i meand bank is best place to hold your money not stable coins as they can be frozen and bitcoin are volatile today 17 tomrow 19 k...
so banks are the winners here
While it might be safer to just hold USD in banks instead of holding stablecoins, don't forget that your money in your bank can also be frozen. So yea, besides the volatility risk, holding bitcoin is safest in terms of unconfiscatability.

1. What made you think investing bitcoin? Realization: Bitcoin is not only for investment for its main function is to act as a digital currency where it uses P2P network where users has full control over his funds with no third party service and KYC does not really necessary.
Privacy is one of the key feature about using bitcoin. It can save your ass from robbery or from thieves especially when you like to gamble and winning a lot. Being anonymous will help you to conceal your identity and your winnings. It does not only cater gambling but also to other aspects where identity concealment matter.
Just take note: Bitcoin isn't actually anonymous, it's only pseudo anonymous. Though you don't necessarily have your name tied into your bitcoin addresses to start with(only until you interact with custodial exchanges and such), the blockchain is fully transparent. To achieve "somewhat-anonymity" on Bitcoin, you really need to know what you're doing as Bitcoin's current state isn't private by default. You need to learn how to use peer-to-peer exchanges, use coinjoin/mixers, proper address handling, and such.

Are you sure you're looking for a fundraiser? Because based on your explanation, that seems to be like a typical software development gig that's just paid in bitcoin rather than fiat. Not sure if there are actually people here on Bitcointalk that hire software devs, it probably wouldn't hurt to make a topic in the Service Announcements section: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=84.0

Are you really surprised though? Even though a lot of people(especially in countries like the US) have heard of Bitcoin, most of them still doesn't really know what it is and what it's for; probably besides the fact that it's totally digital. Do I see it as a problem? Nah. In the first place, I just don't randomly talk about Bitcoin(because $5 wrench attacks[1]). But if it comes to topic when I'm talking to someone, I'll gladly answer questions. I just always make sure to tell them that I lost my coins in a boating accident.

It always is. If Bitcoin adoption increases far more from here, that would most probably effectively decrease the power of central banks. And with that, it makes a bit of sense for them to heavily regulate it due to the threat to their power.
Will it happen though? I'm not sure, but I personally wouldn't be surprised if they actually did.
Will they be successful? Yes, just as successful as them banning drug use and piracy/torrenting. /s

Heads up to those receiving these SMS messages and emails: since the mobile numbers and SMSs has leaked, it's most likely just going to get worse from here. It'd probably be wise to already change email addresses and mobile numbers.

Just a heads up(though not an answer to your question): privacy shouldn't be with your Bitcoin holdings alone. Your personal privacy is actually far more important. Check this out: https://privacytools.io/P.S. Kudos to you for being privacy conscious.

Surprise surprise, PayPal only wants to take advantage of the bitcoin hype for them to be able to earn through the fees; hence why their product seems to be really really incomplete and rushed.
Also, I'm pretty sure they don't care about whatever "message" there is. What matters is revenue.

Came here due to my interest in Bitcoin faucets and how to create one.
Stayed because I realized the importance of non-corruptible money and having self sovereignty over my own wealth.

Maybe, maybe not. Personally I think it's a mix of everything, but mostly healthy pullback lang.
Pullbacks are mostly healthy price movements after huge price rises lamang. If anything, mas bullish pa ako dahil nagpullback kesa ung dere deretso lang na pataas. P.S. Hindi mo kailangang palakihin ang fonts at lagyan ng unnecessary colors ung text mo.

Also, if the miners behind Viabtc were profitable, they certainly would not sell contracts. If this was not a scam, they want the contract holders to be the holders of risk hehehe.
We could make the argument that them selling contracts could probably mean that they could expand their business a lot faster(by being able to get more machines and data centers) due to the increased cash flow. But still, it doesn't change the fact that cloud mining is a bad investment.

yeah that one is also heavily moderated.
Most of Reddit is, including r/WallStreetBets(politics, sub $1b mcap stocks, etc, are not allowed). It's just that calling people retards, idiots, and other derogatory words is completely legal on WSB because shit talking one another is one of the main attractions of that subreddit.

naah. i just like watching the fun at wsb. i do my own research. cryptocurrency is heavily moderated. seems all of reddit is like that now.
r/cryptocurrency sure is heavily moderated, but check out the comments on some of the posts if you want to have an idea on which coins/tokens are being hyped up by the subreddit. Also, probably check out: https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoMarkets/

r/cryptocurrency is pretty much like r/wallstreetbets but just with people that are less-aware and think that they're super smart.
P.S. Don't expect jumping into hype stocks on WSB to work forever.

i am in a very tight financial situation and cannot work due to certain reasons, so i was told i could eventually make some money here.
You can make a decent amount of money here through signature campaigns, ONLY if you're actually well versed in the bitcoin/cryptocurrency space. If not? You're honestly better off doing something else. It's like applying for a software developer job without knowing anything about software development. I also saw the loaning boards but im new and very scared to ask in there right away, it seems new people asking get bad reps due to so many scammers in crypto sadly
If you're planning on getting a loan, you're going to need collateral. For some reason some people think they can get loans with zero collateral here.

That's true. but I think he sold all the XMR for BTC.
Missed that in the article. Also, I checked their October 2020 report, and no they don't have 72k bitcoin. The article you link states: "Publicly-traded Canadian fund Cypherpunk just announced the acquisition of an additional 72.979 Bitcoins. With this deal, the entity has purchased a total of 276,479 Bitcoins." The first number was rightfully using a decimal, whereas the second number should've been 276.479. Why? Because their October 2020 states that they have only 203 Bitcoin. So after they purchased 72.979, that puts them at 275.979 bitcoin. Just 1 BTC off the 276.479 number.
