Typo / wishful thinking.  Smiley Water cooled BM1384 based, 4 boards, 2TH/s, optimised for best efficiency at 0.3J/W  Smiley

ich

I honestly think syscooling killed it.  It was extra expense for water cooling vs air.   Was I neat idea thats why i got 2 of them.  One is still working, other is parts ATM.

The first pumps were horrible and so were the wire harness.  Again all syscooling not bitmain.  It's sad if they would have picked a different cooling company I think C1 would have had much better start, and possibly a second one in it's line.  What kind of water cooling company does not know do not dry test water pumps.

i think Gambling is the best way to make bitcoin

Do not listen in this one. Gambling is the worst idea on increasing your bitcoins. There are other ways like offering your services to someone in need. You may ask for BTC as a form of payment. You can try signature campaigns or just by buying bitcoins directly. In gambling, you are tend to lose it all in the long run. No one really wins from the house in such a long period of time.

It is just someone trolling.  There is a reason the house always wins has been a saying for such a long time.

And remember a lot of these gambling sites are not following any regulations.  Physical casinos have lots of regulations, they even check electronic games to see what its odds are.   Online these site's really is like wild west for a lot of them hard to know how uneven the odds are.
7643  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER C1 Discussion and Support Thread on: July 28, 2015, 07:04:42 PM
C2???

I'm assuming that part was a typo.  I don't think they will be making a C2.

But I could be wrong or out of the loop.
7644  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cloud Mining - Please help a newbie on: July 28, 2015, 06:56:44 PM
the only cloud mining site you could have trusted was cex.io though they dont offer cloud mining now, so i guess there are no websites to trust

agree, cex.io is the only bitcoin cloudmining that i trust.
their service make sense, not like any other cloud mining site that offering big payout and fast ROI.
think smart and never trust 100% to any cloudmining website , cex.io included Smiley

Wait, cex.io doesn't offer a cloud mining service anymore? Huh How long have I not visited that site? I used to trade GH/s there, more profitable than cloud mining per se, actually.

Pretty much the ones that were using the old A1 gear are gone.  Just a lot of cost to electricity.  So clouds that used A1 gear... its hard to say how many stopped opperation.

If they had extremely cheap electricity they could still operate.  But that would be few.  This is part of why I am so much into knowing what gear is used for the cloud site before I invest.

What wallet do you think it's the best on the hardwallets ,i found Case wallet the best personally even if Ididn't use it or Pre-ordered it yet but from what I saw and read it looks the website https://choosecase.com/
Case Is An Insanely Secure Hardware Bitcoin Wallet

Case is not shipping yet, accepting pre-orders and expects to ship late summer. If your budget is under $50 Ledger Nano is your best choice. If you can afford $119 Trezor is the current gold standard. If you have the Mycelium wallet on your Android phone you can connect Trezor to the phone and use it to manage your private keys. This is currently the safest way to use your phone for sending bitcoin. I have reviews of all the bitcoin hardware wallets at best bitcoin hardware wallet 2015.

I had not seen the case wallet before.  Wow does it look pretty nice of features.  But man 200 for it, seems like quite the markup.

The way I see it is if I can go to Walmart and get a android phone for 20-30 dollars (cheap phones), a companny should be able to do some smart item for double that easy.

I wish case was around 100 dollars for it.  At that price I would jump on it.  But 200 not sure I want it bad enough.

I have a Case on order and will publish a full review when it comes in. Right now I see no major advantage to the Case over using the combination of Mycelium on your phone plus Trezor. I think the Mycelium + Trezor would actually be more secure than the Case since you have full control of your private keys. Let's kick the tires when the Case comes in I will give it a thorough test.

Case looked to have a camera.  That is pretty nice scan a QR code of an android.  I give it a serious pro on having camera.  But not sure it's 100 dollar advantage over trezor.

I look foward to a review.  Does case work over wifi?   They did not show it being connected via usb when sending.

No wifi needed. Case works over the mobile phone network with 183 mobile carriers in 109 countries. It has a built in GSM chip and there are no monthly fees. Case comes with free global Internet access for the life of the device so I think they priced it high enough they can absorb carrier fees.

Interesting I can see why they would need to charge a good amount for that feature.  That is kinda a gamechanger having GSM.

What I want to see is what a man in middle attack looks like on one of these. GSM is not 100 percent safe - http://www.wired.com/2010/07/intercepting-cell-phone-calls/
7646  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER C1 Discussion and Support Thread on: July 28, 2015, 06:43:45 PM
@tbolt  Thanks for the pictures of the C2 Hash Boards.  They show the familiar TPS53355 Buck Converters used in the S1, S3 & S3+ Miners. Sort of what I expected to see but the issue is that these set the voltage with a potential divider, as adjusted by the pencil mod etc, and without some additional circuitry of which there is not sign, they are not programmable by the software.  Huh

I assume these are not pictures of your actual C1 so there is still a slim possibility that there is a different version of the hash board that crops up in some units? However for the moment I remain confused...

Rich

Those are stock photos.  But from spending a few hours re-pasting I can tell you that is what all 4 look like.

But also add the water cooling blocks, and equipment.  They fit 4 blades in the case with using water cooling.

BUMP. Help me BadBear.

And back of the queue you go (joking partially).  Honestly I'm sure you are on his list.   I think the constant bumping/bugging  him is not helping you.

I could be wrong and it helps.  But honestly give it a week see what happens.

A week would be too long. I need my account for some trades and other things.
Now would you not be allowed to say use the account you are posting from now in order to trade with people?

I think what this one comes down to is it appears to be a account might have bought/not original owner.    On a year old account you can only sign on a message: July 22, 2015, 03:47:46 PM

If you could do email or message older I'm sure it would be easier for admins.

Lets go back much more.  Can you sign with this address:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=598531.msg6585803#msg6585803

I would trade if only my BTC deposit would show up in my account....

Bitcoin prices have gotten higher so I understand why they need to cap it...probably getting too expensive. They just need to keep the good posters and dump the rest long term  Tongue

i believe they added too many new users recently, we do not need all those users sincerely, better to have few very active users than 20-30 that cannot be controlled in the same way and lead to spam

I have always been treated well in past.  So I hope that continues in future I would hope it does.

If you see post above Amph it's a example of someone buying a account and joining trying to make money (most likely).  I hope we go to taking care of current users and keeping it the best sig campaign around.   I think taking care of current users should be above adding more people.   How it currently is and still seeing on front "
Available Spots! in ~1 to 2 weeks"  scares me.

Guess we will see but I'm in agreement with Amph on keeping current high quality users over trying to keep expanding.  I liked it where it was officially closed and based on person not opening for a batch of people.

Still the best campaign and has treated me well.  I only wish it well.

ofcourse! this is the way it's segmented
my fault Smiley

No problem at all Smiley.  Its easy to get those of on the start, common to accidentally do.

So was put in with right start so no harm was done.  Good luck to all!

Didn't marco say that the limit is only for the period when he's not here? Guys, you can't barely read.
It's because he can't check your posts when he's away, so one can post like 1000 freakin' spammy posts and get more than 1 BTC payment.

No... Bitcoin Boy is still here so it is being monitored.  If you did try to spam either he or admins will catch it.  You can get temp banned from forums for crap posts, or spamming or negative feedback for it.

This user was recently suspected of being a alt by a admin - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=266213 .  Notice how he is no longer in campaign.  So it is being watched still...

Do you see that bumping once a day might be a bit much?  Are you also PMing each day aswell?

I think he was looking at evidence last we heard.  You can't blame admins for being careful.  If you would know email and use email you signed up with you would already have it chances are.   And it also did not have an address staked.  Those two things would have made it much quicker.

7655  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cloud Mining - Please help a newbie on: July 28, 2015, 04:49:43 PM
cloudmining today is either scam, not profitable or both. I'd stay away from it, there are better investments with high risk / decent rewards

Could you please suggest some better investments with high risk / decent rewards ?

Mining where it is cheap electricity, or a good cloud sites.  Not all are scams, I trust two personally sadly yes most are scams.

But other is investing in altcoins (highly risky), or other trading.  Or if you have a good skill you can sell it to others here.

Except for Cex.IO, which own the pool Ghash.IO, all other cloud mining site are equally shady.

Alt coins are just gambling. They are not investment.

Selling skill is earning. That is not an investment. I asked where the earned coins can be securely invested. By security, I dont mean that I can not lose. I know every investment comes with a risk. I only wanna make sure that the service wont evaporate overnight with my coin, the kind of guarantee I get at services like BitPay, CoinBase, Circle etc.

I only trust 2 sites on cloud.  On this I always say make your own choice, do research.

I trust hashnest which is controlled by Bitmain and has Bitmain Hardware behind it.  So we know some about it's tech.

Other is Bit-X it is known to be ran by BitFury Hardware.   So again know some about it's tech.

Those are two I have a little.  I mostly enjoy hardware in my mining areas though.

Trezor is most tested/popular as far as hardware wallet out there.  It is not cheap but most tested for sure.

Also keep in mind paper wallets.  Honestly a good paper wallet is hard to beat.   Just makes it harder to spend though.

What makes it a "good paper wallet" , isn't a paperwallet like any other paperwallet? I mean you just head tothe website , print it and keep it somewhere safe. you can't compare between different Paper-wallets

Printing it at home and not in public for one.  Clearing cache of printer where it is not in it.   The dumber the printer honestly the better security.

You need to keep it safe as far as where you put it.  Other big thing is when you use do it safely.  If you get the wallet loaded on a computer that is used for web surfing it could be bad.  Your paper wallet is only as safe as the computer you load it on eventually.
7658  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best way to earn Bitcoins? on: July 28, 2015, 03:48:51 PM
For me best way to earn bitcoin are signature campaign, pay per click service that paid with bitcoin like bitmedia.io or a-ads, sell your own skill on fiverr they're accepted bitcoin to
and sell your stuff on cryptothrift

The best way to earn bitcoin is...
Get a full time job any buy yourself some bitcoins.
You are not earned from doing that, you only bought a coins, not totally earned. I think you should get a job here in this forum like selling your services or joining in signature campaign then sell it or exhcange it into fiat money. Thats the way.

You could earn USD.  Buy BTC if it goes up in value technically you gain value.  So does not gain BTC, but gain on when it goes up in value.

For me mining, and sig campaign are main things.  Sig campaigns is because I am always on the board lurking.
Yes most of users are joined or participated in signature campaign because it is the easiest way and even if have a risk, is not big like other things that you can used like trading or investing.

There are two main risks with sig campaigns.  One is that the campaign goes broke and you don't get paid.  Most sig campaigns do not do this as it looks bad they normally do a good job ending when it's time.

Second is bigger and more common now.   So many new people sadly spam the forums with crap posts.  They do not realize sig campaign means you HAVE to have high quality posts.  The "+1" and one liners will get you a temp ban and possibly neg feedback.  So not a monetary risk... but a risk.

Very nice. 277W @ the wall for 455GH/S is excellent. You have an a miner that is doing 0.6J/GH quite a bit better than an unmodified S3+ consuming 355W giving 0.78J/GH. It's a pity that the S3++ was not generally available...

Dang wish the S3+ did this I would have been able to keep them a decent amount longer if I had gotten specs like that.  That is for sure worth giving it another +.

Wish they would have sold them to us little guys after hearing how it preforms.
