7701  Economy / Reputation / Re: Abuse due to revenge? on: February 22, 2019, 09:37:04 PM
I have one question. Are there cases on the forum when an honest user is framed by scammers.

If you aren't asking specifically for your example then here is a situation when framing happened and it got resolved but it doesn't happen more often.

I just stumbled upon a proven case of framing someone for plagiarism:
The scammer can take the original text from the forum, post on his website changing the date and write a complaint, and also delete it by editing it. We need to study this problem.

Back to your example,
For example, <***>

The account tagged has to try his best avoiding tagging by other members and appeal the tagged from the user that framed him then expose scammer with valid evidence when he try to ask for a random or give a reason why he framed you, you should also open a thread trying to convince DT members on Reputation board that the transaction was done without your concept

feedbacks which aren't from DT members have little effect on your trust score that's why you have to focus on convincing DT members you're been framed so you don't get tagged by them.

7702  Economy / Reputation / Re: ★ We want @marlboroza on DT1 again ★ on: February 22, 2019, 05:00:22 PM
I voted No
Reason, the new DT system needs users who're not just actively bursting scammers but willing to accept the responsibility of a DT member which includes participating in the politics aspect associated with it. You don't vote someone into power to handle a position he has started publicly that he isn't interested. marlboroza feedbacks are accurate and impressive but let's just respect his decision and hope, maybe he'll change his decision someday.
7703  Other / Meta / Re: [Proposal] Enhance the requirements for ranking up to Member position on: February 22, 2019, 02:57:08 PM
Saw your topic then remembered I gave similar suggestion sometime ago and here it is;
If you ask me, the jnr and member rank, needs more adjustment the rest are just OK. something like this.

Jnr = 10
Member= 50

I don't mind theymos increasing other ranks too.  Bitcoin is going nowhere anytime soon so is the forum. we'll surely get to those ranks we admire if we post right and have patience. Is better to be slow and sure then to be fast and fall (red tagged)

The high stats coming from jnr member and member ranks is due to the facts that most bounty hunters prefer owning multiple accounts than building on one account and the merit criteria for those two ranks mentioned above make it easier for them to achieve that.

A bounty hunter will prefer earning 100merits distributed among 10 accounts ranking those accounts to member then just building on one account. But if the member rank merit requirements was increase it'll decrease such act.

I don't support demoting any user but I'm in support of increasing the merit requirements for member rank most especially and maybe jnr member too.

7704  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Influence of other countries on: February 22, 2019, 02:09:39 PM
The only two possible punishment I can think of is sanctions to the country in general that's if the party that won the election politicians were involved or in support of the statements and it lead to disobeying of law or rules.

Secondly, Direct punishment to the politicians involved, it could be restricting them and their relations (family members) from recieving visa to enter into their country.
7705  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Buy a copper membership on: February 22, 2019, 01:34:09 PM
If you're feeling generous and would like to support the forum, consider it a donation.

A donation to you not a donation to the forum because from what I read the forum isn't lacking fund and the only fund the forum recognized as donations is the 10BTC special donation and 50BTC VIP donations that can be found Here.

Plus, you have an extra Copper member title as a bragging right Cheesy

Don't buy just because of this, beside on the forum things worth bragging about are usually earned not bought *wink*
7706  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: merit on: February 21, 2019, 10:06:01 PM
Hi , Sorry don’t want to spam, but I received my first merit, and not knowing fill forum etiquette, do I thank the person who donated it ? Thanks

Merit aren't meant for donations, it was created as a reward system for quality posts although in your case it could be considered as a gift as meriter might have merited you just because he agrees to your reply. So you can go thank him Grin but it isn't necessary.

BTW: I thanked the user that sent me my first merit Shocked because I was very happy and even started a thread titled 'Merits, who else feels the same way I do when merited?" When the merit started coming in their numbers.

How do I get merit ؟؟

You won't get merits for sure with that post history of yours. Each time I see a newbie asking merit related question I most time review users account trying to see if I can find merit worth post that must've been missed by meriters due to some obvious reasons like low rank or on ignore list but in your case I couldn't find any post.

Adding to what others have said, your english is ok now you need to work on making your posts more presentable and understandable.
7707  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Buy a copper membership on: February 21, 2019, 02:35:55 PM
I want to buy copper membership
would you advise me to buy them ?

Why do you want a copper membership account, if it's to join paid signature campaign as you have earlier showed interest Here then Buddy, you're painting a picture of a very disparate user wanting to join a paid signature campaign and this isn't a right image to portray.

Since you're already a jnr member and can post images I wouldn't recommend you buy it instead grow your account because looking at your post history I would say earning 10merit won't be easy for your account due to the board you're actively posting in and your style/quality of post. I won't also advise you buy a copper membership because if most quality campaign managers review your post history they will not accept your application.

Therefore don't take a short cut because it might do you no good. Get the experience of earning 10merits (9 more to go) and increase your post quality before thinking of earning from the forum.

Although if you had other intention apart from joining paid signature with copper membership (since I don't know all the privileges of a copper member) then it's ok to buy one
7708  Other / Politics & Society / Re: From what I see democrats are at fault on: February 21, 2019, 11:54:47 AM
Republicans are at fault... for not stopping the Democrats.

 Grin

Lol😂 nice one but don't think they have the numbers to stop them
<***>
Is this whole Dem/Rep operation being held in place by rich banker propaganda, so that the people don't see what a scam Ponzi the banking system is, and drop it for something like Bitcoin?
Cool

I would say yes but again I don't think bitcoin is ready for global adoption. Bitcoin needs to put itself in order, there are many disadvantage bitcoin will experience if it open its hands to the world. Lets get things right as a small community before asking for bigger audience.
7709  Other / Meta / Re: How can we protect Newbies from getting scammed? on: February 21, 2019, 08:12:59 AM
A welcome PM from forum to all newbie could go a long way to warn them about scammers on forum. When a new user creates an account and login a PM should be sent welcoming them to the forum and warning him/her e.g "Welcome to the forum (username). Don't believe any offer or click on any links sent to you through PM's, all transactions should be carried out openly on threads to prevent possible scam attempt". in addition to any other important information the forum want to info the users about.

Surely it isn't just the newbie account that include scammers. In fact, it's probably more likely that purchased senior accounts will be scammers.

If purchase accounts get scammed I don't think it's the forum problem they deserve it because you can find warning all over the forum discouraging account farming. And those users involved in account farmingare looking for short cuts to earning therefore deserve whatever they gets be it red tagged, scammed or ban.
7710  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: ★ Gambling vs Forex vs Crypto Trading ★ on: February 21, 2019, 05:08:10 AM
Crypto trading any time any day.
Gambling - comes with a problem of addiction... Can be good for entertainment/fun
Stock trading - requires a lot of skill to be a good trader.

All of the three method of earning mentioned above comes with a problem of addiction but gambling is more destructive. Also all the three method mentioned above also requires some level of skills and luck for you to be successful at them so they're in the same bracket. You just have to keep your emotions in check when participating in any of them to avoid making wrong decisions.
7711  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: cabalism13's Tips on Building A Trusted Profile on: February 20, 2019, 10:18:27 PM
I get it that you're trying to help but what are the source of this advice? Since you said you aren't qualified to give the advice (which technical you aren't) then where did you get the advice from? I believe in the saying you can't give what you don't have and since you don't have a reputation on your account don't you think this advice is coming from the wrong user. You first have to build your reputation before you advice others on reputation building, just as you did in your cabalism13's Activity Tips on Ranking. You need a reputation to back this advice up.

Not asking you to go looking for trust farming/swapping but at least your profile has to serve as as example for every advice relating to forum you give, to proof the tips/advice actually works.
7712  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Money Laundering Operations? on: February 20, 2019, 06:29:33 PM
I didn't know similar thread has already been started on this board. i also saw the transactions and had asked same question on the mining board titled, Are miners laundering money or these are honest mistakes by senders. thinking it was also money laundering but just as DdmrDdmr has started "the automatic bot went wrong" could be the closest answer to the mysterious extremely high transaction fee or maybe  Nanopool and Ethermine are playing with the ethereum blockchain lol Grin.
7713  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Are miners laundering money or these are honest mistakes by senders. on: February 20, 2019, 06:24:46 PM
I just discovered there's another thread that the topic is been discussed on, at the beginner and help board so I see no point in keeping this one open but just want to drop a reply from DdmrDdmr and lock topic. Anyone interested in the topic can visit that board and continue in the disscussion there.

The hypothesis now are more inclined for it to be an "automated bot that went wrong". In the meantime, Sparkpool has frozen the payout and is giving the TX sender a chance to contact them to find a reasonable solution (see https://www.coindesk.com/sparkpool-to-freeze-mysterious-2100-ether-mining-payout-for-now).

The other four high fee TXs from the same origin were paid out to Nanopool and Ethermine, who yet have to make a pronouncement on the matter.
7714  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Are miners laundering money or these are honest mistakes by senders. on: February 20, 2019, 02:42:10 PM
Saw a post on Facebook, the poster was laughing at a transaction on ethscan with 2100 ETH ($305,603) as transaction fee and 0.1ETH as sent amount. most commenter concluded it was a mistake but I had some doubt and decided to research further then found a Reddit post on the same issue providing other transaction ID.

Transaction fee, 2100 ETH: https://etherscan.io/tx/0x1f73b43dc9c48cc131a931fac7095de9e5eba0c5184ec0c5c5f1f32efa2a6bab

Transaction fee 840 ETH: https://etherscan.io/tx/0xc3e6f47ffa1b1e0bf926d5727e1adedac595d24cc4fa9b2f271d35566fdaf8d6

Transaction fee, 420 ETH: https://etherscan.io/tx/0xcb59748b9b7b9732f04b66dde0009a1e4856a50ed8ff68a0dedbaa5e57807d31

Transaction fee, 210 ETH: https://etherscan.io/tx/0x5691ddae752652bd579da5b45e84d5b90ae35acce5cbd308a1574c31f722608f

Also there's a claim that those transactions fees have been collected by the same miner but since I don't have any idea on mining I can't disprove or verify that claim, that's why I started this thread. I need clarification.

Is this some act of money laundering or honest mistakes from address holders, what could be the possible reason for all this transactions to send such extremely high fee in the period of 48hours.
7715  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2018-2019 on: February 20, 2019, 01:23:09 PM
Let's just lookout for today's matches, hopefully we'd see a different results

Sure the last both games ended on a disappointing note as they both ended goalless but it wasn't that boring to watch if you ask me. I enjoyed Lyon vs barca most especially and as for tonight game I see a narrow win for juventus, scoreline A.madrid 1 - 2 Juventus with CR7 scoring 1 or assisting 1.
7716  Other / Meta / Re: Member defined rank restriction on thread replies on: February 20, 2019, 12:54:45 PM
The suggestion isn't a bad one but don't we have specific board for that purpose already? If you're starting a thread and you want only the opinion of higher rank users I guess that most be a serious discussion and it can be posted on the Ivory Tower board for full member above to air their views and if you're looking for lower rank replies (minus newbies) then the serious discussion will give you replies from jnr members above.

Again let's not forget those boards with rank restrictions aren't that active and the same thing might occur to the self moderated topics with rank restrictions

Also I see a big disadvantage to this because it might get abuse, higher rank users might start creating threads just for themselves and this will deprived the lower rank users with quality at hand to contribute/interact with the higher rank users and possibly get reward with merit to rank up.

7718  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: ★ Gambling vs Forex vs Crypto Trading ★ on: February 20, 2019, 12:26:21 PM
Let me point out that participanting in Forex and Crypto trading without any skills or little knowledge is also regards as gambling, that been side gambling is an actively totally dependant on luck and sometimes experience/skills.

My opinion: the favorite among the three forms of earning mentioned above is crypto trading, it's the easiest to learn therefore I'll suggest anyone interested in earning from the three of them should go try this order, First crypto trading next to Forex/stock trading and finally Gambling ( should be used mostly for having fun that way your losses won't cause much emotional damage).

The truth is, you can earn from all three forms of online earning mentioned above.
7719  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beginners & Help – sMerit Distribution Summary on: February 19, 2019, 11:37:59 PM
If I understood clearing from the meriter and merited ranking statistics it means I have received 51merit lately from board and sent 34 smerits right? If that's correct that means I'm even doing much better then I taught in times of sending smerits.

I enjoy posting and reading topics on this board that's why it's one of my most active boards. I feel the users mostly using this board are those in seek of knowledge or helping others out. The board is so innocent and haven't yet been corrupt.

Thanks DdmrDdmr for such a great analysis at least we're doing a great job on the board, hope it remains like this for a very long time.
7720  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it possible buy BTC at lower price than exhange? on: February 19, 2019, 09:29:08 PM
You can still do that on most exchange, set a buy order lower than the actual market price, e.g 1BTC is $3600 and you want to buy at $3500 you just have to set your buy order to $3500 and when bitcoin drops in price your order will be executed. If you want an instant trade  or don't want to use an exchange, you can make use of the Currency exchange board, start a thread there stating the price you want to trade for or buy the coin at and hopefully you'll find someone interested but note scamming is real.
