7761  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: KINGDOM FILIPINA HACIENDA MONEY on: February 09, 2020, 09:26:54 PM

7762  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin withdrawal fee is damn high in exchanges! on: February 09, 2020, 09:00:26 PM
The only lackings I see in bitcoin is its too high withdrawal fee. Almost every exchange takes such a huge fee for bitcoin transactions. I tried in several exchanges and was shocked because they all are asking 9-12$ withdrawal fee! What do you think about this issue guys? Why are they asking this high fee?

I think if you compare it to fiat withdrawals, it is still cheap. Besides, they need to  money to keep their business going so I guess they need to charge extra. And we don't know what exchanges you try though, much better if you tell us so that we can we see if they have the 'rights' to charge such high fees. Maybe the network is clogged that time. Anyways, here is one example why it is cheap: Bitcoin whale moves ball busting $1.1B for just $83.
7763  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bull and bear market. on: February 08, 2020, 06:22:10 AM
There is a bull and bear market. In which market is it hypothetically possible to make more money? In which of these two markets do people usually make a profit? And how to determine the beginning and end of one of the markets?

Personally, I seldom trade on a bear market, I consider myself still fairly novice on the world of trading, so I might find it difficult to short or day trade. The best approach for me is to just buy in dip and then hold. But for more seasoned traders around, I would assume that it doesn't matter what market we have, whether it's bull/bear. Those guys really know to play in this market, and make profits day in day out.

7765  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC restoring faith in bull run. on: February 08, 2020, 05:17:53 AM
BTC rally this year has pulled many coins up after two years of bear market. It has just crossed the golden cross and restoring faith in bull run.

What do you expect? Every coin is traded against BTC. So when bitcoin goes up, a domino effect trickle to the altcoin market as well.

Golden cross are incredibly important and it could  be the signal for the investors to buy the dip. As halving is nearing there are big expectations and hopefully it will create history again, Guys just invest in BTC for a better tomorrow. Good luck!!!!

I see the market in red today. It might be some are selling obviously,  but it will be interesting what this golden cross (if we have cross this pattern yet) could bring. Yes I agree that majority of technical analyst really looks at it as a positive signals. So I do hope that the price will push to 5 digits again.
7766  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whoa, Ethereum breaks the $200 barrier on: February 08, 2020, 03:36:36 AM
I was surprised to see that today, ETH broke $200 price barrier, and a lot of altcoins in the top 10 are also making a good run, is this the bullish signal that we all have been waiting for the altcoin market?

Source: Binance

This is the first time in 2020 and the good thing is, it hasn't stop yet. We still going up and no signals of going down. If it doesn't stop, I think a $300 mark is possible too. The other Altcoins are doing well too and this will be the beginning of what might look a slight bull run.
ETH has not been getting up since it's last price hike many months ago. I think the only reason for its price hike now is
the ongoing hype of the BTC halving which will happen in the next few months.

Unfortunately, after a couple of days of gaining, the whole market is in red right now, BTC at @9700 and ETH @216. I guess crypto traders, specially in weekends took their profit for this weeks run. But I'm still positive that  ETH will try to break that $300 mark because obviously that will be the next big target for this month. And as you have said, with the hype of the BTC halving, it could also have a positive effect on the whole altcoin market.
7767  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Binance beat Ethereum on: February 07, 2020, 11:46:37 PM
I don't think that the two is even comparable to be honest. If you wanted to compare BNB then its closest competitor is Kucoin Shares (KCS), both are exchange coins.

But for the sake of argument, personally, I don't think that BNB will beat ETH any day, yes BNB enjoy the support of the community, but ETH still takes the second position behind BTC and would continue to be traded in millions in dollars whether we are in a bull or bear market.
7768  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FinCen Deputy Director remarks on Cryptocurrency on: February 07, 2020, 11:22:17 PM
Based on what the Deputy Director says, I interpret it that there will be full regulations as far as crypto-currencies goes. It will be implemented and will be sweep. Although each countries has it's own set of regulatory framework, but with this statement, we might see a single governing laws.

Thoughts?

I don't think he's alluding to that. The Deputy Director was just talking tough.

FinCEN already published pretty sweeping guidance on VASPs last year. I believe it was the first time since 2013 that they had done so. Aside from the occasional enforcement action, I don't expect to hear anything new from them anytime soon.

Yep, they just wanted to send the message again and to reiterate their stance and action on cryptocurrency, from exchanges to Bitcoin ATM's. So doesn't surprised me at all, the thing is, as regulations are already set in full motion already.

7770  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Lomachenko vs. Teofimo Lopez Lightweight Unification fight on: February 07, 2020, 10:15:53 PM
So if the boxing odds are going to be open, I'm sure that Loma will be the favourite here. But it will be good for gamblers to bet for Lopez, those who like good odds specially for live underdogs.
That's exactly what's in my mind now, if Loma would be a heacvy favorite I would like that because this would give better betting odds on his opponent.
As a gambler, we don't bet on the favorites all the time, we also consider an upset especially when the odds are very tempting.

Yeah, we really don't know what will be the outcome of the fight. Ruiz pulled one of the biggest upset in boxing last year so it's possible that Lopez can do the same here. It's safe to bet for the favourite in Loma, but you/we can also throw some small money in favour of Lopez just to make our gambling experience much better and exciting.
7771  Economy / Speculation / Re: Tom Lee: bitcoin could soar nearly 200% in the next six months(new) on: February 06, 2020, 11:04:02 PM
Lol, Tom Lee again?  Here is my thread way back last year: Where's FOMO at? Tom Lee.

@Searing - Yeah, I like Tom Lee as well, however, we should understand where the guy is coming from. We could as well call him a "bitcoin shiller" because of his outlandish predictions second to John McAfee (although McAfee already made a U-turn).
7772  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Lomachenko vs. Teofimo Lopez Lightweight Unification fight on: February 06, 2020, 10:14:51 PM
Well, this will be a thrilling fight between those two boxing fighters. But I am in favor of Lopez because he is young and probably hunger for this fight. At the age of 22, at this age usually, fighters have strength but dont have a strategy. I hope the odd will go with Lopez and this young fighter will win this match. Indeed, there are too many instances that Loma will have a chance.

I'll go with Lopez, he is not just hunger, he is really strong and can dominate who ever his opponent is. He already proved something for us and no one can ever deny that because of his record of that is undefeated. He had the IBF lightweight title and I think that he can defend that for about 6 times against his opponents because there is no other lightweight division fighter that can oust him from being a title holder. In some cases, although he was defeated in a summer olympics, that doesn't matter when it comes to a real boxing match. As you can see in his highlights, his punches are quick and strong for his body composition and I can see that Lomachenko will be knocked out by Lopez. But it depends, Lomachenko is also a good fighter but he's lucky if he can stay until round 12.

To be fair with Lopez, yes he is a hard punching machine, very young and hungry for more boxing glory. He just won the IBF lightweight, but there are a lot of good boxers as well in that division that can potentially defeat him. However, I don't see him knocking out Loma though, Loma is a technically sound boxer, not just in his offensive prowess, but he can play defense as well. So if the boxing odds are going to be open, I'm sure that Loma will be the favourite here. But it will be good for gamblers to bet for Lopez, those who like good odds specially for live underdogs.
7773  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whoa, Ethereum breaks the $200 barrier on: February 06, 2020, 09:40:22 PM
The news is certainly pleasant, only there is no merit of Ethereum. Judging by the charts, all coins rose in price after Bitcoin.
Therefore, the fact that Ethereum overcame the psychological mark of $ 200 by and large does not mean anything and does not affect anything.
If Bitcoin falls in price, Ethereum will seamlessly roll back for just at a slightly ticked mark.

I also understand this growth of Ethereum in The same way. Now you can say this about any coin that has started to grow in price. But the truth is that without bitcoin, there will be no bullish market growth. Therefore, to analyze the situation on the cryptocurrency market, it is enough to observe only bitcoin.

Of course, everyone knows that, all altcoins really depend on the price of BTC because obviously all trading pairs are BTC/<ALTCOIN>. The only time I remember that ETH is making is own stand is early 2018, January-February, when bitcoin has started it's dump, Ethereum and the rest of the top altcoin are gttting into their own all-time-high. But breaking $200 is a big hurdle for ETH today, at least investors are sort of getting their confidence back again.  Smiley
7774  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bakit ang KYC ay lubhang nakakatakot at walang silbi (hindi maaasahan) on: February 06, 2020, 09:50:27 AM
Heto isang example: Credit reference agency Equifax fined for security breach.

Quote
The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) issued Equifax Ltd with a £500,000 fine for failing to protect the personal information of up to 15 million UK citizens during a cyber attack in 2017.

The incident, which happened between 13 May and 30 July 2017 in the US, affected 146 million customers globally.

The ICO investigation found that, although the information systems in the US were compromised, Equifax Ltd was responsible for the personal information of its UK customers. The UK arm of the company failed to take appropriate steps to ensure its American parent Equifax Inc, which was processing the data on its behalf, was protecting the information.

Isang halimbawa lang yan ng mga dating hacks at posibleng naibenta na ang mga data sa darkweb o sa ngayon baka ginagamit na ng mga cyber criminals.

7776  Local / Pamilihan / BitSpark, Pioneer of HK-PH Remittance via Bitcoin Closes Down on: February 06, 2020, 12:21:02 AM
Hindi magandang balita,

Quote
Pioneering crypto exchange and Bitcoin remittance company BitSpark announces it is closing down on March 4, 2020. Functionality remains in the meantime to give users enough time to withdraw their cryptocurrencies.

While the company has Month-Over-Month growth, it was determined that the inconsistency of the market will make it unpredictable enough to continue. Also, the ongoing protest and coronavirus scare in Hong Kong where BitSpark is located were also cited as reasons.

https://bitpinas.com/news/bitspark-closes-down/
