Sent out 0.75BTC for three people who received feedback so far...   Wink
i received feedback
You are one of the three...  Wink
oh sorry Embarrassed but it didn't show up Huh
It will.  It just hasn't been confirmed yet.  Given the rate at which free bitcoin transactions have been confirmed lately, it might be a few hours...

If, after I see them as confirmed on my end, you still don't see them, then we'll have to figure out why, but I'm sure it'll show up in your account eventually.
7762  Economy / Marketplace / Re: List of sites accepting mBTC on: May 13, 2011, 09:09:02 PM
I'm not sure if good idea from the point of view of merchants. What looks better:

But this awesome pen for only 100 mBTC!!!

or

But this awesome pen for only 0.1 BTC!!!

The second price looks like a better deal Wink
First of all, I'll keep my Buts and Pens separate.  Secondly, 0.1BTC looks better.  You'd get more sales with a price like that.

I have to keep catching myself... I think, "Oh yeah, I'd pay 5 BTC for that!"  Then, "Oh wait, that's $40 now..."  There's definitely a psychological sales advantage to being able to show lower numbers.

I think I would avoid the term mBTC for now, and just stick with support for more than two decimal places.  Reason is, confusion for new people coming on to the scene.
7763  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How is the current market state NOT a bubble? on: May 13, 2011, 09:05:37 PM
Basically, a bubble is misplaced speculation. There is no doubt what so ever that a lot of the current economy is speculation in a future prospering economy. Whether it's misplaced or not, only time will tell, and that's what will determine if it's a bubble.
I agree with this answer.

I will accept 1000 mBTC for my piano album.  Tongue

Agreed though, people should start building support for more decimal places.
7766  Economy / Economics / Re: Hey you, with the bitcoins, mind the bubble. on: May 13, 2011, 08:53:36 PM
A high bitcoin price does not increase the production of bitcoins. Demand could shrivel away, but that's not how bubbles usually pop. Once the bandwaggoning by normal people who don't get it or care to begins there is no stopping.
I agree 100%, aniway i've had a sell signal and for now i'm happy, sold at 7.72$, i day trade with an hourly chart, waiting next buy signal, do any of you guys daytrade or just holding bitcoins for long term?

Long term. I'm 27 and Bitcoin is an integral part of my retirement plan.
That's ballsy.

What type of case would you recommend for 4 5850s? I'd imagine it would need to be pretty big to fit all 4 cards, and have good cooling. I like the Lanboy Air, but is there a less expensive option that would work just as well?
Personally, I'd just run with the side panel(s) off.  But I'm kind of a cheapo, especially when it comes to mining.  I'll just things as cheaply as possible.
7769  Economy / Marketplace / Re: 0.25 Free BTC! on: May 13, 2011, 06:31:02 PM
As for your CAPTCHA question, I live in Washington, so the sky is actually gray.  Wink
Cheesy

I'm in Oregon, I feel your pain.

Mhmmm i registered but username password is not working. Got no registration succeeded email and there is no possibility to reset the password via email :-( Or am I missing something?

How can I proceed?
Contact customer support.  Tongue

I'll add in a password reset feature and emailed confirmation of registration (thanks for pointing that out).  In the meantime, I'll just delete your account so you can re-register.

EDIT:  Account deleted, go ahead and re-register.  If you're still having trouble logging in after the second registration, I'll have to investigate the issue in further detail.

CONFIDENTIAL

Dear Sir,

Good day and compliments. This letter will definitely come to you as a huge surprise, but I implore you to take the time to go through it carefully as the decision you make will go off a long way to determine the future and continued existence of the entire members of my family.

Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Dr. (Mrs.) Mariam Abacha, the wife of the late head of state and commander in chief of the armed forces of the federal republic of Nigeria who died on the 8th of June 1998.

My ordeal started immediately after my husband's death on the morning of 8th June 1998, and the subsequent take over of government by the last administration. The present democratic government is determined to portray all the good work of my late husband in a bad light and have gone as far as confiscating all my late husband's bitcoins, properties, freezing our accounts both within and outside Nigeria. As I am writing this letter to you, my son Mohammed Abacha is undergoing questioning with the government. All these measures taken by past/present government is just to gain international recognition.

I and the entire members of my family have been held incommunicado since the death of my husband, hence I seek your indulgence to assist us in securing these bitcoins. We are not allowed to see or discuss with anybody. Few occasions I have tired traveling abroad through alternative means all failed.

It is in view of this I have mandated DR GALADIMA HASSAN, who has been assisting the family to run around on so many issues to act on behalf of the family concerning the substance of this letter. He has the full power of attorney to execute this transaction with you.

My late husband had/has Eighty Thousand BTC (80,000.00) specially preserved and well packed in trunk boxes of which only my husband and I knew about. It is packed in such a way to forestall just anybody having access to it. It is this sum that I seek your assistance to get out of Nigeria as soon as possible before the present civilian government finds out about it and confiscate it just like they have done to all our bitcoins.

I implore you to please give consideration to my predicament and help a widow in need.

May Allah show you mercy as you do so?

Your faithfully,

Dr (Mrs.) Mariam Abacha (M.O.N)

N/B: Please contact Dr Galadima Hassan on this e-mail address for further briefing and modalities
7772  Economy / Marketplace / 0.25 Free BTC [COMPLETED] on: May 13, 2011, 06:00:51 PM
I need to put some incentives out there to help jumpstart my site, so...

The next 10 people who register at bitcoinfeedback.com AND receive a legitimate feedback rating from someone else AND have a public or private bitcoin address registered to their account will receive 0.25 BTC!

It is ok if the transaction is already completed - just contact the other party and have them leave feedback for you.

Gogogogogo!

http://www.bitcoinfeedback.com

EDIT:  To decide who the first 10 people are, I will go by the timestamp of the feedback received.  As long as the person who has received feedback also has a bitcoin address associated to their account, I will be sending them 0.25 to that bitcoin address!
7773  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Best bang for the buck? Whole rig on: May 13, 2011, 05:29:10 PM
I can run 4 off just the one 1k psu?  I will probably need a nice case for all this heat then I imagine.. I have just a standard case
Should be just fine.  They're only about 150w each power draw.
7774  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Best bang for the buck? Whole rig on: May 13, 2011, 05:19:36 PM
So am I getting 3 5850's?
Yes.  They're still the best bang for the buck.  Get 3-4 of them.
7775  Other / Off-topic / Re: Anyone getting raptured on May 21st? on: May 13, 2011, 04:55:54 PM
Anyone who believes they will be raptured should place bets on a contract that the rapture will happen by X date.  Then, if it doesn't happen, they get their money back + a little extra, and if it does happen, they lose their money but it doesn't matter anymore.
Except ... the person who believes they will be raptured must bet that the rapture will not happen by X date, for this to work.

And who is going to bet against them? There's nothing in it for the person who bets that rapture will happen.
Oh, yep, you're right... I mixed up my language a bit there.

Sure there is!  If you believe that God exists but also believe you're going to hell and don't care about it, then you would bet against it.  Tongue

Ah well, it was worth a thought at least.
7776  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Best bang for the buck? Whole rig on: May 13, 2011, 04:53:48 PM
Buy the Azza PSAZ-1000A14 PSU from TigerDirect.  I'm using it to power dual 6990s, overclocked.  Runs like a dream, and I'm ordering 3 more.  $99 with coupon LKH29905

they have the Sapphire 5850s still in stock.  You'll want those or the ASUS ones because of the cooler design: best airflow.

Get the MSI board I mentioned, it works very well.

Buy an AMD quad athlon for $99 or something.  Newegg has them.

Get your free ram, find a spare hard drive, and off you go.  Should total you under $1000 I think, before shipping.

If you're worried about heat, buy these: http://www.amazon.com/PCI-Express-Riser-Flexible-Cable/dp/B004XD74MC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1305302419&sr=8-1

While 1X risers will work perfectly, these are the only [cheap] ones I've found that will get to you in under 2 weeks Tongue
I agree with this aside from the quad core.  A waste of electricity.  Just get a LE Sempron or something.
7777  Other / Off-topic / Re: Anyone getting raptured on May 21st? on: May 13, 2011, 04:38:42 PM
I was actually thinking about this in conjunction with prediction markets.

Anyone who believes they will be raptured should place bets on a contract that the rapture will happen by X date.  Then, if it doesn't happen, they get their money back + a little extra, and if it does happen, they lose their money but it doesn't matter anymore.

Amirite?

7780  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: UBX shares 12.5 x inital offer price!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! on: May 13, 2011, 04:24:02 PM
With regards the client, I'm adding the final pieces of functionality to the command line client and then begining work on an easy to use, no install web client.

So a nice easy to use web interface is on the way. A little patience please though.
Cool.  I'm being patient - just not using it until it's... easier.  Tongue
