I voted for Yes, I think it's no brainer that this should be pinned on top so that newbies can see it when they joined this community and most likely will read it first before asking questions here.

And thanks for the mentioned as well @Ratimov, as I continue to share topics that can really help not just beginners here, but as some seasoned members as there are a lot of things that we can learn like everyday. The learning curve should be a continuous path for all of us.

James Harden skipped media day… The 76ers are finding themselves in quite a bind. Will Harden sit out the season? I can’t recall a playing having done that before over contract disputes. Maybe Pippen with his surgery right before the season…
Isn't that what Ben Simmons did? I am not sure about the details though.
EDIT:
MrBeast sponsoring the Charlotte Hornets is wild…
Just to stretch the details about the "MrBeast" news. I don't know why he picked the Hornets but this will be a good one for them.
https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/38547974/hornets-launch-jersey-patch-deal-influencer-mrbeast
Quote
The Charlotte Hornets are launching a jersey-patch partnership with YouTube and social media sensation MrBeast, a novel entrée between an influencer and an NBA franchise.

MrBeast -- whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson -- will advertise his Feastables logo on the Hornets' uniforms and media backdrops for news conferences, the team said on Monday.

How about this?

Media Day Jimmy Buckets. Grin Nice hairstyle.
I'm trying to figure out a Hollywood artist from a certain movie that he looks like. Was it from the Blade? Wesley Snipes? Cheesy
This is the first time I saw Jimmy have that kind of hair and it's somehow unusual. If he didn't wear that Miami Heat outfit, I might not recognize him.

Yes, give me a chuckle seeing Jimmy with that kind of hair style, and some of his team mates are also laughing like Bam because they are somewhat confused just like the rest of us. Lol. He said that he is emo right now, and there are interview about him saying goodluck to Dame and the Bucks but he is still going to beat them.

However, I don't think that he will have that kind of hair during the game itself, it's going to bother him. So this is just maybe for publicity stunt and so we can talk about him with this kind of hair.
783  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - November on: October 01, 2023, 02:32:16 AM

Casimero is only in the rank 7. If anyone deserves the shot to a title, it's Luis Nery but even him was skipped by Innoue all for unification. There is a possibility that Inoue will move to 126 lbs and probably skip all but challenge Robeisy Ramirez. After all, he already beat Fulton which is below Robeisy so fighting Fulton I think is more of a strategy to get the WBO belt from Robeisy.

Too much hype for Luis Nery. He will just be eaten alive by Naoya Inoue if they will face off. Nery was being skipped by Inoue? Definitely no. Inoue is not like that but it's om his promoter that is arranging the fight. It's just that Nery is likely prohibited to fight in Japan (please correct me if I'm wrong).

Nery is just full of talk. I don't see him a good match for Inoue.

Marlon Tapales is the most reasonable boxer that Inoue should face and it now happened. Casimero will soon catch up but to become a champion again regardless of who will be his opponent at that time.

I think Nery will be too small for Inoue though, although Nery has the power to knockout anyone at this weight, but he hasn't face a fighter with a caliber of Inoue. For me, it's better if we will see Nery vs Casimero, two trash talker and had power and see who will be the last man standing.

Inoue should focus first on Marlon Tapales, although we wanted to support him as a big underdog, but we really haven't seen a boxer close to defeat Inoue. Only Nonito was able to almost beat Inoue in their first encounter, very close fight and Donaire broke Inoue's orbital bone. But after that, Inoue level up and knockout everyone he fights, including a rematch with the Filipino Flash.

Anyone watches the Ugas vs Barriors? I just read that Barrios won already, and get the WBC interim welterweight belt. He is known to be a 140 lbs, moved up to 147 lbs defeated by Keith Thurman.

However, in this fight it was a different Barrios as he was able to knock down Ugas and then dominated the fight. Ugas though, looks sluggish, he had back to back losses already and he is lucky to get this chance to fight for the belt, but it was very clear that the better man won the fight.
785  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Jermell Charlo - September 30th in Las Vegas on: October 01, 2023, 01:59:44 AM
Charlo already looks huge in the image, so I doubt that he will have to add some weight fight night. But as you have said, Canelo might rehydrate here, come maybe around 172-175 lbs'ish for this fight and I think this is what he usually weight during fight night.

He should be, as he is the taller and so there's room for him to make more weight on that kind of frame. But we don't know if can can translate to more power on him or not.

And I do agree that since there are no trash talking in the pre-fight, it's good to see Canelo just relax and laughing. And I just thought about Manny's demeanor during that fight as well. But in the ring we can see totally a different person as Manny destroys his opponent. So let's see how Canelo proved his critics wrong by beating Charlo.

We will see, this fight is critical to Canelo as a lost means that he really lost some of his power or maybe the competition in him is no longer there. Just like other great boxers before him who suddenly lost the fire inside of them and can't pull the trigger anymore.
786  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 30, 2023, 08:40:33 PM
Anything above +1000 is already a value for me.

Based on the odds shared by @inthelongrun, I would easily go with the teams that have already proven themselves in the playoffs. With that said, I'm picking the following teams:

@Warriors
@Lakers
@Clippers (I still have faith in Leonard).
Clippers just don't impress me with Kawhi and Leonard always sitting out or injured. Yes, the new rule should change that up a little, but then you still have Westbrook who can play good but has a lot of bad moments.

You should look up the odds on the Spurs. They tanked and are prob a way better team then what we saw last year. They wanted that lottery pick.

San Antonio is going to be terrible again this year.  They didn't tank they jist weren't that good.  The kid might end up a good player in the league but it's going to take him awhile to get a grip on the league.  Remember when lebron came in at 18 years old.  He was good but not good enough year 1 to make the cavs the best in the league.

And it's all about the team mates as well, I'm not sure if the Spurs has the right player to blend in well with Wemby's talent. The prospect is there but we will have to see how Wemby can adjust in the NBA. And it's going to be very tough and close fight for the rookie of the year as Chet will also play this year and still be considered as a Rookie. The Lakers looks solid in paper, it's just a matter of execution I guess and how healthy AD can be throughout the season specially in the second half. As usually the wear and tear will show after 40 games on his body again.
787  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bubble bot secures 97.25ETH in private presale on: September 29, 2023, 08:15:21 AM
Bubble Bot Secures 97.25ETH in the presale in just few hours amazing response they got

It doesn't impress me. I'm not saying it happened here, but I've seen such strategies in 2017. Super successful ICO, tokens sold out in 1 second. Then the listing and the price cascade down. Reason? The ICO was fraudulent, the buyers were developers themselves, to then spam social media about the huge demand for their tokens.

What happened to the previous project you hyped? "DingDang Bubble" From what I see, it is not listed on CMC and coingecko. is it Dead?

Yeah, this is just another crazed that we have seen in the past, just those ICO back in 2017 wherein there are a lot of investors who pour their money on it. However, it didn't last though.

Again, it's very obvious, when the market is going to be saturated with this kind of "X bot" project and this shill in this community to be the biggest, but then again who knows as it might be just used to create pump and dump for this kind of projects, sorry to burst the bubble to the OP.
788  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to monitor newly created etherium wallets? on: September 29, 2023, 04:50:56 AM
I watched some YouTube bloggers who tell guides how to find successful whale wallets in DEX, and poke their deals. Such whales have insider information. But when I really started checking the transactions of the token wallet, I saw that most of the first buyers use clean and new wallets. It's logical, why leave the story behind, so that people like me and other guys copy them. I thought that it would be possible to track the crypto wallets that have just been created, and monitor them. parse wallets from the first tranazktsii, map their addresses with the names of tokens and try to repeat their purchases. Maybe my questions are stupid and my ideas are naive.

I use both Nansen and Arkham Intelligence for wallet tracking. Don't expect every feature to be free, though.

Speaking of Nansen though, I'm not really sure if you are aware of this, [Warning]: Crypto firm Nansen ask users to reset their password.

Also, you really can't know if a wallet has just been newly created. You can only know by their first transaction. And how do you even know for sure if the new wallet is a whale's wallet? It could be anyone's wallet.

That's why I don't trust those accounts that says they follow whales wallet. Sometimes it just create more confusion for newbies.

As for the service ask by the OP, there is none so far and I think it's better be that way though.
789  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Jermell Charlo - September 30th in Las Vegas on: September 29, 2023, 03:33:59 AM
https://www.boxingnews24.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Canelo-vs-Charlo-New-York-Press-Conference-08.15.23_09_30_2023_Presser-1-boxing-photo.jpg

it does not look that Charlo is two divisions below Canelo. I have no doubts that Canelo gonna win, but Charlo gonna cause him troubles for sure. We would see different Charlo, because he did not have to cut weight to fit into 154. I would not call it a disadvantage for his to fight in new weight class. In fact he risks nothing, as he went up to Canelo territory. While Canelo could lose belts, in case of a loss, Charlo looses nothing. When there is low to lose, he might show different boxing.

Their heights might be somewhat deceiving. We've seen Tank Davis fight taller fighters who were coming up to his weight but it was still a mismatch because of the power difference and being better acclimated to the weight. Canelo is used to fighting bigger and stronger fighters like Kovalev, Callum Smith, and Caleb Plant. Charlo might be able to make weight comfortably but that does not mean he will be able to sustain the punches from Canelo who is by far the heaviest hitter he has faced.

And to add to that, this is his first time to go to 168 lbs, so his power hasn't been tested, although we can see that he has it at 154 lbs. But this is new weight class for him. His body could adjust to the weight, no doubt about that, but can he bring his power to super middle weight?

That could only be answer inside the ring, if he tasted Canelo's power and how he will respond. But as far as Canelo goes, as you have said, he has face a lot of good boxers throughout his career, to be included there is GGG. But no one has the blue print yet to crack that solid chin of Canelo.
790  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Marathon Digital Holdings failed experiment on: September 28, 2023, 12:26:06 PM

https://twitter.com/MarathonDH/status/1707067548661928108

Not sure what kind of experiments that they are running, but it good that the network rejected it. According to them they are doing some experiments to optimized their operations.

But still though, you don't messed the network or the blockchain and it just shows that bitcoin's network architecture is so strong that it can withstand this kind of experiments and then continue to run 99.99% of the time without breaking.

What are your thoughts on this one? Do you agree that they can simple run a experiment, what if they succeed here? what will be the repercussions?
791  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin recognized as digital currency in Shanghai on: September 28, 2023, 11:49:28 AM
I don't trust the Chinese President Mr. Xi.

Neither do I, but the ann does not come from him, but from Shanghai People’s Court, although I think it is better to assume that if they announce this, it is because they somehow have the approval of the President or high authorities of the state. With the policy they followed after being one of the first countries to adopt Bitcoin and its mining, I don't trust a simple statement.

Yeah, we should take everything with a grain of salt here. I mean it's surprises us that suddenly Shanghai People's Court recognized BTC, but it's kinda late though. They have had their hardline stance since 2017-2018 if my memory serves me right, that's why there are a lot of exchanges who move out and then the rating they gave to bitcoin is very poor.

Then the drama on the mining itself driving out most of the miners outside of China. And then they just make a U-turn this 2023? Hmm, something is not adding up right here from the Chinese government.
792  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advice when you are going a bit far in gaming and betting on: September 28, 2023, 10:49:03 AM
They were probably introduced by someone and after checking it out for a while, they registered themselves at that casino. And after they know what's inside the casino, they decide to deposit some money to gamble. And finally, they will gamble at the casino but if they don't have self-control, they won't know how long they have been gambling, which means they have gone too far in gambling.
The mistake beginners make is that they are too proud to ask more questions and think too much that the questions they ask will be a burden for someone who has introduced them to a gambling site, even though that information is very important, gambling is not just about registering and making a deposit because there is a lot that must be prepared beforehand. Gambling, for example, prepares mentally before experiencing defeat in gambling.

They think that they know it all though, but perhaps they just don't like to bother anyone and so they discover it themselves and see who that works or how the game is operated. And so with that kind of strategy, they will have to lose some money in the beginning before they can gain that experience.

It is important to understand the risks of gambling because sometimes with every new registration at casinos and gambling sites we often find people who play further and further when they lose, they are not controlled and continue to spend money making deposits repeatedly even though they are losing, that is the biggest mistake beginners make, it should be If someone introduces them to a gambling site, it is best to ask more about what needs to be prepared before starting.

Yeah, when someone was introduced to gambling, they really have to know the risk involved. Like losing big money and then themselves getting addicted. That's why it's better not to learn it or it someone mentor you, he or she is not a good friend for bringing gambling into your life.
793  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency enlightenment and development. on: September 27, 2023, 09:13:23 PM
Cryptocurrency has come to stay. The first cryptocurrency blockchain was discovered in 2008 by Satoshi Nakamoto and after that bitcoin  was launched in January 2009 by Satoshi Nakamoto. Thereafter, gradually came in different others. Since then cryptocurrency users especially bitcoin users have witnessed its contributions to our society. Many start-ups, fund raising, creation of jobs, sources of income and making ends meet for many different people. Although we are still on the early adopters  stage, a sensible lot have been achieved so far. Adopters have been making  thoughts and efforts, but l think more still needs to be done for better outcome. With more serious thoughts and continuous effort we stand the chance to achieve more than expected  in this particular technology and make our society  a more useful area with it. What do you think?

Just remember though that Satoshi took inspiration from others cryptocurrency way before he developed and released Bitcoin. He just sharpen it up and make some changes and that's what it is today.

Not sure what you meant by creation of jobs, but if you are talking about blockchain yeah, but it is still a small market if I'm not mistaken. As the adoption is very slow in this particular technology. But as far as being one of the best asset, bitcoin is slowly making it make although there are still investors who doesn't want to take the risk because of it's volatility.

I'm already running a Bounty campaign.
He seems to be the campaign manager. I don't know, but he must be running the campaign because it seems that no one has heard of it.
I read about the project and did not find anything different about it. What is your plan for development?

Most likely he was a paid shill by the project itself. As you have said, we haven't heard any from the project and he was clearly promoting it and as you have said, maybe it's part of his job as a bounty managing not just to manage the campaigns, but to promote it.

But as we all and can smell it from a far, good that the project is going to run it's bounty campaign and hopefully it can carry out and pay everyone. However, for those who have been in this community for so long, we all know that it takes something for a project to be successful.
795  Economy / Speculation / Re: After the bull-run plan. on: September 27, 2023, 12:18:28 PM
If I had the possibility not to sell my bitcoins, I would not do but those who sell either need to spend that money or they are planning to buy again after a year or two when prices are very low. most of those who want to keep Bitcoin in the hope of selling it at the highest price end up with not sell it at a high price, and they may sometimes sell it at the bottom instead of the top.

Sooner or later though, there will be point in time that we need to sell some of our bitcoin. At least you enjoy the fruits of your hardship if you hold on it for a long time and then sell it to make profits. And the best thing is that you can re-invest anytime you like.

Without a good strategy, the best thing you can do is to sell as much money as you need and leave the rest until you need the money. $17,000 was a dream in the past, and after four years, this has become a very low price for Bitcoin.

Yes, strategy is needed, well in the beginning you might just go with the flow and everything. But as you gain experience already, you can formulate your own strategy on how to accumulate and when to sell and I think that is a good sign of a good investor.
796  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 27, 2023, 11:28:25 AM
Time's so fast. So we're already in the fight week. This is still a cherry-pick opponent by Canelo but I am still watching this fight live, unlike his previous fight in Mexico. I want to see Canelo knocking out Jermell and shut his big loud mouth. Jermell will be in for a shock of his life. Canelo will disrespect Jermell's power and will march forward to land his vicious punches to the body and head.
Yeah, time is definitely fast. That fight with Ryder is still fresh in my memory. He cannot knock him out due to the fact that Ryder is one heck of a tough fighter with a heart for the sport and then Canelo's left is still hurting(hesitating). Let's see if he can use that left in the maximum power for this fight against Jermell.

Here are the odds for the upcoming match of Canelo versus Charlo.

Saul "Canelo" Alvarez - | Winner @1.25 | By KO @3.95 | By Decicion @1.67 |
Jermell Charlo - | Winner @3.85 | By KO @11.00 | By Decicion @5.20 |

Canelo is the super favorite here so those who are expecting Charlo to win this fight will definitely take home some good profits. Is anyone here who likes taking that kind of risk?
I doubt that will happen because Canelo has the experience but I like hungry players like Charlo and I think he is also confident that he will win this fight because he said this had been one of his goals in his life. It will be a hard decision for high-risk gamblers.

Canelo's winning in KO might be something that gambler who love taking big risk may take, though yes, there are gamblers who also love to see bigger odd something that always wanted to bet against the favorite, it's a good kind of pick which if luck permits and upset happen the multiplier is really something that you will going to enjoy.

Let see if how both fighters will showcase their talents, possible for another win for Canelo here as for my personal take, sparing some coin just to add up for another extra entertainment while watching the fight.

I would take the risk for the KO win at 3.95; it's very attractive, especially considering that Canelo is in his comfortable division. The fight might end via decision, but with odds at just 1.67, it's not as appealing. I'm expecting a more entertaining fight, so I'm leaning towards the KO outcome. It's still early, but at least the odds are already available, allowing us to make early betting choices.

Indeed, I agree with taking that risk at the great odds. Yeah, Canelo didn't knockout his last opponent in John Ryder, but Ryder is a tough mofo and a true SMW boxer. As opposed to Charlo, who's moving up in 2 weight class and so we didn't know if he can bring his power to this weight or how his chin will hold against the power of Canelo.

Maybe it will be a similar outcome like in the Caleb Plant fight. Wherein Caleb has success early, but Canelo, being a slow starter, is just picking his shots early. But once he got his momentum in full and heated, up, just a matter of time before knocking Caleb. Maybe similar scenario here.
797  Other / Beginners & Help / [Warning]: New Xenomorph Android malware targets more crypto wallets/banks on: September 26, 2023, 10:38:17 AM
It seems that the Android Malware has evolved again, this time using phishing page and then attracting users to update their Chrome browser and then downloading the malicious code thru sample like this.

And the scope is bigger now, not just to steal banking informations, but also expanded to other other crypto currency apps.

Highlighted in bold are the newly added targets:

It was first reported by @lovesmayfamilis here:Android malware targets 13 bitcoin wallets and 400 banks.

But this time, the threat actors has expanded including United States and more crypto currency apps depending on the demographics.

Quote

These areas include Spain, Portugal, Italy, Canada, and Belgium.

However, this latest campaign also added plenty of financial institutions from the United States, together with multiple crypto-wallet applications, totaling more than 100 different targets per sample, each one using a specifically crafted overlay to steal precious PII from the victim's infected device.

Actors have put a lot of effort into modules that support Samsung and Xiaomi devices. This makes sense, considering that these two combined make up roughly 50% of the whole Android market share, according to recent data presented in multiple recent studies.

https://www.threatfabric.com/blogs/xenomorph

So again, this is just another warning to be very careful with those androids apps that you think it is safe to download.
798  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Zhang Vs Joyce II WBO Interim World Heavyweight Championship on: September 24, 2023, 02:49:18 AM
Zhang retains his interim heavyweight title by KO in round 3. The Chinese fighter had a much easier night than their previous match. Zhang is slow and technically deficient but Joyce had no defense and ate too many heavy punches which he was not able to resist. He is still Usyk's mandatory but I see his possibilities of winning as very slim. At 40 years old he is not going to improve enough to beat a top pound for pound fighter.

Wow, in just 3 rounds? I don't think that Joyce can come back from this crushing defeat, and it just shows that although Zhang is old, his style might be very difficult for Joyce.

So it's over for the hype on Joyce now, no more big money fights for him at the HW for the meantime. On the other hand, it is good to see Zhang pair against top HW like Usyk or maybe Dubois for another stepping stone fight.

But now sure about Shib, sorry for those supporters here, but I think it's just a fad or what we call hype in the market. So there will be time that it will be pump hard and then goes down. Unless you are in for that kind of pump and dump scheme, then maybe you will go and invest on this kind of projects. But for those who are really looking for solid project, I guess this kind of meme coins are not for us.
