I just put something down on Biden at 2.23 (...)

In which place is Biden still 2.23 ? That would be a nice little surebet of around 20+%.

I think 2.60 is about fair at this point, but will be good value in November. Catching the peak is very difficult, so I would always keep some powder dry and stake in portions. Starting from September 29th, I expect the odds to go down (from whereever they are at this point then).

If I knew you had AKo, I wouldn't have called with my Queens.

I wouldn't have called as well, I would have gone all-in ( to get rid of jayce). You are only doomed against AA/KK, but Foma's range is big enough here with 11BB left, although it was points bubble iirc. In most of the cases you are solid favourite and even if you lose, you still have ~7.5BB, which is enough to work with. Winning the hand will put you at 30+BB and with >50%, you should take your chances imo.

Just shoving could be a little trap, but most of the times the player has something where he doesn't necessarily wants to be called. With AA/KK you don't go all-in in this spot, but want some action and not just the blinds.

That is an amazing approach and what a great way to "watch" F1, I do congratulate you for your amazing approach... However the gambling website that we are writing at the topic of, usually has winners, or maybe slightly more but not "improve even if you have a worse car" type of option available, I mean if that was a thing I would totally bet on it, hell I bet on Lando to win every single race (even though I know I will lose) but at the same time that doesn't mean that I am wrong.

It is getting boring 100% guaranteed because if you do want to gamble on it, there is one winner, you know who will win and that's it, there is nothing more to it, how could gambling on F1 be any fun when you know who will get it 90% of the time. Obviously you can still watch it if you want and have fun, but we are talking about (or at least I am) gambling on it.

Hmm, there are a lot of markets in F1, not only winners market. You can bet on H2H, Top3, point finish, number of classified cars, fastest lap, safety car and what else. So if you see a driver improving, you should take your chances with some H2H on him to spice up things.

But I agree that F1 is boring. Too much about the cars, too many rules.
784  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Netherlands pilot scheme to allow women to play in senior men's team on: August 05, 2020, 09:13:29 AM
If any of you would like to bet, what do you think are the chances of a woman playing in the first men's team of Ajax or PSV in the next 10 years?

0.0%. It's just not possible because of physical preconditions, where men have clear advantage. In some lower division it might be possible, but will bring a lot of other issues (like having additional locker room etc.).

Men and women competing on the same level is only possible, when fitness, muscles, height etc. plays no role. Like in Darts for example, where Fallon Sherrock was doing great in the PDC Championship last year. Or in Chess, Poker etc.

786  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: August 04, 2020, 08:41:26 PM
Everything is lining up for this season to be one of worsts for NE, they have lost now 8 players, the most of any team, and several of them are key players and when you add no certainty at the QB position, no preseason and probably a new offensive system this does not seems as if it will end well.

Add to this that the Jets have lost two of their best players in Adams/Mosley and the AFC East is looking even more pathetic. The Bills have only lost Lotulelei as of now, but still they are only 2.00 (=50%) to win the division, while Patriots are 2.60 (38%). Both were 2.30 before, which I found a bit weird already and now with NE losing so many players (Chung is also out) on top of all the other problems you mentioned, these odds for the Bills look very tempting. But I won't place any bet yet I think - who knows what will happen in the next days. I even find the 9.00 for the Dolphins somehow sexy.

And the positive news, since we have a lot of fans of it in here: The XFL is back - most likely Cool

Yes, don't worry guys, everything will be taken care of Grin I already started and Trofo and I agree on 8 matches, which is not a lot, but I made some brave selections to have all 300mBTC pour moi alone, lol:

First rounds are already hard enough and I don't follow RUS1 at all Roll Eyes Can't remember any MM that had so many different leagues (of which I have no clue), so I am expecting to have very few correct picks. So feel free to oppose me, I would think there are at least 10 wrong picks in there^^

Juventus - Olympique Lyonnais
Manchester City - Real Madrid
Perth Glory - Melbourne Victory
Nagoya Grampus Eight - Urawa Red Diamonds
Yokohama F. Marinos - Kashiwa Reysol
FK Khimki - CSKA Moscow DRAW
Tambov - FC Rostov
Barcelona - Napoli
Bayern München - Chelsea DRAW
Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao - Shandong Luneng Taishan
Cerezo Osaka - FC Tokyo
Guangzhou R&F - Jiangsu Suning
Spartak Moscow - FC Sochi
Rosenborg BK - Sarpsborg 08
Flamengo - Atlético Mineiro

Can we please not have any Chinese/Japanese/Korean leagues included ever again, Scandinavian matches would do just fine, hell i'd rather bet on Hungarian division II...

Grin You went 3-2 with the asian matches this weekend, the rest 2-8, so you better wish for more asian matches^^ On a more serious note, it doesn't matter imo which matches/leagues they choose, you would always need a lot of luck to top the list. And I rather finish with 5 correct picks than with 10 while the winner has 11. In the end all people know more about EPL/La Liga/Serie A, so this should even out again, but not sure.

@JanpriX has won our internal contest with 8 correct picks, but unfortunately there is no prize for it:

On a positive note, we were very good with our picks, where we found consensus, 3-1 with those ones.

Does anyone have any idea or did Sportsbet ever reveal how many users participate in the MM's ? Looking at the leaderboard, #50 still has 8 correct picks, then there are probably gazillions of people with 5-7 correct picks and fewer with 0-4. So my guess would be maybe 300-400 (?).
790  Economy / Gambling / Re: #3 Bitcointalk Poker Series (0.05 BTC & BIG BTC Ticket sponsored by SwC Poker) on: August 02, 2020, 08:27:08 PM
Gratz @webtricks, after you beat @Improved's TT and my AQ with QT in a three-way all-in, there were no doubts anymore, although it got close again in HU, but well done.

Rankings after 6/8 tournaments, really tight:

Best finish for @jayce ever with his 6th place today.

And today first itm finish, gratz Cool

@arallmuus is on a streak regarding point finishes, currently at 8 and counting. @figmentofmyass sits at 7.

First jinxed @Betwrong, now @arallmuus and @figmentofmyass extended his streak to 8 today - lets see, if you are able to stand the pressure next Sunday Wink

are there running stats on the lottery totals somewhere on the spreadsheet? i don't see them. @tyKiwanuka

Yes, you maybe have to scroll to the right to see them:

Super weird tournament today me thinks. Second break and still 11 players in, thats a lot.

Where is Efi? It's strange to play this game without him! Smiley

He was registered until 10min before tournament started, but then un-registered. Had big greek fiesta yesterday and is probably still drunk or too tired Grin
792  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football in China - The Chinese Super League on: August 02, 2020, 04:06:41 PM
Really ugly football we get to see. The football was of course never very good quality-wise, but at least quite entertaining. Now this is just plain boring to watch, even if there are some goals scored.

Some early plays for next round:

Wuhan - Shijazhuang / Wuhan -0.25 @ 1.79 3/10

There isn't a big difference in the foreign players, but Shijazhuang as freshly promoted team has way worse domestic players than Wuhan, who made a good impression thus far. This will be the first real test for Shijazhuang (Hebei got early red card in first game of the season) and I think Wuhan is a bit too much for them at this point.

Qingdao - Shanghai SIPG / Shanghai -1.75 @1.70 6/10

Qingdao promoted as well for this season and there is just a class difference between these two. This one should be 4-0+, if SIPG takes Qingdao seriously.

Heibei - Chongqing / Hebei -0.5 @2.05 4/10

Hebei has a good team and good import players and they added another import striker the other day. Chongqing is struggling with their personel - watched todays game and it was just plain awful, even though they got a point and deserved three against poor Tianjin.

-

As said earlier, maybe save some money/stakes for live betting, but whatever you do, good luck Smiley

Nowadays the Hardcore Fans more friendly as they was back in the days , (...)

Disagree Smiley In lets say the 80's and 90's hooligan culture was more popular and visible in the stadiums, but starting in the late 90's more and more Ultra groups popped up and they are more influential than anything you have seen before. They might be more friendly and open for discourse, but they have quite some power over and in their clubs - not talking about Sandhausen or Heidenheim here, but Schalke, Frankfurt, Munich, Dortmund, Dresden, Rostock etc. If you as a club do something they are not ok with, you will have war, because they are very well organized with even fascist tendencies imo.

These are the rules from Dresden Ultra group "K-Block":

  • You have to follow the instructions from the leaders of the group.
  • If you are not willing to support the team, you are not allowed to stay.
  • You are not welcome, if drunk.
  • Some banners have higher priorities than others, hand-made has more value than printed, so you can't put your banner anywhere.
  • You are not allowed to damage any materials for choreographies, not even some pieces of paper or some balloons.
  • Filming or taking pics is a sin.
Source: https://www.ultras-dynamo.de/k-block/

I don't think you are doing yourself a favour as a club, if you exclude even parts of these groups. But it will happen and I am curious, if they show solidarity and won't show up at all, like "either all of us or none of us" Wink
795  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: August 02, 2020, 08:00:17 AM
Curious to see the updated standings once the Serie A matches are settled.

One guy with 8, two with 7 and then an armada with 6. If we assume that everyone has Shanghai win (and they will win pretty sure), we have only 4 games left to catch up three "points". If someone had picked Hebei X/2, Chongqing and IFK, then there would be some hope - but then again these teams have to win first, which is very unlikely.
Next weekends edition should include the CL matches, but I am all for a midweek edition, since there are 8 EL matches, 6 chinese matches and then toss in some match from Australia maybe. Anyone wants to ask Steve about it ? Cheesy

Quote
but you can put anything. really just a link (can add a hash to be sure it doesn't change). e.g. can be an mp3, mp4, jpg, png, gif. We'll probably allow videos with audio..
as long as file size < some amount and follows some particular format, then you can put anything.
so a building in taurion can play music around it, or a radio station
or animated gif or video above a building..
Quelle: XAYA Discord / snailbrain

Nothing to brag about with our MM picks Roll Eyes

Leaderboard shows two users with 5 correct picks and I assume the ITA1 games haven't been added yet, since I am showing up with 4 correct ones after Arsenal game. So we are out of contention guys, better luck next weekend Grin
798  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Betting & Discussion] Chinese Basketball Association - Rest of 2019/2020 Season on: August 01, 2020, 07:02:31 PM
Guangsha - Fujian under 219,5 @1.82 4/10

They thought this was AllStar-Game and came out firing on all cylinders. This bet was never in danger of winning, but this is sometimes better than losing a close one. The line was going up a bit after I placed the bet, thats never a good sign in CBA as it was the case here too, 119-132 FT.

Profit: +5.22
Yield: 5.03%
W-L: 12-13
Win rate: 48.00%
Average Stake: 4.15
Average Odds: 2.39

Fujian was the only underdog to make it to the next round. Quarter-finals will start tomorrow with the Top4 teams from regular season tuning in and starting their run for the title:

Guangdong - Qingdao
Beijing - Fujian
Xinjiang - Beikong
Liaoning - Zhejiang

Not too excited with these matchups; Guangdong and Beijing should have no problems to reach SF and odds suggest just that. I can see one of Beikong/Zhejiang pulling an upset, but lets see what odds we will get for that (these games are on Monday).
799  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: New Gambling idea - How it can be "patented"? on: August 01, 2020, 06:36:20 PM
I have a question , and maybe you're more expert about this argument...
If some one get an idea about a New Gambling game, it can be "patented"?  If yes how it can be done?

Just as E.G. "fantasy-football" how to protect the idea of a game like this? just with trademark?

You can of course patent it and you should do so, if you think it's a great new game/style. As a single, private person it won't be easy to stop people from copying it and you would have to have some money at hand to pay lawyers etc., but legally you can sue and stop them. I guess you will spend a lot of time in court though, if it's some revolutionary new game Cheesy

For a start I would go to a patent office and apply for it and I would suggest an international/world-wide patent for this matter. And maybe some lawyer to help you with the paperwork Smiley
800  Economy / Gambling / Re: #3 Bitcointalk Poker Series (0.05 BTC & BIG BTC Ticket sponsored by SwC Poker) on: August 01, 2020, 06:10:09 PM
(...) it seems Bitmutiny would be the only player that would be qualify for the Grand Finale for now even if he doesnt get any points for the last 3 games.

I did some calculation and it's still possible, but very unlikely. And according to the stats he is the best player, when it comes to average finishing position (disregarding Murat who only participated once and still tops this category Grin). Finishing outside the points last Sunday was just a little faux pas and I consider only 8 spots for Grand Finale still being available.

If anyone noticed, we have two new players for tomorrow Smiley
