That's five. Spread the wealth when you can guys. There is so much greed in these cryptos atm, it makes me sick. If we build a strong community, profits will come in time. Let's focus on the coin, and to the future. Let the weak hands and short sighted toil, while as a community we push....forward. Wink

Cheers, I will put some in my Reddit tip wallet as well, thanks again

There are quite a few coins in existence.  But a few contenders seem to be rising to the top of the poll.

Voted for Mint, thanks for the opportunity Bill.

Hello MintCoin community,

I am going to run a promotional giveaway that allows new users a chance to get a head start with some free coins. I will send 10,000 Earthcoins to the first 10 members of this forum if they will complete the instructions below...

That's nice that you are generous with your Earthcoins but we really don't need this to be posted in this forum thread.

Pleast post this on your own blog or make your own thread.

add MINT!

please submit your request to twitter or fb account or send email

Mintcoin has been in the Cryptsy's top 6 coins by volume for almost a week straight...

Mintpal did 2400 BTC in Mint volume in one day a week ago and Mint has consistently been the highest average volume coin traded there.

The reasons for adding Mint to your exchange are easy:  Fees

Glad you are still here.

You are sticking through like a champ.

The PoS minting is interesting to watch. "Mined" at first 10,000~, then 70, now 81. When will it end Huh Cool

Awesome man...

Can't wait for mine to start... Cheesy

I wonder if it's going to be a solid coin.

It's nice that all the tech is a-okay and that this coin will be POS in  2 weeks, but in the mean time you have the miners dumping the sh*t out of this coin. I wonder what is left after the POW has ended. Let's hope it will regain some value, but who knows?

20% interest sounds nice, unless you bought in at 39 (like I have) and the coin stays in the lower twenties...

I have only POS crypto's, with mainly NXT and some MINT (and stakes at NEM and eXo). All for different reasons.

We are working towards a long-term development that is branded and works well for people new to cryptos who don't want to setup miners in order to get the benefits of mining.

Instead of mining, everyone holding will be minting, and they will help secure the network.

Cheers.
I know what POS is and how it works, but my problem is about the mining phase.

There must be people with tens of millions MINT and then there are those like me (don't feel sorry, because this was an sidestep for me and I only have 0.9btc worth), who have far less. From a distribution point-of-view that doesn't really look to good. You end up with the same whales and a lot of people with very small amounts (the ones that don't mine but buy).

I'm really curious how this coin will develop (or not) in the next 2-4 weeks.

Yes, we are going to be doing giveaways and bounties in order to spread to those who did not have the opportunity to mine it or get in early.

Everyone is welcome to buy in right now the price is very low.

The beauty of the PoS is that the people with the most amount of coins have the most to gain by giving those coins away as bounties for the coin development.

Sure, but dude those logos your getting excited about on mintcointalk are pretty damn boring and more suited to leafcoin. Just being honest.
Mint coin is not simply about a mint leaf, geez! Your forgetting the whole minting process.
Please someone with an ounce of creativity design a proper logo better than a damn leaf and I will give them 150k coins myself.

That is why we are not rushing into it, so please join the discussion at mintcointalk.com

Hey everyone just settle down and take 12 hours off from this god damn forum, yes, people do have lives outside of cryptocurrencies.

You guys need to stop being short-sighted and just chill out

If you guys want to see things happen, then put up bounties... like myself and others have done

Otherwise, just sell your mintcoins and go away

At this point,

We are forming a community and the more that people come at us with hate and FUD, the stronger we will become.

You can go look at charts and see how coins have come and gone, lived and died, but you are forgetting one thing.  Mintcoin is different.  It is not just another PoW coin or PoS coin.  It was a collaboration between people from around the planet to make a coin that could be distributed nicely through mining initially, and then allow for the coin to survive without the need for mining pools.

You can't compare this coin to a PoW coin.  This is not a short-term coin idea.  It is not a Mooncoin, with some stupid meme about how many revolutions the moon does around the Earth and what not.

No, Mintcoin was designed for MINTING and branding a coin for REGULAR people to be able to understand and participate in.

So feel free to join us or leave, but whining really isn't going to change much

I must say this forum thread is much better after about 5 ignore clicks.

Let's keep on a positive topic here

but honestly, why does everyone think that I am a troll?

I'm not sure, your attitude isn't very good but I know you bought in high.  Your energy would be better spent helping out like welcoming people to the mintcointalk forums and being positive.

Of course, you don't have to do that, but you can't expect a coin to take off without actively participating in the community other than complaining and worrying about your investment.
