~snip Figure out how to win? Stay consistent until the end, don't give up.
this is the key, have an average 10 points per round, and you will be able to get prize spot, close to winning the pool but it is very hard, TBH, one/two lousy rounds, and you start to make some unexpected predictions to get back into solid position, which drags you down below it is better to stick with favorites, because pools does not encourage chasing surprises by their point system, but that is also not easy

@CLS63 you're running it hard all season, I'm frankly exhausted from the effort but we have 3 more rounds and go h2h in Round 12 so let's put on a show for this Division, eh?
you have Merseyside derby with me this round first and it looks as in real life, you fight for title, I am struggling to avoid relegation, but will do my best at Merseyside looking to round, Serbia featured in three (or four questions, if I count WC basketball), will be a bit hard to avoid cheering for my countrymen's, but will do my best to put good answers being on vacation does not help either, so gut answering at best have a good round

-snip then who will be better than Dortmund? Leipzig, Union? Bayer? I can well admit this, but I do not believe that all of them will be stronger than Dortmund at the same time (provided that Dortmund itself does not fail).
Leipzig and Leverkusen have teams to be above Dortmund this season, maybe Union, but you never know with them nevertheless, it is true, Bayern is champion, Dortmund certain in UCL spot, and Augsburg fight for bare survival each season, and they all make it, typical Bundesliga season who would think that Stuttgart will score 5, Bremen 4 pieces, maybe our choice Mainz will be first to change coach after all, buwaytress

-snip And I couldn't resist from making bet on Latvia win @2.25
USA - Lithuania should be very interesting. We (Lithuania) come to this game relaxed, it's not do or die game for us, but if we would manage to beat USA, that would be such huge boost for us before 1/4 final. I'm thinking about making small bet on our win.
how the hell I didn't saw odds on Latvia to be that high, they were favorites for a win IMO, and close to one at the moment Lithuania played very good so far, it is a group stage so win over USA will not have some big matter, but good luck today Canada vs Spain will also be a great duel today, and Serbia is playing Dominicana for next round, should be easy to win, but after lose against Italy, one never know

Not a good week to not have Haaland, eh? for the participants who do not have this striker in their squad already for me personally, he has already brought a total of 40 points yesterday, this is just the week when all questioning about Haaland came to pay-off made that mistake last year, and this season I have him as perma-captain, expect for some DGW, when I will question that, but all other weeks he is C aside of him, other let me down so far, but there is more to play, and Arsenal vs United is what I am looking for, due to having for players in that duel

Trofo, just to be sure, my Serie A answer is correct (No) because Napoli has lost their game against Lazio yesterday? It doesn't matter if Inter wins or loses today, right? Because the question is will both of them win their home games. So as soon as Napoli lost, the Inter - Fiorentina game doesn't matter.
it should be NO, congrats on expecting Napoli or Inter not to win, Lazio started season in a bad manner, but change it all yesterday this is second in a row win for Lazio in Naples, and both times they were featured in BFSL questions, seems that they play tricky when they are highlighted in questions

Come on Everton you can do it! Said everyone before Sheffield scored 2 lol
Even better, Pickford put his team behind. When you think the Toffees can't be topped, they top themselves. Least Danjuma got them back in. -snip Pickford and whole defense are miserable this first four matches, all filled with mistakes and failures Danjuma scored, which is refreshing, but it is just a point in the end what is good, we scored two goals, and that does not happen to often, so it is something to hang-on before international break they say "third is a charm" Everton will really need that charm this season to avoid relegation, start is below any expectation, one point from two easy home fixtures and away with relegation fighter

-snip I mean at 36, it's really crazy that he can outlast most the young ones with ease, but Djere really did give him a run for his money,
TBH, Djere was nowhere near winning this match, and odds on Djokovic at 0:2 are showing that perfectly tennis is a difficult sport, you need to win that last set from 0:0, and Djere was simply out in all those three sets early on, didn't even upset Djokovic mind at any time, losing first serve in each set from third to fifth with all said, Towns scored 39, Milan won, and that is call for losing this round for me, congrats CLS63 on a win

submitted my picks early Friday should not be missed, it is almost secure 2 points, with a chance to win more in case you put up a good difference or exact score, which will be hard
will be interesting to see will Bayern overturns their usual bad luck in M'Gladbach, that has a bad start after draw in Augsburg and home lose over Leverkusen

I've generally been 50-50 this season with the 50-50s, but I feel like it's been going the way of the very very slight "lower-seeded" team in even odds. Last round it was Canada over France, this one is Haecken (their odds improved yesterday though).
that is kudos to Cro2 for picking good and interesting matches Canada is not my cup-of-tea, they are miss for me always, since their football plays against Guatemala or some other Carribean football masterpiece Serbia lost to Italy, it will be tough one against Dominican republic with this play as today, Fontecchio entered top5 race with 30 points today, not sure if anyone has him on board (thought about him, but counted on our defense, that wasn't on their best today allowing him 9/11 from field)

I think it's exactly the opposite. Women players in tennis tend to lose games against much weaker opponents "on paper".
I would argue that it is similar in usual competitions, but men have less surprises on GS's due to playing best-of-5 and it is hard to win three sets against better opponent can't count how many times Djokovic overturned 0:2 match on GS, and in women competition that would be already done with all that, glad to see Pegula in third round, match against Svitolina is a point decider for me, odds on her are @1.36, not realistic IMO, it will be tougher to pass through

Really bad luck for Newcastle, they have the most difficult group of all the competition, its gonna be hard to overcome the group stage and reach the 16 phase.
yeah, bad luck, but also fourth pot they simply had to get some hard opponents from top 2 pots, and third pot gave them Milan, which is also tough but overall, looking PSG this season, Dortmund as well, I think that they are the ones that had to be afraid from Newcastle, not that other way around, if I had to pick, Newcastle is probably closer to next round than Dortmund or Milan, maybe even PSG can see themselves into Europa league from spring

Probably most interesting game today is Aberdeen - Hacken, first leg ended 2:2, as in most other pairs leading teams have at least 2 goals advantage. ~snip
in first set, it was all but enough for teams to have 2 goal difference Dinamo is knocked out from Sparta, and Aris scored 6 goals against Slovan, who would see that coming Ludogorets can't beat Ajax (I fell for that trap last time around) can they? ~snip
did you take it? Hacken is up 0:2, but Aberdeen is coming back, just scored, they were down 2 goals in first match too, seems that they don't know how to play until conceive two goals

not sure if anyone is following basketball championship outside from upper draw that gives scorers for question, but Venezuela vs Georgia is giving vibes as it is a court in a park nearby, not professional tournament
back to back dunk missed, and after that missed lay-up, 32 countries is way too much for any basketball tournament

-snip This is totally different competition, but it is good that you posted this and reminded me that FA Cup qualification is starting this Friday knew that it is different competition, but League Cup does not have a topic, or I couldn't find it, so used FA cup, it is at least cup, better than use EPL topic update on Everton, much better second half, and they scored two goals, passing into next round to face Aston Villa there not sure if goals against Doncaster can count as anything, but first official goals from Blues this season, yet to score in EPL after three rounds

If the US Open Tennis question were reversed, I'm the question for the ATP about the two top seeded players Alcaraz and Djokovic for their outcome and number of set dropped was for the WTA, while the WTA is vice versa and was meant for ATP top six seeded players...
I'm literally so sure that it would have been a blood bath on the spreadsheet right now, because just before third round Holger Rune (4), Casper Ruud (5) and Stefano Tsitsipas (7) have already all been eliminated, and those are some massive upsets. Who would have expected predicted either Iga Swiatek and Sabalenka not to drop any after the third rounds ? and that's look like very probable right now.
didn't look much on answers on ATP, but first option should be without lost set, with option to lose two, it was a no brainer to pick first option for Alcaraz and Djokovic (presume first option was most picked) and all those mentioned after from Djokovic part, so does not have any meaningful opponent till eventual final match as far as WTA goes so far, all top6 are still in tournament

tried to find EFL League cup topic, but fell short for that, so will use this one Everton is playing worst club in whole four English leagues (Doncaster, League two bottom), and currently losing on half-time 1:0
it is not that we are losing what bothers me, it is that Doncaster is actually playing better, and Everton has almost whole first team on pitch, hopefully situation will change in second half

all three tonight matches started, and still goalless while Copenhagen is almost certain to be in group stage, with an away win, and home favorite against Rakow, other two are much more interesant
Rangers is playing against PSV, last season re-match, first match finished 2:2 as last season, will this one end-up 0:1 as last season, or PSV will find their revenge AEK is chasing 0:1 from first match against Antwerp, will be a pretty tough match, and probably under goals till the end
