7681  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-09-18]Bitcoin Not Involved In Major US$40m Fraud Scheme on: September 18, 2016, 11:03:30 PM
this article is kinda attacking the traditional finance and defending bitcoin Wink
like this sentence: " For once, Bitcoin was not involved in this fraud scheme."
and this one
Quote
All of this goes to show the majority of fraud cases are made possible thanks to existing financial services... Traditional finance continues to make illegal activity and fraud possible, whereas Bitcoin has no role to play in the process.
7682  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Is it possible to create a cold storage wallet online ? on: September 18, 2016, 10:55:38 PM
Take a look at actual online wallets, such as blockchain.info for instance. Is that possible to create the same type of online website but that allows cold storage wallets creation ?

didn't really understand what do you mean but from what i understood yes you can create a cold storage wallets and put it in an online service just like coinbase, xapo and blockchain.info if i am not wrong...etc
theses services offers a hot and a cold wallets called vault
if you mean creating by your own a service offering only a cold storage then i would ask what is the point? i can put my money in my secured pc or hardware and be much safer

EDIT: vault*
7683  Economy / Speculation / Re: What Bitcoin will be worth in July 2017 ? on: September 18, 2016, 10:09:08 PM
Cast your vote with your bitcoin price prediction for the year 2017

$800 to $1,000 as the majority predicted until now  Smiley
And in order to get this price we need a bigger adoption, trade volume and a nice events  Wink
7684  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Was there ever a profitable cloud mining site? on: September 18, 2016, 10:39:18 AM
So I ask this. Was there ever a profitable cloud mining site? Is there one now? Please post your answers and I will try to do my research on your service to see if what you are saying is true.

By posting your favorite cloud mining site here, we have to first assume that they are not profitable and have to be proven otherwise.

Back to two years, i remember seeing people talking about cloudmining and how profitable it is, of course it doesn't mean making thousands of dollars  Wink
I didn't have bitcoin that time nor the experience to search about how legitimate/profitable they are but the two that comes in my mind are : cex io (closed) and the bitmain's PACMIC +/- genesis mining
For now it is hard for me to believe that there is a profitable cloud mining after the halving and the increasing difficulty...
7685  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-09-17] Steam Switched Back to Zero-Confirmation Bitcoin Transactions on: September 18, 2016, 10:16:38 AM
Well, BitPay handles the incoming Bitcoin transactions from the beginning till the end. Steam has no saying in this process. Steam just receives a notification including the payment ID from BitPay as soon as the transaction is accepted from BitPay's side. From there Steam releases whatever item the person has bought.

Then bitpay has to be careful and for sure it will filter the incoming transactions as you said and divide it by their probability to confirm. I think it is still a risky adventure from their side

7687  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-09-17] Steam Switched Back to Zero-Confirmation Bitcoin Transactions on: September 17, 2016, 03:04:21 PM
Even though they are now allowing zero confirmation transactions to come through, that doesn't mean that it will lead to instant purchases. BitPay places every incoming transaction in a certain category ranging from a potential double spend risk, to no double spend risk at all. It all depends on the fee that is included. If the fee is well below average, then they won't let the payment come through untill it has at least 1 confirmation, I am 100% sure of that.

Yes, i have exactly the same opinion here, otherwise in case of a double spend or any other cause that lead to reject the transaction then i think steam will interfere in some point to oblige the user to resend the payment..

7697  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-09-14] Romania’s First Bitcoin Exchange Shuts Down, Again on: September 14, 2016, 07:59:37 PM
1 BTC fees then 2 BTC fees in order to get informations and buy the exchange...

he spoke about the “high responsibility” that comes with managing user’s money in the exchange, specifically after the recent Bitfinex hack.

Apparently this isn't the only reason that will make someone close his work especially if it is “highly profitable” as he said, he could use an insurance...etc
7698  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-09-14]The Water Project Receives An Anonymous Bitcoin Donation ... on: September 14, 2016, 07:47:29 PM

7699  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Hillary Clinton faints at 9/11 Memorial. Is sick with "Pneumonia" on: September 13, 2016, 09:46:33 PM
i don't understand why people give too much attention to this pneumonia history

First it was overheating.

Then it was pneumonia.

What will it be tomorrow ?

Overheating and cough are the frequent symptoms of the pneumonia and as i mentioned it is frequent and may cause harm (death) to few people mainly the old one with immunodeficiency, is it the case for that women?
Btw overheating could cause seizure but generally for children
