781  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can we have a newbie Bitcoin wallet? on: August 16, 2023, 10:04:45 PM
Is there any wallet for newbies? If there's none, I think we should have a wallet for newbies. As a newbie who wants to learn and more about crypto, I've learnt that owning a wallet is very essential in managing one's crypto assets hence the necessity for anyone who wants to get involved in Bitcoin must have crypto wallet.

So I'm asking if there can be wallets for newbies that'll contain tutorial measures on how to use it and it'll also be user friendly to newbies thereby helping them to learn all the basics of Bitcoin wallet so as they grow and improve their knowledge about wallets and Bitcoin in general, they can advance to pro versions of Bitcoin wallets. With this, to send, receive coins  and do other things like message signing will  be less complicated to newbies and will also make the use of Bitcoin wallet an easy task for all newbies
I mean that wouldn't be necessary I mean there was no special treatment for newbies having their own wallet, and there was no perfect cryptocurrency wallet, but if all you want if information about the cryptocurrency wallet your lucky because you are in this forum, everything you need is already here to on starting your cryptocurrency journey so if you want a Bitcoin wallet I would suggest Electrum Wallet but there are still a lot of walletss out there that you could try just make sure to do the research about it, In my opinion, it is the most suitable and safest wallet for newbies, it is also easy to install I didn't really experience any issues on years of using it, you could just follow this instruction to Safely download and verify your electrum [GUIDE] How to Safely Download and Verify Electrum [Guide].

I suggest continuing to learn more here in the forum, When i was just getting started choosing a wallet was actually difficult i mean it was just so complicated and everything was just new to me but if you're really interested in cryptocurrency and Bitcoin your gonna need to learn it and do it on your own.
782  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Chase to control the market! on: August 16, 2023, 04:39:38 PM
I have been in crypto for more than 5 years and i have seen a lot of incidents within the industry. There was a time when government and even a lot of people call Bitcoin a scam or a scammer currency. Many thought that only hacker scammers use Bitcoin for money laundering, drug dealing etc. But now the situation has changed and it's good to see how institution chasing each other to not be late to join the industry. The situation is so intense that now what matter most is who will control the market. In the current situation, it seems, no one wants to be the last one to jump over space.

Bitcoin already has this bad image on a lot of people around the world, for sure Bitcoin is used in a lot of illegal transactions through the past years, I mean it is actually a tool and its just Bitcoin's nature of being decentralized is somehow reliable to a lot of scammers, criminals, etc. out there. We can clearly see it in a lot of articles, news, etc. where Bitcoin becomes always a big part of illegal transactions. Even though there are a lot of allegations if you already know Bitcoin or what it is you know that Bitcoin is not what people think of it.

But through the years Bitcoin adaptation was already skyrocketed and there are already a lot of platforms, banks, and governments that are already supporting cryptocurrency and Bitcoin because they already know the potential of it, for sure there will be a lot of them that are going to be a part of the next Bullrun so everyone would want a piece of that,  I mean there is still time since the market is still holding on a current market price, for sure when the market price pump a huge percentage a lot of investors or whales are going invest again, I don't know if big companies are already buying today but maybe in the coming months were already going to see a huge increase considering there are already more people who know cryptocurrency and Bitcoin.

784  Economy / Speculation / Re: Could Bitcoin potentially serve as a safe haven in the upcoming economic crisis on: August 16, 2023, 12:04:21 AM
Hello everyone,

there's a lot of discussion about an impending economic crisis. I'm curious about how Bitcoin will perform during this crisis. Will it function as a safe haven similar to gold? Or will its value decline significantly?

what do you think ?

Potentially this could easily be a safe haven actually since as we notice the market price of Bitcoin or if we check the Bitcoin timeline we could easily see that the market price just continues an incline and continue to increase over the years, with the increasing demand of bitcoin and the huge bitcoin adaptation around the world we could easily expect that the market price is going to huge in the coming years, I mean it just the nature of Bitcoin or how it was structure with just 21 million supply and the increasing demand this is probably going to be a huge safe haven actually, I mean one thing is the inflation, with just investing our money on cryptocurrency or bitcoin we could potentially bypass the inflation which is already a big problem around the globe.

It might be similar to gold that holds a value, I mean it was already compared to a lot of gold or even called digital called in the past years, but still, this cryptocurrency or Bitcoin is still a new thing and possibly be the future so there was no guaranteed that Bitcoin is going to hold its value on the economic crisis. I mean last time when there are news about war the market price drop a huge percentage so possible it could be the case in the future as well.

786  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin really not for everyone? on: August 15, 2023, 11:29:59 PM
Before now, I've seen some forum members argue that bitcoin is not meant for everyone.
However in their own right, they have some point, but on the other hand, let's look at it from this angle.
For some of us that are from developing countries, is not easy to convince someone about bitcoin or educating somebody about it at first instance and you expect them to accept it wholeheartedly.
They need lots of education and convincing because they do not have an idea of what your saying or what bitcoin looks likes especially for those of them above middle age, because the semantics of bitcoin is a bit different and the approach towards accepting new idea's that is  different from the conventional ways they know of, always comes with some level of resistance.
To a large extent you can even argue that some of our leaders in government don't have an idea of what this innovation is all about hence the few restrictions here and there.
So for me, no amount of educating people about bitcoin is enough, if an individual has the energy to go round his community to talk to people about bitcoin, I think is a welcome development, as long as his giving them the right knowledge on bitcoin education.
In telling people about bitcoin, even if they don't seem to accept it at first, you will see a good number coming to pick interest much later. Just because a person didn't accept your idea presented to him immediately doesn't perfectly mean he has totally rejected for at some point in life he might find reasons to give the idea a try even without you knowing about it. Let's keep the ball rolling bitcoin is here to stay.

For sure Bitcoin is not for everyone there are going to be limitations even though you really want Bitcoin right, I guess if you really want Bitcoin you can have Bitcoin like if Bitcoin has been banned in your country or something like that if you really want to buy Bitcoin you could find ways on that if you really want it. If they just don't like what Bitcoin is then they don't like it just let it be that way because we cannot really expect everyone to like Bitcoin on what it is because there are always people that are not going to like it that is for sure. Let's just take fiat money even though it is fiat money and we need it there are people that do want the idea of using fiat money, or we bank there are people that are not going to like the idea of banks or don't have any bank account at all.

I think the thing here is just don't force anyone to learn about cryptocurrency or bitcoin if they just don't want to because just like I say not everyone is going to like or want it. The easiest way to teach them is just to give them an idea of what it is and they tell them that they should do the research on their own.
787  Other / Meta / Re: Is resetting a BTT account password bad? on: August 15, 2023, 11:09:33 PM
I mean changing your password was actually a good thing right? For security some are going to recommend changing passwords probably at some point could be every 6months or something like that. So changing it wasn't bad at all, it's actually a good thing right the thing here is there are times when members could easily notice a change of posting style or somehow how members make their posts. When some members change their password and then members here in the forum notice the change of posting style like it was completely different from his or her old post there was a possibility that the account was hacked, I mean members are obviously going to assume that it is a hacked account or sold account and that just means that members might tag your account as hacked.

It could easily be solved if you sign a message if you stake your Bitcoin address here in the forum you could easily prove to everyone here that you're the main owner of the account if you do that. So make sure to stake your Bitcoin address here so that if your account gets hacked you could easily recover your account.
788  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is bitcoin moving now? on: August 15, 2023, 10:49:47 PM
Overtime now it seem like bitcoin is lacking direction but from the look of things it has started gaining effectively price direction and this is going to going a long bullishly but am trying to ask why is moving now on the fact that dollar is rising extremely I thought that would affect the demand and supply of bitcoin... Is this the green opportunity for us to buy or is going to return back after a while let me hear from you because have started calling to ask if they should buy base on the current bitcoin progress if is going to last. Do you think the price will continue voraciously by the day?

What do you mean by moving ? there wasn't any kind of movement on Bitcoin from the last pump of Bitcoin around 31k$ dollars I think that was the last time it actually move when there was some news about the XRP, which actually kinda hype the market a little bit, In my opinion, the market price could probably drop in the coming months and for me it's actually a good thing because I could buy more bitcoin in a lower market price and accumulate more volume as well, I was really surprise that Bitcoin could hold this market price around 29k$ sustaining this kind of price was great but I was surprised about it considering there was no big news about Bitcoin.

Whats going to happened for sure is where gonna continue to drop the market price in the coming months and would pump again in the ber months probably in the end of the year, usually that is where the pump came in,already people are going to realize that the Bitcoin halving is near so hype could easily be trigger and pump the market easily.

792  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wrong way to accumulate. on: August 14, 2023, 10:41:21 PM
Basically almost every bitcoiner is in for accumulation committing  certain amount of investment with a timeline to it. It could be for short term or long term plan.

Some investors starts with a short term in mind then later progresses to a long term arising from a reassessment on how they were unable to meet  up their planned portfolio target with the initial short term frame.
For it's healthy when people set an accumulation target in accordance to their financial strength, as doing otherwise by acting like you're in a competition with other investors you may end up uncontrollably investing all you  have got (what I term hyper-investment) with nothing left in hand to solve other pressing financial needs/demands putting yourself under pressure where you may have to alter the total amount you have invested, jeopardizing your plans.

You also risk investing beyond what you can afford to lose which is not what any wise bitcoin investor would do. Bitcoin accumulation is not supposed to be a stressing and self-pressured process but some persons doing it in that way thinking they had arrived late to bitcoin and have to meet up, but that's all a fallacy. With bitcoin you're never late, you only arrived at your right time.

What are your own thoughts on wrong ways you think people follow in  bitcoin accumulation.

I mean dollar cost average works great and you're not risking anything on that since you're just using or setting a small amount maybe your salary to be used to buy Bitcoin right? And it would be great for long-term investment because you could just accumulate more and more until you have a huge investment while waiting as well for the right time to sell. I mean short-term investment doesn't really have a great profit if you're going to accumulate you're already aiming for the long term, short-term investment needs huge funds in order to take a good profit. So that is where the risk could come because you getting pressure to make a profit in just a small amount of time, it's cryptocurrency and bitcoin the market has its cycle so we should aim at the top we need to be patient.

794  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has nothing to do with crime on: August 13, 2023, 10:48:12 PM
Because of bitcoin does not give public details of people who make transaction with it, some people do say it promote crime. People needs to understand one of the features of bitcoin is freedom that anybody can get access to it, it does not discriminate.  The privacy features of bitcoin is very important to humanity,  which I know one of its advantage is for safety by using cryptography that makes all transactions safe and encrypted.

Privacy in transactions of bitcoin is much important,  if their was no privacy it would have cause several criminal attacks.  For those who think bitcoin encourages crime because of hiding  public data of users don't understand the importance of bitcoin being private.  Before bitcoin  started  existing monetary crime have been existing.  Bitcoin is not a reason for monetary crime,  bitcoin is just for everyone and does not discriminate but accept everyone.

Sure Bitcoin has nothing to do with the crime that's for sure, I mean yes bitcoin has been used or related to the illegal transaction but that doesn't really mean Bitcoin is related or something illegal or it is something that is a scam. Bitcoin in its nature just is decentralized which anyone can use and take advantage of that as well as having an anonymous transaction which is probably why it is getting connected to laundering or illegal transactions.

I don't believe its promotes crime at all, that statement doesn't really make any sense at all, It's just how the structure of Bitcoin works, and yes you can use it on any transaction, which is just similar to fiat money, Does fiat promote crimes? I don't think so, it is just a tool that you can use as well and can be used as well on illegal transactions or crimes beside it is really used on a lot of crimes. So I completely agree with you that Bitcoin is just for everyone but its not a reason for a crime.

796  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is buying BTC now, the best option ??? on: August 12, 2023, 06:49:37 PM
As at today, April 1 Btc grew by 1.96% hitting $28,571 in the last 24hrs.

we could be expecting the next bull run in the crypto market which will most likely be led by BTC to start in 2024 reaching it's highest in 2025.

one major element that can catalyse the next bull run, is the Bitcoin halving that triggers every 4 years.  And as expected after every Bitcoin halving comes a  Bull run in the crypto market.

So, from the look of things, don't you think that investing in Btc at the moment could be worth considering?

For sure in buying cryptocurrency Bitcoin is always the best option to buy whatever the situation of the market, for sure there are some popular alternative coins in the market that has higher reward compared when you invest in Bitcoin, but if you're going to analyze the risk, Bitcoin is the safest investment that has almost guarantee reward when you invest on it. If you're going to consider the Bullrun for sure Bitcoin is going to probably triple its last all-time high, realistically we could easily see the 100k$ market price in the next Bullrun considering the adaptation of Bitcoin in the past months or years has really increased to the point where even banks are already supporting cryptocurrency and Bitcoin.

Also, most traders and investors will easily recommend you to Hold a huge percentage of Bitcoin in your portfolio because it is just the most guaranteed investment instead of investing in altcoins, which is high risk and high reward. Bitcoin should easily be 50% or high on your portfolio, or possibly buy some blue chips altcoins as well because on Bullrun it could easily be a huge profit.

798  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Paano Ka Ba Manghikayat o Mag educate Sa Mga Kababayan Natin on: August 12, 2023, 05:45:33 PM

799  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Any legit bitcoin mining apps? on: August 12, 2023, 05:17:11 PM
Hi
I just want to ask if there are any legit btc mining that i can start mining with as a newbie?

Just like what other members say there's no way that you could actually mine on a smartphone on an application because it just doesn't have mining power or hardware that could possibly mine Bitcoin or even other altcoins, I mean there are somewhere you could mine using your pc back in the day I can mine some altcoins using my pc on some website I can sell them on the market but it just wasn't worth that much and considering it's going to use your GPU it just wasn't worth it the way I see it.

There are some popular mining that gets trendy in the past months I think, Pi network I think where you can mine them on your smartphone but it turns out to be fake, you just need to open the application and it would start to mine already but it was just numbers and UI where you see the numbers increasing thinking that your phone is actually mining, but they just do it to get peoples information since you need to register and have an account on the application. The way I see it is developers of this Pi network are actually legitimate, but thinking that the coins you mine on your smartphone would get a value is very low. I mean if it did it would still not even be worth it because of its supply.
800  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin best option to invest on: August 11, 2023, 11:58:53 PM
Theirs so many investment to invest but many people are seeing bitcoin as the highest place to invest their money but I'm not seeing bitcoin as highest investing plan ever, I don't know people have not invested in bitcoin is thinking of bitcoin as investment you can make millions dollars when you started, I'm preaching to change our people mindset of bitcoin investment so that they will not hope that bitcoin investment make somebody to be rich the way they think of it.

Some people have not known that so many people who are investing in bitcoin doesn't fully depend on bitcoin as most generating income, they are using bitcoin as their side hustle, let us reduce the mentality of people and sense of humour by not seen bitcoin as the shortest way to make money, And if they should continue with such believe they may commit suicide when they put all their money and problems in bitcoin and lose by the end of the investment.

We have other investment that we can make money with, importation and exportation and also real estate management and also gas plant business that will be given weekly and monthly income depends how broad is the business and management, sometimes people do teach their children bitcoin and its not bad but let us teach our children other investment that can profit them as we think that bitcoin will profit then in future. Whoever that is having bitcoin as major source of income should spread it source of income and make bitcoin a side hustle.

It's good to invest in bitcoin but let us remember that it's a virtual and any money and profit we make in bitcoin should be directed to establish another business that will be seen physically and be managed physically.

Your post is a little confusing, I mean compared to other investments like the stock market, or other alternative altcoins out there for sure Bitcoin is going to be the best investment that you could do just because it is the most guaranteed cryptocurrency that could easily give you profit. For me its kinda normal for them to see Bitcoin as the highest investing plan, and it's actually possible to earn millions on cryptocurrency if you're going to think about it, but even though it is possible it doesn't mean it's going to happen, Also it would depend on your investment if you invest a small amount for sure you're just going to earn a small amount as well. The higher you invest the higher the profit as well.

If you're going to invest in Bitcoin for sure just don't do it if you still don't have something that is going to sustain your needs, it's going to be a thing for sure because Bitcoin is a risky investment, you don't really want to sell your Bitcoin just because you needed money that could just end up losing your investment or selling to a lose. If you're going to invest you need it to HODL in order to make a profit and it would going to work if you don't have some kind of savings.

It is for sure going to be great if you have multiple income streams instead of just relying on Bitcoin investments. I've listened to some podcasts and it says that if you really want to get to something like a million early what you're going to do is invest in getting multiple income streams because if you only have 1 source of income it is going to be difficult to reach a million and it's going to be risky since if you lose that source of income you don't have anything that could sustain you.
