Fool me once shame on you, feel me twice, well I'm just a dumbass with BTC to throw away. Don't be that guy!  Grin

The individual registered MiningUnited with domainsbyproxy.com, which is private to the public but not to DomainsByProxy. There are so many digital trails left by this fool, you could easily track him/her down if it's worth your time. I lost a little under 4 BTC (1.5 of which was returned through MU) and completely invested knowing I was gambling that BTC; it was my best option at mining free BTC and I took the risk... and lost. I filed through ic3.gov and have done my own research to track the individual. If the FBI were to actually get on this case, which could happen if enough people file at ic3.gov, they could catch them in a day of work, easily.

Completely agree! I'm also of the belief that someone will track him/her or them down. So whether they were playing SatoshiDice50% to help refund users, get rid of the evidence, or to line more of their pockets, at this point it really doesn't matter. I'm a firm believer in KARMA!

fair enough although we never know how many addresses 'they' have?! - I wonder when the 85 refund is happening..    *cough* 1.0+

I think it's probally safe to say that their will be no "Payout." 85 BTC is far from the total that is outstanding as far as I can see. They had marked mine as paid, even with the "Click Here" confirmation and yet I didn't receive anything. I hope I'm wrong, but I think everyone will have an "incompatible" wallet!  Wink Like I have said earlier, if they want to prove me wrong, I'll be more than happy to tell the Forum that I received my refund.

The site is saying that their in the process of returning 85 BitCoin to users. That seems like a far cry of the total that they really owe according to the last payout update!

I stopped counting after 150 BTC, and that doesn't count the claims that some were paid. I haven't received anything. I would be happy to report if that changes!  Smiley

I am intrigued by the social and economical relevance that Bitcoin provides. It also allows anonymity when making transactions.

I'm proud to be one of the first Mining United members (#2 on the Payout list) and still loving the service!

Just wanted to confirm 2 more payouts to the board this evening. Paid on time (actually early), so I'm very happy with the service on my end!  Grin

I don't blame you, it's just that it doesn't help ^^
Some random posts somewhere wouldn't increase the credibilty by much.
If it's a year-long member with 1k+ posts , then it's way more unlikely that he will mislead you.

Respectfully I do have to disagree! First of all, just because someone has posted 1500 times on this board, doesn't make that person credible. I've seen posters on stock message boards spewing out garbage all day long and I've seen people that lurk on a message board and finally decide to share their wisdom and knowledge with the rest of us. BTW, I'm not trying to say that I'm the latter.  Grin

At the end of the day, each individual needs to make the best decision for themselves in relation to their risk tolerance.

The huge amount of new accounts with 1-5 posts supporting it, does increase the doubt instead of lowering it.

I do understand your point! But unfortunately I can't change the fact that it was my 1st post. I guess I could of posted about something irrelevant to just get my number of posts to a level of more credibility!  Wink

MOD EDIT:
Fixed the quotation

Your approach is just very strange.

It's new, but it's working.

I think less is more! I think the more you try and explain your business model, the more some feel the need to bash it! I look at myself as being an investor in a startup company. Is their inherent risk built in? Yes! But like any investor, I assume those risks. I have been very happy with my return and their service to date. They have done everything that they have said they would do and then some. Any questions I have had through e-mail have always been answered very professionally and timely.

The bottom line - If you think it doesn't fit in your risk / reward criteria, then by all means don't send your bitcoins!
