as well, but in the crypto ecosystem it is found more common.
772  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: (Yes or NO) The 2020s belong to DEXs on: October 25, 2019, 03:48:02 AM
Already there were more and more decentralized exchanges into service. Same time very few had succeeded making good trading volume through the different trading pairs. Until now centralized exchanges are quite strong and supportive in the trading process. DEX will add value to it, when the same is being developed by one who has good reputation. This way I believe DEX from Binance will make a big change.
773  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can we really have fast transactions like the XRP? on: October 25, 2019, 03:24:43 AM
They are different in many ways as Bitcoin was developed as digital currency that which aims as payment of services and good, while on the other hand, XRP was created for banks for payment settlement, money transfer and currency exchange. XRP is really developed to create asset transfers in real time.

Agreed, this is the real difference between bitcoin and xrp. Bitcoin is developed as a payment that itself serves as a currency. When it comes to xrp, it is developed to pivot transactions and support banking services. With that it is developed as a network for banking. This is why it is also termed centralized platform service.
774  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pro-bitcoins Politicians on: October 25, 2019, 02:37:47 AM
These are the politicians who have known the right about bitcoin and blockchain. When other politicians think of the negativity and the crimes that have happen through bitcoin these politicians take it in the opposite way. Particularly these people consider it a technology that is truly a requirement to the world which is transforming to a digitized form.
775  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: October 23, 2019, 11:31:57 PM
Well Kohli also respects him a lot as he also still asks for Dhoni's input inside the game which is a very good character and a correct direction for becoming a successful captain. Dhoni has seen a lot and he is well experienced with strategies a team need to place at specific point of game. There is lot to learn about and respecting each teammates views and analyzing the situation and making a decision is a easy and fast way. Otherwise you will only be testing out strategies and who knows whether it might work or not.
The process is really good, Ganguly, Sachin and Kumble helped Dhoni to develop as a good captain and Dhoni is passing the torch to Kohli, in Test matches Kohli is the better captain because of his aggressive approach to the game and so is the reason we are seeing results rather than draws and i rate him higher in that aspect and this is my opinion as a cricket fan.
Currently we can say Kohli is one of best test captains as his agression is his best weapon this happen just because of his love with cricket and good support from Dhoni this started from as mention Great Ganguly he was real hero for Indian agreesvie cricket now we will watch this for some more time as they are going in good and strong back of good cricketers in domestic cricket.
Kohli is one of the best cricketer, but if there isn't no mutual play from rest of the players he can't be the best captain. Looking at the previous test match India had the home advantage, but looking upon individual performance each and everyone played good cricket. The combined effort is the reason for the winning than aggressive play.
776  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Quantum supremacy. Is your trade (coins) Quantum resistant? on: October 23, 2019, 10:52:39 PM
There is quantum supremacy, but the bitcoin network is strong enough to bear the quantum computing. Maybe over the next ten years this will get much advanced. What we see from Google is just the beginning to the quantum computing development. The valuation of these computers were done in Quantum Bits. To break the bitcoin it requires at least 1500 Quantum Bits, while the present quantum computer has got only 53 Quantum Bits. This way we can consider it the very early days for the advancing of quantum computers.
777  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin down on: October 23, 2019, 07:43:24 PM
No need to panic, we have seen a lot of major drops. Let's just be patient and make no panic. And another thing, I see plenty of fud manipulations when we are going down. We need inelasticity for these asap.
Price drops were common with bitcoin, the large volume holders always try to circulate FUD. Over the falling weeks there'll be large level of manipulation and FUD as we're nearing the end of the celebration region. This is to profit out and make careful decisions about the market. Today a big level of price..
778  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If You Win Big Will You Remember Your Losses on: October 23, 2019, 07:21:41 PM
Winning and losing on gambling were common terms. There is no gambler without experiencing win as well as loss. When one wins big automatically he'll decide better and analyze better for the consecutive bet. This doesn't pave way to forget the losses that's been experienced earlier. Remembering the losses will make you feel better and plan better to stay away from losses.
779  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is this why Bitcoin is crashing? on: October 23, 2019, 06:17:48 PM
Today the price has crashed low to $7500, this is something unexpected as the market have gained good momentum at $8000. There is no perfect reason behind the price crash. Whenever there is price crash, it gets attributed with something happening parallel to the same. This time some controversy is happening with Facebook and its libra.
780  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum: 2017 vs 2019 on: October 22, 2019, 12:19:56 PM
Everything related to market risk moves on a cycle. Same has happened with ethereum as well, the market value of ethereum reached the peak along with bitcoin. Later the drop is very big and unexpected, because more growth was expected from ethereum for the year after 2017. This is why more people stated ethereum is dead. As in the cycle, now it is time to invest on ethereum for a bigger growth for 2020.
