Tungkol sa troll post, hati din ako dito. Minsan may nababasa akong sinasabi nilang isang "troll comment" pero kapag binasa ko, meron naman point kahit papano. Subjective din yan.

As I've pointed out, a troll post is different from tongue-in-cheek replies or sarcasm. They're two different bananas. A troll post is pure garbage/trash.

I might need to reiterate this:

2. No off-topic posts.

Before you post in a thread I would ask yourself is this really helpful or constructive...?

Off-topic replies have become a big problem. From now on, I will be deleting such replies without notice, forum-wide.

Please report off-topic posts as soon as you see them.

Texts are made in bold and red color for emphasis.

My opinion on off-topics stays. Off-topics, most especially troll posts, are not helpful, irrelevant, and nonconstructive.

Off-topic replies have become a big problem.

This only meant that it is being abused.

Off-topic replies have always been a problem. There was never a time when off-topic replies are accepted. But that existing problem has ballooned to an intolerable level when huge flocks of spammers arrive.

It was already an abuse right from the start, an abuse of the freedom and tolerance which was provided by this forum. But it went to a point when the forum will have to interfere and directly address the issue. It simply means that the problem as regards off-topic replies has become rampant.

Please be wise enough to distinguish off-topic from tongue-in-cheek replies.
7623  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: People who gamble are degenerates, change my mind. on: July 27, 2019, 07:51:57 AM
I won't change your mind because I agree with your views. In my country, a lot of people just love to gamble, myself included but not on an addictive level. We gamble on basketball, boxing, tennis, politics, cockfighting, horse race, spiders, turtle race, serial number of bills, color of the next blouse of a teacher, an examination's answer, and countless others. Funny, isn't it?

An argument, for example, could easily be settled with a bet as to whether who is right, for as long as it could be actually confirmed. Quite a literal way of putting-your-money-where-your-mouth-is argument.
7624  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Iran legalizes mining on: July 27, 2019, 07:05:22 AM
I am amazed, this is a country that is very brave in taking policies, many countries do not dare to take policies like Iran, maybe in the future many countries will follow like Iran.

For sure,  that would say clearly that the network operation of bitcoin won't be stop as long as there are miners out their.
They can make it illegal but they can't stop the miners, and good thing there are countries who supports crypto.

Good news for me, because they openly support bitcoin mining. That is one step towards bitcoin legality in Iran. It's just a matter of time until bitcoin is truly legal in Iran.

bitcoin has always been legal in Iran it has just not been regulated. so was mining. in fact people in Iran have been mining bitcoin for many years, mostly in early years that the difficulty was low. as for regulation of bitcoin itself, it is going to happen in about 3 months.

I think the information that has gotten to you is not quite right. Bitcoin has been illegal in Iran. There was never a time when the Iranian government raised the green flag for Bitcoin. As a matter of fact, according to a cointelegraph news just this month, the government's central bank has warned that buying and selling Bitcoin is illegal in the country. (Source: https://cointelegraph.com/news/trading-bitcoin-is-illegal-in-iran-central-bank-official-warns)

However, 2 days later, it was reported that a disagreement among concerned Iranian officials regarding Bitcoin is apparent. While trading is indeed illegal, mining was treated with an open mind, with the country's supreme court itself excluding mining in its ban decision. (Source: https://finance.yahoo.com/news/iranian-authorities-disagree-whether-bitcoin-231507483.html)

But then again, we all know what happened after that. More than a thousand ASICS were confiscated in the various raids that were conducted.

And then, another turn around by Iran, legalizing mining all of a sudden.

What a ride! Every Iranian must have a dizzying yet fun ride with their government's final policy on Bitcoin and cryptocurrency.
7625  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First Cryptocurrency? on: July 27, 2019, 03:57:42 AM
I thought its BTC but after reading this thread My Idea has changed,  there are many old web based money but not decentralised.

Yes, that is correct. The very heart of the matter is that Bitcoin does not have a heart, it cannot be killed! Had it not been decentralized, I would think that it has long been dead. Cryptography is an old art of codes and it has been used, at least in several attempts, to create digital currencies, which were all vulnerable sad to say. The good thing is that Satoshi was a lot more genius than the previous geniuses.
7626  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do traders make more money than holders? on: July 27, 2019, 03:32:51 AM
The best of traders as compared to pure holders, the traders will win in terms of profit. They are traders, after all! They work and work regardless of whether the market is bullish or bearish. While others are resorting to holding due to very high uncertainty and solid red in the charts, the expert traders can still see gains. They can smell green amidst blood. But of course, only those who have acquired and honed their skills to the extreme. Those half-blooded traders like me would rather stay safe and HODL.

I am rooting for our home country to go past the first round  Cheesy
USA can still win this but if not, then it will be one of the top European teams.

Let us wish each other luck, mate! The teams in Group D are not easy opponents, especially Italy and Serbia. While I also support and cheer with crossed fingers for my very own country, I am not expecting them coming out the winner even in the first round.

This might really be another one good year for the Americans.
7628  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee Believes Dogecoin “Will Go To The Moon” on: July 27, 2019, 02:31:06 AM
Well!!

We all are aware that Elon Musk has publicly stated that Dogecoin is one of his favorite cryptocurrencies. At present Dogecoin found a new fan,
John McAfee, the most popular public figures in the crypto industry. John has agreed that Dogecoin is cryptocurrency gearing up for a big price rally.

What's your take on this, will dogecoin price surge up?

I'm afraid a couple of people mentioning Dogecoin is not enough for its price to soar high. And John McAfee has always been mentioning one altcoin after another every once in a while. Aside from Dogecoin, he has already promoted Docademic, Apollo, Electroneum, Tron, Factom, Burst, and several more others. I don't know if he has really looked deeply into their products but the impression to some people is that he's only tapped to cause some hype around the coin or at most pump. But it has not necessarily followed.

This man is both colorful and whimsical but I am not sure if people really buy what he talks.
7629  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Credit Card Cash Loan - Buy Bitcoin on: July 26, 2019, 02:04:42 PM
Pare, if you get a loan for an investment, especially risky investment such as cryptocurrency or Bitcoin in particular, please avoid assuming that the investment will give you enough ROI for you to be able to pay your loan on time including the interest. For me, that is simply adding another layer of risk. First, you are investing into something without certainty. Second, you are expecting a 100% success. That cannot be reconciled. In other words, you are already counting the chicks even before the eggs are hatched.

But you may disregard this altogether if you are going to pay your loan with funds that do not come from your investment. At least, if that is the case, you may continue to HODL your Bitcoin for a longer period until it gives you profit. Otherwise, you might end up selling your Bitcoin with a loss to be able to repay your loan.
7630  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🐺WOLF.BET - Provably fair dice game 🎲 Free faucet🚰 7-day streak bonus 🔥 on: July 26, 2019, 01:35:58 PM
Wow everyone received 5 doge bonus to try out the dice site.

Hi passwordnow,

Also there is a 7-day bonus streak. Day 1 - I have received 3 doge, Day 2 - 4 doge, Day 3 (today) - 5 doge.
I guess it is +1 day each day Cheesy

You can get 33 doge from 7-day streak bonus + 5 doge for creating an account.

The bonuses are indeed overflowing. I am not sure with the rest of the dice sites, but among the 3 dice sites where I normally play, this is the only one that gives streak bonuses. Others only offer faucets. And speaking of faucet, another great advantage for wolf.bet is that the faucet resets every couple of minutes. Other takes a longer time.

Also, both UI and UX are excellent!

7632  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How often do you invest your Bitcoin to Altcoins? on: July 26, 2019, 12:07:35 PM
I own around 10 altcoins, not including those shitcoins which I already set aside without the least effort to monitor since I have no more hope for them. The topmost reason when I buy altcoins is due to technology. But, funny as it may seem to you, it has to have a name as well. If the technology seems amazing and yet there is too slow a progress in their coin's value, I won't buy it. At the end of the day, the reason why I invest in a coin with disruptive or innovative technology, not to mention real-life use, is that it will hit the investors hard and the value of the coin will explode.
7633  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC - outperforming Altcoin Porrfolio on: July 26, 2019, 11:13:38 AM
You must have done a good research right there, mate. You have chosen some of the good altcoins. I have encountered most of them, although this is my first time to read about ZEXO. But the list still makes me wonder why it is only Ethereum that is within the top 20. I guess there are much greater options in the higher ranks, much safer as well.

But if you are thinking that any one of these coins will outperform Bitcoin, you must be wrong, at least from my own point of view. You must never exclude Bitcoin in your portfolio.
7634  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin & Lightning - Would you pay for coffee instantly if it was possible? on: July 26, 2019, 09:55:51 AM
I have been using Bitcoin already for payments. All of them online payments and purchases. Admittedly, there are currently limited uses, but we are definitely moving forward one step at a time. For now, only few business establishments are accepting Bitcoin payments. Few people are also using Bitcoin to buy stuff. Nevertheless, it is existing already. So how much more if the fees are already low and the transactions very fast? Certainly, that would bring Bitcoin spending to a whole new level.
7635  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much BTC you own? on: July 26, 2019, 08:02:30 AM
Now I have 3 BTC, I'm waiting for the price to rise above $20,000

Nice one! I should say you deserve a good job pat on your shoulder for the best first post on the forum!  Wink

I own a little amount of BTC, not too little but also not too large to make me a whale. I am just a little fish in the Bitcoin ocean. I would rather keep the number to myself. But I participated in your poll. This would be more interesting if the participants are those who have been here much earlier than us.
7636  Local / Pamilihan / Re: LENDING SECTION HERE (Funds Available - [btc]0.0475) Wanted Borrowers! on: July 26, 2019, 05:21:47 AM
I'm not in a need of money now but I'll try to take a loan to see if there's a lender who can trust me here.

This loan is just an experiment on my side, and I also like to help the lenders earn some profit.
Please don't think this is to fund the winner of NBA prediction competition as I already have the funds ready for it, my sig camp reward is enough already to fund the amount needed.

So, here's my application.

Loan Amount: 0.01 BTC
Loan Repay Amount: 0.011 BTC
Loan Repay Date: July 30, 2019 or before.
Type of Collateral: None

Bitcoin Address: bc1qzmwzfmkg80vk4a9ayun4mkpxx45qfd3w3hge7p

This application will be deleted if it will not be funded within 24 hours from now.

I'll take this loan.  Wink

Details will be sent through PM.

Just acknowledge receipt of funds on this thread.

Thanks!

Waiting for the funds. Thanks a lot.

edit : Please send the funds before tomorrow morning, or I will let this application open for everyone again. Thanks for understanding.

I read your PM just now, kindly send the amount to this legacy address of mine - 1GdR7G9uJcsdsRVJydtn1HDL9bRbUt3Tjw

Funds sent.

Commission Paid   0.00050000
Status   Completed

Will wait for the payment on or before July 30, 2019. Thanks for the opportunity!  Smiley

Confirmed receipt. Just want to ask, do you charge the Commission Paid to me?

I understand that you are sending from Bittrex so you have to pay that high transaction fee which is already equivalent of 5% of the loan amount.
I suggest you create an electrum wallet where you can choose to pay a transaction fee of less than 1 usd.

You can also create segwit wallet as you can save more on the fee compared to legacy, provided you send on a segwit wallet address also.

Hey, mirakal! I am not asking you to repay me already. I'll just post the repayment address here lest I forget: bc1qy04p049wx9fwrvz8my0vr855ssqa0hssn2wpne. I am now using SegWit address.  Smiley Thanks for the advice!
7637  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Only a Crime Tool on: July 26, 2019, 03:40:43 AM
Only the powerful people do not think the way you do. They are labeling Bitcoin as the currency that perfectly fits the mind and acts of a criminal, a currency that effectively conceals the person behind the deals and the wallet addresses. But that is always belied by the available data and statistics. Numbers don't lie. Crimes, may they be international or local, are made possible with the support of money, fiat money.
7638  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't complain for too long. on: July 26, 2019, 02:35:52 AM
Good evening everyone, I want to share a little bit of saturation but also want to share the spirit in the current market conditions (Altcoin Prices). When you decide to trade, you must set aside a lot of time to monitor price movements. Actually not only choose the time to buy or sell, but there must be a growing spirit of self. Don't focus too much on conditions, but we need refreshment of mind to make a new strategy. I am optimistic that the altcoin price will grow well, maybe later this year. Do you think so now? Thank you,

Basically, it all depends on which altcoin you are talking about. If you are talking about the likes of Litecoin, Ethereum, Monero, and so on, I have no doubt they will make up for their price dump within the year. But if you talk of those pretty unknown coins, you need to go back to the fundamentals. Such unpopular coins will remain down low despite an altcoin bull run if they do not offer a product that would attract the investors.
7639  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Current promotions from Cryptocurrency Exchanges like Binance, etc.. on: July 25, 2019, 02:12:42 PM
I think there is no problem about posting promotion updates here for as long as it is not a referral link.

4. No referral code spam

4. No referral code (ref link) spam. [1]

I know there are a lot of giveaways not just in Binance but also in other exchanges. This mostly happens when coins are newly listed. This is apparently a strategy to attract traders and HODLers or to increase volume. For example, Komodo (KMD) has just finally got the green light from Binance hours ago. They are now offering KMD staking.

These are great updates although I don't personally run after these kinds of promos. But there might be some members here in the local section who are particularly interested about these things so this is still helpful.
7640  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: It’s taking a lot of discipline not to sell my alts for Bitcoin. on: July 25, 2019, 12:38:31 PM
I’m 80% bitcoin, 20% alts. Most of those 20% alts were bought with bitcoin when I “thought” the Satoshi level was low. Little did I know it would go A LOT lower. That 20% is Litecoin, Ethereum, Cardano and Ripple.

Since I’ve seen their Satoshi prices cut in half...every day I think I should cut my losses.

But then I look at the charts and, especially Cardano, I’m not sure how much lower it can go. Then again...who knows. It could go much further down from here.

I can see nothing wrong with the composition of your portfolio. That is even much better than mine. I have almost a 50:50 Bitcoin and altcoins ratio. Moreover, your altcoins portfolio is comprised of a few of the best altcoins. That is definitely a lot better than mine, which includes a few more shitcoins. If you just hold on to it and keep your patience, that portfolio is gonna make you a bigger wealth.
