I have release the p2pool source code to setup a Myriadcoin qubit node on github:

https://github.com/linked67/p2pool-myrq

Let's start the revolution and make as many nodes as you wish, it's good for the network Smiley
Donations (myr) are welcome: MUHNPJvXCjCnQPeDFX2FnzWNN8C5tw9wak

PS: Don't forget to set the qubit algo in myriadcoin.conf

+2000 myr tip for you kind sir.

I'll match that tip right now. Smiley

I'm less interested in the price and more interested in the increase in mining difficulty.

This coin was designed to solve the issue of distribution of mining for all and the price is helping drive that into action.  Powerful network effect coming into play.

What is the expected daily mining rate going to be? Because at this rate the amount of new coins coming into the market is a lot.

The beautiful thing is that even if it is high, it's going into the hands of 5 different types of miners who may decide to do different things with the coin and bring them to different exchanges. Different demographics, which is another beautiful thing.

But right now there is plenty of buy support for the coin.

I still have a month or two before I want to be passing out Cypherfunks flyers at festivals!!

Quote
Every cryptocurrency before Myriadcoin has allowed only 1 algorithm to mine the blockchain.

It's actually not the first coin to do this. There is a pretty old/dead coin called RUC (russian bitcoin), created in 2011, which is both SHA256 & SCRYPT.

It is not open source AFAIK.

Good point. I'll change the wording. I wondering why RUC didn't catch on more? Not being open source will kill things harshly it appears.

Did I read that right?  You knock Doge but support Fedora?

Quoting this because it needs to be quoted again.

Us boys over at MyriadCoin will keep an eye on this algorithm Wink

Just bookkeeping here:

We have 2 Qubit pools? Or more?

These are listed on the subreddit sidebar:

https://cpu-pool.net/myr/
http://myr.nonce-pool.com/

Let me know if there are any more Qubit pools to add, please!

I made an mistake yesterday.
Was gonna transfer 50k Myr from one adress to another.
But i mistakenly copied an Mazacoin adress (poloniex account). Usually the clients will complain that the account isnt valid, but for some reason it accepted it without issues!

heres the transaction:
http://myr.theblockexplorer.com:2750/address/MPBwccKVcaRpDpN59njzKVWLCSRr6XpsD2

So basiclly the transaction didnt get rejected. My wallet is empty... this sucks!

Guess those coins are lost forever? or is it possible to use the Mazacoin wallet on an myriad client? (however that depends on poloniex since its their system)

The same mistake, but I was experimental, at present, MAZACOIN wallet can be copied to the MYR and use the MYR client, you can also get a MAZA and the same address, I'm updating client, see time deposits can be received in the MYR client, of course it's all depends on the POLONIEX, because the wallet file in them there.

And complain about, POLONIEX balances the interface is too crowded, I than you miserable, 260K MYR, is really a tragedy.

I love your signature.

So we got:

https://myrgrs.suprnova.cc

and

https://myrskein.suprnova.cc

exclusively for Myriad now :-)

I've also patched Stratum against the diff-Attacks, No fake shares are counted.

To the moooooon ! :-)

Fuck. Yes.

I think MYR will be in top 20 on coinmarketcap (already on 40 while I write this) by the end of this month. People are learning about it just now. The prices we see on exchanges is not just a pump but looks like a real growth. Mining is tripled as more people know about MYR....I truly hope this continues.

What do you guys think?

Myriad has the first mover advantage of coins with multi-algo blockchains. You'll start seeing coins copy Myriad. This all adds validity and value to Myriad as the reference coin. Think Litecoin value down the line.

Wow...I've always been concerned I might accidentally do this. I honestly don't have any idea what happens in this situation. Maza and Myriad both begin with M, right? So they might both appear valid to each other. I think you might have just sent your coins to a random public wallet with no privkey associated with it :/

Community Bounty Drive - Updated 4/3 (1:45am CT) - Donate to the Bounties that Interest You the Most

If anyone has more ideas for bounties I can start making unique wallet addresses for them. Just list bounty ideas below and we can start donating to them!

Benefits:

MyriadCoin community can donate to projects/utilities they would like to see created the most.
MyriadCoin community members looking to fulfill bounties can see which ones offer the most coins (i.e. highest demand).

EDIT: Should we add a bounty for getting the damn stratum patches implemented so users aren't faking shares? Don't other coins have these stratum issues resolved?

Ascis made BTC explode, so why run from something that will not only help secure the blockchain of a coin but also add value to a coin is beyond stupid. If miners want to feel relevant, then they should try to sell off their expensive GPU mining rigs and scoop themselves a scrypt asic miner and thus help secure their blockchain and add value to their coin while maintaining a sense or relevancy.

Everyone is freaking out about scrypt asic miners with absolutely no need. Scrypt ascis will be no different than people having large GPU mining farms. Have large GPU mining farms destroyed scrypt alt coins? No, they haven't; and neither will scrypt ascis.

Right.

MyriadCoin isn't running from anyone.

Algos that serve as the POW for MyriadCoin: 1) SHA256d 2) Scrypt 3) Groestl 4) Skein 5) Qubit

This isn't running from ASICs. It's including them alongside algorithms without ASICs yet. It's the solution to this game of keep away we are seeing with coins programming the POW to prevent ASICs from arising fast (though it will always be inevitable).
776  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is 1-Dimensional. Litecoin is 1-D. Vertcoin is 1-D. MyriadCoin? 5-D. on: April 03, 2014, 05:27:35 AM
The algo used by a coin is nothing more than how the POW is executed; so your 1-dimentional/5-dimentional claim is the absolutely worst pump attempt I've read in weeks.

Both SHA-256 and Scrypt can be mined by CPUs, GPUs and ascis. Of course CPU and GPU mining will obviously be weaker than ascis, but I imagine that holds true in myradcoin just like every other coin.

It's about miners remaining relevant in the realm of ASICs. Bitcoin, Litecoin, and the rest do not offer that. MyriadCoin is inclusive (decentralized), not exclusive (centralized).

For the record, I strongly discourage anyone from investing in Myriadcoin before they understand how it works and try mining it themselves.
777  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Bitcoin is 1-Dimensional. Litecoin is 1-D. Vertcoin is 1-D. MyriadCoin? 5-D. on: April 03, 2014, 05:12:40 AM
Just putting this in a different perspective for those who haven't heard of MyriadCoin yet or don't understand it's concept.

MyriadCoin is the first coin to allow 5 different algorithms to mine the blockchain concurrently.

With the advent of MyriadCoin, ASICs and the average miner can coexist and the fragmentation of coins may cease.

How it works

  • Each proof of work algorithm has its own independent difficulty.
  • Any algorithm can find the next block.
  • All the algorithms use the same difficulty adjustment method.
  • On average, each algorithm has the same chance of finding the next block.
  • Each algorithm aims for a block generation time of 2.5 minutes.
  • Over the five algorithms, a block should be found on average every 30 seconds.

I think this coin is basically set to be the next Litecoin.

It makes everything else seem so outdated. What a blockchain!

Bitcoin is 1-dimensional.
Litecoin is 1-dimensional.
Vertcoin is 1-dimensional.
Hirocoin is 1-dimensional.
Auroracoin is 1-dimensional.
Dogecoin is 1-dimensional.

Myriad is 5-dimensional.

I personally will be configuring my miners to Skein in the new day or two. It's awesome that I can switch from Scrypt to Skein and still be mining the same coin.

That is so damn refreshing to type.
