Lin / Bter seems to have no interest in voting its 19M block of Crypti; perhaps it's time for the Foundation to pull its 11M block out of voting as well?
There's a possibility that Lin is waiting for it ) I'm kidding of course, but the foundation cannot rely on Lin's will. Agreed, but at the moment even if Lin voted his block he could not make things worse than they currently are. Not that things are all that bad, 93 out of 101 functioning Top Delegates is still a reasonably healthy system.... I wonder if there any way to encourage people to withdraw coins from Bter. Bter hack worked pretty good for the first time, maybe it's time for another one  19% of the supply on a single exchange seems to be one of the most unusual situations among all coins. Just some chinese traders, they doesn't care at all. |

Thanks for all your responces. 7. I personally believe the registration fee is too high. This will be an action item at our meeting on Sunday. I intend to propose lowering the registration fee to 1,000 XCR to register a delegate. I will also propose refunding the other 9,000 XCR already paid to those who registered prior to the change. After the meeting we will announce any changes. Like anything, it must come to a vote, so there is no guarantee.
The problem is lack of interest. What do you (or we) need is technology evangelists, who will popularize crypti "selling points"/features/technologies at bitsharestalk and nxtforum. There is not enough of them (features) today. So I see the plan like this one: 1. Release 0.2.1 with new features (I heard once about "escrow" feature). 2. The 0.2.1 release must include new/beautifil wallet design. 3. The Delegate Rewarde Program must started at x5 rates at 0.2.1 relase. 4. Crypti evangelists must to populate this new features at BTT, nxtforum and bitsharestalk. Sometimes I think that you guys think that after CBC release, or Dapp release it would be a wave of interest by itself, without marketing efforts. No, it wouldn't. All your future plans must include this negative assumption. |

Ok. I have reread the last posts. I've found two answers, each of which is not answering my quistion: Will the foundation be forever the only force, who will decide to whom to be a delegate? The Delegate Reward Peogram will be started after we fix a few issues, and have a stable network. The foundation delegates will also to voted down so others can forge. It was necesary to have delegates with votes higher than what the largest XCR holder could produce. HINT: Bter has 26 Million XCR still.
This poster just says that if foundation wants it would vote down its delegates. And if it doesn't want it can (HAS AN ABILITY) to be the only power who deciedes. |
