763  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Silly and scary questions, and what would you do if that were you. on: January 21, 2024, 01:55:26 PM
I became worried and found it difficult to answer after my friend asked me scary and ridiculous questions about Bitcoin ownership.
he asked. If friends, new acquaintances, or other people find out that you have a sizable amount of Bitcoin, and you don't tell them. Then you are kidnapped with several people covering their faces, with the aim of getting your wallet address with the risk that if you don't give it you will be killed.
And another reason, you have given your wallet address to members you trust, such as family members or your wife and children.

And I want to know, what are you going to do.
Aren't you going to give the bad guy your wallet address, and you let him get killed. However, your Bitcoins remain safe because you have given your wallet address to someone you trust.
Or you will give it away because you still want to live, and you don't have any more Bitcoins.

And it was just a casual conversation with a friend of mine who both owns Bitcoin, and I was just wondering what other people's answers to this dreaded question made me want to create a thread.

766  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Increased Gambling Risk for the Younger Generation on: January 20, 2024, 05:45:32 PM
There is some evidence to show that the younger generation gambles more often online, especially through internet access and mobile technology which continues to develop due to ease of access and convenience in using it.
And this should be our concern and also our obligation after our children grow up, to provide guidance and education as early as possible about the dangers of online gambling.
And this is a concern I have for my children as they start to become teenagers, and I have to exercise extra supervision when they use mobile devices that I have to check periodically to make sure they are not involved with online gambling.
767  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you think gambling every day is better? on: January 20, 2024, 11:27:43 AM

My question is do you think gambling every day is better? From his reasoning and points of narrations.

I think there is nothing worse than being in gambling every day. Have you heard the saying that a habit is developed in three days? Now imagine what happens to a gambler when he is constantly playing and playing. Gambling will become such a strong addiction for him that he will not let go of his smartphone, and will constantly check the status of his bets and launch the casino application.

I can confirm your statement based on my personal experience. I become hook on gambling before that makes me play regularly in daily basis. I win and lose alternately per day but the bottomline is its consume most of my time that I was supposed to do more important things. I didn’t win in the end and just waste a lot of time so I decided to limit my gambling to weekends so that I can still do my job peacefully.

So far, I have better results now in gambling because I’m not forced to play in daily basis. I can play now patiently because I always considered my game special due to the time that I wait to gamble unlike playing regularly which the game is already dull and just more on thinking about winning.
Because there is no best time to gamble that guarantees we will win, including playing every day and also on weekends. Gambling is about luck which is not influenced by playing every day or other things that allow luck to occur, because luck in gambling can favor those who gamble often, rarely play or play for fun.
Gambling every day will only harm ourselves, especially in terms of work, family, friends and so on which makes us distant from them and our work becomes neglected.
I personally only gamble for fun with enough capital and play when I want to play, and I often do it just like you on the weekends. Because apart from weekends I prioritize work, hanging out with my family and also resting. And I also gamble on weekends depending on the situation and my mood, if it's not possible I don't do it.
And my personal experience, I rarely gamble or bet on weekends and also when I have the urge, sometimes luck is on my side. And the most important thing is to stop when you are in a winning position and whatever the size, and stop when the small capital provided has run out. And the most important thing is to play with full awareness so as not to be controlled by the game and also enjoy the game.

Ain't that what they've normally done over time? Arsenal always settles for less ams that's not a pretty good thing to see since the time of Arsene Wenger.
I'd find it hurting if they don't win this Competition because it'll definitely take another long term before they eventually come close like they did last season and this exact season.
For the game against Crystal Palace today, it's another London derby yes I know but Arsenal won't be losing this particular fixture truly.

It is very important for Arsenal to win today, this will allow them to compare on points with Aston Villa and break away from Tottenham, which, with further losses of points, will be able to push Arsenal out of the top 4. Yes, this is another London derby, which will not be easy, but where else can Arsenal break this losing streak if not at the Emirates. The victory for Arsenal is very important, Liverpool already has a 5 point advantage...
Arsenal must be able to take advantage of the opportunity to play at home to beat Crystal Palace. Victory will not only end a series of bad results, but will also put Arsenal back on track to challenge for the title this season, especially since Arsenal is already 5 points behind Liverpool. Therefore, if Arsenal cannot win over Crystal Palace then it is likely that Arsenal's chances of winning the English league title this season are very slim considering that Liverpool and Manchester City appear consistently.
Arsenal's performance has been declining recently, and in the last three matches they have always lost and other than that
Arsenal have only won 1 time in their last 5 matches in the Premier League. And this poor performance made Mikel Arteta's troops fall behind in the race for the title, and Arsenal's poor results Mikel Arteta must immediately restore his team's best performance.
And the home match against Crystal Palace is Arsenal's opportunity to compete again for the title. Even though they are optimistic that Arsenal will be able to beat Crystal Palace, Arsenal should not take Crystal Palace lightly because it is certain that Crystal Palace will play more defensively and rely on counter-attacks if there is an opportunity.

[2] Vietnam vs Indonesia: 0-1
For the first time, Indonesia won and got 3 points in group D.
Indonesia's only goal came from a penalty kick executed by Asnawi Bahar. Vietnam's narrow defeat against Indonesia left them with 0 points.

I like the final result. But I was a little disappointed with Indonesia's pattern of play in the 2nd half. By doing tight presing indeed in the first half Indonesia was able to make Vietnam difficult to move. They forced the Vietnamese players to make long passes. That's what didn't happen in the second half Indonesia was a little less presing, so Vietnam was more comfortable playing short balls.

This problem makes me always worried, because Indonesia is only 1 goal ahead. In addition, when Vietnam played with 10 player, Indonesia was still attacked. Indonesia couldn't keep the ball and control the game. Next Indonesia against Japan, a little pessimistic but my hope is that Indonesia can draw so that they still have a chance to qualify for the knockout phase.
Yes, that's what happened, after Asnawi Mangkualam successfully executed a penalty kick in the first half in the 42nd minute until the end of the match, Indonesia played very well in the first half. However, in the second half Indonesia played too carefully and didn't really care about the 10 Vietnamese players. It seemed they were focused on not conceding to Vietnam and were able to maintain a narrow score of 0-1 until the end of the match by strengthening their defense and taking advantage of counter-attack opportunities.
This match seemed to be an event for revenge as well as maintaining self-esteem because of the 6 meetings they had, Indonesia had never won against Vietnam and the 0-1 victory was a valuable and important victory for Indonesia. Apart from being able to take revenge, Indonesia also has the opportunity to qualify for the knockout phase if it is able to hold Japan to a draw.
771  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does it bother you when dealers change during play? on: January 20, 2024, 02:41:17 AM
I tried some live blackjack recently and on certain providers for tables like Evolution it kinda bothered me how often dealers would change.
Just when you get used to the flow a dealer has, how they announce cards and bet times, they would change. I have no idea based on what principle dealers will go sit on another table, but it doesn't seem very standard.
I'd certainly prefer the dealers I've come to like to stay a bit longer but I also have to say that all the dealers are doing a good job so in the end the game still continues to run smoothly.

Oftentimes when dealers change in a table I see most people leave the table. Perhaps that's because so many people think that their luck is somehow associated with the dealer. And people leaving the table is another annoying thing because times can completely change from what you had gotten used to.

What are your thoughts on this? Do you mind when dealers in your table change? Or does it not bother you at all?
Indeed, when we are focused on playing and suddenly the dealer changes while playing, it makes us a little distracted and even disrupts our concentration.
And maybe I think it's because it's time for a dealer rotation and if there's a sudden change maybe it's because there's something we don't know yet. It may be due to fatigue or something else that needs to be replaced because dealers want to stay fresh, professional and always alert. And it could also be due to errors, for example in terms of payment or other things that cause the dealer to have to be replaced. Even though we feel disturbed, we can't do anything and the most important thing is that there is no cheating or negative things that will harm us.
772  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How often do you win? on: January 19, 2024, 08:50:56 AM
~snip~
Slot games can make people curious about their losses, and they will try playing a few more rounds. They will also deposit their money again if they lose and have spent it because curiosity still makes them want to play it. By using small bets and sufficient capital, they don't need to deposit any more money to cover their curiosity because slot games really require luck to win. If they can restrain themselves and not indulge their curiosity, they can prevent big losses because this depends on how good their self-control is not to continue gambling. If they succeed in restraining themselves from wanting to continue gambling, they will not feel frustrated or stressed by their losses because that is what gambling games are like.

The more often people play slots, the more likely they will lose. For this reason, people who play slots must think about how much money they will use so they don't gamble excessively. That doesn't guarantee they can win, but they will only get bigger losses, so they have to be careful in managing their money.
I think not only slot games but also all types of games and bets will make gamblers more curious when they experience defeat and of course not only defeat but winning also makes gamblers stay in the casino longer to get more wins big.
Winning will always be the main factor that will make gamblers more active in placing bets on all types of games they like, but we need to always remember that after winning round there will always be a loss and we must be able to avoid losses like this.
One way is to withdraw the amount of winnings and leave gambling and then forget about winnings that might be possible to get more because we can never determine the luck that comes, that way there will be no desire to bet again.
It will be very detrimental if there is always desire to get bigger win and we have to make efforts to prevent this loss from happening.

Of course, the more you lose, the more you lose, which is the result that all gamblers will always receive, Slot games are games of luck that work based on random algorithms.
From this it can be concluded that there is no strategy that can guarantee victory except luck and slot games are not as easy to win as you imagine.
You are right because this happens because the wins they experience make them confident to continue playing so they can repeat their wins again which in the end makes them often accept defeat. And when they lose, they play again in the hope of winning the next game, and in the end they lose more than they win. So basically curiosity is what makes them keep playing without stopping.
And winning in gambling is certain, but without us realizing it, in reality the more losses we experience.
So I think the key to winning often is. Playing must be done with full awareness so that we don't get carried away by the atmosphere of the game which makes us lose control. And besides that, if we play with full awareness then we will be able to master the game, not us being controlled by the game. And that way we will also know when to stop. And stop after experiencing several losses in a row, and stop when you are in a winning position so you can get a full win regardless of the size. It's not easy, but we have to try to get used to it.
773  Economy / Economics / Re: The savings problem on: January 19, 2024, 07:15:23 AM
In my opinion, in the dynamic environment of agency life, a radical change of pace is inevitable. However, to overcome this, we are required to be independent and smart in taking initiatives so that we can have a life that can meet important needs now and in the future. Such as living needs, investment and also having to develop a good strategy in everything.
Currently, most people have difficulty saving because of increasing needs and wrong planning due to prestige, increasing needs, we must be able to overcome this by having a job or additional income. And this is one of the best and smartest ways to still be able to meet your living needs, save and invest without depending on the government because only we ourselves are able to overcome or change it.
Apart from that, most generations are too concerned with ego or desires compared to the needs that are actually important, including for the future or long term which must be planned or thought about as well as possible.
774  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this the end of excitement on: January 18, 2024, 07:50:22 PM
not the end of the excitement. but the beginning of the excitement this year is the year of halving. not long next year the price of all coins including bitcoin as a trigger and catalyst for the increase of all coins due to halving. it is almost certain that next year the price of bitcoin will definitely skyrocket. the tendency of the historical price of bitcoin is like that. so it's not the excitement that ends but instead the beginning of greater excitement
Of course this is the start of excitement, and also a good start in collecting Bitcoin because this year is the year Bitcoin halved and we are just waiting for the Bitcoin price to reach its ATH or reach a new ATH.
And I don't understand the OP's point, because he's been buying Bitcoin for a decade and he likely will buy again. So far he should always be in a happy state because the prices before 1 decade and now are much different and he must have also benefited from the previous Bitcoin ATH that he had during that time. So OP should be in a happier condition, because everyone or investors are just waiting for Bitcoin to skyrocket. Confused by OP's statement.
775  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: January 18, 2024, 06:12:11 PM
I think they most importantly need to win the games they will play against the other teams that are threatened to end their season in the relegation zone. Of course it is a nice to have if they can beat other teams from the upper half of the table, but the most important points are those against their competitors from the lower half of the table.

Within the last 7 games of the season their opponents are Burnley, Nottingham, Brentford, Luton Town and Sheffield. That's when the season will be most important for Everton.
The team you mentioned also has the desire to win the match and they also don't want to be in the relegation zone so everyone will play for a win or at least a draw. Everton should be able to get out of the zone more easily, but their inconsistent performance means everything can change. Nottingham and Brentford are not easy to beat because they also have to win if they don't want to be in the relegation zone so they will try the same thing as Everton.

If can't win in all the remaining matches then a draw is enough, but it's also important to get several wins to avoid unforeseen possibilities. Being above one level in the relegation zone is not an easy thing because if they want to be safe they have to be in 14th or 15th position in the final standings.
None of the teams is easy to beat and that is why we have seen so many surprises so far. But if somebody asked me whether I think that the most important games for Everton are those against the teams from the upper half of the table or the games against the teams from the lower half of the table, my instant answer would be that they have to win the games against the teams from the lower half of the table of course. Everton can afford to lose against Manchester City and Liverpool, but they can't afford to lose against Luton Town, Brentford and co. Those games are absolutely critical and every single one of those games must be considered a final like in a cup.

It will be difficult to predict which teams will go into the  relegation zone. Because there  is still a long journey  ahead. Each team will  play about 18 more matches. So Burnley and Luton Town have the ability to get out of  the relegation zone if the performance  is somewhat stable. But it cannot be said with certainty whether it will stabilize the performance of the teams.

However, the performance of the Everton team is quite good this season. Despite losing 10 points, they are still out of the relegation zone. And I think at the end of the season we will see this team maybe 12th/13th. But I am not satisfied with Sheffield United's performance. It will be very difficult for this team to get out of the relegation zone. Because their defense is too weak.
Yes, there is still a long way to go and everything can still happen and be improved so as not to enter the relegation zone. But for Everton, in my opinion, he is much better than Burnley, Luton Town and also Sheffield United. The reason is that in 21 matches, Everton won 8 wins, which means Everton's match results were better than Burnley, Luton Town and also Sheffield United.
And there is still a possibility that Everton will be in 12/13 position until the end of the season, but it all depends on Sean Dyche whether he will try to improve his team's shortcomings. And for Sheffield United I also think the same, most likely they will have difficulty not being in the relegation zone because out of 20 matches they were only able to score 2 wins.
776  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you care about what people say about you gambling? on: January 18, 2024, 01:58:08 PM
Those who attack us about the gambling we play, of course they don't understand how we gamble and it's impossible for them to understand the gambling we play. All they can do is criticize people who gamble because they don't like gambling, but for those who advise us in gambling of course we can see how they advise us, if they advise us because they have had a lot of experience in the gambling they play I don't think there's any harm in listening but we remain in our stance whether what they say is true or they just say it is not appropriate with what they know.
If they criticize me by saying bad things that might happen to me, I will just leave it and not want to listen because, in my opinion, they don't know how I use gambling, and they are just talking. We know better how we gamble and when we can be responsible with our gambling, we don't need to give them any arguments because they don't know anything about us. But we can also listen to what they say and reply to their words by saying that we can gamble responsibly and not use too much money. But that might later lead to arguments because many people don't want to get replies to arguments from other people. After all, they prefer to criticize other people. And that will give them a misunderstanding of us.
Many people can indeed tell us what to do with our gambling game, but they do not see the full picture. Maybe I just play for fun and have it there and my bets don't affect my wallet because I can afford it. But people can say that I am an addict, which in reality is absolutely not true. These conversations do not give anything, it is better to concentrate on your own life, and not interfere in someone else’s. Surely those who speak may have more problems than we do, so there is no point in listening to them. There are those who are worried about this, just do what you want, but do not forget that in gambling you do not need to cross the red lines.
Yes, that's right, why care about those who criticize or interfere with our gambling activities. We gamble using our own money, we are the ones who experience winning or losing, not them, so just ignore those who criticize our gambling activities.
Even if they think we are addicted, just ignore them and it's none of their business whether we are addicted or not, the important thing is that we don't harm other people, and we know better about our own situation. They criticize or dislike gambling because gambling activities are considered negative, even though gambling is a game for fun and is only played in free time. And I prefer to gamble in secret so that I can enjoy the game and play casually in a calm and comfortable atmosphere, using only a few dollars.
777  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you ever regretted selling your bitcoins ? on: January 18, 2024, 01:41:08 PM
I think Bitcoin is my problem solver when I am in financial trouble and for whatever I have to use it, and I consider Bitcoin a life companion that is always with me and maybe until the end of my life. I mean, Bitcoin will always help me in financial problems or emergencies and Bitcoin will also help me in my old age.
Me using it doesn't mean I use it all, and I only use it when I really need it. And don't focus too much on Bitcoin because we will never know what will happen to us so we will definitely take advantage of it, and I know the potential for Bitcoin in the future will be greater and will also be more profitable. So the best thing for me is Bitcoin is that when I need it I will use it and also for the future, and I will also use some of the profits when ATH happens for things that I really want and Bitcoin can make it happen.
778  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Three gems in my view on: January 17, 2024, 07:59:45 AM
I have heard about Arbitrum but I am quite not familiar with Sui and Optimism I am focusing on other altcoins right now but Arbitrum seems to be a potentially extremely profitable coin and I see a lot of people right now interested in the coin

Most likely that a lot of altcoins will increase alongside bitcoin in the next following months so a proper research a clear motivated decisions is what we need right now strategize when to enter a market and know when to exit because altcoins are extremely volatile
ARB or Arbitrum tokens are becoming increasingly popular and growing among crypto enthusiasts and some have purchased them on several exchanges. And I also don't know much about Sui and Optimism, but between the three I think Arbitrum will definitely have a higher transaction capacity than Sui and Optimism.
And Arbitrum is a Layer 2 solution for the Ethereum network designed to enhance the capabilities of smart contracts and also increase their speed and scalability. Apart from that, it also adds additional privacy features which I think are better and more promising than the two because I don't know much about either of them apart from Arbitrum. And I'm also not interested in the altcoins that OP mentioned which makes me not do research which I don't think is very important if I'm not interested, because I still believe in the top and oldest altcoins in terms of profits.
779  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My dream business succeeded on: January 17, 2024, 03:12:02 AM
If I were in OP's position, I would use that much money to buy Bitcoin and invest for the long term, because currently having a business is not as easy as we imagine, whether the business will be successful or not. Especially if you don't have experience and knowledge in the field.
Apart from that, I think using Bitcoin as a means of payment is currently not the right time because congestion and high transaction fees are reasons and also full considerations. Because nowadays most people will reduce transactions or not do them at all because of the high fees and prefer to use fiat and accumulate more Bitcoins for the long term and the fees return to normal.
And the reason I chose this money to buy Bitcoin is because it is more promising, especially in the long term, and while waiting for big profits. I will study the business I will create as a whole that will allow me to run both to success.
780  Economy / Economics / Re: Financial education and why it should be a priority. on: January 17, 2024, 01:13:46 AM
Personally, I think financial education is very important. Because it will become capital in the future and this needs to be educated as early as possible.
Most people at school don't pay enough attention to financial education lessons, because they think it's not the time yet.
And most people only learn when they are adults, some even don't know how to manage their finances until they are old.
In fact, financial education will be our capital in the future so that we can manage our finances well and also use them wisely and can make us financially successful. And most of those who don't care about financial education can't manage their finances well so they are wasteful and always spend money only on what they want, not on what they really need.
