7661  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can you save money while playing gambling games? on: December 05, 2017, 08:44:26 AM
I suggest that when you receive Bitcoin, a part of it is saved in a cold storage wallet or a hardware wallet. Whatever you choose in order to have the best security in bitcoins because that is where you will keep everything. After securing a place for your savings in bitcoin, a part of its deposit in a site where you will gamble. For the meantime, at least it's for your safety, spend the bitcoins as long as you know the amount you're willing to lose. At least you are keeping some and not gambling it. Better control yourself with that.
7662  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling PRO CON on: December 05, 2017, 07:50:58 AM
The necessary thing to do if you have lost a lot of money is to stop immediately and probably start another day. I think you would know the things that you would do if you have knowledge and experience. I think you shouldn't keep on gambling especially if you are always losing. Avoid trying to gamble if you do not have a lot of money to spare and never use somebody else's money.

7664  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction. on: December 04, 2017, 11:15:39 PM
Why is someone get addicted to gambling once he gamble ?
Many people become addicted to gambling because gambling gives fun and easy money.

Well gambling more.often than not takes your money away. People should understand that even before they start making bets. Addiction comes in when you don't care anymore even if you know you're likely to lose. All that addicted people care about is playing
Yes, addicted people will have a lot of problems with themselves and sometimes with their families, they don't care if they lose a lot of money; they care only about playing, so it's not weird for them if they bet with his car or some metal after he lose all his money. They should be stopped.

That is really the bad side of gambling addiction, you may also ruin your relationship with your loved ones and especially your immediate family. But this is not really just limited to gambling, substance, alcohol, and other forms of addiction also may harm your family relations.
That is the hard part where you try to control yourself and your addiction controls you instead and like you said it, the loved ones would be hard on you knowing that you are prioritizing gambling instead of your family. I think all addictions can harm your family or someone that loves you and you tend to choose your addiction.

7666  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can gambling help you with your life? on: December 02, 2017, 12:40:05 PM
In this world anything can happen and maybe gambling can help someone in his life. But all along I've only seen people who have lost huge amounts of money and went bankrupt and depressed because of gambling.

Not all of the people's life could be help by playing gambling, 3 out of 10 people, that is the only count of people who are lucky in gambling so that they call gambling a way that helps with their lives, but this doesn't mean that it could also apply in our lives, we share different luck that is why you shouldn't think that gambling could really help you in your everyday living.
I posted on another thread about the odds of some people who win and lose at gambling.
I put it at 1 or 2 out of 10 people which sound about right with whom actually walk away with profit from gambling.
But was told that is inaccurate.
I really don't think my assumption is that off.
Is there a certain study, a specific one, probably psychology students would be the ones to conduct the experiment and see how many people are really willing to walk away with profit and others to still gamble. I believe that there are more people who would gamble their winnings and still hope to win more instead of people walking away with profit.
7667  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you know when to stop? on: December 02, 2017, 12:36:21 PM
When do you stop? Do you have a daily limit or something?

I'm not a gambler anymore but that's my life before my family is a gambler. So l have a little bit idea when to stop the game. I used to stop before when l feel that it's a bad day for me which l don't  win the game. I decern if lm gonna win or lose. So that l can manage on what lm doing. Not just go on and go on. I have to know when is the best timing to get my bet.
It's good to see that you have someone to help you guide in the right path, in your case, it's your family. If you are going to succumb to the temptation with gambling, then you won't be able to stop that habit. Your family can serve as the motivation so you could really stop the addiction that you have. I like what you said, discern in the things to do because it's a sign that you are not addicted.
7668  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did you learn from your gambling mistakes? on: December 02, 2017, 12:30:49 PM
Yes. I've learned a lot, even though I don't gamble a lot, I was excited for the previous Turkish presidency referendum - where a lot of vote fraud had happened - and then I betted on the 'No' vote for some amount. The ruling party had never lost a voting but I mixed it with my feelings and lost, lesson learnt.
So you are saying that they cheated with it? And that is the reason why they don't have yet lost in a voting thing? I think that's just sad knowing that they are doing that to the people. Mixing emotions with decisions won't be so good because it tends to be not aligned with what you know and what the feelings tell you.

7670  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do people still play dice? on: December 01, 2017, 09:12:59 AM
For me they played dice because eeven though they know that there's a house edge but atleast they can still earn from it because they can really have some profits if their time or luck will come
Well that is the case with all of the Gambling games. If someone is lucky then regardless of what he is going to play, he will win. As slot and roulette are also luck dependent and having luck lady on one’s side is all that is needed in such games. Everyone has his own taste.

People who play dice definitely like this game or they are good at playing this according to themselves. Plus I think it is much fun to play time dice than any of its kind.
I think it's lady luck, but I guess that's your choice. Lady luck has some timing concerning the times and chances that you could take. If you are going to think about the possibility of being lucky all the time, then there is no lady luck. Dice is for sure, one of the easiest gambling games that you could play, especially online if you don't want to go outside or anything.
7671  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why trading is better than gambling? on: December 01, 2017, 09:08:13 AM
Investor will understand there is huge risk involved in gambling. So it is better to invest in trading because even though it take time but you will good return in long run through trading.

Yes and in trading you can have total control on your funds which is never possible with gambling as once you put a bet you cannot reversed it and either you win or you loose depending on your luck but in trading if you see that price is falling you can withdraw it any time and minimize the loss.

We should know that gambling is for fun not as a source of income that trading can give when we focused on it. Having knowledge on trading and a capital can really give us earning especially if a day trader,  we might not get earnings in gambling all the time but atleast we enjoyed the game.
That's the basic rule for gambling, never treat it as a source of income, it would just make yourself lose money and no assurance in getting back your investments either. The capital would be hard to get back, but it's still worth to try, but as long as you don't get addicted to it and giving yourself limits, then there's nothing to be worried about, right?
7672  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can maths help you win in gambling ? on: December 01, 2017, 08:10:42 AM
I think it helps with roulette a bit. Of course it depends on luck but I'm talking only about the "help". Also I think if you are a math person you have better options of being a good poker player.  Smiley

Well it really boils down to what game you're going to use math on. It certainly won't help you on games that's purely luck reliant like dice and slots. Aside from calculating the money you're going to burn of course.
Yes gambling is far from calculating and math is not an option when we play gambling. Gambling games rely solely on luck and that is a matter of course. If you see anyone saying that he can win the gambling with the help of mathematical calculations then it is a lie !! do not believe and use your mind!

So you want to tell me that all casino owners are the luckiest people on the planet, as they allays win!
You are sooo wrong.. you say "gambling is pure luck" then "use your brain"...
What you mean? That you can use your brain to be lucky?!?!?

All games of chance are 100% pure math, so casino owners are using math in order to win 100% guarantee.
There is no luck in this.
If you know what math is and how to use it, then it will help you, if you don't => nothing will help you.

If math’s is that great that it can tell future with hundred percent accuracy then why you don’t just gamble and win every bet. This way you will become the world's richest person in no time, believe me.

As far as the owners of the casino or gambling websites are concerned, they are the owner which means they can win all the games they play as that is their yard. They are the king of that Empire. However I don't think they gamble and nothing can predict luck or future.
If you know something about probability, then you can never predict something a hundred percent, unless you are cheating. If that happens and you are really lucky that you predicted every bet that you have, then like you said, it would make you rich, but probably not the richest person. If they cheat on you, then that's something sketchy about it and you can never really check it right away.
7673  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your reason to gamble? Fun or profit? on: December 01, 2017, 07:17:42 AM
Do you gamble for fun or for profit?

I gamble for fun and profit for me is only secondary. I think that gambling is made purely for fun and no people would ever get rich just by playing just because more often than not it would make you lose a lot of money and that is not profitable
That's what we all say, then we only want it for fun, but in reality, it's all about profit deep inside. Whether you like it or not, the genes that we have as humans bare that we are attached to gaining benefits from the things that we do in life. Whether it's just gambling or giving a favor to a friend, we want that "benefit" or something to be given to us.

7676  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your reason to gamble? Fun or profit? on: November 30, 2017, 02:36:32 PM

Yes, I gamble for fun and for some profit. I really think that gambling is created for entertainment and profit. However, gambling is addicting. So, we should learn to limit ourselves when gambling.

Satisfied with small/make sense profit or stopped as soon as we lost the money we can borne, could be the best practice to take to avoid future regret.
or else if you try to double your funds at once it can hurt you a lot but if you try to gain a profit of only
10% everytime you gamble after 10 times you easily double your money thats what you should do in
gambling try to get a smaller profit couple of times so that it doesnt hurt you
Are you sure it could work smoothly? As the more often you play the more chance you to get lost in bigger amount.
By doing that you will only delay your losing time , you might bet safer but still you cannit beat the house edge for long term.
Do gamble once a month and you might could feel the real gamble for having fun .
There is no assurance in any gambling because knowing that you could just gamble and experiment with your money, the risk is your enemy. You won't really know what could happen unless you have done something about it. It's all about having fun but deep inside, there is the profit.
7677  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Miss Universe Betting Odds on: November 30, 2017, 12:54:11 PM
Haha, who said gambling is always so serious yeah? Never took interest in this pageant, to be honest, think it's far too rigged to make for interesting viewing but this is probably a first for crypto (am I wrong?) so kudos no Nitrogen.

Just commenting on the odds... barely 4.x on the favourites so makes even less interesting to bet. Comments on the contestants... Miss Thailand and Miss Philippines look extremely unrepresentative of the Thais and Filipinas I know and see... but I suppose only nationality and not ethnicity is important here.

My feeling this year is Southeast Asian winner. Not that it'd make me proud.

How about a gambling option for Mr universe, eh?
I don't think it is rigged or something because it's just doesn't make sense for them to do that and it will be really obvious. Since you don't know the pageant and the event, it's safe to say that it's just a speculation. The Miss universe pageant is already done also so no point in saying your choice.
7678  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Relationships! on: November 29, 2017, 07:09:36 AM
Anyone who has ever been or are in a committed relationship or marriage where both people gamble? Or in a relationship with a gambler with a friend, best friend, family related etc...  Knowing you are in it together is weird comforting and gives me some sort of undefined explanation.

What does that look like for you? Your experience needs to be heard.

I have a friend whose both parents gamble on a daily-basis. Fortunately for him, his aunt took care of him while growing up and by even paying for all the expenses. From what I heard, his parents are drowned in debt and about to lose their house if they do not pay the bank by next year. Luckily, my friend never bore any grudge from his parents, considering the circumstances that happened and he even offered to pay for the debt. What I learned is that, gambling can really destroy your life and affect everyone in your surroundings especially when it gets out of control.
Ouch. That's actually a different side to this. Some may find it romantic and perfect that two people have have the same interests, in this case gambling, but are too endulged in it that if they have a family, it gets neglected. The cbildren usually are the ones who'll suffer
I fully support you. I liked that you showed the reality instead of fantasizing things. If both the partners will start gambling and the worst case scenario that both are gambling addicts then who is going to look after the children.

Definitely they are going to face lone lines sand suffer a lot. Kids demand extra attention and only if sufficient love is provided to them then they can turn into emotionally stable positive people.
I agree but with the current situation that we have (depending on your relationship whether you have a girlfriend or boyfriend) it's the relationship, it is their thing to handle but it should be followed correctly and they need to be smart with their decisions. If it's gambling that you have a problem, you definitely need to address to correct it because it might just get your behind to be bitten.
7679  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin gambling is legal? on: November 29, 2017, 12:08:36 AM
In my country betting online is illegal.
Bitcoin is illegal.
But I still gamble with btc fuck  Grin Grin Grin

In what country do you live? You are using VPN for it right? If your country founds out that you are gambling and you are using bitcoin, you will be fined and charge for two things. Be careful.
In some bitcoin gambling is illegal and some it is not prohibited.
I agree with tabas that you should use VPN for good protection and you wouldn't be easily caught if they know someone is gambling or use bitcoin. I don't know why they make bitcoin illegal when it's definitely helpful especially when the technology behind it is really great, which is the blockchain.
7680  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Excuses on: November 29, 2017, 12:04:52 AM
Gamble away moneys that isnt yours? bad idea..
Gambling should be for fun purposes only Cheesy
This is the kind of gamblers that I pity the most. Even after losing their own wealth, they don't understand one simple fact about gambling that it can ruin life. Trying to recover the loss with the same game with someone's money is like adding further fuel to the fire. Gambling itself is fuel into the fire when gambler is an unstable person financially.
Gambling will never solve any problem , especially a money problem involve debts.
You will ony make everything ruined more than what it was , it is so risky and even more to harmful.
So stay away from gambling when you think you cannot make a plan and obey on it later.
Nothing can be solved with gambling knowing that it would just make you more trouble than good. That's if you cannot control yourself and you wouldn't know what to do with the current situation. You could avoid that if you didn't put much effort with the gambling that you get addicted. If you would like, there are ways to really stop gambling, you could just apply it to you and hopefully it would help you stop.
