Thanks great campaign! Been apart of it for around 5 months. No other campaign beats Bit-X!

As of right now your going to be looking at used miners. There is a forum on here for hardware, and also places like ebay.
Were kinda between generations it seems on multiple companies at once so it's a interesting time.
Used miners is not a good option for mining firm, and you won't find reliable mining rigs from people...Mostly people scam around but companies like BITMAIN are trustworthy. I doubt you are building a "mining firm". If you were doing that you would contact the company direct and have your hundreds of thousands ready. I'm going to guess you fall more in line with hobby miner..... what is your budget? Do you have a place ready for them to go in? Have you worked on cooling? Is wiring done? How much electricity do you have?

Did anybody notice that this new firmware has six fans not 4 fans. Could this be the firmware they are going to be using on there new miners. Food for thought ?
Hmmm very interesting find! I imagine they put it in there for some reason..... Guess we will wait and see. With S5 sold out hopefully we will see soon.

Call we officially call the ASIC boom over? I think so, ASIC Boom RIP 2013 - 2015.
We've defiantly reached a plateau, haven't been in territory like this since mid-2011 thru begin of 2013. Where do we go from here? Realistically I don't know how much bigger the network can grow, especially with the next halving right around the corner. I think the network becomes more efficient, but not much larger than ~400PH/s.
I still think there are a lot of A1 gear on network in cheap electricity areas. This gear has to drop off someday. We know LKETC make a TON of dragons. And other companies made some A1 stuff aswell. Likely most will be replaced with a newer miner sometime.

Thank you. actually the heat will be no issue. I prefer to build a miner, is that possible?
Not really. Only "building" would be if you got like usb stick miners and put it together. But still you are not building the miner. Most will be a all in one. I suggest looking at S3 or newer miners and really go with a budget in your head.

Yes, but where is the free money ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) Borrowing short as explained at the link post. No guarantees. Only my and Armstrong's track record which has been impeccable. It is not really free money when it's an investment. And shorting is not something that is without risk. I put this as highly risky even though the great record. I could be missing out on it... but I would rather miss out then risk on something like shorting.

The lack of reading comprehension and substantial analysis here is dismal, almost worthless to discuss anything on bitcoin talk it seems. In the entire 18 page legal document there's one example of someone buying bitcoin from coin.mx for ransom ware. Some of you guys eat up what the media says without even thinking or researching.
Literally no useful information is in this thread, which is appalling. Are people just trying to get signature campaign money and posting brain dead garbage everywhere?
I think it is more useful for exchanges. Make sure you have all your paperwork in line, or do not operate in the states you don't is really the end of story. Some mentioned coinbase I don't think we will see this effect coinbase. If they are hit it would be a huge blow. But coin.mx going down does not really to have changed BTC price much... so that is good. No one needs to worry about Coinbase since it's a U.S. government honeypot anyway. And where did you come up with this? I think it's one of the more trusted exchanges. I have never had a issue with them.

Mining really is my bread and butter. I have stuck with it from GPU days. It's something you have to have a passion for.
But it's a lot of fun if you enjoy it. I plan on keeping mining as long as I can. Hopefully long time.

I like to horde most of my coins I do not like spending them. I enjoy watching them build up. Sure I do spend some but a lot of that is on investments.
Main thing I pay out of it is power bill, it is not cheap. I do cash in each month some (or most months) to pay for electricity. This makes it where if BTC dropped to 0 or something small I at least did not pay thousands in electricity bills mining and lose it all.

I hope bitcoin will be, that would be great. But some places it just will not happen.
I think pretty much any country gold will hold value easily. So I'm going with gold, but hoping I'm wrong and it turns out to be BTC.

Work hard, have a savings and you must have a right attitude towards things believe in yourself and don't afraid to fail.
Failure is the key to success, you cannot be successful if you don't fail, and the person who haven't failed in his life haven't done big yet, all the big personalities across the globe have tasted the taste of failure and that is the reason they are most richest person of the world now. Failure is not fun, but you do have to kinda keep fighting. My worst fail in mining was asic scrypt miner. I dropped some serious cash for an A2. And one day the price just kept dropping... and within a few weeks was worth less then half easily. I got lucky that I rented it for extremely high rates so still ROI'ed. Just was a close one, and not fun watching the gear drop so quick.

Exactly, with the signature campaign there is no risk of losing like in day trading. And risk of losing in day trading is huge. So for the people that like to play it safe, sig campaign is a no brainer over day trading.
yeah but whales wouldn't bother with signature campaigns. if they have 50BTC to trade with I'm sure they can easily earn five times the amount people usually earn from their signatures. Depends on if they invest right. With 50 BTC you could have huge gains or loss depeding on what you bet on. If you are informed yes you have a better chance. Signature campaign you have zero risk. Just do your normal postings. So kinda 2 completely different things.

I say wrap it up and go home, Bitmain obviously has no plans on producing and distributing these any time soon or more likely ever. Maybe the S6 or 7 will actually be upgraded in the future but I think the 2 is too far done.
I think at this point they would rather sell a whole miner vs an upgrade kit. I could guess some of the reasons for it. Most likely higher sales for entire unit, lowers costs of making it. Have more large scale buyers on whole miner. As a small customer a kit would be great if you could upgrade. But I just don't see it, they have been quiet to long.

The more I look into this, the more I hypothesize that humidity/moisture is causing my problems (since temperature is irrelevant in a low humidity environment). I checked the humidity today-- it is 91% (much higher than usual - yikes)!
Depending on the MSL, the plastics of ICs can absorb moisture (it is standard practice to bake ICs that have been exposed to moisture prior to reflow soldering to prevent damage). I suspect that I have a marginal IC on the controller that starts fine in a low humidity environment (HVAC) or when I "bake" it with the hair dryer prior to startup in a high humidity environment.
I wonder if something as simple as silica gel packs placed inside the miner near the controller would extend the life of the controller boards?
I have 50-60 percent humidity during a lot of the summer. I have had no problems, but it's not next to window or anything. So not as extreme as 90+ but it can handle mining in at least some humidity with no issues.

I have a computer which will not used, however, it is about 4-5 years old already, is it worth to use it to mine BTC? If yes, how much will I expect to get in 1 month Not only it is not worth but is impossible to mine bitcoins with a computer. It is impossible to mine with a new computer. To not speak here for a old one. It's NOT impossible. Even when we were to where it was "impossible" to GPU mine, someone hit TWO blocks with a USB miner. It's basically just the lottery. Claiming it's impossible is naive. Are you likely to? No. But if you feel lucky, go for it. Yes it is a lottery, but chances are horrible. If you think you can hit chances like that, than you are better off playing a real lottery and if you win, you will win much more than hitting a block or two in Bitcoin. Lol It also depends on hashrate. I know there was a group on the forums that was renting large hash rates. They did multiple runs, and I believe in the end had a positive amount. Which is part luck of the pool they used when solo mining. So it can be done but yes with a usb stick miner or two it is horrible odds.

As always, the easiest and most convenient way to "earn bitcoins" is, and has always been, to get a job and buy bitcoins.
What ever you do for a job right now or plan to if you're in school is the best way to earn bitcoin. Do whatever you do to earn as much fiat as possible per hour, then use that fiat to buy bitcoin.
P.S. There are multiple threads about this topic. You should find them, close this thread, and then read them.
I know about this method but in my country its very hard to get part time jobs for students...is there any..other way from where I can earn from home.. Ok, good point. You said you have some skills - advertise those skills in the Services discussion of this Forum and work out a deal to get paid for it. Once you have a reputation of good service you can charge higher prices for your time. Start a thread about your services, and advertise the link for it in your signature. Unless you have a good/valuable skill a part time job still beats it. I understand they might be hard to find. I know during points of high school and college I picked up a part time job. It was not always easy with scheduling, or having tests, etc. But honestly your going to have a hard time with "earn from home" beating a job.

Absolutely easiest way would be virwox but this is also the most expensive way. So I guess instead of virwox, I would suggest him localbitcoins.
I really think being new sending him twords localbitcoins is not best way. Maybe if he does make sure small trades at first. You really don't want to send someone brand new to a place that can get people scammed. I vote to stick with well known exchanges. Yes a little more setup time. But in the long run cheaper BTC and more reliable.

Good day Sir.
Im thinking of joining this campaign in the future when I reached the required rank . There is no specific day of payment right? So if I joined Wednesday at the same time , I will be paid at that day and time? Thanks !
Once you are added to bot you will be paid 7 day's later. So it depends on when you are added to it, but yes it is one week later after that.

Best wallet for cold storage is a properly done paper wallet. You simply cannot beat it. Paper does not link to the internet ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Yes you have to be careful when making it, and also store it in safe place. But paper wallets are very strong in my mind.
