7741  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: LocalBitCoin Alternative on: February 12, 2015, 06:56:36 PM
So me and a friend have been working on an alternative to localbtc, but we're wondering what would BTCTalk want that would make you switch over from using their services?

We already have lower fee's (if anything), and a superior design, but what else would you want to see in a platform such as this?
Anything helps.

Will be hard to switch from localbitcoin to a new page because users trust now in localbitcoin.

I think that is the #1 fact, you will need to get the trust of users.

In my country, we measure insecurity with the number of disasters.

*birth and death graphs

and no with the % of black people.
7743  Economy / Economics / Re: 80 richest people on the planet have the same wealth as the poorest 50% on: February 12, 2015, 06:48:10 PM
Make of this what you will.

• By 2016, the top 1% of the world’s population will have more wealth than the other 99%
• 80 richest people on the planet have the same wealth as the poorest 50% (3.5 billion)
• The poorest 80% own just 5.5% of the world's wealth
• The richest 80 doubled their worth in cash terms between 2009 and 2014
• More than a third of the 1,645 billionaires listed by Forbes inherited some or all of their riches
• Britain’s 100 richest had the same wealth as 30% of UK households
• The financial sector contributed $571 million to various campaigns during 2012 U.S. presidential elections
• In 2013, financial and insurance lobbies gave $550 million to policymakers in Washington and Brussels

ps: Before anyone blindly starts proselytizing about Bitoin, keep in mind the same pattern has/is emerging in crypto as well.
Less it be forgotten, the top 100 addresses own 20% (2,875,298 BTCs) of all BTCs mined thus far (13,736,250, as of block #339,450).

But the same pattern between Bitcoin and real world rich people, must be a coincidence.

By the way, nice analysis.

7749  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2.5 BTC stolen i wanna cry :-( on: February 05, 2015, 10:24:17 PM
I went and got new PC how would i put linux on it?

You will need either a blank DVD or a USB drive you can erase. Head over to ubuntu.com and download it - huge file, will take a VERY long time. There are instructions on the site on how to make a bootable DVD or USB stick and make it work - should be pretty basic.

When you boot from the DVD/USB, make sure you "Try Ubuntu without installing" first, since installing will overwrite Windows permanently! (Yes, this is not technically true, but I'm trying to make this as easy as possible)

Make sure most basic things work - you should be able to open firefox and browse bitcoin talk at least. If you're satisfied it will work, go ahead and install. It'll take about 20 minutes.

If you need tech support for it, you can always write me (or BtcBoss, I would imagine). Just know what you're getting into before you do it!

Also, my condolences.

Yeah, you can write me if got any question or any problem with linux  Wink

Use linux is a nice solution but can be hard the first days, after some time you will love it.

If I gave you say 0.001 BTC and I gave you one day to turn that into 0.01BTC. What is that chance you could do it on a dice gaming site? Would you use martingale or another betting system? Is there a betting system that gave you a better chance rather than Martingale?

The chance for this is 9.08% with dice.

I used to bet at 79.9% on dice, but i dont play more there. Now i like more gamble on poker or sports.
7754  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: grow your bitcoins here.....with 0 % risk on: February 05, 2015, 03:34:17 PM
for me, the risk on this is 100%... You can easy take the btc and run.

 Undecided

By the way, if you are that good with btc, why dont you use your own btc to do money?

7758  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: DO NOT get fooled by ice-dice on: January 26, 2015, 09:22:27 PM
The ice-dice guys keep spamming new threads that seem to offer 0.005 BTC.

The truth is that you will never be able to withdraw that as you have to wager 300 times that amount before being allowed to withdrawal. The rules are never clearly specified, they are just hoping that you visit their site. The latest topic is self-moderated, guess why ?

DO NOT contribute to this site in form of visits and deposits.

Need to gamble 1.5 BTC to be able to widraw 0.005 is a nice joke.

I give a try to this promo but i lost like always on dice.

This is just marketing, if you think is a chance to get free money, that will not happen. Because wager 300 times that 0.005 is with the intention to dont give the free money, lol.

Nice promo, but i feel cheated too with it.

No the new free bonus promotion is 0.0005 not 0.005 btc and you can withdraw by wagering 0.075 btc.

Cmon, luckybit give lottos on the chat, just for chat you can win from 0.0001 to 0.009 btc... Some sites give money to his bettor, other give a small bank roll that you need to do a miracle to withdraw.

CryptoSpeed - The Best Manually Bitcoin Game

SEND TO THIS ADDRESS AND GET 140% BACK AS SOON AS THE NEXT PERSON SENDS
BTCBTC:0.005-0.5

BTCLITECOIN CLOSED
How Does A Ponzi Work?

It's simple, you send whatever Bitcoin you have to the ponzi address.
Then, wait until someone sends Bitcoin to the address after you.
You will then receive back what you originally gave, plus a little cut
from the recent depositors funds (precisely 40% more of your investment).
The minimum is 0.005BTC, the maximum is 0.5BTC.
What is CryptoSpeed?

http://cryptodoublespeed.pixub.com provides a public ponzi game via Bitcoin.
Every 7 Days the Ponzi program will end and another round will begin. Beware, this is a gamble based game!
Investors at the bottom of the queue may not be paid.
What are the chances of losing?

Like any other game the chances of losing more are lower because as the value is entering the payment will be made

then. And to ensure return to enter through last all Saturday we will reset the list and pay those who are not yet

paid and the cycle continues.
How Do I Know You Won't Scam?

We take a small cut of 4% of each payout to run things such as website costs and effort.
In the long run, we can make much more money running this service rather
than being theives and stealing your money.

CryptoSpeed delivers one ponzi program per 7-days.Every Monday (20:00 GMT + 0)
You are a genius...
