7741  Economy / Speculation / Re: call an end to the rally on: May 14, 2011, 10:08:03 PM
Top = $8.9
Current price = $7.02
End of rally = $5.96

It's possible we could reach there.  The price dropped rather suddenly and drastically.  Who knows?

Either way, I'm still PLENTY happy with BTC being anywhere over $5.  Even over $3 is ok.
7742  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Warning: Bitcoin4Cash fraud! Won't ever do business with Madhatter again. on: May 14, 2011, 06:58:31 PM
I would suggest leaving some feedback for him here:

The manufacturing process is secure.

Nice statement... Roll Eyes As I guess you do not manufacture them yourself in the backyard - so which company actually handles the manufacturing?

Currently, I actually do do all of the final assembly myself. The only piece that involves another company is the printing of the card "blanks", but the actual private keys are still printed and inserted by myself. For security reasons, I will not describe the process specifics in great depth. In the near future, we will be adding more team members to help with assembly, but this will all still take place in-house.
I like the fact that the company head is the only person touching/knowing the private keys.  The fewer people involved in the process, the better, IMO.  Less chance for bad things to happen.
7744  Economy / Marketplace / Re: List of honest traders. on: May 14, 2011, 05:36:10 PM
ironwolf sold me a piece of software through a forum auction.  He kept his word, sent the software quickly, no complaints!  Also left him feedback at bitcoinfeedback.com.

Sorry lulz, but your feedback was not one of the first ten after this promo started!

Can I get .50 BTC for being the first one to give positive feedback?  Tongue Just joking, I'm glad to see all the new users at bitcoinfeedback.com Also being a Oregonian too, I can say we at least get a blue sky ONCE in a while during the summer. I hope today is one of those days. Yesterday was so nice.
I know... yesterday was an amazing day for once!  Here's to hoping summer will start soon...
7746  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Mining too profitable? on: May 14, 2011, 08:37:30 AM
Everyone needs to stop buying mining rigs.

Leave something for me.  Cheesy
7747  Economy / Marketplace / Re: 0.25 Free BTC! on: May 14, 2011, 08:28:12 AM
Ok, I also double-sent to seanpd16 and error.  Again, if you guys want to send back, that'd be cool, if not, I won't hate you for it.

I got the ID's of who was leaving the feedback vs who the feedback was being left for mixed up.  :\
7748  Economy / Marketplace / Re: 0.25 Free BTC! on: May 14, 2011, 08:23:48 AM

7749  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: API documentation? on: May 14, 2011, 03:37:06 AM
Ok, that answers my first question.  What about grabbing all of the previously used addresses?  Is there a best way to do that?
7750  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: API documentation? on: May 14, 2011, 03:30:52 AM
Thank you much!
7751  Economy / Marketplace / Re: 0.25 Free BTC! on: May 14, 2011, 03:28:31 AM
1and1 is still undergoing maintenance...   Roll Eyes
7752  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / API documentation? on: May 14, 2011, 12:52:13 AM
Looking to build a website that integrates actual bitcoin transactions.  What sort of documentation is there for the API for making transactions through php?

Also, say I wanted to dump all previously created bitcoin transactions into a MySQL database.  What would be the best way to do this and keep said database regularly updated with the latest transactions?

I could datamine from blockexplorer.com with some sort of a crawler, but I figure there's probably a better way to go about it.  Smiley
7753  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: UBX shares 12.5 x inital offer price!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! on: May 14, 2011, 12:47:49 AM

Pretty cool that there are already 4 companies being traded. I wonder what's with all of them eager to pay dividends right from the start though, not a good idea for such tiny companies in my opinion.

Btw, will we see GLBSE going public at some point?
They're all brand new companies by people who have little or no experience heading up brand new companies.  They're not going to travel the well worn path, namely because they don't know where it is.
7754  Other / Obsolete (buying) / Re: [buying] BTC for $50USD (PayPal) on: May 13, 2011, 11:26:19 PM
Well, yes, but bank wire is slow and I'm in a bit of a hurry and I don't have a dwolla account.
I'd suggest signing up for a dwolla account - it has protections in place for both buyers and sellers, so you should find someone more willing to take a chance with you on that front.
7755  Economy / Marketplace / Re: 0.25 Free BTC! on: May 13, 2011, 11:24:55 PM
I'll review the list when I get home.  I've only been looking at the feedback through the backend, and my webhost decided that now would be a good time for maintenance on it.  Roll Eyes

I'm not sure whether 10 feedbacks have been made today or not, so keep 'em coming - you might still have a chance at 0.25BTC!
7756  Other / Obsolete (buying) / Re: [buying] BTC for $50USD (PayPal) on: May 13, 2011, 10:50:03 PM
difficult?
Paypal allows chargebacks, which means you could screw whoever you are buying bitcoins from out of their money, and there's nothing they could do about it.  Couple that with you being a newbie on the forum, and it'll be difficult to find someone who will trust you to sell bitcoins to.
7757  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Rate my Rig on: May 13, 2011, 09:50:31 PM
The PSU is ok, you can never have enough power there Smiley I would consider a dual PSU setup maybe to get the price down.
The RAM and CPU are completely out of range, you don't need that much, go with the cheapest thing you can find. My Rig with a 5970 and a 5850 uses 1% CPU and 100MB RAM...
Also the HD can be replaced by a memory stick if you're trained with Linux ^^
1 percent cpu? what miner are you using? im using phoenix with two 6990s @ agression 10 and i get 100 percent
With dual video cards, you'll have at least one core of your processor maxed out.  With single cards, you'll get 1-2% usage.

Ram is overkill.  Spend $13 on 1GB.
CPU is overkill.  Spend $40 on a single core sempron.
HDD is overkill.  Spend $36 on a 250GB Seagate.

Unless you want a decent computer besides just for mining, then go ahead and spend the extra money on those things.  But you can always buy that stuff later.  Any money saved now means you are closer to that 2nd 6990 that much sooner.
7758  Economy / Marketplace / Re: 0.25 Free BTC! on: May 13, 2011, 09:19:18 PM
Yep, I see it as 0/unconfirmed. Though a transaction that came in an hour ago is at 3/unconfirmed. Maybe the network has slowed?
There's a lot of things that factor in to whether a transaction makes it into a new block.  Some factors include age of the transaction, fees, BTC involved, how much has been sent/received by the address in the past, etc.

You can have a 0.01BTC transaction that's been waiting for a day, then send 10BTC and have it done in 5 minutes, while the 0.01BTC is still waiting.

We'll see how long these take.  All three are still unconfirmed at this point, but you all WILL get them!
7759  Economy / Economics / Re: 1 BTC = 20 USD on: May 13, 2011, 09:14:00 PM
I predict $20 by the end of May.
7760  Economy / Economics / Re: Hey you, with the bitcoins, mind the bubble. on: May 13, 2011, 09:13:28 PM
According to Alexa, the highest counted age range is 25-34 for bitcoin.org, and we have a higher than average representation of people who went to graduate school. I'd hardly say that the main audience here is idealist teenagers.
Proof that it's not bad to be slightly non-anonymous.  We have stats like this because of it!

Also, last I checked, I was portrayed as a 45-50 year old male who had a degree in psychology.  I'm a male, but nothing close to those other two statistics.  So take webstats with a grain of salt.  Tongue
