Maybe getting relegated would be a good thing? We have to look at it that way, or at least they have to because they have no other choice. Reality is that even if they wanted to, they can't stay. So, what they should think about now is that they could have a season where they win most of their games, sure they could be bad in second division as well but if they are any good, then they should be coming back, or even if they can't, at least win most of the games.
Look at Schalke, they relegated last year, and came back only one year later and they are looking much better, won 20 out of 34 games, quite good achievement, this is why I believe going down could give you a morale boost for a while.

Considering how they are basically just ignoring beating each other, lol, it definitely will not change much. For example ATM and Sevilla both got a tie, they could have changed that situation, Sevilla could have won and be above, but they didn't and that is why I am not entirely sure if it would work in this situation.
I agree that there is a limit to something, and Sevilla is maxing out what they can do, they weren't expected to be fourth when the season started, they did amazing, and kudos to them but just because fourth is good for them, doesn't mean that they should have skipped on third which they could have, even second was possible for a while before they started to lose.
I wonder why Sevilla did not do everything to take advantage of their chance to finish second in La Liga. The only explanation I can think of is that they are tired after the whole season. The situation was similar in Barcelona, when they lost the entire series of matches. Finish second or third is not really different and i don't think the players did big efforts to achieved this, that's my personal opinion and i believe the main occupation for them is to try to win a title in la liga, i wonder how long Barcelona-madrid-atleteco dominance in la liga will last and who will be the first club to break it? |

That's make sense. I think at this moment La Liga is not just about Real Madrid and Barcelona. Now there are Atletico, Sevilla and Real Betis which even though their points are very different from Barca and El Real, but we can assume that apart from Barca and Madrid, Laliga has several teams that can compete with each other with a point difference that is not much different. Sevilla, Real Betis, Valencia and Villarreal are only able to provide competition for the top 6 in the standings, but these teams have not been able to break the dominance of Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico madrid in the fight for the La Liga title. In the last 10 years La Liga has only been woning by Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, while other teams have only been able to compete to qualify for Europe. That's one of things that i hate about la liga to be honest, because unfortunately there is no much excitement and no much teams can play for the title's, i wonder how long this dominance will last and who will be the first team to break it? |

I think that it is quite hard for Rennes to join the Champions League as of now. Because they made their job much more difficult by losing to Nantes 2-1 the last time. It was a totally unexpected result and now they are even three points away from Monaco which are at the third position in the standings. And Rennes' next game is going to be against Marseille home which is one of their most difficult matchups. If they don't win, they are finished for sure.

Milan are going to have a really challenging game for certain but I still trust them about defeating Atalanta this week. Atalanta don't seem like a very solid team recently. Milan already beat them before and they can do this again in a critical situation like this. The championship chance is on the line and there is no luxury for Milan to make a big mistake now. It was still nice to watch Real Madrid like that even though they were already the champions of this season. They played like it was a decider game for the championship. Benzema and Vinicius Junior were the most performing players and I wouldn't like to overlook Modric also. If I'm not wrong, he made three assists. He is still performing insanely good and he's a player whose place is hard to fill there.

It was a very bad day for Arsenal and the fans. I assume that they weren't expecting to have such game today. And honestly I also waited for a high level of rivalry between them. Its obvious that real madrid coach ancelotti was not interested in the derby game because of the starting squad most of them didn't play much and despite that real madrid team managed to take possesion of the ball and they had as much chances as atletico we all know that if they played seriously it would've been a different result.
It was a good decision; infact the best decision any coach can make. To rest players and also allow injured players enough time to recover in time ahead of the champions league final against high flying Liverpool side. Since Real Madrid already won the league title, there was little reasons to be very competitive. The bigger stage is ahead That's right, the final against Liverpool is without doubt the match of the season and the team need to be in a perfect format that day, also they are already champions of the liga so its totally logic to play with some bench players |
