I think we should let them pick up all the dust transactions, and let Bitcoin itself become an efficient store of wealth.

Fiat currencies are now unsustainable, and will be repaced. There will probably be a mix of alternatives for quite a while. Contenders are SDRs Crypto-currencies, Gold, Silver, Gold backed Rubles, Gold backed Renminbi, and a few others. There is even a move to use small copper ingots. Hopefully Bitcoin will remain the leader of the crypto-currencies.

Whoops, I must have mistyped the address ages ago, and I've just been clicking on the screen capture on the firefox page. My posts seem to have been submitted without problem in the past.
Thanks for your post - I'll use the org from now on.

How many of you guys leave Cortana in your Windows systems. Cortana is Microsofts keyboard logger and data harvesting program. How about Bluetoothe - do you leave that enabled, and the near field connections. I send back any contactless credit or debit cards, but most people seem to be content to use them.
Packt Publishing have an ebook on Using Lali Linux for WiFi penetration testing. It's probably worth setting up an old netbook to explore this topic if you are really worried.

Any barrier that discourages new entrants to the mining field is bad for Bitcoin in my opinion.

I seem to remeber reading a report that a lot of Chinese mining was using stolen electricity, but I don't know how old that report is, and I can't find the reference. However, it has been commented on this forum that many Chinese miners are now mining outside China. It would also appear that mining is on the increase in Venezuela as people there try to earn some extra income.

I'm posting this on Bitcointalk.org, as I assume that is a mirror site. The error I'm getting is - Error 502 Ray ID: 3bdaa8d6f3583683 • 2017-11-14 14:28:50 UTC
This is with two different WiFi providers in different geographic locations.
Is this a server problem, and am I OK posting to the .org forum?

Why does it have to be a battle? In fiat, you have Strerling, US Dollar, Euro, Renminbi, Ruble and others. They all co-exist, can't we have the same in crypto-currencies?

I suspect that there may be a number of people who have the same stance as me. I sell domain names and try to acquire Bitcoin as a store of wealth. I have been given some Bitcoin cash ( not a lot), and I always accept free money. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) I'll run a BCC node to claim my small holding, and I'll have a look to see if I can spend it. If I can find a domain registrar that will accept BCC, then I might start accepting BCC for minor domain name sales. I won't be keeping BCC as astore of wealth though. It has made me think of running a wallet for another alt - either from a Bitcoin fork, or one of the more established alts.

There is a simple answer to all this - don't trust anybody.

I'm thinking of copying the relevant part of the blockchain onto an SSD, and then running a Bitcoin Cash node on a different computer. I've read that there can be problems if you try to run both nodes on the same computer, so this seems to be a safer option. To me, it seems that the easiest option would be to add my Bitcoin address into my Cash wallet, and send the funds into the new address. I could then delete the address for the "true" Bitcoin. Are there any security risksin doing this?

I'm a bit confused here. If it has received one confirmation, then it must have been included in a block, and the confirmations will build on this. The only way it won't increase is if the transaction went into an orphan block, and then the transaction has to be returned to the pool.
Have I misunderstood something?

It looks as if I missed out, my last Bitcoin acquisition was on the 2nd of November. Oh well. it wasn't particularly large anyway.

Bitcoin cash will always be in the shadows if it keeps that name. If they want to become an established player, they need a catchy name, and now would be a good time to change it. A name like Fast Cash, would be good. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Nothing lasts forever in this journey through the universe. Even the gods change. Bitcoin has made it through the rocks after its launching. Now it has to avoid the pirates before it can set all sails in its quest for new trading ventures. Also, like all great religions, there will be schismatic groups following modified beliefs. Some will fail, and some will endure, but Bitcoin has the strengrh to endure and continue its journey into prosperity.

I've still got the little bit of BCH that I was given. It looks like a good time to switch it to Bitcoin. I don't want to start accepting it for domain sales, as I don't like the confusion resulting from the use of Bitcoin in its name.

I buy Bitcoin domain names, and sometimesI sell them for Bitcoin. For me, this is a profitable way to build a Bitcoin savings account.

I can't really think of any benefits that higher up member levels would need.
Maybe a board that doesn't allow sig spammers to post. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) A domain name sales forum would be handy as well - especially if it didn't allow registration service and hosting spamming.

Two path forks are so last month. What we need to do is to speed things up and have multi-path forks. four paths would be good for a start. That would give us four lines of coins instead of just two.

I'm one of the ones who has reduced posting and the reading of threads because of the sig spammers. The same tired old threads keep being bumped on the discussion board, and rubbish posts push the possibly interesting topics into the rubbish bin.
Who cares about banks versus Bitcoin - let ban that topic for a start. Perhaps we should have a separate board about Bitcoin price speculation. We don't know if it will be £10,000,000 or £10 next year, so lets just wait and see, or put all the threads into a spammers forum.
As a general rule, I don't continue to read threads once they have gone beyond 50 replies - note to sig programme managers. The spam threads after that point must be pretty useless, so why bother to pay for them.
