7741  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: June 05, 2021, 07:09:54 PM
Trofo got in earlier but yeah max bet for this one a little more than usual. Booked a little over 5mbtc on today's promo as this seems too good to be true but I don't mind at all. Value odds for maybe 20 teams and I see tired players and eager heads giving us yellows.

Question for me now is VAR and how that might make things different but hey. Five more days for five more specials!
7742  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Chart - Is Bitcoin About to Break Down? on: June 05, 2021, 05:48:15 PM
Mm yeah, was saying in another thread I'm not a believer of TA, purely for curiosity but I do think the 200ma has always been a strong sign of strength or lack of... So today's reluctance to continue racking up gains should see us spend another week below 200.

Doesn't look good, but I think it'll iron out. Or we sink lower and then we get a hell of a bounce up the ass.
7743  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Finals in June 2021! on: June 05, 2021, 04:28:51 PM
Group F [...] Germany will want to show that even with new players they are capable of performing well.

I think Germany will qualify, possibly at the expense of Portugal. Germany often seem to perform better in tournaments than you'd think from their individual players. I know they've been weaker than usual lately, but their history in tournament football means that it's a brave decision to bet against them.

Have outrights on both France and Portugal. Germany odds just not attractive enough and will be hoping the bookies were just balancing punter demand. Really tough group though and everyone else will be hoping they deplete themselves at group stage. Expecting goals and fireworks... Just not drab draws without goals please!

Have a feeling we'll all end up surprised in the end. Tired teams with fatigued players? Or fresh young faces with fast legs?
7744  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Global adoption — A ridiculous term on: June 05, 2021, 03:26:54 PM
Just one of scores of ridiculous terms used in practically every manifesto and "white paper" since Bitcoin. Pretty certain most people using them know the ridiculousness of them.

Mass adoption. Global adoption. Decentralization. Critical mass. Internet of value. Disruptive tech. Democratized money. Sovereign finance.

The shit remarkably devoid from the 9 pages actually describing Bitcoin.
7745  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io "Soccer Blackjack" @ 21.00 odds on: June 05, 2021, 01:51:27 PM
Good thing I checked, thanks. Wasn't going to go look until later today -- yeah, a bit dull games but what can we do, friendlies all the way till next week, unless we go for the Asian/American picks, which most of us I guess won't even be up to pick.

Cards and goals will be a problem, so let's hope for... corner-vaganza? I haven't overused that word, have I?

7746  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-06-04] Bitcoin falls after Elon Musk tweets breakup meme on: June 05, 2021, 01:28:27 PM
If they loved him when they took them up on a nice ride to the top, they should not love him any less when he brings them back down. At least he's leaving them to their hangover without wagging his finger in their face.

I see all this as good news. If Elon's really (and he's not) purging the weak hands, and this is the best it gets for the bears, man we've got a lot to look forward to.
7747  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Odds, units advantage | Sportsbook | +62395 units on: June 05, 2021, 12:22:12 PM
Whoops that was a really poor pick from me yesterday, and I missed the Estonian upset which was about 12/1 as I recall. Shall we choose another Caucasus upset after Georgia got us our win two days ago? I say why not? Armenian football seems to have generated some positivism after last year's upheaval.

100 units at Sportsbet on Armenia to WIN vs Sweden @9.80. Other odds: 9.10

7748  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin can't break out anymore. it's done. on: June 05, 2021, 11:04:23 AM
Daily view we are still showing weakness underneath the 200 day average which is only indicator and is still reflecting positive momentum but nearterm there is selling to deal with.  Perhaps we could speculate when the 50 day crosses the 200 or meets that will be enough time for price to rise again, people will be suitably gloomy at that point and it wil be a surprise.
Breaking 35k here would be significant, I think its likely to stay between the lines here till next week.   Price in revision shows less range quite likely.

Yeah, I think June might be disappointing, if only because earlier over optimistic projections for May didn't hit. Personally always liked 200ma lines but we're spending more time closer to it than farther away so either a delayed bounce or a gathering for breakout momentum.

Oh but to see proudhon in these threads makes me as joyful as seeing green tickers all day long. Call that confirmation of this thread title about to be invalidated=p
7749  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Welcome back to the Premier League- Watford FC!! 🚀 on: June 05, 2021, 09:59:31 AM
Nice bet right there morvillz, would have made me proud on my betslip but I picked the wrong underdogs... Estonian pride yo haha. And Italy consecutive wins yeah almost no brainer except friendly makes it a no certainty for me, toma.

One more week to EURO! Can't wait to see the remaining daily promos =D
7750  Economy / Speculation / Re: Reverse Bubble 2021 on: June 05, 2021, 09:16:08 AM
Willy bot back eh tokes? I'm a simple guy and always have seen TA as entertaining rather than portent of things to come. I still feel I can get a good sense of overall crypto sentiment since I work in the "industry" and there are some levels of optimism I believe I can match with the past cycle that leads me to think this reverse bubble is at least indication that alt momentum is entering the post hype phase (shall I say the dirty defi word?).

Fud not yet apparent now is on these defi protocols and lending platforms... Coming, no surprise, from self professed bitcoin maximalists.

That tells me Bitcoin itself isn't done yet and the backlash from failed defi has yet to come.

Rally incoming, in other words.

Hey @buwaytress, rewarding the players who choose unexpected and rare predictions does seem like a good idea for sure.

In talks right now with the team to expand the list of the available markets.  Wink

Yeah, like a multi-tier points system, you get points for the right outcome, more points for choosing unexpected outcomes, could even make the points system linked to your odds markets.

And, once you've made your predictions, and show the total points possible, you could even have a direct link to sportsbook to make the same bets as you pick, at the same odds;)

Can't wait to see more markets! Cheers Tornike!
7753  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 652 Ukrainian officials declare holding a total of 46,351 BTC on: June 04, 2021, 12:00:32 PM
Really easy way to suddenly introduce millions of dollars in a suitcase and say, "oh, I just sold all my bitcoin on some marketplace somewhere, thank you very much".
Your post is the most correct. Bull's-eye! In Ukraine, there was a case when a parliamentarian announced that he had won his millions in the lottery. And he won the jackpot several times in a row - "lucky". In Ukraine, officials know how to launder money stolen from the state.

Where I come from, we are the same, politicians cut from the same cloth. My country's own prime minister (ex now) famously made global headlines with billions of dollars stolen from national funds. Big enough when viewed from USD perspective, unimaginable to most people when converted to national currency. His explanation was even easier: he receives unsolicited donations from other countries who just love his policies. Donations!

Waiting for some minister one day to say he bought Bitcoin from Satoshi.

7754  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Odds, units advantage | Sportsbook | +62395 units on: June 04, 2021, 09:14:30 AM
It wasn't even a close game by the stats, even if the scoreline seemed to flatter N Ireland. Patience, and persistence, should have bet on Conmebol upsets instead;) USA and Mexico scraped through on Nations League finals and those would have been good handicap bets if I actually play that style!

A dumb friendly, with Asian sleeping giant Kazakh to beat N Macedonia. 100 units at Fairlay @5.66. Other odds: 5.10
Units advantage: 56

Running advantage after 365 bets: +24,344 (+56)
All-time cumulative: +62,742
Running units after 364 bets (60W|304L): +14,785 (-100)
7755  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ COPA America ⚽ Prediction Pool Discussion Thread on: June 04, 2021, 06:32:51 AM
Hello! Thought I already put my participation but I must be confused with some other... EURO maybe or some.
I was already thinking I will have to send you a PM since you forgot about us Smiley

Crazy South Americans, they are playing World Cup qualification games today, just before Copa starts. While Europeans are relaxing, training and playing friendlies to recuperate before EURO.

Yeah, it's almost as if they just want to live up to their crazy reputation ha! Some reasonably disappointing results for some last night (Chile and Uruguay both drawing being the most annoying as I don't like betting handicaps or draws) but seems like we're already getting some clues into how Copa will turn out next week.

Paid my fee;) tx id: f6d2c901903bf71502b251b16b107e543e4f08d6926399ea82df3472225d055a

It's rbf so if for some reason it's unconfirmed by weekend I'll bump fees.
7756  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ FIFA World Cup 2022: Qualifying Games For Qatar on: June 03, 2021, 03:28:20 PM
Hello boys and girls! I had to go back to Page 7 to find this. There's another World Cup thread but only for UEFA qualifiers, so I guess this is the best place to discuss AFC, CONMEBOL, CONCACAF, and CAF qualifications? Haha.

My country plays tonight and I dutifully watch, even though we've never progressed past 140th rank FIFA in all the past 15 years I can remember (140 was actually the false dawn ha) but we are always capable of upsets. For that matter, there are 3 Southeast Asian teams tonight I feel could snatch a narrow victory, so I've taken bets on some big underdogs:

Singapore (vs Palestine) - 6.20
You never underestimate Palestine and they always play with fire in their legs, but Singapore could be healthier and fitter in this one.

Malaysia (vs UAE) - 9.60
Malaysia shocked ASEAN champs Thailand recently and actually fought well in a 2-1 loss to UAE last time around, so maybe they get revenge? Yeah right haha.

Indonesia (vs Thailand) - 15.50
The Thais are so good, seriously, but they did lose to Malaysia before covid happened, and Indonesians will be clamouring for some joy after a miserable year.

Australia (vs Kuwait) - 12.92
This is probably my best bet, but Aussie teams have been truly crap in AFC, losing even to SEA clubs, but I'm hoping some internationals take aim at Kuwait's poor form, winless in the last 4 games.
7757  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ COPA America ⚽ Prediction Pool Discussion Thread on: June 03, 2021, 12:49:04 PM
Hello! Thought I already put my participation but I must be confused with some other... EURO maybe or some.

Uruguay or Colombia is my pick, but this largely because of odds (Uruguay frequent underdog in the big team pools for some reason) but I won't be surprised if Messi finds a way to swansong his way into this extra Copa (yeah, no rules eh).

I'll update here on weekend with payment, Trofo.

7758  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Odds, units advantage | Sportsbook | +62395 units on: June 03, 2021, 10:52:11 AM
Well, we came close to bagging both of these games! Scotland were in the lead all the way til 89th minute when Depay completed his brace and saved his team a point. Georgia, well, in the lead for most of the game, and giving me my first friendly win post football season. Very pleased.

For today, we go for the Northern Irish, who've impressed all over the qualifiers. Can they beat a Ukraine in decline? Why not?

100 units at Sportsbet on N Ireland to WIN vs Ukraine @6.60. Other odds: -
Bet ID: 60b7c8bb4219f7111ddaf265

Running advantage after 364 bets: +24,288 (-)
All-time cumulative: +62,686

7759  Economy / Speculation / Re: Death Cross is about to happen on: June 03, 2021, 09:43:09 AM
Looks like the market movement is just about to invalidate this particular death cross. We'll have to wait and see if America wakes up and decides to continue the momentum or if scalpers will continue to pare off gains.

Either way, golden and death crosses haven't done much for expectations for the past couple of years ha.
7760  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: Who is going to Miami? on: June 03, 2021, 06:45:18 AM
Should be of some interest to see who goes, yeah, especially whale pass holders. At least one of the sponsors is active in this forum, and now we know OP is going, so bitcointalk will be represented;)

Miami's got the highest concentration of immigrant population in the US with some really unique legislation there, and plenty of remittances abroad to Central and South America. No surprise it's Bitcoin-friendly! 20k attendees expected. Pictures, OP!
