S5 been out of stock all day. Wonder if they finally REALLY ran out this time?

I'm thinking they ran out unless they find some.  I would guess they want to keep some for hashnest.  So they might be able to find some extras there if they really wanted to sell more.

Hard to say.

A friend of mine bought yesterday before they ran out, and bitmain told him "some units will go with slight scratches"... heh' go figure

At least they are honest.  It has been a long time I believe on current batch.   So they have been running a while.

I don't blame them for that though.   In this industry you can't really leave the miners in boxes new or they lose money.   If anything I guess we should probley thank Bitmain for making this last batch so big it seems.  It lasted a awful long time which is good for customers on not waiting on a batch.

Newly accepted members:

Bitcoin Explorer

Spots are now closed until I return!

Why was I jumped over in accepted accounts?

I would guess it's post's like this:

Monster

Even if the sell price is set to .00000001 btc the trade will occur at the highest buy order or approximately 0.0136 btc currently however dumping 100 ltc wouldnt even change the price much.
+1

Known information such as all future halvings are already anticipated and therefore reflected in current prices. No price increase to be expected.

No price increase ever eh? Guess demand never increases either then as seen over the last 5 years...

Sure there will be price increases. Whenever something positive happens that hasn't been anticipated before. But no price increases because of events that we already know will happen.
If demand increases more than the average market participant anticipates, BTC price will increase.
Okay...

It goes on and on.  But I'm guessing one word posts, and very small posts.

I will be away with limited internet access for the next week or so. All PMs will be replied to as soon as possible!

The maximum post count for all members, effective immediately, is 100 posts for the next week.

Does this mean 100 posts from Marco's today's post until next week same time? Did I get this right or not?
Thanks guys.

It say's effective immediately so my guess is for the next week, 100 max paid posts.    So that would mean it's already started.  Assuming I read it right.

Yes, you can get it in a several different ways. That's why I am asking. What if we are in a middle of our week? How do we count these 100 posts then. From this moment, or we count our posts already from the beginning of this week's payment period or we count them from our next week's payment period?

I hope somebody understood what am I trying to say! Cheesy

Some clarification would do us well. Smiley

I understand what your saying 100 percent.  We will need to wait on Macro Or Bitcoin Boy to tell us when it really takes effect.

But effective immediately (i bolded it macro did not) would lead me to believe it started for everyone already even if your in middle of week on your post count.

7768  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: receiving bitcoin on: July 24, 2015, 09:40:39 AM
Hello,

i bought some bitcoin from Belgacoin.com, this was sent to my address, but it's not showing up in my bitcoin core wallet.
Does it need to be syncronised first or are there additional steps i have to take?

It's behind 49 weeks and i can't download on my current network due to some kind of restrictions.
Help please!

Yes it needs to be synchronized if your using the bitcoin core wallet.   Until it reaches X date where the BTC was sent to you it will not show.

I suggest after syncing looking into cold wallets, and lightweight wallets.  Lightweight makes it much easier to receive/send without syncing.
7769  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Suggestions on: July 24, 2015, 08:53:42 AM
Thank you. I appreciate all the answers, I think I'll go with S3  Smiley

Get a decent PSU.  Don't make a mistake some do and get some horribly cheap PSU.

Server PSU's have become pretty popular lately.  And seem to be cheaper then ATX.

220 volt

electricity prices in my Country
1.000 watt = 1.4$
But I will work on solar energy And batteries
Because of the high price and Electricity work 6-8 In 24 hours

----------------

I highly suggest looking into hosting somewhere else.  Solar is a big investment to add to mining.  And actually the two are different investments.

But solar is not cheap.  Its better as far as asics to move the machines to cheap electricity.
7771  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you like best about bitcoin? on: July 24, 2015, 05:29:31 AM
i can pay all my bills in bitcoin its so easy

I wish my electricity company took payment via bitoin.  That is my biggest bill because of miners.

Would be amazing if I could send them some BTC each month.  Ohh well guess I can always convert it's pretty easy once set up at an exchange.
7772  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Stolen Bitcoin on: July 24, 2015, 05:28:07 AM
Did you store your private key anywhere insecure?  That is what I think of.

You could have 2 factor turned on with a wallet.  But if you lost your private key it would not matter that is game over.
7773  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: bitcoin loans on: July 24, 2015, 05:26:02 AM
People need loans (bank loans atm) to live. To buy a car, a house, school, etc. Our society only works with loans.

So, if bitcoin becomes HUGE, how will the bitcoin loans work?

There are already a lot of bitcoin loans.  AVOID them at all costs.  Sadly a lot of people default which means you do not get your  money back.

And you have to go after them legally, and they might not even be in your country.   Its just a hard time collecting if they default.
7774  Economy / Economics / Re: What will be our new world currency? on: July 24, 2015, 05:24:20 AM
Is the Zimbabwe Dollar the "funny" part of the survey or what?

yes, was trying to be. apparantly it did not succeed. better next time

You could have put Greece up there to be a little current.   Sadly I think they will still  have some effect on zone until someone bails them out.

I do think a "world currency" is a hard thing.  Its not easy to get entire world to accept a form of currency.
7775  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or Gold? What would you pick? on: July 24, 2015, 05:22:40 AM
any of that, gold is manipulated and already virtual, bitcoin no price stability

We are talking about the physical gold (i.e, the gold which is in the form of bullion coins and bars), and not about the virtual gold (the gold which is being held in the form of exchange traded funds). Physical gold can't be manipulated, but the storage can be a bit of a headache. But looking at the wallet hacks and robberies which are ongoing with the Bitcoin sector, I have to say that gold storage seems to be less risky.

Gold will always be there.  I don't care if it goes down in value or raises, there will always be a good value for it.   People have invested in it a LONG TIME.   There is trust with it.

Silver is a little newer as far as big investors.  I see a little more chance there if you looking for gain.

But either way physical valued objects in my mind are a different category then BTC.
7776  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you leave your day job to go full time on bitcoin? on: July 24, 2015, 05:20:22 AM
Currently it would be hard to leave a day job for bitcoin.   You would have to have a skill people want to buy for BTC.

Or have a good amount of investment money.   And it would be an investment.   Still working + BTC is chances are better long run.

140 blocks made norm is 144   so -4   we are creeping towards a   -  diff rate.

Wonder if we get a surge to over 2.5 % or we drop  to -0.10%

This would be great.  I would love to see a negative rate,  its been a bit since one.

If price hangs around 280 and we get a negative that would be a win for miners for sure.
7778  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5: 1155GH(+OverClock Potential), In Stock $0.319/GH & 0.51W/GH on: July 24, 2015, 05:15:40 AM

Hmm you say it works with 4 blades sounds like a 2 TH/s S7 or S6 is coming soon S5 is sold out at the time of this post. we just have to wait and see.

I would like to see 3+ Th S7. )

Mix that with around 1k watts and I would be pretty happy with specs.  A lot is it's efficiency that matters to me.
7779  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Sfards: SF100-the first 28nm Dual-Mode Miner gets into mass production on: July 24, 2015, 05:13:17 AM
900$? Smiley) maybe by Christmas time Grin

I would consider it at that price.  Even though it still would be at  premium.   I really want to mine scrypt again.

Just not any other chips out there that touch this specs as far as scrypt.
7780  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Did you earn some bitcoin today? on: July 24, 2015, 05:10:29 AM
Signature campaign day Smiley.  One of my favorite day's of the week.

And add mining on top of that makes it a pretty good day.  Thanks once again to Bit-X
