7761  Economy / Services / Re: Accelerate my transaction on: June 20, 2019, 08:14:55 PM
As I understand it the transaction is often cleared naturally anyway but it may need a timescale in the order of 24 hours or so.   My wallet sometimes seems to alter the fee to less then I've intended but even when its been as low as 3 sats per byte it still has cleared eventually.
They have improved matters since 2017, thinking about it the address I have is using segwit so maybe that helps matters considerably.

The wallet I use is Coinomi for anyone interested
7762  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is This The Last Time To Buy Bitcoin Cheap on: June 19, 2019, 11:58:28 PM
Its never the last time, unless some how we entered a new age and I never realised.   BTC is going to do the same thing its done in previous years which is rush upwards, catch everyone off guard and then in a mirror like way rush downwards just as fast or even faster.

If you like BTC you buy when everyone gets gloomy, the news whatever it is consider for a second is it yearly news that changes the entire game or is it just a nasty bump on the nose for BTC that upset some short term holders and spike the price down.
Forget the short term stuff, buy on the down spike and you have your answer its not the last time you can buy
7763  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Justin Bieber VS Tom Cruise - UFC Fight on: June 19, 2019, 11:54:52 PM
I wonder what's really on Bieber heads to challenge Tom Cruise, it's very childish for him to challenge a senior actor like Tom Cruise, he has no respect to a senior and respected actor like Tom Cruise, it's not going to push through Tom Cruise will not go for publicity stunt like this.

I can state the very obvious that Tom Cruise is probably an old crush of his wife and Bieber half drunk and tweeting makes it clear to the world, he will best this man who dares to make a film in the 1980s that women swoon over.
Totally pointless but straightforward, if you arent famous it doesnt get quite the same attention.    JB should just console himself with the fact he is the better drummer, also side note is drummer have good biceps from frequent practise and he might have a decent punch from that possibly.    I still think TC would win so long as he is in shape and Im not sure as he broke his leg at some point

Code:
Dude is an actor, he's fake, don't think he's some super spy because he isn't.
Tbh I think TC has a giant ego by now and some weird religious thing that might mean he believes anything about himself, who knows
7764  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin prices skyrocket thanks to Facebook on: June 19, 2019, 11:26:33 PM
A year from now if Facebook raises general awareness or acceptance of this kind of transaction then we can debate if BTC gained from that but right now this rally isnt from Facebook.   That story of industry taking on crypto is old now, its not part of the price or newly traded strength
7765  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin about to go really high on: June 19, 2019, 10:57:28 PM
I still believe it will more than that. But my main focus is on halving. Maybe it will make  bitcoin price rocketing again because people know bitcoin circulation is decreased in half. So, demand will increased.

Its still a way off, I dont think thats part of the current rise.  Maybe in 2020 it will come into play but people arent usually patient enough to be thinking a year away

The main reason is a reaction to selling from last autumn which came from a forced source rather then naturally a market finding its own way as part of orders between buyers and sellers, apparently the price lows were 'false' and market rebounded to reflect a higher demand vs supply.    I still think something like a fallback happens before much more of a rise but eventually the halvening will come into play as a factor and in speculation.
7766  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC will hit $1M on 2020 - John McAfee on: June 19, 2019, 10:35:32 PM
Theres a difference from invention and development and usage.   Just being an inventor sadly is not always a path to riches because you have to part be of the industry which gains from it.   Im not sure having 1 BTC token is a path to riches people imagine it will be, its usually about the cycle of money not the plain asset.  Wider industry believes BTC is a demonstration not the final form of this technology.    Even if blockchain is essential in 20 years it might not be giving BTC holders any part of that.

Its worth looking at famous inventions and the eventual most profitable iteration of that technology.   Definitely that could apply when BTC isnt copyrighted.    I have zero belief in things like XRP but I do think there will be some part of industry which does the most to serve the most people, they are the ones who get the vast majority of profit from bringing crypto to the pockets of even people who have no ability to comprehend it.
There still is no remote control equivalent for BTC, it really has to be so easy people can have it without thinking in order to propagate I think or at least thats my view maybe some think its already easy enough.   This $1m target isnt coming with zero advance from here, the world requires more then price

inevitable

I dont see it as inevitable and the reason Bitcoin is so doubted is from the open source it has.    The majority of commentators think the network can be duplicated because of that and it contains nothing unique, which would take away a large amount of the force driving the price from demand vs supply.
We've seen forks attempted which is as close as a duplicate as is possible I think and its failed mostly to draw custom away from the main branch.

Even after that I still dont see a higher price as inevitable, only when there is genuine need and vast utility offered from involvement in Bitcoin then we see the widescale demand vs the limited millions of BTC available.   We need far higher population for greater price growth to occur is my reckoning.   A large part of price movement now relys on weakness deliberately placed on conventional currency in order to allow liquidity and support to outstanding debt in the trillions.  If any default situation or alteration to that easy policy occurs I wonder how Bitcoin or any cutting edge development might suffer from harder monetary standards levied globally
7768  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin at $9,000 by the end of the year on: June 19, 2019, 01:35:05 AM
Its actually done a pretty bullish test and bounce from trend support.   Upwards channel in place for a couple months now providing some support to stay above 9000

8 day average is the price below at 8600, price has positive momentum
7769  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The consequences of gambling on: June 18, 2019, 06:40:16 PM
So in my eyes, sporting betting is also include in gambling.

Of course its gambling because the risk is variable with quite unknown odds still but its a game with observable factors, I think its more justifiable to place a bet on a game or sport then relying on completely unknown odds.
People can of course blindly bet any team at all to win and in effect be doing something no different to pulling the lever on a casino slot machine.   Thats still possible to either not care about the details or just be wildly wrong but I would separate the two generally.

Also arguably there is some support given by sports gambling back towards the sports.   I really dont think alot of horse racing would exist without the gambling aspect, a whole generation of pedigree horses and trainers and business behind it would not be there if not for the interest of spectators and gamblers.

There are some positives that come with the interest, 'consequences'  suggests a negative but many see a positive from the whole industry which surrounds sports and that includes the betting imo
7770  Economy / Economics / Re: The production of money... is SCAM! on: June 17, 2019, 11:59:05 PM
Ben is correct so long as they reverse QE then it would have been all ok.   Strict book keeping is fine, Keynes had this system but they ignored it.

This is also in simple terms why many consider the use of credit cards to be detrimental to your finances.   It doesnt have to be true but in the vast majority, credit cards are such a profitable business for the banks because normal people make so many mistakes when given 'new' money.
Same deal applies to QE, expansion on the monetary base on this scale is extremely dangerous because its nearly impossible to reverse without creating a large gap in the budget from reversal and cancellation of the QE bonds.   If the bonds are never reversed then it was newly printed money gifted to those nearest and dearest to the government such as banks who as primary dealers then store large amounts of debt as security.    Its a house of cards with both sides relying on each other

The deal with Keynes was to run a surplus in a positive GDP situation.   Fiscal budgets are not in surplus nor many other spending programs.    QE would be stated as a failure but those words alone could cause a recession, so will never be said similar to how a bank run starts silently.
7771  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Promoting Gambling on: June 17, 2019, 11:58:01 PM
Gambling is good for your maths, I can definitely agree with that.   Not sure everyone is this studious but its true if you strongly consider each bet you will improve your maths.    The school of probability and statistical analysis of data goes back hundreds of years and applicable all across industry and certainly applies to gambling.    In fact its so effective to deploy maths vs many games the house will often do its best to not allow the use of calculated strategies and predicted bet sizes to enhance betting performance.

There is a famous story of a professor taking his class into a casino to try and garner a profit.  I think they were successful at least for some games and eventually were not allowed back for wielding this advantage.   I wouldn't call it easy but probability is something I studied for years in college and never had any regrets as its so practical a part of mathematics studies
7772  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Blacknet | IBO for BlackCoin | New code | PoS | No ICO on: June 17, 2019, 12:58:55 PM
Quickest answer would be tradition and its a unique element.    It doesnt often get 'used up' in any quantity, but its usually related to conductivity, radiation, heat or resistance to corrosion.   If silver or copper didnt react with air they both might be the simpler choice to achieve the same thing.     The fact it is used for some tasks most commonly electronics, is the primary disagreement for gold vs other forms of currency and that it has a five thousand year or more legacy as traded money across borders.
I wont argue for or against it especially and its nature is inert.  I'm fairly certain gold gets used more in future then now just because they screwed up this paper debt idea far too much for it not to collapse and/or have consequences.    The biggest idea I've heard most probable to happen is SDR notes which is how the IMF would bail out something as massive as the US Federal reserve and thats just another form of debt and paper, no point then arguing over gold when its going to be a whole range of new alternatives to the old dollar system.

I'm fairly certain moves in debt markets for QE or political government debt is a part of what is driving crypto, in equal measure people are prepared to accept bail outs with false value but dismiss the utility and value crypto could bring in secure transactions.  The more ridiculous the deficit measures for government debt gets the more required an alternative will be, theres not many (any?) people qualified and willing to assess both markets but its clear they cannot reverse or fix QE programs and crypto will not be going away
7773  Economy / Speculation / Re: $10000 is just around the corner it seems. on: June 17, 2019, 12:58:26 PM
I got no belief in round numbers as tops because it is a reference to just one currency when the strength of Bitcoin is its use globally outside one defined value.   However the 10k area was top price  April 2018

On weekly bars its still arguable the trend in recent months continues upwards not outside or failed as it previously threatened to do.

The yearly average in blue is about 6000 and the long term lows follow 200 week average in yellow
7774  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin at $9,000 by the end of the year on: June 15, 2019, 10:11:03 PM
I want to see how it trades early on Monday to decide if its positive in closing in this area.     I looked back at the previous area for this 9000 price reached on May 30th and now.
I marked it as the top white horizontal bar on this chart:

Its the bottom pricing in January 2018 prices after a sell from the highs.   I'm undecided if its significant enough to be part of a top but I still think theres a pullback before 10k not that we are to simply go higher unchallenged
7775  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Promoting Gambling on: June 15, 2019, 09:59:28 PM
If you are really lucky but in the end, your whole month of salary will be put in line before you can hit the lucky bet.

Quit today and never go back if you are spending a whole months wages on any hobby or entertainment past time, doesnt really matter what it is if you are using up your money on one thing like that its obviously going to end badly.

Doesnt have to be gambling, I used to know someone who spent his weeks wages on alcohol from Friday to Sunday and had 20 left for the rest of the week, literally lived like a pauper while still needing to do heavy physical work in the job.    Thats really something to quit, the flaw is with the person who allows themselves to overspend.     Spend 1% and if you dont win, your time is up.
7776  Economy / Speculation / Re: *Q2-BTC-PRCE PREDICTION-GAME* Q2 LIST GAME on: June 15, 2019, 01:29:35 AM
I missed this contest but I really doubt I would have been anywhere near the mark when asked to guess a long time beforehand like this.   Its exceeded the expectations of quite a few, probably the majority of observers and speculators even.

Right now I'm with roy on this one, I think its got ahead of itself.    People are saying 10k but I dont buy the idea that it moves straight up without alot of force behind it, a good technical move often matches the news for that reason.
I have price right now hitting the underside of a previous uptrend, it should pull back some.   If it pulls back and confirms lower in a stable way then thats bullish, ironically the sell is where the real strength is realised and I guess the smart players pick it up for the next move upwards after that.
I dont think its moving higher at this point so easily,  the news on Iran and oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz is a big event but Im not sure its creating volume for BTC exactly

I relate what could be the near term high to the previous high on June 7th at 8084, wasnt a big pull back after that but its just the same trend top in action.    No position from me, I have to wait till early Monday anyhow
7777  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fans Can Bet Crypto on Twitch’s Top Streamers on: June 15, 2019, 01:08:27 AM
First job of the streamer is to pay attention to the audience and play the game as best they can while doing that.   Its juggling vs a serious player who can dedicate their attention purely to that task.    Its very common to find streamers have a compromised win ratio because of that, ignoring the burden of processing the stream will drop FPS and possibly introduce some lag.

Pro players Ive seen playing in a serious game have to turn off chat and ignore the stream, usually they are with sponsored equipment enough to have good enough FPS to ignore any penalty from that.   Its quite rare to see the most serious games self streamed
7778  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Justin Bieber VS Tom Cruise - UFC Fight on: June 15, 2019, 12:41:49 AM
Too late bru, no takesey backseys.     Its not the first time Bieber has offered a fight, I think he wanted to make away with some ones wife at some point.    I bet he was serious and drunk when he made this tweet originally, dangerous business twitter.    Just ask Elon Musk and his many tweets sometimes outside the law governing regulated securities, his business halved in worth since last summer which is many billions worth for him personally

cruise is a wrestler

Wrestling in UFC should beat boxing barring a massive skill or reach advantage and Bieber might know something but he is just not built to have any great advantage in boxing.   So Cruise is going to win this presuming he knows enough and is in shape, since he has a reputation as doing his own stunts I think he is the more motivated of the two to win the fight.

Seriously speaking Bieber or Cruise cannot afford any serious injury when they risk their capacity to make millions per film or album.   Breaking fingers even would be a major fail and insurance claim/liability on future projects, just seems legal paperwork would preclude an outright fight.    Plain boxing match with full safety gear is possible as its done on points and is less extreme

This page is for my supporters, not my detractors.

Thats not how economies work, not the successful ones anyway and a good discussion is a trade of ideas with some gain for both parties.   I really doubt theres any great insights coming from someone who must block those who disagree.   If they spam or obstructive rubbish then sure, a plain argument to disagree is practically proven if you must block it to proceed on.
A proper economy is always where destructive elements occurs, where greed is a given and many other negative factors.    If Bitcoin relies on purely positive thoughts its a false system, I really dont believe its a ponzi scheme or anything similar but no defence of any part of crypto should rely on removing those who disagree from the conversation
